i want to live in that bl world lmao
this show is funny and entertaining asf, i find myself enjoying watching and ended up bing watching the eps... something about it is so addictive? i was curious about the events and whats happening next. its just so interestingi also wanted to mention that watched a lot of shows that have comedy and i find myself not enjoying most of them ,but this show was completely different, a comedy that is actually entertaining and funny.
the only thing to complain about is that i wish the romantic aspect of the lead was explored more, it was very brief but over all its great, i wanted to see more about ayato and tojo, was so interested in their relationship as well

"Meet Cute" overload
This was a very funny and cute series. It basically takes the piss out of the world of BL and how the smallest "Meet Cute" could lead to a relationship. It has all the tropes everywhere you look but done in a way where the main character is practically pointing them out for the audience. It's almost as if they made this series as an introduction to the world of BL however I find the humor is in the fact that BL lovers have seen all of this done multiple times and we know the truth behind the joke that it is overused. I feel like anyone can enjoy this, whether they are new to the BL scene or a seasoned watcher.
I read some reviews where people thought the ML's relationship kinda happened out of nowhere and was too short but I didn't feel like I missed out on anything. The show is completely centered around that idea of the first meeting and so I think it ended perfectly where he finally succumbed to letting that first meeting evolve into asking the guy out on a date. It still came around full circle. I know there is a second season (which I haven't seen yet as I write this) but I feel like this ended on a good note and I don't feel like it needed more. I'll still watch the second season just because I liked this one so much.
Last thought... I could watch the opening song countless times and not get tired of it.

Super Funny
Hilarious concept. Very entertaining and I really enjoyed the performance of the lead actor. I really liked all the characters and thought the humor was really well done. The ending was a little rushed and I wish it had been done better or at least foreshadowed but I can forgive it because of the short run time. Also the opening song is a banger and I would listen to it on repeat for days if I could find it on youtube. Overall I would definitely recommend this to someone. It's a quick watch and it's absolutely worth your time. Was this review helpful to you?
80% Comedy + a 20% Romance = 100% Fun
The idea was great ! The plot and cast were all so amazing.the one thing that made me give 10 to casting was Mob's facial expression. He made the whole series 10 x funnier and really liked how he would predict the scenarios.
It was too little to no intimate scenes in this series, but believe me, YOU WON'T REGRET WATCHING IT, specially if you've watched a handful amount of BL series.
despite being a 4-episode series, I felt it's longer. I really like how japanese series can develop the story and characters in such a short amount of time.
overall, make sure to watch it.
I liked it so much

The relationships of the characters seemed to start really quick though especially with the main character. It went so quickly from Mob denying his attraction to liking Kikuri so quick. But I understand that it's all because it's a short parody special. It did make me think of how many people could be struggling with their internalized homophobia lol.
Overall a good special, I really have no regrets. It's a quick watch that won't leave you disappointed.

Very funny!
I spent the entirety of this show wondering if it was funny, stupid, or genius, and I have decided that it's all three. They really took this idea and ran with it and I love that! It was purposefully cringey, which could be almost painful at times - still, I rarely laugh out loud at shows, so I have to give credit where it's due and admit that I was laughing through a good 60% of every episode. The plot left me wanting a bit more. With such a short series, I think they sacrificed depth for comedy - and I don't really mind, but I hope we get more character development and maybe even more world building in the next season!!

Funny and Light
I really found this to be a light hearted mini drama.Hands down the most fun I've had watching a comedy series in a long time. I was literally rolling on the floor. It's short, but totally worth the time. The casting was also very good (not great, but decent), and the main character played his role flawlessly.
This series uses the power of parody and it comes out perfect, it is very funny, the best thing is everything that happens in the background of the stage, it genuinely feels like being in a world dominated by the BL, another feature in its favor is the duration, the fact that it is so short allows you to better enter the game and participate in the absurdity. This drama is god damn funny, the manga made me laugh but the over the top acting from the main character mob is funny. He makes these faces like he's a villain trying to be straight.
Overall :If BL drama fans want to take a break from emo/sad BL and want to laugh from the BL tropes they often see in these dramas. There's eye candy of so many guys loving other guys. It's god damn funny to boot with a ending that most fans will love. It really needs a follow up/sequel because a cliffhanger ending is bad.

The Man Who Has Saved the World of BL
A Man Who Defies the World of BL "is a parody of BL's dramas, poking fun at cliches and the entire world of BL, with its excluding non-BL romances reality and with crazy fujoshis and fudanshi freaks. There were moments that I laughed like a madman, mainly due to the actor who plays with his eyes, facial expressions and body in a minimalist way, and the way he does it just kills, crushes and cuts you into chaff. : D The guy hardly says anything, as the film is a narrative, so we hear his thoughts and his mimic is their perfect illustration. Plus, for people who are familiar with japanese language, the film is extremely fun: the voice modulation and some phrases just nail it all ..
So here is a story about a student who has realized that the world around him has turned completely gay and he is terribly afraid that eventually this BL virus will infect him irreversibly. So he decides to oppose!
Soon after, however, he receives a deep blow to the very heart, he learns that even his closest people are infected, but despite the shock, he fights to the last drop of blood. After successive breakdowns, he falls into an overwhelming resignation, which can be seen in his increasingly tired face and more and more stooped figure. After all, the only weapon he has left is his bitter sarcasm ...
The film makes fun of all known BL clichés: scenes at school, in the school corridors, on a bridge, on a roof, seme's hand on the uke's head, intertwined fingers, naked torsos, leaning heads in the cinema, Valentine's chocolates, etc. etc, well, all the BL elements, that we know so very well. : D
I watched all eps one after the other and I was excited about every sentence and dialogue. The scene at the soda machine in the second episode threw me off my chair, the scene when Mobu comes home drunk and is afraid to fall over on the street, lest some flower boy accidentally save him, just smashes it all ..
I think we have a breakthrough and a fresh breeze here. Maybe at last BL cinema will move towards some originality, in spite of making the same stories all over again changing the actors only...
Oh wait, the truth is that I actually miss the japanese odlschools and the japanese sensitivity, and to be frank this film does not mock them at all, but actually hugs them tenderly. So do I!

The end ruined the show
This show was pretty funny and I liked the plot and the characters, but the execution was kinda bad. The final relationship was weird and forced. The love interest came out of nowhere. Their love really should have started in like the second episode or at least introduced the interest, instead the show rushed everything to the last episode, making it seem out of character for the main. Even when he was confessing, it seemed he was unwillingly compelled to. The show spent too much time showing us how much he was against bl, it was unnecessary, though funny at points. Also, I felt like I would have liked it better if the love interest was a cuter, shorter guy or tall, masculine guy and naturally made his heart flutter. They looked bad together tbh. Also if the main fell for the guy first instead of the other way around it would have been better, it took away from the romance and only made it seem like the main liked the interest because he liked him first. There was no chemistry between them, which sucks. The main had more chemistry with the guy he met at the karaoke bar. I wish that guy had come back :/ I wouldn't recommend the show, a bit of a waste of time. It was good up until the end though.

Could I be a Mob?
I thought this series would be weird because the trailer one Viki was something and I would’ve never pictured a show would be about the whole world is like a bl drama were all the boys like other boys and if it was an actual world please sign me up cause I would love to see that type of universe. Also Mob is so hilarious because of how hard he’s trying to not date or have feelings for another guy because he doesn’t want to be in a BL. Also Ayato is so adorable and I literally love him so much like he’s my favorite character. And can we mention this bop outro ‘Bubble Love’ by Da-Ice is such a good song that whenever I listen to it I always remember this show. Also that intro has to be one of my favorite ones because the actors singing it and the costumes were so amazing and funny. I will warn there may be spoilers ahead so be aware.I got hooked in right after the first episode, it I was quite funny how Mob was trying to not get pulled into the BL world, but could not escape it at all to the point that he could even write his own BL novel because when he was predicting who confessed to Ayato he knew that it was Toujou since he has roses and a spotlight on him. Also can we mention Ayato and Toujou’s relationship cause they are the cutest things on earth like they remind me of two bears. Also Mr. Mayama is kinda scary because he basically was writing about what he sees in the BL world and it actually comes true. Also it was funny about how hard Mob was trying to escape being in a BL, but Kikuchi was making Mob come into the world because he likes him. Overall this show is very hilarious and very short and I definitely recommend this show because you just can’t miss it.

For fans of the genre
A good 7 is a fair rating for this absolutely hilarious parody, I watched it in one night and am amazed that my neighbours didn't scream at me through to wall because of my booming laughter. If you are a seasoned BL fan, then you will be delighted, otherwise the series will be nothing but irritating and weird.
It makes use of every absurd trope and stereotype BL Manga have to offer and how to avoid the pits they dig for their male cast – no one is safe from the power of gay love.
I couldn't rate it higher due to three reasons.
Miscasting is one, most of the actors simply don't fit the characters they play, high schoolers look like adults, university students like they are past 30, it's very strange and breaks the immersion.
The story is nearly none-existent, mostly because the cast is way too big, there are so many couples that we don't get to know any of them, they really are just there to personify the tropes and create laughs.
It works for a few episode but gets stale quickly, I just wasn't invested in them, even those that get a decent amount of screen time.
Acting is mediocre or horrible.
I understand that the budget was pretty low, they needed a massive cast, from side-characters to background fillers, but neither of them were convincing; some fillers even laughed at the main characters when they should have been unaffected by them, you can see them stifling their laughter in the background.
The music was either so generic that I didn't notice it at all, or there wasn't any.
Re-watch value is very personal, I can't see myself being amused by it a second time, the gags work by surprising you with a trope, it wouldn't work for me again but that might be different for others.
Overall, it seems more like a private film-project instead of a professionally produced series, although a very good, very ambitious one that manages to deliver what it decided to present.
I would definitely recommend it to experienced BL fans that can laugh about how silly their hobby is at its core - I will surely watch the second season should it ever come.

a BL parody
This show/movie? is genuinely so funny! I found myself laughing multiple times from the main characters comedic moments. In its own way 'Absolute BL' reminded me of Extraordinary You with how they both have main characters who figure out they are in a comic world of some sorts but in this case it's a BL world. Absolute BL is definitely a comedy rather than a romance show and is a parody of BL tropes without it mocking the actual genre. Its very short show but it's definitely a fun quick watch.
I'm excited to see what will happen in season 2 considering that this season left in a cliffhanger.
I quickly want to note that the OP is genuinely so good and so unexpected the first time I saw it. Stuff like that along with the add visual effects for example the flowers, music and random beams of light that appear on the main character really add something more to the comedic aspect of the show.
