A lighthearted rom-com that's a little overhyped...
Buissness Proposal is exactly what you would expect it to be from the title and the cover picture ; a cheesy, lighthearted, rom-com. You don't go into expecting anything groundbreaking and by the end you find those expectations met.The first few episodes are definitely much better, and much funnier, than the final episodes. At the begining of the series it's hard to stop watching but by the end it gets tedious.
The conflicts feel unnecessary and the the lack of any wedding by the end makes the drama end on an anticlimax.
Overall, its not a bad drama and it's a fun, easy watch, but is it anything new, exciting or unique? Definitely not.

Pure escapism, warm and fuzzy. The lead actress where beautiful coupled with great acting.
I personally prefer simple straightforward storytelling, injecting over the top conflict for conflict’s sake is overrated.
Talking pictures are for unwinding after dealing with reality.

The female stole everyone the show
One thing is sure , the FL could was a better kisser than the ML;)They could really be a real pair ; totally convinced me with their natural acting .
One of best romance Korean dramas I’ve seen…no dragging scenes, entertaining, moreover no need for more episodes…..love these kind of stressless dramas to relax from daily stress.
The actress was perfect for this role , very talented and natural in her acting and mostly thanks to her outstanding performance the drama was s gooood. I’m looking forward to her next projects. She definitely gained a new viewer.

Typical Cliched rich CEO, poor girl trope
I'm not gonna complain about the cliches in this show because that kind of provided a nostalgic escapism that we used to get from earlier kdramas like Boys over flower, What's wrong with Secretary Kim etc. This one is slightly fresh (just slightly). I was more invested in the 2nd couple though. Good, light, sweet drama with great clothes, houses and food. All great.HOWEVER. (and this is the biggest pet peeve of mine)...
However, the sheer amount to dumbness the main characters showed was mind-boggling. The CEO ML is apparently a genius but cannot discern the overly-obvious similarity between Shin Guem Hui & Shin Ha Ri?!?! Even while attending the concert, when the same dial tone played, the same injury was seen on two different people on the same day?! Even when he was outright showed Shin Ha Ri on the video commercial BTS!? That was frustrating to watch...
Coming to Shin Ha Ri... by comically trying to run, crawl, make faces while attempting to hide your identity, you're bringing even more attention to yourself!!! Well thank god the CEO is dumb but my God this woman knew how to be centre of attention while trying to avoid being centre of attention.
I know this is supposed to be chill, sweet, funny romcom, but this is 2022...surely better job could've been done on writing out the characters. Even romcoms can be funny without making the characters overly dumb.

Can you make cliches work? Yes, you can!
The series (so far) is one huge cliche -- yet it works! While the acting is good, the reason the show comes together is the direction and editing (I think -- I am not educated regarding components of filming) -- HOW the scene is filmed contributes a lot to the overall humor.
And it is interesting how the cliches begin to be directly tackled and dismantled (in episodes 4 and 5).
I almost dropped the series after episode 4 because of the borderline-abusive behavior by the male lead -- fortunately I caught the teaser for episode 5 and, even though the borderline-abusive (and cliched) behavior absolutely did occur, the show handled it (reasonably) well -- it shows the heroine reacting in a way that would have been likely to happen -- as in, the behavior has real, negative consequences, and is not immediately forgotten. Thank you for acknowledging reality! However slightly :)

Well known story but really beautiful and amazing cast
If you want a short beautiful rom com, then this is the one. At first you get the similar vibe kdrama story, rich cold male lead but after watching you will realise that he is not cold like other rich male leads, he is really soft on the inside and not mean at all. The female lead was to my liking, friendly and strong, she is really good and played her role well. The second leads are amazing and they have realistic relationship. One thing i loved about the show was that they didn't drag love triangles for too long.Summary, its worth it, just watch it.

"Even the worst cliches sound good coming out of your mouth."
This drama didn't invent the wheel new but it added it little spice to it.A business proposal is filled with cliches and I doubt you'll find one drama that cooperated them so well into a series, that made the drama an easy going, fast paced and humorous show to watch.
The acting of the cast and their chemistry is outstanding.
And I am not talking about the chemistry of the main lead couple only.
The friendship between the main cast, supporting, mocking and brighten up each other in every single way makes you want to be part of it.
Also support characters as Mr. Kye or Jo Yoo Jung made the drama even iconic with their lines. The latter cracked me up with her random english lines everytime.
All of the OSTs are charming, almost suffocating sweet.
They are upbeat and have a certain ease to them, which makes them the perfect match for A Business Proposal.
While the ending was not rushed, I still felt like I was missing something.
They tried to finish it in 12 EPs, which made it, like I said before, a fast paced show, but in the end I wished they added one more EP to take us on the journey of the two main leads and their future.
Overall, if you are looking for a drama, where you'll get hit with cliches, relatable characters, iconic lines, and a lot of humour you found the perfect rom-com to enjoy your time with to relax.

RomCom feel-good is back!
Yes it is again your typical dating contract story but it is more than that!Finishing the first episode will set your anticipation and love for this drama. I surely loved the push-and-pull between Kang Tae-mo and Shin Ha-ri. The intimacy between Young-seo and Sung-hoon. The comedic vibes of Team 1 researchers.
The comedic side will surely make you laugh rather than cringe. I salute the actors and actresses especially Se-jeong for doing great with facial expressions. She delivered it really well!
Overall the drama is beyond the cliche impression, it is definitely funny and butterflies in your stomach drama! 2017 Kdrama RomCom series is resurrected!!!

it's not about the genre it's about the story
I really enjoyed this drama and I hope you will as well. Initially I was attracted to the characters and the slapstick was funny. As well, I had been reading a lot of mangas and light novels or webnovels and I was curious how this would translate to tv. There were several vignette using different medias where it be artist rendering, a stage, moving picture frames, etc, to invoke all the various ways art can be displayed. The subtext: it not about the media it's about the message. How good this message, or story, determines the quality of the product. Just like in your favorite deep novel, "ei the russian novel you were supposed to read for self enlightenment", the character development and growth is integral to this drama. The character progression in Business Proposal was a joy to watch as it was nuanced, subtle, and lighthearted. Really who wants to be pounded with doctrines and have your thoughts ground to an acceptable refinement. There's the church for that. All four main characters have flaws. If all the characters were defined by their flaws then it would be true to describe this as cliche. Rather these flaws are the springboard from which we witness the four characters grow. For example the ML lead is fond of saying "he is great at many things". Yes he is rich, tall, and handsome. He is also jealous, thin skinned, overly competitive, and vindictive. Without love, this character is doomed to a life of misery. It is through the journey of love that he is able to understand himself better and take a more accurate look at his surrounding. The colours are really beautiful if you look at them.
p.s. I love the ending. these people are young. they have their whole lives ahead of them. With their partner, they are taking that walk into the woods.

THIS IS THE ONE!
I like how the story is light and cliché yet straightforward — there’s no dragging and no complicated twist and turns. And it has only 12 episodes in total! Its greatest strength is the chemistry between the characters. Kim Se Jeong and Seol In Ah have previously worked together, so I think it partly helps build up the chemistry with the other two leads. Plus, all actors are around the same age and have similar vibe.
Thanks to the great chemistry and light story, I am able to enjoy this drama a lot. It has been my source of happiness these past few weeks. Every Monday, I feel alive again and already looking forward to the next week.

Well worth the wait
I put off watching this series until the final episode aired and I’m so glad I did because I don’t think I could have waited a full week to see what happened next. It was a fun ride right from the start and I found every cast member added to the enjoyment. The two main couples had such great chemistry and played their parts so well that their interactions seemed sincere and natural. I’ve watched so many dramas over the years but I’d have to say that this one would be right up there in my top ten. To tell you the truth I was surprised at just how good it was given all the hype but I’d easily watch it again. Top series. Was this review helpful to you?
