One is fantasy and the other not, but both have similar elements. The FL begins the dramas having lost a portion of her memory, and the plot alternates between the past in flashbacks and present to explain the events of what happened when she and a group of people were stranded on an island. In both dramas there is a killer amongst the group and she must figure out who it is in present day. Both dramas also involve the FL meeting the ML shortly before the events on the island and the two forming a strong bond there.
While one is historical and the other modern day, both have the common theme of time travel within a loop in which the main couple are trying to change past events to prevent tragedy in the present/future. In the second loop both MLs die, but are alive again when the time changes. Both couples are very devoted to each other. Both dramas have the same actor as the ML.

In both dramas, one or both of the leads time travel within a limited period of time, trying to change events in the present/near future that they don't have the full picture of. The ML's personality changes from what it is initially (from cheerful to withdrawn/somber in MDD and from selfish to self-sacrificing in TWY), and both FLs are sunshine personalities who bring light to the ML's life. Both couples have very good chemistry.
Both dramas are a combination of the mystery, fantasy, and romance genres and involve a serial killer/kidnapper and the leads having a shared past experience together. Both couples end up living together when the FL is targeted so the ML can protect her and both MLs have a special ability relating to their senses (enhanced vision vs. hearing thoughts).
