Jia He’s mother was murdered unexpectedly two years ago. Because of that, she and her father both lost their focus in life. Jia He’s father failed to find any decent job after retiring from the wrestling team, so he worked for a slaughterhouse as a beef deliverer. This job made Jia He a victim of public shaming. She became lonely and helpless and formed her own personal moral code — fighting back in every way possible towards shaming and unfairness. (Source: TMDB) Edit Translation

Must watch!

A story about almost revenge. Li Jiahe(14) is a good writer that lost her path in life after the death of her mom 3 years ago. She is struggling in everything except literature and after an arguement with her dad she unexpectedly meets her mom's murderer. She follows him around for a couple of days while plotting out her revenge.
The casting was great Deng Enxi is definitely a talent to watch!!! No casting choice was particularly bad, but Deng Enxi's emotions stood out the most to me even though I am a little biased. Leon li who played the Male lead was a great actor, but maybe he was too old for the role. I was confused about how old he was supposed to be until I figured out he was supposed to be 17-18. I feel like if they got a Male actor closer to that age than some parts wouldn't feel so awkward since many people around them thought they were a romantic couple.
The music is something I don't really criticize my only criteria is that it doesn't pull me out of the movie which here it didn't but nothing I remember in particular.
I will definitely look forward to anything Zhou Sun puts out cause this was crazy good for a debut!!!
Only thing that might turn off people is there is a lot you will need to figure out for yourself before it is shown so you may be confused at moments.
I definitely recommend this and would watch it again and again.

Zhou Sun's Debut Feature!

It's crazy how this is a debut film! It feels like one of those films from experienced directors and casts.
It's a coming-of-age story about a 14-year old girl who is struggling with the death of her mother, bullying, and finding her own voice amidst everything that is going on.

The main lead doesn't talk much in this film, she's a very introverted girl who obviously has a lot going on in her mind. Instead of talking, the emotions are portrayed by the facial expressions and showing what she is thinking in her mind. And because there isn't much dialogue, it makes you pay attention to all the little details going on, which I love! Often times, the movie goes back and forth between the past and present - when the mother was alive and after her death.

It can get a little confusing but after finishing it and thinking about it (it's a movie which makes you think a lot btw!), you'll realize that it actually made sense!
Acting wise, I thought it was amazing (the actress is only 15 years old!!).
Music wise, I actually didn't pay attention to that...there wasn't any attractive music played in the film.

Overall, 8.5/10 - if you are a movie enthusiast, you should give this a try! but for lovers of lighthearted and casual movies, this may be quite boring! :)
