Chill, feel good drama.
When I first heard that Business Proposal was getting a k-drama adaptation, I couldn't be more excited! They also chose the best actors to portray the characters, I can't imagine anyone else doing better. They did such a great job.I was already obsessed with the webtoon before and I became doubly obsessed after seeing it come to life. The story was so good, the characters had such great chemistry together, and I couldn't stop laughing until my belly hurt. Everything about this kdrama was just mwa!
Plus, the music is a blessing to the ears.

Second time was not quite the charm.
I’m reviewing this after re-watching this drama—I’ve watched it a total of two times now. I should have left well enough alone but it was dubbed and its nice to have a K-Drama that you can watch while doing other things.Using my personal rating system of "loved," "liked," "meh," & "nah," this was a “liked” the first time I watched it, a “meh” the second time I watched it.
What I liked:
I liked the fact that this drama did not appear to take itself too seriously. There was a good use of situational comedy, sound effects, visuals, etc. I loved the dinosaur metaphor for the male lead, especially when he’d call, or text and the image would pop up on her phone. I also loved that they had an ‘actual’ kdrama going in the background and made fun of it throughout the show, especially the silly things like two people falling on each other and accidently kissing. I liked the second couple. They were cute (even though they went through some immature moments, they resolved them quickly and had a much more communicative relationship that FL/ML, see below). There was believable chemistry between the FL/ML, too. I also liked that the drama itself was short and did not appear to have much in the way of fluff. I appreciated the fact that I did not get SMLS in this drama (the SML did not realize he wanted her until someone else took her attention away from him...you snooze, you lose, buddy).
What I did not like so much:
The fact that the FL appeared incapable of telling the truth…ever. She went to all these unnecessary lengths to hide everything from everyone all the time. Her attempts to hide her identity as an employee were ridiculous since she never tried to really alter her appearance. Then when they finally did get together, she kept trying to hide the relationship even though ML was comfortable being open. She even lied to ML with no justification—for example, when his grandfather called her, she outright lied to the ML about who it was. After a while, she was so neurotic I just could not see why the ML even liked her—their whole relationships was built upon falsehoods and she continued the trend, even after it was unnecessary. I don’t remember noticing this as much the first time I watched it, but it really bothered me the second time.
So…should you watch this? I rather enjoyed it the first time, but I would not recommend for a re-watch.

Rewatchable but....
....because of the second couple and not so much the main one.Don't get me wrong, the main romance is also great and the FL is brilliant, she really shines in her role and I think it's because of her bubbly personality mainly but the second leads in this show really steal the spotlight.
I love things like not being able to be a couple because of something stupid that then rectifies itself, predictably but whatever, and then it's just a cute story from there- trust me, that isn't a spoiler because there's so much going on with these two that it's never simple for them.
It's funny, serious, whimsical and cute- I would say it's worth a watch for sure.

this was done so damn right, and amazingly done this needs all the awards in the world, fantasy, romance, history, freaking everything even horror after seeing the weird female leads 'best friend/crush' guy. the main female lead oh my days i love her she's so pretty ha-ri is drop dead gorgeous and i don't know how she wake up so pretty like she just got ready for the day. then kang tae moo can have my next born child that's how hot he is he can literally wear heels and step on me continually and i would say thank you please continue. then the second lead couple freaking amazing *chef's kiss* again love the enemies to lovers trope give me freaking more. its so good i have no other words to sayWas this review helpful to you?
For cliché lovers!
Honestly, I was either confused and frustrated or giggling and laughing. This is a good watch if you miss romcom dramas of the past decade! But it wasn't that memorable at all.I watched this because of the hype it was getting. It was really good at its first few episodes. It was truly romance and comedy, but comedy was gone after episode 9. It actually became boring. The ending felt rushed too. I wished there were at least one more episode, or they could've improved the last two episodes, but again, it went downhill. I still had a lot of questions after watching, and it wasn't in a way that it got me hooked. More like in a “... what was that ???” way.
I saw someone say the whole plot seemed like fillers for the whole drama and honestly, I kind of agree. It was plotless.
The second couple also had more chemistry and their relationship seemed realistic, but was still not something remarkable. Characters were one-dimensional and it was frustrating to see the lie go on.
Overall, this wasn't just my cup of tea. I love me some romcoms but I still want it to have some plot.
It's really not that deep though. I was just disappointed because of its hype.

Superb Casting
The roles fit to the performers well. The casting was perfect. I like everything about it, except that it is not something I would rewatch again and again like Love O2O. The story was a cliche it's just likable because it was well-performed. The ML is perfect for the CEO role - the looks, the way he delivered the lines, the personality and the way he carried himself.; not trying so hard. He looks natural. The FL has the FL vibe - nice hair, and the charm. All other characters fit the role as well. I am looking forward to the ML doing another CEO role again. He is perfect for this kind of role. Was this review helpful to you?

Not for me , Not at all match with the title
First male lead' character had shown a business maniac but in whole drama such things had not shown because he was busy with his dates . Actually grandfather wanted him to get married but he didn't want it so he decided whatever the first girl who arranged by his grandfather as blind date . He will asked her straight to get married because he didn't want to waste his time in such things but the day had arrived his expectations had failed because the girl answer was no . As she was not the one who he was actually going to meet .with the time passes he came to know that the girl was fake but something had happened that he wanted her do act infront the grandfather and as usual they fallen in love ,then some ups and downs they had faced in their relationship because of the status differences then happy endings to the couples .I like second lead couples more than the first lead .they are more cute and their chemistry is awesome ,something real was their in their acting but in first lead I didn't see any charm or something which connect me wit them though had some more romantic scenes as compare to the second leads . I think the first lead female actor at some point did overacting that spoil the story , I guess.
Second leads was the best.

Predictable but entertaining
This was an extremely cliched romcom. Predictable but entertaining and good one time watch.Story: Not much to comment on story , it was full of typical kdrama tropes of which I lost count after a while :) I was more invested in the second lead pair cause of their chemistry and since I had read the webtoon. I was therefore, very disappointed with the way the drama showed their relationship developmen. If like me, you feel robbed of seeing their story, I would suggest you definitely read the webtoon right away.
Acting - It was very average and nothing that that blows your mind or you remember or want to rewatch. The lead actress Kim SeJeong had good comic timing, I loved the second lead pair more than the main leads.. Rest of the cast scenes I skipped a lot.
Overall: Nowhere near my top romcoms list, but if someone likes a light hearted, cliched romcom, this is one time watch worthy.

Cliché K-drama with good characters
You are not going to miss anything if you don’t watch it, as this is another k-drama about a romance between a rich CEO and a lucky woman. However, if you’re already watching it, it’s quite entertaining. The characters have interesting personalities and the secondary couple is cute.I started watching this drama because it was highly recommended on TikTok, but I from my perspective it's overrated. I think that the fact that the story has 12 episodes only is an indicator of a superfluous plot, where there is nothing to add to an argument without a big obstacle or problem to solve for the main characters.

Fluffy, funny, and entertaining—but still light on realism and substance.
A Business Proposal is an easy, feel-good watch that delivers laughs, charm, and chemistry—but not much emotional depth. It’s the kind of drama that makes you smile throughout, even when you know most of what’s happening could only exist in K-drama logic. At first, I struggled with how unrealistic the characters’ behavior felt, especially the male leads. They weren’t shallow, but something about their reactions just didn’t feel grounded. They were polished, composed, and successful, but lacked emotional authenticity outside of their “business persona.” The female lead, while likable, got away with a lot that would’ve caused real tension in any believable relationship. Conflicts appeared and disappeared without consequence, and the drama leaned heavily on charm over substance.
That said, there *was* a noticeable shift around episode 9. Once the leads officially got together, their chemistry started to feel more natural. The attraction became believable, and their interactions flowed better—less performance, more comfort. That improvement gave the show a bit more heart and saved it from feeling completely artificial, which is why I ended up rating it a 7.5 instead of a 7.
The comedy lands well, the second couple remains a highlight, and the pacing makes it easy to binge. It’s a well-made drama that does exactly what it promises—it entertains—but it never really tries to dig deeper. All style, all fluff, very little soul.
Pros:
✔ Great comedic timing and fun pacing
✔ Noticeably improved chemistry after episode 9
✔ The second couple feels more grounded and genuine
✔ Bright visuals and bingeable energy
Cons:
✘ Still lacks emotional realism or weight
✘ The male leads’ reactions feel overly polished
✘ The female lead faces no meaningful pushback
✘ Fluffy tone that sacrifices substance
Would I rewatch?
Maybe—for the later episodes and comedy, but not for the story itself.

Satisfactory!
If you want to watch something light and want to waste time, this is perfect for you! The cast and acting is perfect as well as the ost. Until now, I still love hearing the song. Although, for me, I won't watch it the second time anymore because the story is very easy to remember. I have read the webtoon before this and by the time they announced that it will be adapted into a drama, I wasn't very happy about it. Honestly, they changed some plots that I would've loved to watch in this drama but either way, the actors and actresses still gave Hari and Taemu justice, as well as the second lead couple. Was this review helpful to you?
