I loved this
I'm pretty easy to please, but I don't know why people are hating on this drama. I enjoyed every minute of it. The only thing I had against it was that a couple of times it sounded like an ad for LGBTQ rights, but given Thailand's official position on the subject, I understand why it was included in the script, and I support their efforts.I've enjoyed Zee's acting, but there were a few scenes where I'm pretty sure he wasn't acting. He could just be really good and get into his role, but you'll notice in some scenes that didn't involve crying that his nose still got red, and that is a natural response for him (as well as some people in general) when he is emotional. I'm not going to make assumptions on his feelings towards Nunew, as the fandom and shippers do enough of that. But for me, it added an air of realism to a drama I was already enjoying.
And, I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much from Nunew, so his acting and singing abilities really surprised me in a good way. I happen to love a drummer.....there wasn't enough of that.
Getting to see Boun and Prem was a bonus, because I truly enjoy their chemistry. They are one of my top fav couples.

My expectations were met!
Everything?! Was! So! Great!! The chemistry, the music, the acting! All 3 couples were amazing. Nuer and Syn were adorable. Hai Yi and Diao were questionable at times but turned out good. Kuea and Hai Lian were the best! Oh my God, they were incredible; their scenes! The communication, the consent, the Boun Prem comeo, FOEI!?!? And the humour! The pacing was excellent, the only thing I can compare it to would be 'HIStory 3; Trapped' but even then, Cutie Pie has its category because of the quick layers, like Trapped, but less action-packed? Cutie Pie flowed at a nice pace and had well-developed couples. The sexy scenes felt comfortable. Lian was caring and wasn't using sex as a way to be aggressive or dominant; it was a way to be closer to Kuea and show that Lian loves him. The way Kuea used his music as an outlet for what he was feeling and it felt genuine. It wasn't awkward to watch and gave more meaning to the show instead of feeling like a filler scene. Also, the cinematography was outstanding; some of those shots looked like they came from a Hollywood-level budget! I had a lot of expectations going into this and was so awed at how they were met and am so excited to see the BL world can evolve from college and lack of consent. I would highly recommend this drama. Was this review helpful to you?
(after rereading it not so) quick review
currently on episode 4, i dont really mean to write an accurate review of any sort, i just want to leave my impressions and what i think might be important for people who want to watch this drama. actually, it is overall pretty good: not cringe like other dramas (that are impossible to watch at times), the comedy is pretty enjoyable and i appreciated the actors' work too. i just think, as many other people, that the story/plot is quite questionable. they could have come up with different and better plot points to get the couples to spend time together, talk, etc. but even let alone the plot, the thing that bothered me the most is the justification of toxic relationships and lack of communication. like, it's honestly an above average drama from what i've seen so far and it could've been great if it wasn't for these things. and it wasn't even that bad from the beginning (you could expect a difficult situation that gets better later on) but like? they could have solved things? talked? communicated? instead of what they did, which didn't really solve the situation or just justified the toxic relationships further.is it necessary to *flirt* all of a sudden to solve major relationship problems and show your affection or desire to be better and establish a better (sorry for the repetition) relationship? absolutely not. also the motives of the two business friends (let's call them that)? not even lame, but they do not excuse their behaviour towards their partners and don't even make up for their actions. they just give false hope to thei partners for feelings they don't even have for them, and then come up with the strangest and most fucked up shit to show them affection? like i realise that, at least hian felt love (be it romantic or brotherly) before and that his feelings are even stronger (?) now, but you decide to express them by forcing the person you are supposed to love to do things against their will? wow. also everyone treating kuean like a baby as if he wasn't an adult pisses me off. he can and must take his own decisions. and honestly, what's with the cliché couple of the soft short submissive (abused) boy and the alpha (abusive) business man? what the fuck?
they just could have solved the situation in a different way. i was actually enjoying watching this drama, it's just that these things really piss me off, more so because i expected more from it (like when i watch one and i notice from the beginning how it has bad quality in a lot of things i don't expect much and nothing surprises me).
edit:
AND DO I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THE CASUAL MANIPULATION LIKE CMON WHAT IT THIS
edit n.2 while watching ep 5:
AM I LOOKING AT ABUSE RIGHT NOW??
edit 3:
the more i watch the lower my ratings are. i feel like they aren't as low as they should be because i've seen even *worse*.

Watch for yourself
First timer reviewer here! So… this has been out for some months now and I’m only now hearing about it.
In my honest opinion, I advise you to reserve judgment and watch it for yourself! Don’t rely too much on the negative reviews out there. I’ve read a lot of negative reviews and shied away from this BUT after seeing the chemistry between the main couples on YouTube, I decided to give it a go and it’s pretty good! I’ve gotten to episode 5 and so far, I’m not disappointed at all!

I have to get this out of my chest
I love CUTIE PIE
The cast are amazing, funny especially Syu and Foei, okay okay the rest of kuea friends too
Kuea is so adorable, his confused expressions are always cute not to talk of when he starts singing and he changes his complete innocent look. Lian is sooooo hot, he looks like a mafia that smirk makes him look sexy. He actually looks like a vampire. Jist finished watching episode 6 and i literally screamed at the final scene of episode 6, That was one hot and steamy make out
I really love the songs, especially episode 5 when Kuea sang in the club and Lian was watching without his knowledge. That song reminds me of Just friends in Bad buddy. Either way it was awesome
The only reason why i can rewatch is just the singing parts. Although the story plot is kinda weird and funny. It like reading a wattpad story with the tittle "in love with a Billionaire" or "My billionaire Fiance" something like that. Oh! Neur is actually very cute, I'm anticipating him and Syu
Can't wait for the next episode tho

Awesome
Really enjoying the unique storyline, love the drama and chemistry between each Cast member, Definitely not your normal BL drama, Love the diversity when an arranged marriage between two men Is widely excepted.. enjoying the music and the lyrics especially in the second episode. Anticipating the whole series. Having to wait seven days between each episode is hard, because I really want to see the interaction between all of the cast. Great acting So far at this point in the series…. So far this is going to be one of my most favorite BL dramas…..Was this review helpful to you?
Best of The Best Ever
The series feels so fresh, the plot, the characters, the script are really very good, it leaves viewers wanting to see more, it's fabulous! Finally started this after seeing a lot of good comments about this series and indeed I am impressed! This is just the part 1 of the pilot episode yet I feel so entertained already and I feel like this will be one of those rare times I already enjoy a show after seeing just one episode. Getting all excited and hooked with the mock trailer since last year and the wait for the official release were undoubtedly worth it.
Love the camera shots, color grading, and the editing verry good, the show is instantly set with a funny mood which I believe is the intention. Zee is so handshome, charming, cool (like a sugar daddy). Also, Nunew is so adorable. Can't wait to see more of him.

Toxic and disappointing, lacks storyline
I was so disappointed with this series... They were fishing for a storyline that wasn't there and it made 0 sense. Both couples are so toxic, you shouldn't be afraid of your partner, and afraid of what? As if being interested in music for example is a terrible thing. They're pretending like he's a serial kiler for god's sake. Them having an arranged marriage just makes no sense. So many secrets for no reason what so ever. They are adults and it doesn't make sense that these things can't be solved or communicated. I don't even want to waste my energy writing a complete review, just would not recommend. I couldn't even finish the whole show, I was nearly disgusted, bored, annoyed and so disappointed. The only thing I liked about it was the music. Was this review helpful to you?

Love it
I don’t get why everyone thinks this is a bad drama series like seriously I know everyone has a different choice but like I think it was really good . The story was nice and best of all the actors were the best . They made such a cute and nice couple . I love how they both have a chance to discover each other’s side . It like one of the best bl drama and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a hot drama series to watch. Like it’s so popular but still people are giving it a bad review . But to summarise it was a hot cliche drama . At first I was like no but after 2-3 episode I got into it .Was this review helpful to you?

don't go in with high expectations
I'm frankly surprised by the amount of negative reviews here. cutie pie is by no means a masterpiece but it's not an awful show? obviously we can all have our different opinions on it, it's not like life or death if we disagree on whether a series is good or not but imo it wasn't THAT bad.Cutie Pie has an interesting premise, but don't mistake that with the show really attempting anything groundbreaking in a way that Bad Buddy might've done.
it DOES do some things differently, like Kuea calling out his friends for making him uncomfortable when they make leery jokes about his sex life, him being firm with a romantic suitor who he's not interested in, and Kuea isn't really a blushing maiden with sex. All of these are refreshing, and I do wish that the show pushed more on this aspect of Kuea since I think it made the show fall flat since the beginning made it seem like it would go an interesting direction instead of where it actually ended up. where did Kuea's fire go? it seems to come and go a bit randomly.
the very blatant messaging about marriage equality? a bit sappy and cheesy but still cute (and a good message) regardless. Zee's chemistry with his partners still remain top tier, and I probably would've been a lot more annoyed by Lian if he was played by a worse actor who doesn't know how to soften all of his edges and flaws with that eye smoulder he doles out lol. NuNew is a brand new rookie actor and he did great for his first time acting in general, and in a main role? He did a much better job than anyone could've expected from him.
I did regardless start to get very annoyed with both of their characters by the end because of how dragged out the conflict was getting. It makes sense but it's still frustrating to watch. Just Talk!
The other side couples did a great job too, even where the plot/script failed them. I know that they didn't have the rights for YiDiao's book yet so they worked with the author so they wouldn't really spoil the novel or whatever, but what we got in the show was still....Weird. They should've cut their screentime even more to focus on NueaSyn if they were just gonna give YiDiao's storyline this odd writing.
TL;DR: good chemistry between all of the couples, conspicuous marriage equality messaging wrapped up in cliche romance tropes, and very very very pretty production. don't watch for the plot, because it has about as much depth as a kiddie pool

I think that 2022 is a good year for the BL history and cutie pie is one of those series that at least for me set a new standard. The story really teaches us to be ourselves and not hide who we really are.
Btw, even if you don't enjoy this one you won't be able to deny Poppy's amazingly weird character and his wonderful expressions. That alone should make you enjoy this series.
