It's not great.

I love noona romance cdramas, but this sure does not feel like one. FL is in her late twenties, has a child & is divorced, but acts like a shy 18 year old college student most of the time and her kid has largely no plot relevance. ML is the usual 24 year old domineering CEO, however he devolved into an insolent teen as the story progressed. His character is not very well acted either, the actor did FAR better in Sweet Teeth. I don't see much chemistry between the mains either. Yes, there is a lot of fluff, but it just feels too fake. Like seriously this drama has some of most forced (forced in the sense that it feels weird & fake) hugs and kisses I have ever seen in a romance drama. The reason why it's a 5 and not 3 is, because it's rather low on angst, there are no love triangles worth mentioning & there are just no villainous characters overall. Even the mom is unusually well behaved.
Also like half of the show takes place in a corporate setting, but the writers have forgone the usual crap that goes down in workplace cdramas.

-I must mention that the final reveal about the forgotten ehm incident was the most underwhelming thing ever & the rushed ending left a sour taste in my mouth.

-Also the second lead couple's story was just stupid, I'm sorry.

-As for the third couple, their story is basically educational content to teach us how much better it is to NOT be a sissy. The censors must have loved this.

The chemistry was the best part of the drama!!!!

This show story line was every where, like she worked so she can get her son back but dont show the son until like episode 13 and then it doesn't say whether or not she got him back, the accident in the cave the other child was a bully so how can they act like it was the main leads fault annoying.the side romance with the sissy office boy was rushed idk this was a very rushed and to many holes in the story for me to even understand, the facts that there seems to be like five love couples.
The main leads, The best friend, The colleagues The bosses Assistant, The mother and Mr. Shin For one you didn't even know about the mother and her lover The colleagues seem rush Likeit was just to put something in to just fill up the story.

I would haveGiven 8 more the storyline was alittle more and detailed like if she was doing everything to get her son back why didnt we see more of her son in the story instead it seemed like she forgot about her kid, she never called him or atleast visit only when she was called becuse he was in the hospital. IN MY OPINION SHE BECAME A DEAD BEAT MOM after she divorced!!!

The chemistry was perfect just the story was toooo rushed !!!! Will i watch again NO I WOULD NOT WATCH THIS AGAIN!!!!

For those looking for a light drama

If you’re looking for something not overly dramatic and full of conflicts, this is for you. In fact, it’s full of fluff you might get sick of it. It’s not the cheesy kind of fluff, don’t worry, but it’s nothing extraordinary either. Yes there is the usual disapproving boyfriend’s mom but it’s not overly annoying, It’s weird even because it’s the second lead that has an obnoxious nemesis. I just wish Yi Wan and Zhao Quan had more scenes together. They’re an eye candy, far more good looking than the main leads. They’re love story could have been explored more. I like Viola Mi, I think she’s a very good actress, I hope she gets a big break soon and gets the recognition she deserves. In some dramas, you wish there were less side stories and more main leads’ story, but this is the opposite for me. Even the love story of Michael and Xiao Jing was cute.

One question that keeps popping though, why wasn’t the female lead not able to see her son sooner? I dunno if I just missed it, but I found that weird. The son topic just got lost in all the fluff. I mean, it has been said too many times that the female lead was doing all these for her son but wouldn’t even the occasional phone calls to her son suffice? She wasn’t even that hostile to her ex-husband, plus, it was the ex-husband who cheated on her, so the least he could do is let their son see her mother more. I don’t know about China’s justice system, but where I come from, it’s usually the mother who gets custody. Much more if the cause of divorce was due to the father’s fault. But given that the mom here was jobless and the father is rich, I get that the father got custody of the kid, but still, the mother should have been given visitation rights at the very least.

But anyways, so that’s that. If you want a light drama, here it is.

A drama that won't give an anxiety attack

Story
It's an old story of a CEO and his PA. The twist is she's divorced and has child. The CEO himself is also very young. The female lead isn't overly clumsy to churn out some cringe worthy scenes. She puts efforts into learning her job she begged for and doing it to the best of her ability. Just because someone has not worked before, it doesn't mean that they are a total idiot, they just need a lot of catch up. This is nice fluffy drama without stupid/wasted characters. People are there for a reason and not to help push things along. They get a story line but not so much that you'd get impatient. Her son not being featured much doesn't bother me as it's about her journey after her divorce. The second leads are also very good in helping the leads get together. Some of the plot could have been stretched a little and some seemed unnecessary.

Acting/Cast
The actors did very well playing their characters. You can feel that they connected instead of just playing a part. It's very pleasant to watch them and smile with them.

Music
The english song was refreshing

Rewatch Value
I'd totally rewatch this for the fluff, no stress, no crazy mother in law, no crazy ex.

Overall
It's a solid fluff drama. Not too dramatic, not too stressful, lots of cute and kisses.

The male lead is so cute..lol

Surprisingly this drama wasn't as annoying as i thought it was going to be given the plot of age gap, divorce and other interesting elements the show had to offer.
It was actually really fun to watch and the main couple were really comfortable with each other and they were really cute and the other couples also got their own time to shine so that was nice.
I liked the fact that the female lead wanted to have a sense of responsibility and safety and not just depend on another man again. As for the male lead he was really supportive of her and her child although he was a brat at first he was also really cute and lovable.
To wrap it all up i recommend this drama because the plot wasn't too overbearing and the parents weren't too controlling, so just give it a try.

It is "okay". There are shortcomings

My Rating -
1. Story: 3/10 - Although the Divorced Mom Plot contain the career progress and finding new love, It has so many shortcomings and illogical scenes make you feel bored. Second Couple is too boring to watch. FL's Kid plot is too thin. I hoped Kid can have more screen time.
2. Acting: 8/10

Negatives -
1. Second Couple's On and Off Plot looked boring, I had to skip the most of the part.
2. The Plot with the Child is completely missing. If you're using the "Divorced Mom" plot then the writers must focus more on Child part. The Show began with a goal of a mother to get custody but later child goal got drifted.
3. Drama is too Draggy! Almost 85% of the scenes look like copied from other bossy dramas. Also, there are unnecessary scenes which make us feel bored.
4. Though FL looks good but her character is boring to watch. There's a growth in her character but there are more shortcomings.

Positives -
1. ML is good and handsome. I watched so many dramas of Liu Te.
2. ML interaction with FL's kid looks good but I felt writers should have added more scenes for them. Kid is good.
3. Sweet Kisses and Romances.

For those, who look for this drama in the future - It is happy ending with out Marriage Scene, Story can be improved and seemed off with the plot, Good Chemistry and there are Kissing Scenes.

Cute one to watch!

Should you? Would you? Could you?

You should watch this one (YES! )
You would recommend this to others. (Maybe!)
You could watch this again. (Not Really!)
Ending: Happy

There is something so sweet about this lead pair. I won't say they have amazing chemistry or anything but they are CUTE! The drama is a no brainer - a total fluff. No stress, No emotional upheaval. Just an overdose of simple cuteness. The story is nothing great yet I could sit through it and finished it in 2 days with a bit of fast-forwarding, The second lead pair has more chemistry more than the main lead.
It's not the best-made drama but just a sweet one to watch. Watch it if you want to de-stress.

Great Watch

I liked this drama a lot. The story was light and flowed smoothly. What really worked for me was that all the characters were likeable. Misunderstandings weren't dragged on but talked through, they actually communicated and were reasonable.

One of the major points in this story is the age gap between Cheng Li and Ling Xun Xun. Yes, there is that age gap but their relationship has a nice balance to it. Even though Cheng Li is younger, he is more mature than Ling Xun Xun in some ways. I like his character, he is very confident of his love and not afraid to show it. He does play the innocent childish card in a cute way to get what he wants. Ling Xun Xun though divorced and has a child still has that naivte that Cheng Li makes up for, however, also has the maturity that Cheng Li needs. Can't explain it well - I recommend just watch the drama! :-)

Liu Te seems to be a new actor. I liked him in this drama. He is very natural. I look forward to more dramas from him.

Jiang Me Jie's acting was good. Not too over the top clumsy or playing innocent like some female leads that I have watched.

Side characters have their own stories that blended well with the overall drama.

Light and Lovely!

Story:
If you had read some of the reviews here, you probably have read some gripes about the storyline. However I chose and went ahead and binge watch this with a different perspective. Perhaps the writer would like to showcase the FL journey to be independent and discover her strengths and confidence and eventually finding love.

I love that this story does not have an annoying love triangle, does not have villainy parents. But instead highlights relationships, friendships and how we as humans come out from having all of these experiences.

Acting:
I love the chemistry between this two, much more than the team-up he has with his new series. For some reason their chemistry, sweetness and interactions feels very natural. The sweetness is not cringey and not over the top. Its just right and just the way I like it. :) Supporting characters are awesome and how their friendship had bloomed! ( I cannot forget Hiu Yi's reaction of the K**s, fist on his forehead and cringing!)

This is so fun to watch and I have repeatedly watched just for another does of happy eye candy!

Love, Fluff and Stuff.

This story, looking at a single divorced woman who was willing to better herself through her own means, without depending on a man, immediately grabbed my attention. Initially, the main reason behind her bettering herself was for her son, but because the writers chose to not include him throughout most of the drama, for the sake of this review, I’m going to do the same and call it as it is, which, thinking about it now, could have added a juicier take to the newly single divorcee’s life.

The main couple were extremely cute a lot of the time, but there were moments where the age gap didn’t always feel comfortable and made it feel more as if the FL was the ML’s mother, which sounds even more strange considering the relationship the ML had with his own mother. Perhaps it was the director’s intention to remind us of the said age gap, thus using a much younger-looking ML, Terry Liu, who did an exceptional job at playing Cheng Li, I simply wish they would have used a slightly older-looking (not change the age in the script) ML in order to avoid the exact misconception or feeling while watching what should have been heart touching moments.

My favourite character had to be the FL’s best friend, Zhou Quan (Viola Mi), for being bold and continually saying what needed to be said or done. I didn't quite like the dynamic they had chosen for her relationship with Eric (Sky Li), but all in all, she was a rather enjoyable character that added the extra spice and honesty into the drama itself.

Overall, being one of the most unproblematic dramas I’ve seen in a while there was an abundance of fluff and kisses to brighten anyone's mood. Some might find it slow or boring, but that’s exactly what this drama is for, taking a step out of the fast lane and toning it down to the basics.

At first good then disappointing

At the beginning I liked this drama because the chemistry was quite good and relations between friends were real. Suddenly it turned out that male lead and friends of female lead made a fool of female lead and she wasn't even angry at them. She was just so stupid and didn't have her own opinion, useless. But when male lead found out that she lied to him, he treated her like a trash. It was really annoying. He should have begged her for forgiveness or at least said sorry and she should have more pride.
I am really disappointed.

cute, not super serious, and quite a bit of not so on points stuff

alright so this is a not super serious drama its quite simple cute and sweet but i do have to say the acting and cast was more on the average to alright scale and the story is alright doesnt exactly stand out to much the music is pretty good but the ending seemed a lil rushed and there were quite a few random cuts in between the drama, wang dong i believe didnt show up in the last episode which i can see why bc the military thing however i did expect a relationship with him and the girl star, although it was kinda confirmed in between the middle and end it wasnt super 100% and i felt like the shouldve had a scene in the last episode. the ending (again lol) wasnt so complete i felt like a lot more stuff shouldve been added. and this is why this makes me feel like the budget is kinda low .... if u watch u will know what i mean but overall its pretty good i guess. this is like a drama that if u skip it its not like the world is gonna end but u will miss out on a bit but if u watch u may be a lil disappointed...
