I don’t get why everyone thinks this is a bad drama series like seriously I know everyone has a different choice but like I think it was really good . The story was nice and best of all the actors were the best . They made such a cute and nice couple . I love how they both have a chance to discover each other’s side . It like one of the best bl drama and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a hot drama series to watch. Like it’s so popular but still people are giving it a bad review . But to summarise it was a hot cliche drama . At first I was like no but after 2-3 episode I got into it .Was this review helpful to you?

don't go in with high expectations
I'm frankly surprised by the amount of negative reviews here. cutie pie is by no means a masterpiece but it's not an awful show? obviously we can all have our different opinions on it, it's not like life or death if we disagree on whether a series is good or not but imo it wasn't THAT bad.Cutie Pie has an interesting premise, but don't mistake that with the show really attempting anything groundbreaking in a way that Bad Buddy might've done.
it DOES do some things differently, like Kuea calling out his friends for making him uncomfortable when they make leery jokes about his sex life, him being firm with a romantic suitor who he's not interested in, and Kuea isn't really a blushing maiden with sex. All of these are refreshing, and I do wish that the show pushed more on this aspect of Kuea since I think it made the show fall flat since the beginning made it seem like it would go an interesting direction instead of where it actually ended up. where did Kuea's fire go? it seems to come and go a bit randomly.
the very blatant messaging about marriage equality? a bit sappy and cheesy but still cute (and a good message) regardless. Zee's chemistry with his partners still remain top tier, and I probably would've been a lot more annoyed by Lian if he was played by a worse actor who doesn't know how to soften all of his edges and flaws with that eye smoulder he doles out lol. NuNew is a brand new rookie actor and he did great for his first time acting in general, and in a main role? He did a much better job than anyone could've expected from him.
I did regardless start to get very annoyed with both of their characters by the end because of how dragged out the conflict was getting. It makes sense but it's still frustrating to watch. Just Talk!
The other side couples did a great job too, even where the plot/script failed them. I know that they didn't have the rights for YiDiao's book yet so they worked with the author so they wouldn't really spoil the novel or whatever, but what we got in the show was still....Weird. They should've cut their screentime even more to focus on NueaSyn if they were just gonna give YiDiao's storyline this odd writing.
TL;DR: good chemistry between all of the couples, conspicuous marriage equality messaging wrapped up in cliche romance tropes, and very very very pretty production. don't watch for the plot, because it has about as much depth as a kiddie pool

I think that 2022 is a good year for the BL history and cutie pie is one of those series that at least for me set a new standard. The story really teaches us to be ourselves and not hide who we really are.
Btw, even if you don't enjoy this one you won't be able to deny Poppy's amazingly weird character and his wonderful expressions. That alone should make you enjoy this series.

Loved it
I love the overall story, also the actors justified their characters. I don't understand why most of the review is about the dissatisfaction regarding the story plot. For me the story line was excellent, so much so that i want to read the book now. It was an awesome drama, and loved the entire cast. I binged watched the entire drama and finished it in just two days, now I regret doing so because i miss it and have nothing to watch currently. I literally became a fan of ZeeNew, they look so good together, i wish to see them as a couple again in another series. It will be a hit, just like Cutie Pie.Was this review helpful to you?
The BL drama that got me hooked
THIS IS THE BEST BL DRAMA FOR ME. This was actually my first BL series and I loved it. I loved all the cast and their acting is superb! I Started watching other BL dramas because of CUTIE PIE and now I cant stop watching them. This is a light hearted drama that can just make you smile while watching it. No heavy issues. I want something that would make me happy and kilig at the same time and this is it for me. I watched all the BL drama that is on the top lost here at mydramalist and other blogs. I liked them but I keep on rewarching CUTIE PIE. I'm a girl but I think I'm gay now lol. ZEE and NUNEW are so cute together. Please support and watch this. 😊🎉Was this review helpful to you?
Definitely A+ series
This review is to thank the entire production behind this series, p-Aof, p-Khla, BamBam, casting, and everyone. Thank you for being the bestselling novel into life. I started first few episode of this series just like all other Thai drama/series but ending is surprisingly different. Before Cutie Pie, there wasn’t that too many good drama to watch these days but CutiePie has raised the standard even higher… casting, soundtrack, cinematography is A+. GOOD JOBS!!!“Love is Human Right” and marriage equality… i hope this will happen soon too.

Something different.
Was looking forward to this BL and it did not let me down. You can see a lot was spent on this. It looks beautiful. I love the whole idea of the arranged marriage between 2 men so I am excited to see where it will go. The visuals (including the guys) are amazing as is the music. Some of the acting could be better here and there and I hope the 2 main older leads soften up soon enough cause as of now I want to slap them lol. But that's all part of the journey. I have watched all episodes, but before completing I had to come read the comments and reviews and I am speechless to read the negative comments towards Cutie Pie here. I see someone scored 1/10 for no typical reason, It almost feel like the people that are writing reviews are purposely bringing negative remarks to bring down the score. I am not from that Country but I am a fan of watching bL dramas especially from Asian. Zee & NuNew had a lot of chemistry onscreen. The story is about the two with the older making a promise to marry the youngest from his family but be by his side until he is of age then get married. They both had secrets about their lives and things started to pick up with more revealing half way through the series. Do not follow the negative comments here to decide on watching.

Croustillant mais plat, mais...
Voilà ! Je viens de me goinfrer Cutie Pie et me revoilà pour mon avis :Bon, clairement, je suis partagé.e mais plutôt que de faire des points négatifs et positifs, je préfère parler de différents points de la série, accrochez vous, on commence !
L'histoire :
Le principe de base de la série est simple : deux garçons de familles riches sont fiancées l'un à l'autre. Les deux familles se connaissent depuis des années mais celle de Hia Lian a dû beaucoup travailler pour se retrouver au même niveau que celle de Kuea. Ce qui fait de ce premier un bourreau de travail qui parait bien froid au premier abord. Quand à Kuea, il apparait à son futur mari comme l'héritier parfait mais derrière cette façade publique se cache un intrépide motard amateur de batterie et chanteur connu sous le nom de Kirin.
On a un second couple lead également dont l'histoire pourrait être intéressante, vu la façon dont on nous la tease mais en réalité, j'ai trouvé que l'intrigue retombait complètement à plat, quel dommage !
Vous le verrez, le thème principal de la série est basé sur la non-communication, jusque là rien de grave, mais le problème c'est que la production a décidé de trainer et de filer cette intrigue bien légère d'un bout à l'autre des 12 épisodes de la série, aboutissant à un effet de "beaucoup de drama pour pas grand chose".
Les personnages :
Je dois bien avouer qu'aucun acteur ne m'a paru mal jouer : Zee Pruk Panich, dans le rôle de Hia Lian, crève l'écran comme à son habitude, c'est vraiment un acteur qui maitrise son jeu et qui possède en plus un charisme de fou ! La belle surprise fut New Chawarin Perdpiriyawong qui joue Kuea, au début je me disais que son jeu était un peu inégal mais il s'est rapidement rattrapé pour nous offrir une performance impressionnante pour son inexpérience dans le milieu. De plus, il chante magnifiquement donnant à l'OST une place prépondérante dans la série, je pourrais les écouter en boucle car toutes ces chansons sont magnifiques !
Ils montrent une bonne alchimie à l'écran tout comme les autres couples que l'on peut y voir. On arrive d'ailleurs ici au POINT FORT de la série : les scènes croustillantes, alors les membres de la team "grimpette au rideau", vous en aurez pour votre appétit, croyez moi ! Ensuite, j'ai trouvé tout de même un peu dommage d'avoir des couples bien trop habituels avec le grand protecteur et son petit compagnon timide, heureusement, dans le second couple, Kon Diao ( Nat Natasitt Uareksit ) innove en devenant tout à coup acteur de la relation qu'il partage avec Hia Yi ( Max Saram Rujeerattanavorapam ). Bon, oui, Kuea aussi mais cela arrive tellement tard que ça passe presque inaperçu...
Le troisième couple est aussi extrêmement adorable et j'aurais aimé un développement plus important de leur histoire, mais peut-être dans un spin-off, qui sait ?
Le personnage de la gouvernante de Kuea, tata Ja, m'a bien fait rigoler même si on ne la voit que peu. Mais, celui qui vole la vedette à chacune de ses apparitions, c'est Le secrétaire de Hia Lian : Foei ( Poppy Ratchapong Anomakiti ), alors lui c'est LE comic-relief de la série ! Il m'a fait crever de rire !
J'ai aussi beaucoup aimé les interventions "religieuses" de Sinsamur ( Yim Pharinyakorn Khansawa ) et voir les autres membres du groupe lui donner la réplique sans faillir était très drôle.
enfin, une mention spéciale à la réaction de Nuchy ( Pure Purewarin Kosiriwalanon ) qui démonte Ton ( Tonnam Piamchon Damrongsunthornchai ) sur place pour sa remarque sexiste dans l'épisode 10, big up à elle, toutes les femmes aimeraient avoir autant de répondant à cette phrase !
La réalisation :
Alors, comme je l'ai dit plus haut, l'intrigue aurait pu être bien mieux ficelée (oui, les scénaristes c'est à vous que je m'adresse ! ), il y a d'autres manières de garder les spectateurs que de mettre des scènes HOT sans bosser le scénario derrière, la croustillance ne fait pas tout, il faut de la matière et en cela Cutie Pie ne restera clairement pas une référence.
D'un autre côté, la série aborde un thème super intéressant et super important mais qui arrive bien tard et n'est que survolé tout au long des épisodes : il nous donne en effet une merveilleuse définition du mariage, pas seulement comme une institution mais aussi comme la reconnaissance de l'amour qui peut lier deux personnes ensemble. On voit la revendication du mariage comme un droit fondamental qui devrait être accordé à tout couple qui s'aime sans distinction de genre, de situation sociale ou de hiérarchie.
Bilan :
J'ai pu voir que beaucoup de gens, soit aimaient la série, soit la détestaient, il n'y a pas de juste milieu. Moi je pense qu'il faut lui donner sa chance, même si on la regarde un peu comme un plaisir coupable au début, les thèmes qu'elle défend n'en sont pas moins profonds et importants. Les moments drôles sont justement placés et chaque personnage à droit à son temps d'acting ce qui nous permet de tous les apprécier à leur juste valeur.
En résumé : des scènes d'amour géniales, des relations mignonnes et une intrigue idiote, mais...

La mejor serie adaptada de una novela
Cutie Pie no es para todos los públicos, y no por las escenas que todos podemos pensar, si no por la propia historia que como su título ya indica, es una historia dulce, sin mucho drama, y eso no es para todos los gustos.Cutie Pie trata de una pareja que se conocen desde que eran niños y siempre han sabido que se iban a casar (aunque no les fuerzan, tienen opción de rechazar el matrimonio) pero que a medida que se hacen mayores esconden sus verdaderas personalidades para intentar encajar uno en la vida del otro.
Sin querer da muchos spoilers, Hia Lian trabaja duro desde que era un niño para poder encajar en la familia adinerada de su prometido y que no le juzguen, y Kuea intenta ocultar su verdadera identidad por la misma razón: encajar con lo impuesto por la sociedad y su propia familia (de forma indirecta) y ser el marido perfecto para el empresario en el que se ha convertido Lian. Sin embargo, ambos se dan cuenta de que eso no funcionará, y tendrán que descubrirse el uno al otro de nuevo si quieren que su matrimonio funcione.
Cierto es que ninguno de los dos hace las cosas demasiado bien y tienen muchos malentendidos pero, ¿ sería una buena serie sin esos malentendidos que enganchan a la audiencia? Ambos personajes cometen errores, pero también tienen una buena comunicación cuando realmente quieren sacar su relación adelante.
Sobre la pareja secundaria no hay mucho que decir, excepto que su historia avanza muy lentamente y está llena de secretos y remordimientos, y que ninguno sabe qué hacer con ello (sospecho que tendrán protagónico en una segunda temporada).
Yo que he leído la novela, solo puedo decir que es una adaptación extremadamente buena. Los actores parecen sacados de la propia novela y no sólo eso, si no que añade temas que en la novela no se tocan demasiado, o lo hacen sin profundizar.
En la serie se habla de los derechos de las personas LGTBIA+, no sólo una, sino varias veces, y sobre todo, sacando a relucir la falta de derechos que tienen las parejas homosexuales para poder casarse en Tailandia.
Se ha convertido en mi serie favorita sin duda alguna.
