W and Nine are written by the same writer, Song Jae-jung, in which she managed to establish unique concepts in creating the world of both dramas. Even though W has only aired two episodes, it delivered a very intriguing and interesting story just like Nine. The two dramas have different plot (Nine is a time travel themed while W revolves in the fictional world of a comic character) but I must say, they actually resembles each other in the way that suspense, humor, and romance has a nice balance on the way the writer tells the story while still focusing on the fantasy element of the drama.
- both shows like to switch between past and present to gradually reveal the events that led to the current situation and to uncover the mysteries related to it (the use of sepia/yellow filter is also similar)
- the past is full of dark events; Nine is a time travel show so it also lets us experience how life of some characters can change if those events play out a little different
King of Pigs is consistently heavy from the start until the end, Nine takes like 1-2 episodes to start showing its true colors and the further it goes, the better it gets.

Jung Yeol and Na Ra fell in love with each other and got married. During their marriage, they have grown to hate each other due to their personality differences. They decide to get a divorce. A month later, their divorce will be finalized. But, on the day that they applied for a divorce, they get into a car accident. When they wake up at the hospital, they have both lost their memories and do not remember each other.
If you are into time travelling plots which makes your mind goggling, this may be the one you are looking for. Although the main who travels into the past is a guy, he tries to change the fate of his family and along the way there is romance blooming as well. For more information, WATCH THE DRAMA ;)
Both have
- time travel !! (though in 365 it's only really once & trying to figure out what happened as they go because they don't know completely since things are changing constantly while in 9 they know everything that happened and they travel and change time numerous times)
- characters fighting against destiny by trying to prevent things that went wrong in the past from happening (specifically deaths)
- mystery/detective work and a whodunnit-esque storyline
- romance though it's only subtle affection in 365 and heavy/plot-driving in 9
- betrayal by a friend/someone close (though in 365 it's someone new they just met, I'd still call it a friend)

Plotline: Has certain plot elements from Kdramas "Nine: Nine Times Time Travel" and "Signal". Reference of "Himalayas" secretly. Definitely adopted a few ideas from Kdrama "All About Eve".
Main Characters: Main ML has the prideful characteristics as the ML in "Nine: Nine Times Time Travel". Main FL has tiny similar characteristics as the FL in "Nine: Nine Times Time Travel". (Please see Warning below)
Warning:
- Stereotyped FL who easily misunderstands or angry with ML, as you see in Chinese, Hong Kong, and Taiwanese dramas. She can be hasty/impetuous in judging a situation, emotional, and prejudice, while being tomboyish and athletic. The dialogues among female characters are central on romance and men.
- Supporting characters have little background story to understand their motivations or intentions.
- Dialogues, story telling, pacing, and character development could have been better. Certain things should be made clear to confuse the audiences.
Why the recommendation?
- The creativeness of "Time Trevel" theme in the plotline
- The acting and chemistry among the actors and actresses are great
- Even if you dislike certain characters, you will like the drama as a whole.
