First Impressions: BOF Pt 2

I'm sorry, but I am failing to see how this is different from Boys Over Flowers... Well, at least its better. Min Ho is actually nice, which I appreciate. Woo Bin is such an asshole and I hate it. i actually really like the female lead, and Krystal's character is a lot of fun. I hate the fiance though. That trope is no good to me. I really have not been enjoying the cheap foreign setting, and I cannot wait until its over and they are back in Korea. I'm also excited for Min Ho's rekationship wiht his brother. It is already surprisingly compelling. I also want to know what the love triangle will be. I hope her and that guy really are just friends, but it would be kdrama style for him to like her. My guess definitely goes with Woo Bin though.

Drama is good, but confess is to early :D

Ep 2 is good, actors are great, plot is interasting about rich people and their lives, but confess is too early.I mean he already said that he is falling in love with her,she just looked at him,but I think that this will be like in next episode: "Maybe I like you? As If?" and then he's goona toss her you know. That is my opinion. :D

Kim Tan(Lee Min Ho) fallen in love XD

Kim Tan confess that he like her. It's was too early to know he had fallen for her. But I know why, because he is engage to Recheal Yoo the early he find out he love Eun Sung, the early he can cancel the engage. I am not sure what Kim Tan going to do with Recheal Yoo and their engagement.. XD Intersting

No plot development at all!

This episode is a huge let down compared to the first one. Sure, the first episode had its boring moments but the rest of the stuff was interesting. This episode felt like it was the same stuff all over again and there was nothing interesting.

The only thing I liked was probably that the decent amount of screen time the leads had together. Their moments are sweet but so far their acting hasn't pulled me in. I won't say the romance seems forced but it doesn't flow as freely as in the other Korean dramas. I am kind of feeling meh on the romantic front.

The secondary characters seem really poorly written so far. There are too many tangled plotlines and characters going back and forth and so far I have not really liked any of them yet except for Minhyuk's charater.

Of course, I'll keep watching till the end simply because I hope that it'll get better since it's too early on to say much. :)

Huge potential

Whilst I was watching this episode, there were glimmers of brilliance. Like Rachel Yoo shoving the suitcase down the stairs, then asking Eun Chang to open it, before maliciously tipping it's contents all over the floor.

Bravo! That's what I want to see more off! Korean-on-Korean interaction, rather than Korean-on-American, although I laughed my tizzies off when "Chris's" BFF's started chasing our two leads, and Lee Min Ho actually stopped with Park Shin Hye and they had a proper conversation just standing still, whilst their chasers were still "sprinting" lol. Pure comedy gold!

I also enjoyed the relative frivillous act of Kim Tan going through Eun Chang's facebook updates, and just at the very end, he comes across "My mom works really hard. I hope the Empire Group crashes and burns" or something like that and the mood changed. It became more personal. Sinister.

I wish they had continued that little arc, but again, it got interruped by an american cop! Grrrr. Genuinely can't wait for them to go back to Korea. Now the American landscape is a hinderance to the "TRUE" story (being constantly chased, hiding behind trash cans, which isn't what I really want to see) than actually aiding it.

So as I said. Glimmers of brilliance that could expand, or if they don't return to Korea, wilt. I will urge everyone to keep watching. It's too early to make any type of decision yet.

In Gatsby's eyes

After watching two episodes I find it slightly difficult to like any of the characters aside from Chan Young - Secretary's son (Min Hyuk). I feel as though I'm watching the Great Gatsby where practically everyone was unlikeable aside from Nick.

Hopefully everyone turns out for the best and resolves their family issues... everyone seems to feel unloved. What the heck, I guess the misery from everyone is a good start - so we can start seeing happy faces later on :)

So far so good!

People keep saying this drama is similar to Gossip Girl and BoF. So far, I don't find it too similar. Instead, I find myself kept reminded of Secret Garden, in some scenes. No wonder it is by the same writer. I am liking it so far that Kim Tan is not a jerk like Gu Jun Pyo in BoF, one of the supporting facts that this drama is gonna be different from BoF, regardless of the speculations.

I think I expected way too much

There is a lot of staring and running in this episode. After IHYV and MS I'm a little disappointed :(
