YES, I CRIED.
Wanna cry unexpectedly? yes.Actually, I was spoiled of the storyline so I wasn't shocked anymore of what happened but still, I can't stop myself from crying. It's really different if someone left you without saying anything and because time doesn't stop for you, you just have to go on with life without them. This is a story that portrays how young people love. That not all the experience you had in love when you were young were naivety. I loved how the actors gave justice to the characters. It makes me want to experience that kind of love too. The cinematography is perfect too. Although the only thing I didn't like about the ending is that they didn't gave any details about how he dl3d but overall, I still loved it.

One of the best romantic movies
It's a high school love story. Heartwarming in the end. It shows the friendship of people. A really beautiful, cute, sweet, sad love story. It is not a romantic comedy type of movie. It shows the beauty and sadness of teenage love.It is one of the best romantic movies I have ever seen.

Just like the classic Kmovies
20th Century Girl (2022)This movie reminds me of classic Korean movies in the early 2000s like Ditto, The Classic, Lover's Concerto etc about friends, youth, falling in love, and sad endings. I kinda guessed that Bora got mixed up with who Hyunjin was, since she didnt have a picture and it was hard when there were no cellphone cameras back then. Watching the movie I thought Hyunjin dodnt look THAT handsome for Yeondoo to fall in love that quick and turns out I was right 🤣
I love the girls' friendship, they were willing to sacrifice or let go of love for the other person. My only comment is I wished they showed a little more of what really happened to Woonho, not just one scene with the younger brother. I thought if we were still in the 2000s we will get a full heartbreaking scene where he was supposed to fly to Seoul but had a car accident and they couldn't meet in the airport or a terminal illness he hid from Bora or any other tragic ending that will make people cry.

Why does he have to die , interesting storyline, great movie , I love it and I cried , but I just wish their love was happily ever after but he had to die and they didn’t show us how he died or even say what happened to him 🥲😭😭 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I wish he was lost or something and there’s a part two of him regaining his memory and not him dying just like that , what’s the point then 🤷🏽♀️Was this review helpful to you?
The worst romantic movie I ever seen

Predictable
This movies was really sweet to start off with, but took a turn to being predictable in the end...I’m tired of all these types of shows that have the viewer invested in a love story that has misunderstandings. Oh, and the usual female lead is too nice to tell her best friend she likes the same guy, so she sacrifices her feelings. these story lines do get kind of boring and so cliché.
There is no message to convey, just bringing the formula of teenage love story that full of misunderstanding in for the actors to play. They try to make a twist but it's a cliché twist, so it's not a twist in the end since audience can guess it right beforehand.
The acting was not bad, the music honestly cant even remember it.
Overall: I did find this movie extremely boring and so predictable, if you have 2hours to waste with really nothing to do then I guess go ahead and watch it.

I only have one question here. HOW DARE YOU TO WASTE SUCH A TALENT AS ROH YOON SEO?
🔸️For two hours I've been watching good actresses playing fake friendship, fake love, and the most unconvincing crying ever. If it's unconvincing, it has to be a comedy, but it's far from that. Even the male characters were hopelessly bland, targeting the female audience. And I know, that this is not the actors' fault but the screenwriter's because in Our Blues Roh YoonSeo had a really great performance.🔸️Seriously, guys, for how long are you going to make budget-safe and nostalgia-selling movies? I see you were influenced by 25 21, but the screenplay there was originally crafted. 20th Century didn't even bother to shoot a couple of frames on a real film camera.
You can't fake nostalgia. Periodt.

I cried my heart out and it was something that I never expected. The description should contain some information regarding it turning to a sad movie.. this can’t be a romcom!! They changed everything for me and it was something I didn’t wanted .. I am so upset with the ending.It could have been a happy ending and I was soooo hoping for it, if not then please give us some hints in the description so that people like me can avoid watching it.
The actors were so good .. their chemistry and acting was top notch no doubt in that.
All togethet if we leave the ending the movie was fantastic but still sad at many points.
If the writers wanted to give a sad ending then they should’ve atleast given us a reason for his death. It was so unfair for the watchers.
I so regret watching it because it made me sad without a warning at a time I didn’t wanted to be moreover I really wanted to watch these actors more and happy..feels like they wasted such a good opportunity :”(

It had potential but fell through
Ive watched a fair share of tragic romance movies, and i would say this movie falls under 'mediocre'. I think the acting was solid, but the plot was mediocre and had an unexpected twist that will make you question why it happened in the first place.Firslty, I couldnt seem to bond with the characters. There seemed to be a lack of proper development for most characters, or even if there was it just felt lackluster. I couldnt emphatise with any of the characters in this film, and its not like there wasnt any chance to empathise with them but i just couldn't feel strongly attached to any of them.
The romance between the two leads was also underwhelming. It was sweet and had potential to be developed even further if they had stuck to the whole first love/crush cliche but it had to end in the most tragic way possible which made me feel that the directors didnt give a chance for the romance to develop at all, and just ended it in the most sloppy way.
Tragic romances dont happen like magic. There's a build up to it -if you want the audience to feel sad for the character you need the audience to become emotionally attached to them. For this to happen, we need more development from this character, a bit more perspective into his/her life. When the ML died, it didnt make me feel sad, it made question why did he have to die. It was sudden and it felt forced.
And the ending where the brother invited her to an exhibition - this was so similiar to the japanese movie, Heavenly Forest. Even the artworks of the exhibition had to do with people - the resemblance was uncanny. But overall , the movie was ok. If you want something to kill time then this movie is for you.

Respect the Audience
When you offer a love story about two really sweet people who take care of others and are devoted to one another, you do not then tack on a deliberately hurtful ending without explaining anything at all. Nothing. We don’t know why it happened. We don’t know why the writer did it almost immediately, and we don’t know why his beloved never tried to find him, ask about him. For so many years……Nothing. Yet the couple the writer and crew taught us to love never would have done that to one another, nor would a good writer have done it to the audience who loved them.Was this review helpful to you?

Now I know, that the person who wrote that did not see this movie. It was such a beautiful story, i loved it really... but the ending still pisses me off. Oh no i'm not just heartbroken, I'm angry.
What writer in their right mind thinks it's ok to end a movie like this? To take away my warm cuddly feelings that they've been building for over an hour and just obliterate them. Why?
And shame on Netflix for getting my hopes up. They ought to fire the person who wrote that description.

I am crying and I know you are as well...
Watching this movie, was one of the best things I've done in my life. At first I was like, "what could possibly happen and ruin this relationship?", then her friend told her that the one she actually liked was him, Woon-Ho, out of all people. I was shocked.. I didn't think things would turn out like this. I still had hope tho, that Bo-Ra and Woon-Ho will be together in the end and after half an hour in the movie, he's 'gone' (meaning he weant to New Zealand) I was glad they didn't lose contact... for awhile at least.. who would've thought that she won't be hearing, seeing, talking to him, ever again.. who would've thought that meeting at the train stasion, would be the last time they see each other.. After his brother said he was gone, actually GONE this time, I couldn't help but tear up. Why? Why didn't fate want them to be together? Why break my heart and not let them have their 'happily ever after'? (sure it's a movie, but still..) I knew, ofc I knew that things won't go as I wanted them to, I knew that the movie was gonna be sad and that's why I watched it in the first place. But as I did, I totally forgot all about it, about that the movie was a Drama and that it wouldn't have a happy ending. I even thought that people were exaggerating about it being sad (until the last 25 minutes at least). And here I am, writing this review while trying not to cry once again. I won't say that I regreat watching this movie, bc I DEFINETLY don't, even if it'll leave me depressed for the rest of my life, I'll be rewatching it, when I have the need to feel happy, I'll be choosing this movie, over and over again. Well, at least until the last 20 minutes. I loved Woon-Ho's character so freaking much, he was THE STANDARD. And ofc we cannot forget about Bo-Ra, I don't know why, but for some reason she inspires me. She makes me want to become a better version of myself.
