THIS WILL SNATCH YOUR WIG
Just finished the last few episodes and I NEED MORE!!!!I need a season 2. Nam Joohyuks comeback from the military is ICONIC. One of his best roles, and best K-Dramas I watched this year. Truly no K-Drama had me quite in this type of grip.
There is only one negative thing i’ve got to say about it, and its that I can’t find the OST or Soundtrack of this show!! The outro they used in ep2 is AMAZING. I NEED THE SONG!!! I tried to shazam it and searched for it but nowhere to be found. So if anyone knows…let me know.
But once again, this was such a good 8 episode drama. Usually the best K-Dramas tend to be 8 episodes, which is so frustrating! I don’t think anything has been confirmed for another season but I truly hope they don’t let this show die.
Gripping storyline, acting and characters. Nam Joohyuk has always been one of my favourite actors so seeing him in this type of role was exhilarating.
Lots of great actors in general. I’m in love!
Please watch it!! You won’t regret!!!

An Exciting Crime Thriller
How often have we questioned the leniency of the judicial system?Adapted from the webtoon, “Vigilante” ( 비질란테) written by CRG and starring Nam Joo Hyuk in the lead role, Disney+ latest psychological thriller answers this question and some more. After “The Worst of Evil”, I was expecting another exciting ride and “Vigilante” doesn’t disappoint. It is a rather fast-paced crime thriller that will instantly grab your attention and make you venture a guess about the protagonist’s thoughts. It is indeed a dark sojourn, no prizes for guessing that. Frankly, “Vigilante” represents all those victims who failed to gain justice against their evil perpetrators. It is gusty, violent and likely justified, even though there might be many who can’t accept the brutality extended by the main lead towards various assailants. The main character’s duality and his complex emotions form the gist of this storyline. What I loved about this show is that the script doesn’t shy away from using violence as a viable means to punish outlaws who escape punishments using the loopholes in the judicial system. Nam Joo-hyuk’s uncanny transformation from a romantic hero to an action hero delivering justice is surprising and shocking. The first two episodes project an anti-hero in the making, who hightails as a police academy student on weekdays and as the “Vigilante” on weekends.

From Student to Shadow Warrior: A Gripping Look at Vigilantism
Picture this: You're minding your own business, scrolling through your streaming platform, and you come across this drama with a title that screams action and suspense. No trailer, no spoilers, just diving straight in. That's exactly what I did, and boy, was I in for a treat! Now, "Vigilante" isn't your run-of-the-mill crime-solving drama. Oh no, it's like diving headfirst into a pool of adrenaline and moral dilemmas. Our main man, Kim Ji Yong, played by the talented Nam Joohyuk, is living a double life that'll make your head spin. By day, he's your average student, but by night, he transforms into this enigmatic figure called the Vigilante, dishing out justice to those who slip through the cracks of the legal system.
But wait, it gets better! We've got a gangster like cop, Cho Heon, hot on the Vigilante's trail, a gutsy news reporter named Choi Mi Ryeo feeding him intel, and let's not forget about Cho Kang Ok, the ultimate superfan who's itching to join Team Vigilante.
The drama doesn't hold back on the action, suspense, or the occasional jaw-dropping plot twist. You'll find yourself glued to the screen, heart racing as our heroes navigate the murky waters of vigilantism and the law. And let me tell you,
Nam Joo Hyuk absolutely kills it in this role. Gone are the days of romantic leads; he's here to kick butt and take names, and I am here for it!
But hey, it's not all serious business. "Vigilante" knows how to sprinkle in some humor and heart amidst all the chaos. From intense action sequences to heartfelt moments, every scene serves a purpose, keeping you on the edge of your seat and invested in every character's journey.
So, if you're looking for a drama that'll make you question everything you thought you knew about justice, morality, and the power of a good black hoodie, "Vigilante" is the one for you. Trust me, you won't regret joining Kim Ji Yong on his quest for justice!
Overall rating? A solid 10 out of 10! Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be over here crossing my fingers for a Season 2. Vigilante, assemble!

Vigilante: An Underrated Action Masterpiece That Deserves More Attention, in My Opinion!❣️
Vigilante is hands down one of the best action K-dramas I've seen this year! It's such an underrated gem that deserves more love. I was hooked from the first episode and couldn't stop watching. The cast is incredible, and Nam Joo Hyuk's performance in his first action genre drama was outstanding. The story is absolutely captivating. The anti-hero concept is amazing, and I totally wish there were more episodes too. I don’t like some characters, but there are always characters we don't like in most series, but that's part of the fun. After finishing Vigilante, I couldn't help but think that we need a season 2 ASAP. Plus, it's a shame that not many people are talking about it. Overall, it's definitely one of the top K-dramas released this year, and I highly recommend it!!🫶🏻Was this review helpful to you?
i inhaled the whole show.
Wow. Just wow. It seemed to be so short at first, but in my opinion it was the perfect length, although the ending was rather left to edge? Anyways, it was morally a bit challenging and the plot was twisting as promised.I also think that the topic the show was built around is very important for people to discuss.
I loved the show so much, I'd watch it all over again for even 3 times right now.

Vigilante story done right
It's been a short while since I finished the show so I wanted to share my thoughts. The story:
This show truly delivers in what it promises; a vigilante story. It's well-executed from start to finish with great acting from all cast members. The story grabs you in and you don't realise how much until the credits rolls. The ending was exactly what I hoped for. One man can't alone change the system, but he can create a spark that could burn it down. And there'll always be someone who'll try to fight against corruption and evil-minded humans.
The OSTs:
There has rarely been a show where I've been obsessed with the sound design as I've been with this show. From the song choices to the score choices, it just fit perfectly and elevated the show to a next level. As I'm writing this review, no OSTs or scorealbum have been released. It's a shame because this show's sound was phenomenal.
So I'm excited to see if this one gets a second season, but the first one is plenty enjoyable alone.

Just to give a different perspective

Seems it’s so so hyped, so just thought of copying the comment I have written earlier.
Not so great, unless u have time. Plot is pretty weak. No depth in characters or relationships. No thrilling moments or suspense, bland.
Acting was good. Decent action sequences. It’s 7 imo.

Best drama of the year.
From the beginning until to end, there is no scene getting bored. All the casts appearance and acting so great. Especially Kim Ji Yong portrayed by Nam Joo Hyuk perfectly act by him. Nam Joo Hyuk is Kim Ji Yong himself. His acting has give me goosebumps in some of the scenes. His eyes gazed give me chill. His acting in this drama top notch 💪💪💪💪. No one can act as Kim Ji Yong except Nam Joo Hyuk. His best role so far for his 10th year career. We are looking forward to see him in other roles after he discharge from military service. Once again, Nam Joo Hyuk You are the great and best actor i have seen so far. Looking forward to hear you will receive many awards for Vigilante 🎊🎊🔥🔥🥵🥵Was this review helpful to you?
The most underrated blockbuster
The story revolves around a student from the police academy with a tragic past who starts fighting evil to devend the victims rights, called Vigilante.I belive no one can ever do a better job as Kim Jiyoung other than Nam Joo hyuk. Every character fits each role like it was made for them. The cold but not too psychotic eyes of Joo hyuk is just amazing. The almost norderline psycho Cho Kang Ok is also one of my favourite character as of S1. I'm totally looking forward to watchingbthe S2 soon. This has the right amount maybe a little less gore scenes but i loved it

You need to be evil to kill evil
Loved it! Loved it ! Loved it!Story is about how the law system is twisted. It only favors people who are in power or have money. I think not only one country's law is corrupt, but the whole world law system has corruption in it, more or less.
Our hero, Kim Ji Yong has turned into evil himself to kill evil. Became a fan of Nam Joo Hyuk. Loved his acting. The way he played a psychic character who is after criminals. The way he smirked, his facial expression was mindblowing.
Cho Heon is an honest cop but looks like he is corrupted. Yoo Ji Tae is fully changed here. I last saw him in Healer. He is a big macho man with bodybuilding & everything. Did he change his physique only for this role??
At first, I thought Choi Mi Ryeo was doing all this only for fame & name or for her channel rating. As the story progressed, it turned out that she was doing it for justice, which she never received.
Honestly, I didn't like Cho Kang Ok. He did everything for fun. But in the end it turned out to be something else.
Felt bad for Kim Ji Yong friend.
Will there be S2?? The ending did imply S2, but I read that it got cancelled.
