The beginning really confused me
Things happen here and there.
Some scenes scared me, there's a lot of jumpscare.

As the movie goes i started to understand what's going on. It was funny then scary then funny again then heartwarming. The plot twist were really unexpected!

The ost was really good! Especially the one playing at the end.

However the poster is misleading. It made me think that the pink hair girl is the FL, but she actually isn't.

This is a movie that needs to be watch few times so that i could understand. But i can't stand the scary scenes, i don't think i could ever rewatch it alone.

Fresh and a unique plot!

I was lucky enough to be able to catch the movie premiere of this show in my country, I've just gotten home, opened up my computer and here I am.
[Alert: The movie has quite a few sexual references [7/10 spicy] so do take note!]
Summary:
FUNNY, CUTE, LOVELY, AND A TEAR JERKER. WORTH THE WATCH! AND IM GONNA WATCH IT AGAIN KEKE

PS: These scene description are not considered as spoilers. Its just briefly how the movie starts and how it will start developing

This is the MOST unique and newest storyline I have ever watched! There are ML, FL [Pinky] and FL [XiaoMi/XM]. Before death, ML and XM were the best of friends for years and yay they got into a relationship, and engaged just for a short while before his death. When he was down in the underworld, and after some "You're Dead" process, he decided to be tested to be the God of Love, Yue Lao [an actual god in history and also the chinese name of the movie] and ding ding ding, he passed! And shockers! His partner is Pinky! I wont talk about their past or the major spoilers but wow if I wasnt watching the movie with my mum, I WOULD BE BAWLING!! The romance line was SUPER WELL WRITTEN!! Visual Effects were done SO WELL that they won an award at the Golden Horse Film Awards alongside with other segments. I can't describe much about the movie because theres content and new information every minute and of course it wasn't draggy at all, it grabbed your attention every second and every minute. Other than the romance line, there's a evil plot as well but again, it isnt like what we expect, not your typical stupid revenge plot. Really worth the watch!! Even the after credits scenes were like "OH WHAT?" I am definitely going back to the cinema for this movie soon after its public screening! 10/10 superb!

one hell of a tear jerker

Story: They really had me in the first half ngl. The first 30mins was like pure comedy, making me think that this was the overall tone of the story but heck i was wrong man. The next 1h30mins had alot of sad romance + jumpscares and fantasy elements involved. I cried twice during this movie and it was the first time ive cried over a movie. (ps i watched this ystd at the cinema so the scenes are still fresh in my head) However, there are a few plot holes in the movie which explains the 9/10 and not 10/10. I will not be going into detail as it would count as a spoiler. The ending was also kind of confusing to me but i understand why it was made this way.

Acting: Vivian Sung and Kai Ko, two fantastic actors placed together in a movie would definitely result in a banger. Their acting felt so genuine that during the sad scenes, i couldnt help but cry along with them. One complain i have is that despite Gingle Wang being the FL, she got less screen time than Vivian Sung who was the second FL which was quite absurd imo... They could've extended the movie abit, showing more romantic interactions between our ML and FL in their future life.

Soundtrack: Just amazing. When it started playing during one of the sad scenes in the movie, i immediately teared up. Its called Red Scarf/Ru Guo Ke Yi by WeiBird

Rewatch value: I personally dislike rewatching movies/shows but i think this show is worth rewatching after a long time.

Overall: If you are looking for a comedic/horror/thriller/fantasy + sad romance show with superb acting, you have came to the right place! As long as you ignore the few minor plot holes and illogical moments, you will be able to enjoy this masterpiece to the fullest :)

Fresh and Unique Plot Story

fresh and unique story.
I just finished this film, what a unique and fresh story.
some elements regarding the environment are also embedded in the film. and kindness that we actually do unintentionally, may be things that have a big impact on others we help.
Regarding tragic love stories, I don't think all of them will have a happy ending.
In time, we must learn to let go, and continue to live with renewed vigor.
Thank you, this film is very warm and the ending made me cry so hard.

an enjoyable movie, through and through.

“Why do you want me to fall in love with another guy?”

This movie is a perfect example of what a ‘complete package of emotions’ in a movie looks like. It goes, literally goes, from absurd to funny to weird to confusing to heartbreakingly-sad to suspense to mystery to funny again and back to sad again and ending it with a heartwarmingly-powerful ending. Although I do feel like the movie is grasping too many topics to focus on, but I think they still nailed it. If some of you already watched Along with The Gods, I think this story is kinda the same to that. Well, except, Till We Meet Again is the romantic version of Along with The Gods, and its much more sadder than that (I used three sheets of tissues cause I was literally crying like 4 times and each time I cried was harder than before lmfao). Plus how dare this movie put their jokes in a middle of sad scenes? Like come on, the first minute I was laughing, and the next minute I was crying (so hard)—only to be invited to laugh again in the middle of crying.

And…. have I told you that the acting carried this whole movie? Kai Ko, Vivian Sung, and Gingle Wang are absolutely charming in this movie. I really love how Kai Ko and Vivian Sung are really expressive with their acting, and they successfully invited their audience to felt the same emotions like them.

I really love that Tao Ming Tse reference, plus that Harlem Yu song… Qing Fei De Yi right? I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE!!! *insert that one captain america in the elevator meme*

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, it was funny and sad but powerful. I might consider to watch this again, who knows?

Worth the watch

Cons
1. The first 15-20 mins is seriously boring and super lame. I don't see the point at all and could have been shorten to focus on the main storyline. So if you feel the same, don't give up, the show will get better.
2. Close to zero common sense, or possibly too complex for mere human like me to understand the concept.
I still don't get the ending even though its a good closure. The part of some thing doesn't change even after 10000 years but it ended up differently.
3. Whyyyy Vivian movies always has such an ending why???
4. You probably need to know a bit of Buddhism about Karma and reincarnation to understand the movie.
5. The antagonist storyline is a little......weird.

Pros
1. Very interesting main storyline. I wish they would have explore it further on it rather than spending it on lame epilogue of love God thingy
2. Story twist
3. Very tear-jerking mainly because awesome acting by both main roles and really good love storylines.
4. Great music
5. Some parts are really soft fluffy and really funny (not lame)
6. I absolutely adore the dog acting!!

Overall this is not a perfect movie but again who is actually perfect? There is loophole here and there and questioning about everything, why this why that. Its weird but also very worth to watch movie. I am still giving solid 8. If you are a fan of Vivian movie, this is 💯 to watch list. The romance is soooo soft and fluffy.

A mix of different genres could be a blessing or a curse.

"Till We Meet Again" is an interesting movie with a mix of different genres - fantasy, romance, comedy and horror. At times, I feel that the movie is trying too hard to have so many different elements. Two hours don't seem enough time to fit everything it tries to achieve. Nevertheless, this is a unique movie with great acting and songs.

The first 15-20 minutes are jam packed with introductions to the main characters and the ins and outs of being selected and trained to be the god of love. There are some weird comedic moments, along with some disturbing scenes. Not a lot is explained about the underworld, so watchers have to pay close attention.

I enjoy the love story between Shi Xiao Lun(ML) and Hong Jing Qing (FL). I am a fan of destined love and theirs is a touching story. However, ML’s partner-in-crime, fellow god of love Huang Wen Zi seems like the third wheel in the whole movie. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with ML, but then she acts as a supporting role for pretty much the whole movie.

Additionally, the movie throws in another plot of revenge. This is when I think the movie is trying to do too much. In the end, everyone is connected with each other in their past lives, but since this is a movie and not a drama, not enough time is dedicated to each character. The movie has a large supporting cast, especially other gods of love and the seniors. All the gods of love only seem to exist to tie the red string on FL. After that, they pretty much disappear. I would have loved to see this funny lot more, but you know, time constraints.

This is my first time watching Kai Ko. I was so moved by his crying when Shi Xiao Lun reunited with Hong Jing Qing for the first time after his death. Kai Ko is funny during Shi Xiao Lun’s younger years and scenes of when he’s alive, and he gives off a very different vibe when he’s the god of love. Since I’ve seen Vivian Sung before in “Lost Romance”, I expected to see her do well, and she’s really pretty here. Her emotional scenes are great. I’m glad to be introduced to Gingle Wang. Her image as the god of love, Huang Wen Zi, totally reminds me of Kim Hee Sun’s Grim Reaper role in “Tomorrow” with her pink short hair. The short pink hair is probably the only similarity between the two characters. Apparently I’ve seen her guest stars in a few dramas before, but I don’t remember her. If this is a short drama and not a movie, I think she could make a stronger impact.

Overall, "Till We Meet Again" is an interesting movie to pass time. The mix of genres could be a blessing or a curse. And it will be up to the viewer to decide.

Some things won't change even after 10000 years

This was another great taiwanese movie! I actually walked into the cinema with the thought that this was going to be a funny movie with some love story, i really did not expect the horror parts to come in

To be very very honest the plot was kind of not exactly there, like i was super confused when the bad guy came in because they didn't like very clearly explain why he wants revenge or maybe i did not watch the movie clearly HAHA

The scary parts were so scary its like all jumpscares if it wasn't jumpscare maybe i wouldn't be so scared

I also wanted to know more about gingle wang's character and how she died, like they did show that she was murdered but that made me want to know more about it so that was kind of a part which i did not truly understand too

Okay now to the love story, the love story was super duper cute and the way they showed the development paired with harlem yu's 情非得已 just brought back so many like memories HAHA, kai ko and vivian sung's chemistry was😙😙😙😙😙😙 HOWEVER i did not cry which is a huge shocker because your girl here cried watchinf frozen II. I was just super confused by the plot and couldn't get into the emotional part yk yk

But overall this is definitely worth a watch, but i suggest you watch it with your friends because there is one extremely unholy scene involving a man and a motorcycle and that got me like 🤕🤕🤕 in the cinema HAHAHA

MUSIC: gosh i repeat weibird's 如果可以 every single day i think it will definitely snatch a spot in my spotify wrapped this year

Made me tears up

I watched this movie in cinema and I cried badly there. It's a heartwarming story with fantasy elements. But there are some of unanswered questions, mainly about the culture. It's a 123 mins movie, so there weren't (or I missed?) a detailed information about some cultures. The poster is also a little misleading in my opinion, I barely see the pink girl in the second part.
I don't know much about the cast, I only knew Vivian before I watch, but the man's cry is really good, not overly dramatic, but enough to show the longing.
But overall it's good. Will watch again when available in global platforms.

Goodlook Asia Fantasy Movie, Kai Ko make strong comeback, Gingle Wang pink hair is really so pretty!

This movie just hit the cinema in my country (You can check your country It's been shown in many different countries on different days.) It's a fun fantasy movie, even though it's 2 hours long, Kai Ko and Vivian Sung performances are really explosive, It's great One of the strongest Asian actors but Gingle Wang is too little on screen!! but this one is really worth watching. The Ost is very nice, highly recommended!

Story : Aaron (played by Kai Ko), who was killed by lightning, came to the underworld, and all his memories before his death returned to zero. He has to make a choice reincarnated but may turn into a snail or take up a priesthood, accumulate Yin virtues and reincarnate as a human being? Aaron decides to become a newcomer to the old moon. He partnered with Pinky (Gingle Wang), a hot pink girl, and came to the world to perform a mission, When Aaron met the dog Alu and led his owner Xiaomi, he was in a previous life. The memories of XiaoMi (played by Vivian Sung) are all back and Aaron hopes to help Xiaomi in the world to find a new marriage, but every red thread tied to Xiaomi hands has been burned! It turns out that some things will not change in 10,000 years.
At the same time, Guitoucheng (played by Umin Boya), who escaped from the underworld to the world, launched a bloody revenge operation and found the horse thief brother who betrayed and killed him five hundred years ago, While Aaron was still excited about Xiao Mi inability to tie the red string, Guitoucheng regarded XiaoMi as the next target to destroy.

10/10 highly recommended The song is very touching. These actors, this show is the bomb. They are great and complete the story
