Reviews
A lot like Love
In the series, the female lead, Ring Musica, often comes across as impulsive and thoughtless in her actions. She can be quite exasperating at times. Sigh, on the other hand, is known for his hot-blooded nature, adding a different dynamic to their relationship. At a certain point in the story, Musica's behavior becomes perplexing when she seems to display romantic interest in someone else, despite being married to Singh. This situation creates tension and raises questions about the characters' motivations.
One of the most intriguing aspects of Musica's character development is her fluctuating blindness. After an incident where she saves Singh but inadvertently causes someone else's death, her blindness comes and goes in a manner that's not entirely clear, leaving viewers puzzled.
Gift, the rival's daughter who becomes somewhat of a friend to Musica, is another character whose actions defy logic and common sense. However, she mysteriously disappears from the narrative in the latter episodes, leaving viewers wondering about her fate.
Throughout the series, there is a significant amount of physical affection between the lead couple, including passionate kisses and warm embraces. This may suggest a growing romantic relationship, but the circumstances surrounding their relationship development could be more elaborated upon.
The series is well-received for its engaging storyline and the palpable chemistry between the lead actors. James Ma's performance adds to the appeal. However, it's not without its flaws, as certain plot points, such as the disabled and previously non-verbal grandfather's sudden ability to speak with difficulty, and his refusal to acknowledge his illegitimate son, remain unexplained.
Notably, Jab Penpetch, who played Singh's father, also appeared as James Ji's father in "To the Moon and Back," adding a familiar face for fans of Thai dramas.
The series begins with a marriage of convenience between Musica and Singh, with Singh initially lacking romantic feelings for her. However, over time, their relationship evolves, with Singh eventually falling in love with Musica. The transition might seem abrupt or unclear due to the fast-paced nature of lakorn storytelling.
In the end, the series concludes on a positive note, with the couple forming a true family unit. Their child inherits Musica's unique supernatural gift, which she had lost at some point but now finds a new home within their family, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the story's resolution.
