In my opinion, the first 10 episodes are unnecessarily long it felt like the story didn't really start until episode 11 and the first 10 episodes, the male lead I didn't like his character he was unnecessarily mean humiliate in the woman for reason because he could and he was a little naïve. Every time the second male lead tells him something he gets offended and falls into his trap like he's a naïve little boy. This makes no sense. Was this review helpful to you?

Good.. but sadly also disappointing.
I'm not gonna spoil much, but the ending :D As always, my very personal (short) review. It's as disappointing as was Gilmore girls for me... This ending...
For me, Chinese romantic-modern dramas are full of too much drama and I often give them lower ratings than these actors deserve, but this time, it was absolutely about the script. And I felt the need to voice my opinion!
They should have made a longer drama if they wanted to give the main lead a career and a sense of accomplishment she deserved. Nothing about the general idea, but come on! No marriage? Only a few(two?) chapters about her and her son? This drama only needed about 2-4 episodes for these truly important worries... The story of her son... The trauma the main character had, the romance, in the end, the story of her ex-husband!!!
The only thing I think didn't lack much of anything, was the story of the best friend, I know my opinion is debatable, but it was refreshing and good and would suggest scripts to be written with such courageous side-female characters and clear relationships more often!!
Also, the subject of the main lead's mother. That was also refreshing, after so many jealous, interrupting and annoying mothers, this was one of the easiest... and favourable of those.. But like always, my personal opinion is, it was also my inexperience, having seen only a few modern-Chinese-dramas :)
I do admit, I still suggest this drama to everyone who loves the actors or these kinds of Chinese dramas. Terry Liu, I like and I think he will be a great actor in the future. Meng Jie is a good actress, but I need to see more dramas from her to recommend her :) Enjoy!!!

If you don't like noona romances, this would be a difficult one for you to watch. The ML lead looks like a little boy compared to the FL. I looked it up they age gap in the show is their age gap in real. I really had to get past his teenager looks to enjoy the romance.
I have no trouble with the age gap, but with his looks, the script needed to be better at portraying a maturity level that suited the relationship and it failed in this. I think the show recognized this because a few times, the dialogue has the ML mentioning that he is young a few times.
There are also instances where the characters are not consistent with the story and this takes away from the enjoyment.
Overall, while nothing stopped me from sitting through the episodes, it did not leave me with any big takeway ideas its..... okay but quite forgettable.

Enjoyable but.....
I really enjoyed this show for the most part. I like a good noona romance! There were some really cute side characters in this that really made the show pop.
There were a few issues I had with the story line though. I could overlook them while watching but they still bothered me enough to share them.
For one I felt like they kept forgetting that she was a mom who was trying to get her kid back, not just working for her own good. She is a mom and older than him, this should have put an obvious pressure on their relationship that wasn't really there. She should have been a lot more mature than him but she wasn't. It didn't feel like a noona romance. It was like two class mates meet after a long time. There was no maturity separation at all and there should have been. It wouldn't have changed anything about the show if she hadn't been a mother at all.
Another issue I had was the scheming behind everyone's backs, even if it was a surprise or for someones good. None of it really made sense to me. It took away from the intelligence of the character, at least to me it did and I think it would have ruined a lot of the friendships.
I love the actor who plays the 2nd lead in this, he was one of the reasons I started watching it. Him and her friends relationship throughout this was such a mess though. It was getting to the point I didn't like him anymore. It drove me nuts when she was trying to hook him up with her friend, wouldn't have happened. Then them bringing in a love rival in the form of an abused former friend of his, was a little over the top for me. For one thing that girl would never act the way she did given her abusive back ground and state of mind, it was just to much for me and felt forced and out of place. If this had happened in real life I don't think the 2nd leads would have ever ended up together. She was to strong willed and to strong of a woman to put up with all the games that kept getting played. She would have just walked away and moved on.
I am glad that the family's in this were as nice as they made them. Even though there was some conflict there it was in a way that made some sense, even if them hiding his past from him didn't make any at all. That was a very big let down in the end because it was kinda pointless after all was said and done.
It was a cute fun drama though and if you can overlook this kinda of stuff then you will enjoy it.

It was a great story
The only complaints I have are that the lead couple didn't really have much chemistry. I felt like the ml was holding the relationship together that the fl never really committed to the relationship. Like she had one foot in and one foot out. He seemed to be the only one initiating the relationship and it felt like she was going along with it.I also didn't like her wardrobe. I understand they were going for a look where she is older than him but his mother dressed better than her. And the outfits his mother wore were more stylish than her marmish clothes.
And why didn't she actually try to get her son back? She said she would but when it came down to it, she just had visitations with him.

A very misleading premise yet quite interesting watch
When I first read the premise of My Dear Lady, I was led to believe that this drama would be a fresh new take on relationships and love, but I was disappointed to find that it was very much the same as most. Despite being slightly disappointed, I found myself enjoying it quite a bit. There were lots of problems with the story and inconsistencies with the characters, but I was able to ignore it if I didn't let my brain get in the way of things. The characters are really funny, the story is cliche in a refreshing way, and the OST was very beautiful.Story 7/10
The story was where I had the most qualms. Ling Xunxun (Jiang Mengjie) is a formerly attractive, intelligent woman who has experienced a fall from grace. Now, she has become a divorced woman who lost custody of her six or seven year old child. She hasn't worked in seven years but is suddenly forced to work as a personal assistant for Cheng Li (Liu Te), a domineering CEO, after she crashes into his extremely expensive car. Sounds interesting, no? I admit it had so much potential, but the execution resembled most modern Cdramas instead of bringing anything new to the table. Even though the FL was 29 years old and had previously been married, she still acted very naive and sometimes very illogical. The male lead, age 23, was still the same typical, cold, seemingly heartless CEO that thaws just for the FL. He later becomes a somewhat bratty, naive childlike thing that is both interesting and annoying. I thought the FL's child would bring some interesting situations to the drama, but the child was barely there and felt way more like a plot convenience to pull in and out whenever the producers saw fit. However, if I put these problems in the back of my mind, I was still able to enjoy it. For people who don't really mind seeing the same cliches and character types over and over, it's still a very fluffy, cute drama. There are a lot of sweet scenes and comedy sprinkled throughout. It is shorter than most Cdramas and never drags noticeably, so it was quite easy for me to finish over a few days. I never felt that it was a chore to finish, unlike with other dramas, so despite my initial disappointment, I was still pretty happy with it. Overall, the plot just wasn't that special and didn't do justice to the amazing, interesting premise that they set up, but that shouldn't stop most people from being able to find something they liked about it.
Characters and Acting 8/10
The characters overall were quite funny and the acting was well done. I had absolutely no prior knowledge of the cast and therefore had zero expectations. As I stated before, Jiang Mengjie portrayed the FL, Ling Xunxun, as a naive and inexperienced child. I found it really hard to believe that she had actually had experience in love and was the mother of a child. She was a housewife for seven years but had no clue how to cook. However, I was able to convince myself not to think too much about it. Even though her character was really inconsistent with her background, Mengjie did her part very well considering what she was given. Liu Te also portrayed his character well. He was a young CEO suffering from PTSD over an incident he is unable to remember. I was pleasantly surprised by Liu Te's ability to portray his character as a serious, cold businessman and still radiate the energy of a boyish, inexperienced boy who was afraid of the dark. I didn't enjoy the chemistry between any of the couples. Because the FL started out as the personal assistant of the ML and tasked with feeding him, driving him to work, vacuuming, and cleaning, the dynamic between them felt like mother and child. This feeling had absolutely NOTHING to do with their age gap and everything to do with the way they treat each other. In the bloopers they show after each episode, it seems like the two of them were very comfortable with each other and had a lot of chemistry, but onscreen it wasn't felt as much. The second leads were absolutely torturous to watch. I hated seeing them together and begged the writers to have them not end up together. Their relationship had no chemistry whatsoever and through their acting, it was hard to believe that they had been friends for over ten years.
Production 9/10
I think the production was quite good. I liked how well done the sets were, the ML's house by far being my favorite. The OST was very beautiful and catchy. I was pleasantly surprised that the entire opening song was in English, which I hadn't seen before. I also really enjoyed the other songs that played throughout the show and go back to them often.
Final Recommendation
Even though this drama intends to bring a different sort of take on relationships, it fails to do so in a very meaningful way, which can be disappointing for people who were anticipating it, like me, but for people who are just looking for a fluffy romance, it is a pretty relaxing and adorable thing to watch. The characters and situations will definitely keep you entertained.

sweet light romance
warning: very sweet! This drama, though the story has it's unique taste you can still find some cliche romantic scenes but it's not overly displayed.
I would say that the actors who played the characters match them so much! and not only the leads but also supporting characters are very cute in their own love story. The most satisfying part is that everyone have their own scenes in the story and they also introduced some minor characters that are involved in the story.
Though I must say, that even though the drama is light and there's not much conflict with villains, and there's no cliche settings like parents against the lead's relationship or whatsoever, the story is very acceptable.
Though I would not recommend it for a Chinese Drama first time viewer, since the setting of the character itself wouldn't match what a first time would want to watch. I would recommend it, once a viewer had more experience watching more of what a Cdrama romance brings.

average but nice vibe
My Dear Lady (2020) -8/10 -cdramaquite cute, fluffy romance story with age gap, CEO[ML] x Subordinate[older FL] plot.
At other hand logic flew far away.
plot -FL is +-29y old housewife with elementary boy son. She finds out her husband cheated on her and decides for divorce. Sadly as woman without work history and money she loses custody of her son to her husband. FL now as free and newbie worker gets introduced to good firm thank her friend and thanks some coincidences ends up as 24/7 assistant to young CEO[23y] of that firm.

A bad addition to noona romance
This drama easily ranks as one of the least enjoyable I've come across. The lead characters were remarkably unappealing. He came across as a spoiled, entitled individual, while her immaturity seemed out of sync with her supposed age and role as a mother fighting for custody of her son. Despite the shared immaturity, attempting to root for the romantic connection between them felt uncomfortable. His demeanor and behavior resembled that of a 12-year-old, making their pairing come across as off-kilter. I must admit, his acting left much to be desired. Although her performance wasn't subpar, it wasn't sufficient to redeem this overall disaster. To make matters worse, the plot itself felt like a tired repetition of every overused trope found in CEO-centered romances. Was this review helpful to you?
Average, but worth watching
I have nothing against age gaps in real life or film. I just have noticed that usually older women dramas aren't my favorite to watch. I appreciate that she rebuilt her life like she deserved. The story's main characters are an older woman (around 30 who had just gotten divorced was moving on with her life, trying to rejoin the work force after many years of staying home. The male lead is about 23 years old and the CEO of a cosmetics company. He is obviously wealthy (including his family). I liked the supporting characters too, they added to the comedic value of the drama *clap* *clap*. Over all the story is nothing ground breaking but it was fun to watch and I liked seeing the woman succeed :)The acting is okay. Not bad, not great. It's worth watching, and it's an easy watch too!

Watch it for romance & fluffy scenes ♥️
? The Plot & The Ending: Even it's not a new context of story for the ML & FL (A bossy CEO fall in love with his assistant), plot it's good executed for this type of show, also screenwriter provided us as expected an happy ending.? Acting & Cast: ML was pretty new in acting when show released but his acting was good, as for FL she did her part very well aswell, offering us a good chemistry to watch and many fluffy scenes.
? Music & Videography: Nothing special, music and video effects were good for the show.
? My Verdict: If you like shows that don't implicate a love triangle, sadness or break-ups, and you like business combined with romance, this show its for you, so don't miss it!

Drama carino.
