Fast, paced.

Although this came from the same novel, I can tell that many people really looking forward to the other adaption, which is the drama version. But as far as I can tell as a watcher, this movie has many things to develop.

Story-wise - Maybe for everyone who have read the novel, you can't really look forward for the detailed dialogue or some parts that you thought would be an important one. Although, there must be many chapters and scenes that has to be included in the movie, I can't really see how the plot goes, because, damn, it's really fast. I tried to match the ones in the novel, but they have seem to combined some of it, and I admit, some details are not that often to see. So, I guess they had to make it fast so it can be compiled in 1 hour and 15 minutes duration. Some scenes may explained a really important one, but there are some of the detailed one that are missing, and different, at some point. I grasped the whole plot fully after I watched it a couple of times.

Acting/Cast - As far as I watched it, considering the personality of the characters that I know from the novel, I can tell that the main leads are trying to smoothly convey it. But, it still lacks a couple of things. There are still steps ahead, and I can tell it would be better if they pour out the emotion more, and convey each of the personalities well.

Music - At some scene, it seems that it really comes together with the background music. It pretty fits, even from the environment to the entire scene, that's why I gave it a pretty high one because from the music itself, I still can understand how the scene goes.

Rewatch Value - I guess I would, if I want to go through a fast-paced movie.

Overall - If you guys want to watch this one before the drama adaptation, I'm not going to hold or even telling everyone who read this, not to watch the movie. I'm not going to say the movie is really bad nor good, but I can tell the crew and even the cast really pours out their hard work, although this seems to be too fast. Again, I say that they still have many things to develop.

This is only my review, including my opinion. It may not be that accurate, but I can say that it's pretty fine to watch.

I was just that desperate and not i regret

Well...that sucked really bad.
Too fast, the relationship makes no sense, they all have the same 3 outfits, it just sucks.
- what did the surgeon show after the surgery to the FL's family ?the father's stomach ?
- if yes , why did the girl cry ?
- how did people enter so easily to hospital and why was there a fight ? What is security doing ?
- Why did he fall in love so quickly and why is he being creepy about it ?
- How many days passed for her to graduate and start uni ?
- how did she get his number ?
- How did the best friend and the ML's cousin know each other ?
- WHEN did they forgive each other ?
- So many questions i have,so little motivation to write them down

Wasting a Sunday afternoon...

I was trying to find light, fluffy movies to pass some time over the weekend and stumbled upon this (on YouTube).

Someone "please enlighten me" as to why this movie made it out of production.

Oh my ... my, my, my, my, my ... what a mess this was.

Not even a hot mess either; more like a hairball left neglected in the corner.

Damp and gross (slightly unhygienic).

The main leads were sawdust and cobwebs.

I didn't get their connection; the story was rushed and they had no real time to develop feelings.

There was no character growth, no one to cheer for, no chemistry, and no real story.

Watch if you need background noise for a nap.

mistake or not....

Whoa... I don't know watching this now is the right decision for me or not... When I find out about this movie I just so excited to watch, of course because this is the 'oath of love' movie. That's why this movie make me even excited & can't wait for the oath of love to be finished air so I can Binge watch it...

When I watch the trailer of oath of love I keep guessing & wondering how fast the relationship bloom actually. But after seeing this movie I really feel their relationship will gonna be quite fast to bloom.... And after seeing our dr. Gu here really can't wait to watch how Xiao Zhan gonna portray dr. Gu in his version.

OK let's talk about the drama itself...

The movie yeah I have to admit this quite fast paced, will gonna be much better even though this is just a movie to have longer duration. Everything happen so fast & so sudden. But dr. Gu attitude himself sometimes make me blush with excitement... I really like how he flirt & treat Lin Zhi Xiao.

Really can't be excited enough to watch the drama version. To see the better explanation about some stuff this movie try to ignore....

It seem like a good story line , but I was so confused. It like the took a drama and summarized badly. Leaving out background . The pace of the character was also confusing . It could still work if they remake it in to a mini drama to fill in character background . Was disappointing. The story took away from the actors acting. Just all around confusing.

Could have seriously used some character development

This movie played like they had taken a long drama, cut out all the important parts, and then edited in a way that didn't make much sense. The couple goes from barely looking at each other to holding hands, and all of a sudden, they are a couple. I had to back it up a couple of times, thinking that I'd fallen asleep and missed something.

We don't really know or learn anything about either of the main characters. He's a doctor, professional, non-emotional. She is studying physics? Why? Do we care? Does it have anything to do with the storyline? They really never talk to one another. She finds out he's leaving the country for six months from someone else.

Dubbing continues to be an issue for me in C-dramas. There HAS to be more than one woman in China that can do dubbing. Her voice is so high, childish, and irritating and I've heard it in so many shows. It really takes me out of the drama.

The storyline with the dad and him trying to marry her off was over the top and just irritating.

In general, I found the acting in this drama lacking. Wooden characters or over-acting, take your pick.

The high point? The fact that it was a movie and not a long drama so I can move on.

Very fast...

As a reader of the actual novel, I wasn't aware of this adaptation since not that long ago, so I gave it a try and... It truly feels like it was very fast, too fast. Note that I will judge because of what I read, make some little comparisons and will also tell what I felt about it.

So, I don't know why they decided to adapt it that way, but the way their relationship was rushed is clearly something that doesn't seems right to me, it doesn't seems as natural and simple as I was expecting it to be. For a short movie like this, it was expected, but they could only adapt a short part of the story with their cute interactions at the beginning for example such as the way Lin Zhixiao met the Doctor with an apple and offered the apple to him but then she realised that the apple was only half peeled. They made the apple a thing though, it was a cute reference, but only as a reference, it truly meant nothing as a watcher only.

The way they tell us some details about the story is really abrupt. These informations are mostly coming from nowhere and that's mostly caused to the rushing of the actual story.

It also seems like their characters changed a bit, I don't remember Dr Gu being this flirty, not that I mind it actually but it's so strange. Same for Lin Zhixiao, she's just being a cute young lady here. Their chemistry is quite nonexistant, that's quite sad but also understanding since they really rushed the process of it. The actors themselves also seems like they're kind of lacking, espacially Dr Gu's, Xu Fangzhou (I'm adding this as an other reason for their chemistry to be only meh).

What I found interesting though was how San San was portrayed here, she really is different to Lin Zhixiao and they showed it well. I really loved her and was happy when she came as gorgeous as she was supposed to be. They have a really good chemistry together, almost better than the actual couple themselves and that's funny when you see a particular moment between these two in the movie that was a nice touch to their relationship.

I won't talk about the ending scene in details but I thought that it was an interesting way to end it even if it wasn't something their actual characters would do.

So in the end, is it watcheable? Yes, it is.
Is it worth it? Well, if you're waiting like me for the drama adaptation of it, it's maybe worth giving it a try.

Too long so it can have so many clichés

It ended. It was nice to watch.
STORY - nothing much to point out. Dreams and reality holding hands. The stories of every couple were a little long and boring...

ACTING - it was good. All the main leads were competent.

MUSIC - i do not really like this kind of music. So, for me, nothing will remain.

REWATCH - i will not rewatch it again. There is not a scene that caught my eye or that i want to revisit.

OVERALL - simple, light but too long. In the end, after so many hours of screening, we do not know the end of some couples.
