Don’t watch this unless you want to ugly sob

Lads, I did not think this movie would be so sad, I BAWLED the last 30 minutes? This was absolute bliss: the acting was so natural and good, the chemistry between the leads so magnifying✨✨ like there were actual sparks, actual love in their eyes, so good! The music was fitting throughout the whole movie. Either super fun or heavily emphasizing emotionally loaded scenes, and therefore complimenting the story perfectly. The ending left me broken hearted and sobbing in my bed at half past midnight?

His whimpy attitude stole my heart ~ predictable plot, nonetheless punchy execution

The watching experience was an emotional rollercoaster.

The plot sometimes funny sometimes gore with Quarantino quality to it... but always was naively honest about the male lead's emotions... worn on a sleeve. He was absolutely the shiny star of this project.

What woman does not like a simp that is handsome, hardworking, patient and a tad bit crazy? Well let's say the obvious simping and random fascination with the female lead did not outshine the male lead's performance. All the plotholes can leave my memory, ok-hay? Wait they already gone!

If you do not like getting emotional over movies give it a skip. But otherwise it is a nice little movie to put in your pocket. (Not in an everyday typa shirt though). And nothing more.

As always,
Thanks for reading.

Good acting, unexpected development

I hadn’t read any reviews before watching this, so for me, the story development came as a surprise.
Writing this without trying to give away spoilers, but if you really don’t want any hints or clues, then stop reading as it is difficult.
####

The synopsis on Netflix is really short, and I didn’t really remember if I watched the trailer back when I added it to my watchlist. So, for me, this kind of hit me right in the heart.
Maybe I was expecting a bit more lighthearted banter, and not something that was quite emotional (I cried).
It felt shorter than what it is; I actually felt they could have let some of the story play out in a little more detail.
The two main actors were great; not boisterous taking up a lot of attention, but low-key strong presence.
The ending kind of left me wanting more.

I WAS BAWLING BY THE END.

The headline says it all. I thought thia movie was amazing. Although it did have some questionable details, it was still good. The ML fell in love with FL. And ofc FL ends up falling in love with ML. What I liked about it though was the fact that he knew he wasnt good for her. He still wanted to be with her, but he wanted to change for her. Cliche... maybe. But I think its cute. I also felt really bad for ML. His life became shitty because of his brothers business mistakes, and he decided to take on the burden. While doing so he remained as positive as possible while doing what he needed to do to protect his family. I think its adorable how even in the end he made sure that his family was taken care of and the ML too.

I was searching for a relaxing movie today and came across this on netflix.

From the trailer i thought it would be like any other movie, like those you watch to pass time. But in the end it’s so beautiful.

Roy Chiu and Ann Hsu acted so good.

The story was well written

Their love is so beautiful.

By the end your eyes will be puffy from the cry.

Personally I found this movie one that I would recommend to anyone who likes movies with a bit more grit and realism.

Well worth watching!

Idiot in Love makes a bunch of stupid decisions

Well this movie is depressing, slice of life romance about a guy who may have a kind heart but is a complete fool and does not know how to communicate, handle liquor and thinks buying a woman's body to blow off some steam is a reasonable way of doing things...

The female lead is kind of cool, I do not really get what made her fall in love with the fool but I do feel for her. I also feel for the fool as his way of buying women and making stupid probably is a reflection of the environment he is in rather his true self, whatever that is... So I did find myself shedding a small tear.

So if you are in the mood for some ugly clothing, depressing lighting and a not so happy story of fool falls in love... this is indeed a place to find it.

This Tore My Heart to Pieces

I started watching this at 11:00 at night, and by the end of the movie, I was a crying mess at 2:00 in the morning. I love Roy Chiu’s acting and portrayal of A Cheng so much. This is a guy who somehow survives and thrives in the world of loan sharks when he he has such a warm and kind heart. He himself is a victim of this underground world when his brother’s business went bankrupt. A Cheng pays off his brother’s debt by being an enforcer. When he and his gang go to collect on the debt of the FL’s father, he instantly falls in love. He, at first, tries to tempt her through various horrid schemes to pay off her debt such as selling her body or her organs. Maybe he wants to see what kind of woman she is and whether she is good and filial as she seems. Through his final scheme, her going on non-sexual dates with him, he falls more deeply in love. She starts to soften her heart when she witnesses the many kinds acts from A Cheng. This movie just tore my heart to pieces. I want A Cheng to have a happy ending: marry the love of his life, leave the gangster life, thrive in the tea shop business with his wife, and become a father because A Cheng would have made a great father.
