It was kind of nice to meet you?
I placed spoilers at the end of this review. This has a cute storyline, but there are elements of the script that are weak. See the spoiler alert at the bottom if you want more info. I will say they introduced way too many side stories for a 10-episode series. It also had some weird scene elements that seem out of place. However, the ending was charming. The acting was good, but it was not outstanding. It was cute that they had a scene in the café from Baker Boys involving two of the characters from the same series (Punn and Krating).
This is just a random observation, but I notice that Theo’s house was used in the Baker Boys Series and Akk’s house was used in the Something in My Room Series. I don’t know why but I get a kick when I see a familiar location used in different series.
********Spoiler Alert********
The weak elements of the script: There really is no explanation as to why Theo had to move to France in the first place. Theo’s justification for initiating the mysteries enchanté persona is very weak. This is one of the reasons that decreased the likability of Theo for me. Akk forgives Theo for the enchanté situation, way to quickly in my opinion, but then Theo gets upset with Akk for knowing about his parents. Theo then holds a grudge and takes a long time to forgive Akk. This is another reason that decreased the likability of Theo. What happen to the literature major that Theo was trying to save? What was the point of introducing this storyline if Theo was not going to stay at the university?

Solid idea but lackluster execution
*I don't spoil the identity of Enchante in this review*While Enchante isn't the BL harem that it presented itself as, it's still an enjoyable romcom with electrifying chemistry from the main pairing. Personally, it took me a while to get over the disappointment of this BL not being a harem. But once I did, I was able to enjoy it for the mystery/romance that it really was, despite the occasional flaw.
For one, I just couldn't wrap my head around the Enchante "character" and how they didn't easily sniff out the liars. I do understand that the actual mystery wasn't about "who is Enchante?" but more like "why are at least three guys lying about being Enchante?" But the tactics used by Akk and Theo to identify Enchante were a bit cartoony. To be honest, the entire aspect and execution of the Enchante "mystery" (right down to the reveal) requires the viewers to suspend all disbelief.
Screentime among the supporting cast could have been utilized a lot better. Even with only 10 episodes, there's a decent amount of filler and not enough character or relationship development apart from Akk/Theo. And even though the show isn't exactly a harem, the concept still calls for a certain amount of development between Theo and the ambassadors. However, the Akk/Theo relationship was prioritized above all else, which made for the Enchante mystery to be even less engaging. Tbh, they should have revealed Enchante halfway through the 10-episode run and then went in a different direction for the 2nd half of the show. I would have liked to see more from all of the ambassadors. The subplots involving them were bare minimum screentime, if that.
Theo was one of the flattest protagonists that I've seen in a while. The series starts with him losing his grandma, who took care of him for his entire pubescent existence, and then he moves from an entirely different country before settling in right away. We, as the viewers, never really get the sense that Theo has suffered a great loss and is going through a reverse culture shock all at the same time. These conflicts could have provided great obstacles for Theo to overcome as an individual character, or even be used as talking points for Theo to bond with the other ambassadors. But they never really do anything with Theo's tragic predicament, which makes Theo's hasty decision to move back to France in the last episode all the more bewildering. The opportunity to properly set up Theo's homesickness and departure was there but it was completely untouched until the very last minute, which inadvertently made Theo look selfish and unlikable.
But in all the ways that the show came up short, the chemistry and romance between the two leads didn't. Though, with Enchante coming fresh off the heels of Bad Buddy and mostly airing simultaneously with Not Me, the intimacy between Akk/Theo can sometimes feel a little tame in comparison. In a lot of ways, Enchante may feel slightly outdated in the ever-evolving BL subgenre. Enchante follows every beat of a typical romcom BL: lack of communication, misunderstandings, jealousy, nonexistent peripheral vision, forced last minute side couples, etc. But the cinematography, locations, and music are amazing and really leans into the French-inspired theme of the show.
Overall, the short 10 episode run makes this easy to recommend to anyone who just wants to enjoy a generic BL with a cute main couple.

Not the BL harem drama I had hoped for. Classic vanilla, PG, Thai BL- A simple easy but boring watch
Story: The 2021 trailer promised a lot more mystery, intrigue and angst than what was delivered. I find Theo immature, selfish and sheltered (which is fine), but he never develops past that or barely learns anything from his actions. Akk is sweet and delightful, but that wasn’t enough for me to stay invested in the story. I feel like if I hadn’t watched the 2021 trailer so many times, maybe I wouldn’t have been so disappointed though. I can see others enjoying it for its simplicity and lack of negative vibes. The whole Enchante concept, build up and payoff was extremely lacklustre and disappointing. Like first of all, maybe social dynamics in Thailand are really this way- But I couldn’t suspend my belief enough to think several dudes would fake being in love with Theo just bc his dad was a university CEO (and that’d be enough to get a lot user value from him??). Since there were barely any interactions between the potential Enchantes and Theo prior to their reveal, there was pretty much no real believability that any of them could organically have liked him and have been the real Enchante because of that. Basically how the Enchante concept was set up, it really didn’t deliver on anything and fell flat. You don’t really care about the Enchantes at all all bc their characters are mostly unsympathetic and one-dimensional. It’s pretty clear throughout that they pose no real threat to Akk and Theo getting together. Although I will say the actor for Wayo is freaking smoking and I hope to see him in more dramas lol.
The whole parent’s divorce storyline is incredibly boring as well. It feels like filler that was added to drag the last couple of episodes out as the Enchante was already revealed pretty early and the arc was realistically finished way before ep 10. It was just a storyline that showed how immature and selfish Theo was yet again.
Acting/Cast: The actor for Theo was pretty flat imo. His acting was fine, but I wonder if it was just because the character was so dull that I wasn’t that interested in him. Akk on the other hand is beautiful and charismatic- I really hope we see him in other works soon. Honestly if he wasn’t one of the male leads in this series, I may have just dropped it- it was that boring.
Music: Fine but nothing special, the French style vibes aren’t really my thing.
Rewatch Value: None lol. I can’t even think of a scene I would want to rewatch.

Expectations Weren't Just Ruined, They Were Destroyed...
When the 2021 lineup came out, Enchante was at the top of my most anticipated list. I remember thinking, "Wow, GMMTV is going to give us a series where we have little to no indication of who the main lead will end up with." I was so hyped and so sad that I had to wait until 2022 to finally watch, but I was hoping it'd be worth the wait. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I try not to go into too many shows with high expectations, but with this one, I really wanted to be surprised. But all that came crashing down before the first episode could even begin.Let's Dive In.
Enchante is a uni-set BL surrounding our main lead, Theo, who had just returned from living in France to resume his life back in Thailand. He ends up reuniting with his childhood best friend, Akk, and they are back to themselves like in the old times. While at school, Theo writes out his feelings in a book that he thinks nobody will pay attention to until he returns again to find that someone had written a response back as Enchante. With the help of his best friend, they embark on an adventure to find out who is writing back to him through the possible 4 options that claim they are Enchante. The synopsis is what sold me on the series. A bit of a mystery, a slice of puzzle-solving (or what I supposed would be puzzle-solving), some fluffy uni tropes, and an endearing romance. Sign me up! But this series was a complete letdown and in so many different ways. There is a variety of things to do with such a unique concept as Enchante, and they don't take any of them. I won't blame this series too much, since the book is supposedly the real problem, but they had all the resources to switch things up. If GMMTV wasn't so worried about making money through this pairing, this would've been a hit series, for sure.
Getting into what I didn't like: Starting from the get-go, I don't think that this was the right novel to adapt to the screen. Granted, I've never read the book, but I was spoiled head-on before the second episode could even begin (it was a bummer, but oh well) I think as a book, the revelation of (SPOILER LARGE SPOILER COMING UP) Theo himself being Enchante might've been cool, but on screen, it feels like a waste of time. I love the concept of trying to figure out who is flirting with Theo through book pages, and it's a huge blow when it's revealed; albeit surprising for sure, but not in a good way. I kind of wish GMMTV or the director would've come up with their own similar version of Enchante, with it being obviously completely different than Enchante in all aspects, but still having that surprise element of who Enchante could be, without it being the main lead himself. Cause otherwise, after Enchante is revealed, the series to me just feels like a quick money grab and a waste of time and potential.
Getting into my problem with GMMTV, they basically told us who Theo ends up with without saying a word. With the amount of publicity that Book and Force do, it's evident they would end up together. Doing shows together, lives, interviews, and whatnot, it burns your soul that GMMTV doesn't give two craps about the concept of the plot just to gain coins from this new pair. Even when it's revealed that all the potential enchantes had a motive behind pretending to be enchante, it's still just aggravating. Cause before episode one can even begin, the plot, the mystery, the stakes, and everything in-between are just useless. Even if Enchante would've been one of the four who claims to be, it wouldn't have made a difference if Akk and Theo still end up together. The entire aspect of "who Enchante is" is now just taking up airtime for something else that could've been utilized. It's a sad c plot that was supposed to be the biggest part of the series. Cause imagine how much fun it would've been to watch five guys run after Theo and each week we try to theorize who'd he end up with. Sigh, wasted potential.
The series could just be very boring and bland at times. Getting through the first 4-5 episodes is difficult, and I would most of the time, end up falling asleep. I realized that when I watched, I would have to multitask so I don't drift off, but it shouldn't be that way. They do a decent job at the build-up of the world and the story, but it takes too long. Inevitably, this series suffered from a pretty tedious storyline.
Book and Force have good chemistry until they do end up together, and then it gets exceedingly awkward and cringey. I think finding two close friends to play a couple in a series has its good benefits, but also its bad ones. I would say they are in-between; whereas, in some cases, their closeness in real life plays out perfectly when they are just friends in the series, but when they have scenes where they have to be close and intimate, you can feel that tenseness they both present (sometimes it's mostly just Book) and it can be a bit too intense to even watch. There are some times when it doesn't feel like that, for instance, during their first kiss, and some moments when they do incidentally get close, but I felt it a lot when they kissed other times, and when they become boyfriends. Talking about incidentally getting close, there are some tropes that are way overplayed -- tremendously overused -- like the getting close trope. I love a good cliche trope if used right, but after the third time, I just roll my eyes.
The conflict between Theo and Akk in the end is such poor writing. It is so unreasonable for him to get mad at Akk, and it's even more unreasonable the obstacles he goes through to try and get his parents back together. Sure, it's a sad predicament most children have to face, but god, you're in college, handle it like an adult, why don't you. It was equally aggravating to see Theo going through all of that trouble of making up Enchante just because he wanted Akk to notice him when he could've just communicated his feelings. Of course, no story if communication were real, but wow, this is what you call commitment.
I was intrigued by Tan's little crush on Natee, but it's terribly executed. It feels pretty one-sided, even at the end when Natee wants him back, it feels more like he just wanted his friend back -- which is sad in Tan's case. But at least we got to see a healthy male friendship (kind of, sort of, not really).
Me being nit-picky, but I'm tired of seeing JJ (and AJ) always playing support roles. Please, JJ would've dominated as Akk, or maybe even one of the enchantes. God, please give the twins what they deserve.
What I enjoyed: While I would've liked for one of the enchantes to be the real enchante, I'm not mad when we find out they were all kind of using Theo for their own gain. I love a little bit of mischief and vainness, (but then we found out Theo is enchante, and by then, what's the point? Like, why did he do all of those things for them knowing he was enchante..?)
Gawin. That's it. and Jimmy, cause he's a dime to look at.
The ending is the saving grace for this series. I feel like I was a bratty kid who had to sit in time-out for acting up, but then I have a realization that I am bratty and I was acting up and I can't be mad for someone sitting me in time-out. Explanation: I was pretty aggravated that what I wanted to happen in this series didn't, but seeing how adorable they were in Paris made me realize that I should just appreciate what I got. And the little proposal was cute, I wish that Akk would've said something about France having legalized same-sex marriage before proposing, but it's still really precious.
Ratings:
Story: 6.5: Horrible execution of the Enchante plot. Especially when it's pretty much useless since we see who Theo ends up with. Just a bunch of tropey stuff between the leads, some villainess side characters trying to get their way, and sweet ol' Gawin. I'll give six stars for the parts that I did find intriguing (Tan's crush on Natee, some moments between Theo and Akk, Akk's sisters, Wayo and Natee's storyline and reason for pretending to be enchante, Phupha for maybe the first few episodes,) and a half star for Gawin and Jimmy.
Acting: 7.5: No one really stood out to me as the best, and everyone was pretty much on an equal line when it came to acting. There were a few times Force and Book gave us nothing in the expressions department, with Force probably being the worst out of the pair. I'll take two stars off for Gawin, cause as much as I love him, his acting felt weird in this one compared to the stellar performance he gave us in Not Me. Another half off for them using JJ as a supporting role for the umpteenth time. #thetwinsofGMMTVdeservebetter2k22.
Music: 8 - I quite liked it. It was super soothing and perfect for the tone of the series.
Rewatch value: 1 - when hell freezes over, I will watch this again.
Sadly, Enchante could fit into the same box of My Gear and your Gown, My Oxygen, and Water Boyy -- series forgotten for the inevitable sucky-ness of itself. I don't feel like I'm alone since the views of Enchante have been the lowest I've ever seen come out of GMMTV. I feel bad for the actors, and part of me wouldn't mind seeing Book and Force again if they can be put into a series that is well developed and actually going to follow its original plot. I really do dump on this series, and it's because I had high expectations that just came crumbling down, and it fucking hurt. I think my interpretation of how this series was supposed to be was completely opposite, and that's why the entire series threw me off with each episode. If anything, there were some really good parts that I don't mention just cause I'm so upset that I kind of look past it. But part of me does think this would be a fitting BL series for someone wanting a lot of fluff and nothing too serious.

Wasted the screen time for the nonsense hunt for Enchante. Nevertheless, Akk saves the show.
From the trailer to the ending, the drama didn't leave an impact on me. The only reason I started to watch this show is all thanks to Force and his undying handsomeness. Fortunately, him being Akk, is one of the few enjoyable characters from the drama, along with Im, Egg, and Saifa. If not for the sake of these people, maybe I already dropped this a long time ago.I don’t have high expectations from the storyline yet I don’t want to feel disappointed at the same time. The biggest downfall of Enchante is the whole finding Enchante moments that is pure nonsense and drags the show to the bottom. It’s pretty tiring to the eyes and a wasted majority of the time of the never ending search for someone who turned out to be the searcher itself. Plots keep getting weird. After all those roller coaster quirky rides, Theo is the real deal. At some point I just joined the unremarkable flow of the story and told myself that sometimes rich kids tend to do silly as well as questionable things. It brokes my theory that the real Enchante was neither from the five of them but the art member, Tan. I saw a sight of him at the back when the four claimed that they are Enchante during the library scene.
Despite the sorrowful twists and turns of events, the main couple secured the chemistry needed for a love story. Their first kiss was so pleasingly romantic. Them sitting in front of a movie being played in a projector, plus the calming vibes of raindrops from the window, the red rose glaring at their backs, and the talked about challenging a kiss was absolutely a soothing and refreshing scenery for a glimpse of romantic development between the two. Yet, I wished that they did a french kiss since they already mentioned it but I’m fine as long as they kissed. I adore their lovey dovey moments together regarding the cliche scenarios. The flirting and little physical contact is sending me butterflies. Holding hands inside the ice box was something new for me. The pecking kisses simulated as a casual joke is cute as well but the rooftop kiss was so passionate. The time that they are finally able to release their long-hidden feelings by means of eating each others’ lips to a whole new level.
I feel bad that they made Theo a nuisance later on. He became too childish and unreasonable but I tried to understand where his emotions were coming from. He is far greater than the three Te-Te guys who awfully use him for their own selfish purposes. Saifah is an exception from them since he played as the actor casted by Theo. Wayo on the other hand is the worst. He deserved that punch from Akk.
The finale isn’t even close to being considered a good episode. I don’t like it at all. The sudden break up issue of his parents was an unforeseen scenario and I wished that the production should think outside the box for more possible kinds of conflicts since that was so bland. Throughout the episodes, I kept hoping to recover the previous flop episodes and EP07 made it. But then again, back to being flopped on EP09 till the show ended up with a boring finale episode. In spite of that, the little crossover with Krating and Punn from Baker Boys is a blessing. Love to see both of them once again!
The OST was good, especially that Tay Tawan is the one who sang it. Sometimes, the way they inserted a BGMs was inappropriate or not fitted to the element of the show. Overall, the show was a below average drama that only survived because of Akk. If not for him, I could have given it a lower rating. On the good side, there’s a little bit of entertainment factor that Enchante provided to me and it wasn’t that bad at all. I remembered someone commented that this show is “not that good but is still decent” and I kinda agree with him/her.

A subplot that wandered in, got distracted, and never really found its way back to relevance
After watching the Enchanté trailer, I made the classic mistake: I developed expectations. I was ready for a harem-esque story full of multiple love interests swirling around the central mystery of "Who is Enchanté?"—a thrilling adventure with a side of romantic tension, or so I thought. But alas, by the end of the first episode, it became abundantly clear that this was not what I had signed up for. The "Who is Enchanté?" mystery, far from being the heart of the story, was more like an afterthought, a subplot that wandered in, got distracted, and never really found its way back to relevance.
Now, I imagine reviews for Enchanté will be split right down the middle. If you’re here for a juicy harem dynamic or a tightly woven mystery, you might leave feeling as bewildered as someone expecting a rollercoaster but getting a merry-go-round instead.
After watching the Enchanté trailer, I made the classic mistake: I developed expectations. I was ready for a harem-esque story full of multiple love interests swirling around the central mystery of "Who is Enchanté?"—a thrilling whodunit with a side of romantic tension, or so I thought.

The "Who is Enchanté?" mystery, far from being the heart of the story, was more like an afterthought, a subplot that wandered in, got distracted, and never really found its way back to relevance.

What I Liked:
Cinematography and Locations: The campus is so picturesque that it made me wonder if I’d accidentally clicked on a tourism ad. The scenery is practically the star of the show.
The Little Prince Analogy: They did manage to weave in The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, which was a nice touch. A bit deep, a bit whimsical—basically, it added some literary class to the proceedings.
Plot Ideas: Now, I said ideas—not execution. The ideas themselves were quite promising. You could sense there was potential hiding in the background, nervously waving its hand.
Akk: A likable character with solid acting skills. He gave me someone to root for amidst the confusion.
Akk’s Little Sister: A scene-stealer in the making! Unfortunately, they gave her so little screen time that you’re left wondering if she wandered onto the wrong set and no one noticed.
The Fake Enchantés: I did enjoy watching the various imposters pop up, each with their own hidden motives. It added a bit of intrigue to an otherwise meandering story.
What I Disliked:
The Enchanté Plot: The main hook of the show—"Who is Enchanté?"—was so poorly handled that by episode 5, when Theo was still looking for Enchanté, my reaction was a baffled, "Wait, we’re still doing this? Why? Can we get back to Akk, please?" The exchange between Theo and the mysterious Enchanté felt so short and hollow, it was almost like a side quest in a video game that you accidentally complete and then promptly forget about.
Theo’s Character: I wouldn’t say he’s outright unlikable, but he’s certainly not someone you feel much for. He’s self-centered, aloof, and more of a plot device than a protagonist. He’s there, but it’s hard to root for him when he feels like he’s going through the motions rather than actively engaging in the story.
Attention to Detail: Or rather, the complete lack of it. There are so many little plot points that just don’t make sense—script issues, editing blunders—you name it. How did no one catch these before airing? It’s a mystery greater than the Enchanté one.
Pacing: Oh, the pacing. It drags. A lot. Whole stretches of time feel like filler—scenes that seem written by someone bored in middle school, unsure how to move the plot forward. It’s slow, and not the thoughtful, atmospheric kind of slow, but the “nothing interesting is happening and I’m questioning my life choices” kind of slow. Whether this was due to budget constraints or the screenwriting itself, I’m not sure, but it left parts of the show feeling like a slog.
Overall Thoughts:
Enchanté had potential. Really, it did. But it was let down by clunky screenwriting, direction that didn’t seem to know where it was going, and a post-production team that may or may not have been asleep at the wheel. The main duo are both relative newcomers to acting, and while they gave it a decent shot, the weak script didn’t do them any favors.
That said, there’s something oddly comforting about the show. It’s the kind of thing you can watch when you don’t want to think too hard—something simple, unproblematic, and easy to follow, if not particularly riveting. So, if you’re bored and in the mood for a no-brainer that won’t stress you out, Enchanté might just be the ticket. Just don’t expect a grand mystery or a complex love polygon.

And it was going so well...
...and then, in the last couple of episodes, it just completely flew off the rails. Sigh. Of course, "Enchanté" is one of those series that depend on the chemistry of the two leads - and they've got that in spades, but the entire plot is just too nonsensical to take seriously. Once the entire set up of the series is revealed in a later episode, you can't help but think, "Huh...?"The acting is okay. Nothing too great, but neither of the two lead roles are particularly taxing. And I'm fine with that - "Enchanté" is RomCom 101 and the demands on any actor is never too much. The four Enchanté guys are effective enough, but - once again - the plot is so dumb. From the first episode we meet Akk and Theo - childhood friends who've been separated ever since Theo left his family behind and headed Paris to be with his grandmother. Again...huh? For a story about someone who believes in true love (and his parents' love for him and each other are supposed to be "ideal love") yet he never questioned the fact that they just sent off their only child to live almost 10,000 km away in another country? Wait...what?
The last couple of episodes are just manipulation on top of manipulation. I sooo wanted to love this series that I was willing to get past all the plot holes - holes you could drive a truck through - but, ultimately, I couldn't. The ending is just too forced and, above all, fake and dishonest. Disappointed. These guys deserved more - and I would be surprised if they don't get more from GMMTV - but I hope the next time they'll get a sturdier vehicle for their abundance of charm. Oh, and we clearly need more houses for these series. Theo's house was in "Don't Say No", "Baker Boys", the interior of Lian's home in "Cutie Pie", and I was just waiting for Phob from "Something in My Room" to show up in Akk's house. Also, final add - the "Baker Boys" shout out in the final episode alone almost makes up for the messy plot - almost.

A drama that got lost in it own story
I felt the need to write this review after seeing a lot of good reviews and I wondered if I had seen the same drama...The basic plot and the trailer promised an interesting drama packed with romance, mystery and conflicts aaaand... It didn't deliver.
First, the premise of the drama is Theo looking for "Enchanté" but whenever one of the potential Enchantés approaches him and tries to get closer to him he either looks annoyed or puzzled, consequently, we know close to nothing about the four guys because we have no connection to them, no real wish to know them and wonder if they are the real Enchanté.
Moreover, Theo starts looking for Enchanté after three boring sentences written in the book, there's no connection between him and the mystery person, why would he begin to look for them with such little connection? It's explained later in the drama but still... it doesn't make sense at the moment where we see it in the drama.
Second, a majority of the characters are not pleasant, including the main character!! Theo is self-absorbed, selfish, rather cold, stubborn.... Natee, Phupa and Wayo are manipulative, creepy and opportunistic. We don't want to follow their story! the way they try to act as if they are Enchanté/ flirting with Theo is painful to watch (they're either stalker-ish or cringy)
I hated that Akk is always there for Theo but Theo is not there for Akk and takes him for granted....
Third, the pace is problematic: everything goes too fast or too slow. At the beginning, we are introduced to all these characters but we have no time to get to know them, some of them are already "out" of the story because they are revealed not to be Enchanté and we don't care because we know nothing about them.
And later in the drama, it got so slow! I really didn't care about Theo's parents' divorce and that part of the story dragged on for too long and it did nothing to make the whole story move forward.
So to those who liked this drama, I'm glad you did because I didn't and though I decided to finish what I had started, it sure was painful!

Overall: I would call this a traditional Thai university BL (many tropes, poor communication, cute moments). However, with the evolution of BL, this felt boring to me and I didn't like the character Theo. Watched on YouTubeContent Warnings: manipulation, manhandling, vomiting, dub con kiss (half asleep?), punches, student/teacher relationship?
What I Liked
- Akk's mom & sister were great
- the side characters' French was good (likely native speakers)
- Akk was pretty adorable, especially quickly cleaning up his room and being the Flash
- cute moments like the kitchen spoon fight
- the consent before their kiss in ep 8
- that they were physically affectionate with one another after ep 8
Room For Improvement
- the main issue I have is Theo is pretty unlikable. He gets angry at others for treating him like a child but he has the maturity of a child (which was even shown in the last episode with his parents, there was zero character growth).
- the lead actors have a similar look, they should have styled/colored their hair more differently. I was confused when the story shifted location/perspective because I thought it was Theo at first. And the other leads also need more differentiation (i.e glasses, jewelry, hair color, etc).
- do not write in library books, especially "I'm bored", replacing a book also is a bad idea because it isn't processed and can't be checked out (ie no barcode, spine label, etc)
- Theo spoke Thai until 6th grade likely spoke it for the 7 years when he was abroad (with his parents/grandmother) but the one word he couldn't remember was "lost", this just seems odd
- Theo's French was bad for someone who lived 7 years in the country
- the blur filter on Theo was too much, some shaky camerawork and night scenes were too dim especially in ep 10

I am [a bit] ENCHANTÉ [D]!
Have you dropped this title? If the answer is yes, you´re missing out.If you dropped it because it was too slow-paced and boring,
I understand, but you´re still missing out.
If you ask me why I didn’t drop this title, I will answer you:
I didn´t want to miss out and I felt it had a lot of potentials.
Why? Read below.
Production / Music 9.5 >> 10 >> 9.0
One of the main reasons why I fell in love with this series is its outrageous cinematography. Love the use of candles and the colouring of each scene, especially at the night, I cherished each one of these moments. Some of the scenes are so beautiful, that I want to capture each one of them and hang them in my room. The cinematographer really knew what they were doing. The music fit the overall vibes of the series. The storytelling was a bit slow-paced in the beginning, I agree, but if you stopped at Episodes 2 or 3, you missed the rhythm change in Episodes 4 and 5. Beginning from there, the time that seemed unrewarding started to pay off at its best. The story finally got the chance to flourish and with it, the actors did too. Those who were not admirable at all became even less admirable and those who were appealing became even more appealing. Everything starts to unfold and flourish if you just give it a fair chance. However, the story/ plot twists is a bit what they lacked in.
Plot / Story 8.5 >> 7
If you want the portrayal of realistic love in an unrealistic scenario, Enchanté is exactly what you´re looking for. I have already reduced the rating because of the slow-paced start, I am not ignoring important factors of a series like how catchy it is and if it can keep the viewers. However, once the story unfolded, as well as their characters Theo and Akk, I was convinced that it will only get better. Why? They did not simply convert into the “perfect main leads”, they started to show their weaknesses and imperfections to the audience. Natural trades even made them less attractive but more human. I could emphasize more with each one of them more because their humanity was shown. The entire harem of Theo convinced me as well, even though it was a cliché scenario. The delivery was fresh and exciting. Love started to unfold… I just wish they had not made some predictable decisions, then I would have enjoyed it even more and could have given them a better rating.
Cast 8.5 >> 10 >> 9
Outstanding performance by Force and Fluke. Especially Force´s portrayal of Akk was on point, every facial expression was so relatable and well-fitting. His eyes were the most magnificent actors in the series. I know he also received a lot of criticism because of his “over the top” / exaggerating portrayal of Akk. I disagree here, I think his delivery of Akk´s personality trades were not unfitting at all. On the contrary, if his character would be missed on them, “Enchanté” wouldn’t have been this catching for me. Theo and the harem had solid acting and they all fitted into their roles, with everyone having their individual touch to them. However, Force (Akk) is still my personal highlight of this series, I wish I had as friends as reliable as him!
Overall, I will give it a 9.0 >> 8.5 >> 8.0
because it fits my taste, meet my expectations and the portrayal was on point. They turned a harem cliché romance story, which I usually despise, into something I want to cherish and therefore convince people of its worth. My time does not feel as if it was wasted at all. In contrary, I’ve found a new actor I want to support throughout his career. :D
This show is mostly enjoyable.

Akk is the ONE
What kept me watching this mediocre series was just one thing: Akk.First of all, i felt like the plot was almost nonsensical, i disliked almost every bit of it, except for the scenes that included Akk. Almost every character was cringe or barely good enough to make me feel something... But Akk. Oh, Akk.
Force is an incredibly talented actor and he impersonated Akk's character amazingly. He made me smile a lot and have butterflies in my stomach, the character himself was the sweetest thing: he was funny, loyal and charming. I hope to see Force's future works soon, since he was so good in this series. He was the only one who saved it for me, otherwise i would have probably dropped it.
Anyway, if you're okay with a light series with a lot of cute scenes that Akk gifted us, go watch it!

Charmless
This one was disappointing for me. It started off interesting. I like Book and Force. I saw them in Boss and Babe first and I enjoyed their chemistry. It was present here as well. It's not killer chemistry but it's solid and enjoyable to watch. But then they put them in this series and it almost drowned out any chemistry or energy they have. The plot is lame for the get go. The whole secret admirer named enchante and the four people claiming to be him, was just boring. This despite having a cast of solidly good, and attractive actors including Fluke D. who could have chemistry with a statue. It flows from his pores and his eyes. They had an opportunity to have a second couple who would've been fire and did nothing with that. It was so pathetic.
Halfway through I realized I was bored and didn't particularly like Theo. I really liked Akk but his common sense and easygoing nature began to contrast too much with Theo. He had such potential to have a fun story but it was constantly thwarted by the grumpy as hell Theo! But, outside of skipping a little here and there, I stayed patient believing that Theo, and the show, would get better. How very wrong I was.
I'm not getting into any detail about the ending. I will say though, by the last episode I was wishing the show was more like real life and they Didn't end up together. By the end credits I felt disappointed and anti-climatic. I'm sure I will soon forget this one and I'm thankful for that. I'm also super glad that I watched a boss and a babe before this because I enjoyed them and that show so well. It was a nice introduction.
