If, however, like me, you are Takeru Satoh trash, and have an appreciation for films with a deeper meaning, enjoying unexpected (and extremely sudden) plot twists and a dark and slightly creepy psychological theme... then I suggest you give this movie a shot. ^v^)/
One of REAL's biggest highlights for me was that you really didn't know what to expect next. You just have no idea. One minute, I was focused in the neurological world, and the next I was hiding behind my pillow. And that is how you go through the film - not knowing what to expect next, yet anticipating the conclusion. I give the rewatch value a strong 9*, as it all makes so much more sense if you were to rewatch it, and you can appreciate the thought put into its creation, the jumpy camera angles and script.
The cast and acting were great, although again, initially you might find it a little strange in the beginning. It all makes sense nearer the end. ^^
One thing that did confuse me was the strange blend of both decent CGI, and college-green-screen-quality CGI. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not because of the story line...
Also, plesiosaurs. I love them.

A waste of a nice cast. Also, I wish they had done much better job on the driving scenes (hehe).
Not for viewers who look for romance. A good mystery movie for starters.

The main plot twist was unexpected, but I didn't find it particularly interesting or meaningful, and it had little to no bearing on the story in all honesty, I feel like it was only there to shock the audience, but I found it to be anti-climatic.
The CGI was pretty much perfect for this. It's obviously computer generated, but as most of the film takes place in a computer generated environment within the story, it's used to help define what's real and what isn't.
I think for me personally this film lacked vitality - it tries to keep you hooked on every unanswered question and plot hole, but I can only say I was curious. Even so, although I think this film could have been better, I did enjoy it, and I thought the acting was alright too.

its ok...
I thought it would be good because Ayase Haruka (綾瀬はるか). I personally don't watch scary movies. I can't even finish watching the Disney movie "Tangled". That my just be me tho... So that fact that is was scary might just be just me.Ok, so the ending wasn't what at all what I wanted to happen. It was interesting… not that good... in my very humble opinion.
Hmmm, yeah, I think that is all I want to say.. I don't want you to expect too much or too little before watching this movie. If you like scary movies, fantasy, or don't care and need a movie to watch, I recommend it. If you are like me and can't handle a scary movie, this might not be the movie to watch, instead try a movie like "Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou: The Movie" (around the same time, but first watch the drama so you know what is happening "Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou" or a drama like "Minami-kun no Koibito - My Little Lover" (also around the same time).
I hope this helps, have fun!

Hmm ... at first, I was scared watch this movie because the corpse suddenly appear just like horror movie and I hate horror (>.<) But then I forced myself to keep watching and found that this movie has a twisted story in the middle. Happy with that, I keep watching ... but, I'm a little bit disappointed in the end because it turns out like Jurassic Park for the end (^o^;) Well, it isn't bad, but still feels like anti-climax (^_^;)
