Rollercoaster emotion
One of my favourites. Watched this four times. I haven't watch the prequel. Did not know what I was getting in to.The director didn't hold back on the love between the main characters in this one. However, from then on it's a rollercoaster ride of emotions, family feuds. You'll never know what happens next.
Typical mega rich Asian family sibling rivalry.
Overall if you're into family feud, mother in law hatred this one's for you.

Beautiful drama - Love Triumphs- Worth the Watch
I have not watched the prequel of this drama, so had no idea of the back story - OMG I absolutely loved this drama- story, acting etc. Prof. Zhou Sheng Chen (Allen Ren) absolutely nailed the character - let me gush about him for a sec.... he needs to be given an award for this role...super intelligent, brilliant, sweet, nerdy and clueless about romance character he played to the Tee. Its not only Shi Yi who will fall in love with him/character, I think most girls would.Towards the end, he turned out to be really romantic, as Shi Yi said in the last episode "you are quite romantic", & you are one who "acts & doesn't talk" unlike most people who talks too much without the act. Bai Lu as Shi Yi did a fabulous job too. I loved the fact that she was established in her own career, who is not afraid to take leave, have babies - I think subtly they are trying to show taking maternity leave/getting married is all part of life's journey - it should NOT be negatively inferred in any job sector. I liked Shi Yi's best friend/house mate, every girl should have a bestie like that (reference here the first couple of episodes, where she takes every opportunity to find a way for Shen Yi to meet the Prof. hehe).
The drama references to the back story (S1), in the right amount so that one who hasn't seen S1 will not be lost...the ending is happy & sweet, but I would have loved to see the last couple of minutes of the episodes with their kids -then it will be like a full circle, they loved each other for centuries, so such an ending would have been epic.
There some emotional scenes towards the end when Shi Yi falls in a coma, how her parents doesn't let Sheng Chen see her - he doesn't give up , stays outside the hospital room for days & finally the parents too acknowledge his genuine love for Shi Yi... The first words she spoke after she woke up from the coma was "Zhou Sheng Chen" for her in all her lifetimes there is just no other - only him... so so cute. During this time (whilst she was in the coma), apart from reading her diary & understanding the love she has for him, the sweet romantic things our Professor did ( to show her when she wakes up from Coma) was just fabulously sweet.
Would recommend it to anyone who loves and believes in 'forever and ever' kind of love.

Romantic Love Story that spand through two life times
I don't know how to express it, but after watched it, every single scene about Zhoucheng Chen & Shi Yi was across my mind, and make me want to watch again.Indeed the story and/or the plot is not too strong especially when it comes the conflict between Zhoucheng Chen & Wenchuan.
Infact it were more portrayed in One & Only between the Xiau Nancheng Wang & the Crown Prince.
But again the story is not about the strife for power, it were more about the love strory of Zhoucheng Chen & Shi Yi, and I love about it.
I love the initiative Shi Yi towards Zhoucheng Chen, I love how Zhoucheng Chen bit by bit fall in love with Shi Yi, I love how protected, caring Zhoucheng Chen to Shi Yi. I just love everything about it when it comes the story between these two main lead.
Since I watched the Legends of Bai Lu, I love her acting. I also love the chemistry between her & every single actors in all of her drama.
Same like here in this drama. As for the other cast, I must say that their acting also superb.
As for the music & the ost, I also love about it
Overall, i love everything about it, and love the outfit wear by Shi Yi.

BEAUTY AND THE TURTLE ?
that's my title for this drama, I haven't seen One and Only and might watch it later in future....I watch this has a stand-alone drama
Which tell the story of a beautiful girl who is Likely slightly delusional voice dubber falls head over heels in love with a fictional ancient drama character Prince Nanchen. She throws herself at a complete stranger; a nutty, loner of a professor(Trutle) with the same name who is a bit slow on the uptake but eventually realises he just got very, very lucky and thus the story unfolds.
The Fact that she noticed him just because of similer name and not because she felt a connection to him by looking into his eyes or some deja Vu past life flashback
But just his same name to the character and she gladly tell him why she even considered exchange number with a turtle looking guy,that because your parents give you that name,
Girl told him ,I am interested in your name not you so go home and thanks your dead parents for giving you that name,
If this man ever thought of changing his name then his marrital status would also change to single again.
Although i feel FL had some genuine feeling created from her delusion of past lives.
But they connect thorough just similer name look really shallow.
It was a morden drama but comparison to One and only but passion was missing and skinship was missing since they were married couple and young, it almost look like ML was Asexual.. that fl as to beg him for those things.
I just don't like that ML had no devlopment and i only get that he got very very lucky to find a delusional hot chick on airport
But never able to believe that he had any genuine feelings towards that woman, he just accepted her delusional feelings , i don't see him reciprocate anything.
There love was hollow, Grl did not love this Turtle professor but a fictional character from a film.
I still give it a 9/10 because this look like a dream come true for an introvert loner kind of story
Once in a billion that a hot chick at airport will run towards a Average looking nerd with an boring personality and then she herself ask his contect number to become his Friend and then over six month of boring email exchanges, devloped a crush on him, and start pursing him...
I can understand her being delusional in love and falling for him, what i am afraid of is when her delusional bobble blast, and she start noticing all other hot guys smitten over her while her boring husband is too lazy to even took advantage of god given gift,
Only thing i like about ML is admitting to have some feelings towards fl earlier in drama and suggest to be engaged for real, not that contract marriage shit.

Supresas, alegrias e tristezas
Em muitos momentos pensei: esse drama é lento, a construção dos personagens é lenta, não sei se vou gostar disso.Mas, pouco a pouco comecei a me questionar porquê essa preciosidade não é divulgada.
Ótimo encontrar um drama que obriga a gente a pensar para chegar a conclusões e não entrega de bandeja.
Passei parte do tempo não entendendo o porquê de muitas coisas, mas aos poucos as teorias vão se clarificando até chegar ao auge com a cena da confirmação. E isso acontece em vários momentos, E faz tudo ser ainda mais lindo.
Fiquei com medo das perdas, chorei as perdas, chorei com os personagens, amei cada detalhe e a conclusão ao final foi: existe amor de mais! Mas, mesmo assim, é preciso colocar limites e não fechar os olhos para os erros dos outros. Exemplo de drama onde os erros geram reais consequências.
Enfim, não desistam por achar lento. Nesse drama, tudo tem o seu tempo.

Majestic Masterpiece!!!
Got fall in love with this drama and the latter one "One And Only". The "One And Only" which is the historical drama of this sequel quite amazed me also due to their ethereal love to each other though, they didn't end up together and much worse they died after😭. Good thing, this sequel make up for the hearbreaking ending of "One And Only" as they reincarnated in the modern world and become husband and wife at the early episode. The ML is a very reserved man and not a proactive, maybe because he's too serious with his career as being a well-known scientist and at the same time professor. How cute he is everytime he become dull-headed when it comes to romance and sweet gestures😂, too shy to initiate the moves👀. Well, the FL will have to take the lead🤣. I admire her for being unwavering woman and kinda cool of how she gets her way into his heart (girl power💪). This drama speaks loudly their admiration intent gaze and smooth action yet, for me it appeared too sweet than skinship. The only hindrance here is the diverse family rules and manners of the ML's clan, I hate the guts of his mother but, eventually I got her point after. I was very satisfied with Ren Jialun and Bai Lu's portrayal of their characters and how they naturally articulate it. Just recently, they both received an awards which convince me more to pursue untill the sequel. Therefore, I conclude it is beyond three dimensional👏👏👏. I was filled with good vibes with all of their OST (walang tapon✔). In the poem "Fu In The Imperial Park" which Shi Yi wrote, there's a line there that retain on my mind 'Beauty and the soul are given, the heart is overturned'😍. Hmm, where should I begin? I can say that this drama is what I imagined and wanted. It's like a comfort drama that I'd watch over and over again if I want to, i even memorize some of their lines now.Their pure feelings, sincere intentions, and serious commitment are captivating, and their awkward and clumsy ways make me feel a sense of love and sweetness. I love their healthy and mature relationship, full of care and trust for one another. Their chemistry is also perfect.
The pace is slow yet comfortable, so I never felt bored. I love their poetic lines.

Review of rewatch after watching one and only
I have just now finished watching it for the 2nd time.1st time I watched it without watching "one and only" but now when I rewatched this I am amazed by how Shi Yi loved him across lifetimes and how Zhousheng Chen embraced his feelings of past life in this lifetime without any reservations. This has now become one of my best watch coz during my first watch I just thought that since Shi Yi is the dubbing artist for that drama she might have imagined herself as the female protagonist of the dubbed drama but now when I rewatched it I could tell that she constantly was reminiscing her past life. Zhousheng Chen who couldn't embrace his own feelings towards Shi Yi in the past life was attracted to her in this lifetime without him realizing. Such a beautiful connection of reincarnation with an ambiguity of them remembering their past life was truly heart whelming.Was this review helpful to you?

ZSC and SY has gone a long way to be finally together
As everyone knows, Forever and Ever is the sequel for One and Only.I personally watched OAO then only FAE (though I understand some watched either one only, or the other way round).
Extreme brief summary:
Shi Yi (FL), a voice actor, dubbing for a movie which the character is named Zhou Sheng Cheng (ML). Because of this, when she heard ML's name to be ZSC (same as the character for the movie she is dubbing for), she got intrigue and went after him, and there goes the love story of theirs.
Story:
If you're looking for an exciting drama full of sweetness, laughter, or every episodes of honey splash to you, it might not be what you think so. Even though the OAO and FAE are not linked, its more of their past life and present time, 2 separate stories. The drama plot might be boring for viewers just watching FAE. Nevertheless , yes the drama is still filled with cute and happy scenes. I would still think FAE lacking in story. Family feud is not significantly bad (that's because they view the family's money to be shared and supported by the whole family, and not for individual's benefit - but of course there will be that ONE person who thinks the other way round).
SY is more dominant in this. ZSC is like a rookie in love but you can see his character develop and he is more into showing his love behind without expressing.
Either way, all because I've watched OAO beforehand, the links of what happened in OAO comes into mind whenever i watched FAE. An example would be, in OAO - ZSC had to go fight into war without knowing when to be back, whereas in FAE - you will see ZSC being a character that's very particular on his schedule. You can see how much the writer put the effort for the story.
Acting:
No bias here but both Bai Lu and Allen Ren acting is top notch. Every small detail have made them into the character. Just FYI, both of them have totally different personalities from the characters (you can see it in the BTS). All the second and sub-characters acting were so good as well. Definitely enjoyed the drama.
OST:
THEM FEELS!!! I've been replaying it non-stop ever since!
Thoughts:
I'd actually rewatch the whole OAO and FAE together again after a few months. It just felt the drama from lovely and sad (OAO) up to sweet and healing (FAE). The drama is interesting and i enjoyed it. Next round will be reading through the book it was adapted into hehe

Picked up treasure from dramaland
Initial Considerations: How do I put it in words, the story is just amazing. At first, I had my doubts to the show, because I watched One and Only, so now that they were shifting to the modern setting, I had my qualms that firstly, they were going to restart the whole relationship since only 1 person has the past memories, which means starting on a new slate, hence meaning that I would have had wasted my investment in their past relationship. Secondly, due to the restart, it'll be slow paced romance all over again.Storyline: However, it surpassed my expectations, and the trailer really hyped me up a lot. After watching the first 2 episodes, I was fired up. Now in the contemporary era, Shiyi finally makes the first move, then so does ZhouShengChen. To skip all the modern standards of getting together, they just skipped all that parts, which was also done really naturally. On the plus side, the scenes were never cringey, but cute funny and realistic. I'm quite sensitive to over the top characters either ML or FL trying to get the attention of their counterparts, but this was done extremely well by the director and writer, such that both progressed together very naturally.
Chemistry: Consequently, I had started this drama mainly cause of Bailu (I extremely enjoy her acting its superb) and RenJiaLun (recently watched under the power and realised his good acting too). Heads up, when you watch forever and ever, you will realise how good their chemistry is, like not just good, its off the charts. Just a few glances, you understand what emotions they are trying to portray, just a few actions, and it speaks a thousand words. The endearing, conservative and sheepish looks from both ML and FL were true to their character and uniquely themselves even though their characters might come off to be rather similar.
Prequel: Lastly, if you watched One and Only, this really takes the cake to build on the vestige of emotions from the previous drama, due to the reuse of OSTs (love them), and some remnants of similar actions from their previous reincarnation. It soothes pent up frustration from One and Only's slow burn romance and circumstances that prevented the two leads from becoming together, as well as the tragic end to both of them. Also, you can pick up on some quick witted Easter eggs in the story like Shiyi's phone number (credit to the commenters under the drama post) and calligraphy, lotus flower references to parallel to previous drama etc.
Additional details: It'll definitely make you squeal with excitement over the 辰时cp (couple) and laugh at the awkwardness of some interactions that are also cute at the same time. It'll make you irritated with the antagonist's attempts to keep them asunder. Definitely, its a great catch from 2021 dramas and also my last drama before I have to start cramming for my exams :")
Ratings: ratings wise, you can look at other dramas I reviewed, I usually only review on those I approve on and ratings wise I'm rather stringent on, gave a lot go plus point for the chemistry. Good ones are usually 7.5 and up (highest I've rated is 9.5 for one drama) in my own opinion* and 7 is ok like it but the put together of the story could be better or a specific area that I minused from, and etc etc. So this rating of 8.5 should say quite a bit about how good this drama is. Okay that's it for my rant ill go back to fangurling about this for the subsequent episodes.
P.S. if you have the time, go watch the bts for one and only & forever and ever, its hilarious. best bts I've ever watched, couldn't stop laughing
