Enjoyed it way more than I should

So there is nothing new in this drama... same tropes and troubles.
BUT I really liked it!

The ML is really cold to everyone but the FL, which is actually really nice, because he just shutdowns the competition like a pro!

The FL is so good! She has this fussy bossy vibe, but she stands her ground, doesn't let people walk all over, but at the same time she is a really nice person.

The secondary couple was bad, I mean the girl has just so much baggage and inferiority complex that you just end up disliking her. The SLM could do so much better, but its a drama right?!

I absolutely, freaking LOVED the OST!! It was really nice, and the instrumental versions were also good! (The songs she plays on the piano are also nice).

It was a worth watch (but right now the subtitles are machine done, so expect frustration while reading them...)

Best Cutest FL ever!

This is one of those cliches done right for me. Yes you can't avoid the catch and fall, piggy back moments but doesn't mean a standard plot can't be amazing!

What I love:
1. Great dialogue. One of the wittiest dramas ever (and I watched plenty). I hope English translations later on can capture 1/2 of the cleverness of the conversations.
2. FL - She's not a big name yet but she can act. Her cute expressions are not "forced". I love her character so much. She's smart and witty but far from perfect. She's a genius in her designs but can't cook and doesn't know much about Chinese poetry. Love that she's confident and doesn't let her short comings get to her.
3. ML - Visually he's a bit old for her but his character is classic cold on the outside but kind on the inside. This part is pretty standard for most of these dramas however they didn't over do on the standard cold CEO because he actually has a personality! 1. He doesn't have a scar that spark up any illness (just pure hatred and plan to destroy the world but still!) and 2. He doesn't do those over the top male dominating scenes.
He's witty with lots of comebacks, straight forward without cheesy lines. I love the way he turned down the other girl. Maybe some people will see him as cold and mean but way to nip that in the butt.
4. It's not a cheesy love at first sight but through time working together and understanding each other that they fell for each other.
5. Divorced parents - no overbearing mom here but she adopted 2 more children. Heartwarming family dynamic.
6. Very few disgusting characters - they limited them here and w/ minimal lines. Well done! lets not waste drama time on this
7. 2ML Lu Yi Ming - The adopted brother who's perfect! I loved his character in Mr. Fighting as Zhao Xiao Bei and his character here is completely different and yet still perfect.

Downfall
1. Ke Ke character - self pity to the fullest peaked at disgusting level at ep 29.

Hope more people will discover this drama.

This drama was a totally unexpected find

Even though the cast are not as mainstream and super famous; i would really applaud for their acting! I like how the story and the character settings are drafted. The ML/FL definitely looks super cute together and like like how the FL is not those typical weak and cinderella type but more of a FL with her own opinions on top of her sassy character. Her straightforward-ness really appealed to me and the fact that when times are hard, she pushes through it albeit tough!

The ML has a ditzy side to him, a little clingy but cute! The initial part really got me sad because of his motive but all is good! You know that he really loves the FL with all that he has done and will do.

In this drama, the other part that is the most important and the issue that caused problems was definitely family ties. I loved how each and every point is being emphasised, how forgiving is important.

All in all, do give this drama a chance i don't think it'll fail! Theres enough romance and comedy in this!

PS. Do keep a box of tissues beside you!

Rather disappointed ... by the 2nd half.

Professional and emotional life of a duo of architects.

The FL (intern) is strong, smart, hardworking. She has the self-confidence that comes from a wealthy family and attentive parents.
The ML (the actor is just the right age to play an experienced architect) is adorable. Smart, demanding, but caring and knowing what he wants. They will set up their own studio, fight for a project and uncover the errors / traumas of the past.

PROS:
+ I really like the ML in the 1st part. He is frank, honest and determined. He rejects FL2 in a masterful way (Ep 15).
+ The OSTs are well suited and enjoyable.
+ The cast includes many talented actors.

CONS:### The story is not credible, it is poorly constructed. There are unnecessary arcs and characters.
### In the 2nd part, the evolution of the characters is not psychologically coherent:
The FL is immature, including in her business management or in her relationships with her ex lover!! Her character (darker hair and thick make-up to look more "mature", but it just makes her look agressive) is annoying in the 2nd part.
The FL2 stuck in her grudges, resentments, is detestable!
The ML becomes servile, submissive. He wants to be forgiven, but because of the excesses of the FL, he loses his temper.
### The tempo is slow in the 2nd part (seen in 1.5 x Speed).

=> The rather good impression at the beginning is erased by a poorly managed 2nd part. ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥` )
*********************************************************************

A beautiful love between 2 souls in all aspects of life. A beautiful portrait of a family too.

First, I want to say that I do not speak Chinese so it was hard for me this drama. It seemed that the dialogues must be amazing and the story richer than what I read. However, I watched this on Youtube and I really had the impression that the translation is not good nor accurate, maybe because of the A.I.

STORY – interesting story, but too much of the revenge part. A beautiful love story, filled with understanding, empathy of 2 persons that share the passion about architecture and design. Nevertheless, revenge kept them apart for too long, because of a event that killed Mang Yan’s father.
Meng Yan is a genius architect that fell in love for Li Tian Zhen, an idealist designer that has a strong personality and is very competent. Both share the same philosophy about interior design and the fact that who is going to live and use the buildings and spaces are people and not prizes or beauty. They connect and love covers all spaces between them, until his past and revenge gets between them.
Since she has nothing to do with it, but being the daughter of his target (the father), Meng Yan does something stupid and they break up.
Tian Zhen’s brother, Lu Yi Ming loves Qiao Ke who was also adopt by Cao Yu (Tian Zhen’s mother). He takes care of her in the most sweet and unselfish way. He also roots for the main couple and helps everyone.
Qiao Ke has some scars and lacks confidence so she is afraid of been left alone by her adopted family. Everybody seems to know that he loves her except Qiao Ke.
Then, there is the father story, her family members and the struggle between love, past, forgiveness…
Being a part of the plot, most of the business companies was lost in translation.
Tian Zhen’s family dynamic is wonderful, even the divorced parents, the adopted brothers, the wonderful and mature mother, etc.
Do not understand the role and behaviour of Ding Yan Ming (rival Architect), and why the writer forget Guo Yuan Yuan (former Tian Zhen’s and Meng Yan’s boss) in some point.
ACTING – I think the acting was very good.

MUSIC – I like it, even if most of the show I watched in silent mode.

REWATCH – maybe one day, at least some of the first episodes if there will be a good translation.

OVERALL – I liked! A bit too long for me, a bit hard to follow because of the translation algorithm. However, the couple is wonderful, especially their connection in all aspects. You can feel the love when they are working together, talking about building design or just about themselves. The characters are mature (even Qiao…) and it is nice to see how they give space to grow, to heal and to support each other. One of the best C Dramas I have seen, I think my lack of Chinese culture can make me feel strange with some parts of these dramas, but I like it anyway.

One time watch

Story starts with office view ,FL struggle to get permanent job and had cold relationship with boss but suddenly boss wants her only to assist the work which made viewer to think that the boss know her already or loves her secretly ,such questions pop up from mind that why his focus is she ? Gradually his cuteness and silly activities made her had fallen in love ,After some romantic scenes tragedy enter and they break up . Breakup to patch up story little bit stretched which made it little boring.
Actors were good .
The most I liked in the drama waa the starting song and background music.

A great drama

I found this cdrama by accident, but ended up liking it a lot.

Despite the subtitles being pretty regular, and the fact that I had to fit the words together like jigsaw puzzles to be able to translate them, I managed to understand most of it, or at least, I would say, about 80%.

The drama is good, quite different for a office romance. Indeed, it has the office cliché with the boss and the secretary trope, but it is much more than just that.

There are no SL or SF complications, in fact, the real complications are the two characters' complexities and insecurities, that's why I enjoyed following the couple so much.

It was really interesting to see the layers of ML develop and be able to get to know the true side of his character, as well as knowing his motivations and the anger he has built up in his heart.

FL is an incredible character. She is mature, professional, talented and there is no infantilization of her in the series. While she is very young and has her privileged side, she is also a very simple person.

Overall, even though the drama is excessively long - could at least be 5 episodes less - I still enjoyed it. But, yeah...It got a little tiring, I have to admit.

What really pissed me off about all this - except, obviously, the fuckedu up situation of the FL's family - was the best friend character. She is a terrible person and extremely selfish. The entire time, throughout the drama, I wanted her to suffer the consequences for the manipulations and scheming she did with her own friend. She got her best friend fired just because of a man, that's shameful as a friend and also as a woman. I really don't understand cuz I would never do that.

Obviously, I can't NEVER compare her with FL's uncle and father, they are both murderers, that's why I would never put her on the same level, cuz, to me, she is just a horrible person, not a murderer. She was also a victim, for sure.

But then, she went running after her best friend's ex-fiance to hit on him after they broke up... man, that was so bizarre and fucked up, I don't have the words to describe how much I wanted the writers to make her suffer some consequences for being such a motherfucker.

Finally, I wanted to say that the FL's brother is SO beautiful. I met him in "Healer Of Children" and I already thought he was cute, but in this cdrama he's even cuter!

PS: ML was a big asshole at certain times and he deserved to spend 10 episodes chasing FL, even though I understood his motives, it will never justify what he did and how he acted.

Loved it form start till the end.

This is a mature drama with different type of feelings, and what i loved the most that i could place myself in all characters shoes and think from their point of view what can be done in such a situation. Also i quite like that this it seems as a real life, not with crazy people around and doing stuff which mostly of us will not do it - this is happening in a lot of series, just not real. The story is not new, but the dialogues are very interesting and smart. The acting is also beautiful and you go along with all of their emotions. Wei Qian Xiang (English name: Shawn) is a discovery for me from Nice To Meet You and don't know why he doesn't have more main roles, as he has a beautiful charisma and plays very well. There is romance, hate, revenge, no big misunderstanding and loved how the main hero explains why he is done that and how he regrets it for a long time, and the FL also loved as she didn't give in after a episode or two, but at the right time when my frustration was gone, perfect.
Overall i really enjoyed watching it.
