An arrow of pain and cuteness that hits you right in the right spot.
This is a beautifully portrayed tearjerker, the kind that hits you right in the heart, or is it the stomach? This movie does an amazing job inviting the viewers in to the world of a child who neither can see or hear. A child otherwise abandoned (by death and choice), manage to find her way in to the heart of a man who was brought to her by some sad circumstances. Though they may look like a total missfitt these two complete each other perfectly showing us what a little tactile communication along with love and affection can do to change a persons way of living. While staying away from scenes that may dehumanize, exotify or give out the feel peoples misfortunes as inspiration. This movie feels real, and makes the viewers feel at home in a way.
The way this was shot really conveyed the emotions as well as the perspectives of both the leads. This movie addresses important issues while showering us with fluffy animals and cute smiles. This actress may not say much but boy/girl does she portray her role well, hats off to this kid and the directors. To be honest most of the movie I was going between a 8-9 but the way the end scene was shot pushed the score to a 10.
All in all definitely a must watch!

that little girl carried this whole movie! jingoo of course did a great job but the little smiles, the pouts and the tears of that baby were so PRECIOUS! I don't usually applaud the directors but the credit does go to the directors here too. they captured the emotions so well. whenever they zoomed in on her precious little hand trying to find her way, her little precious breathing sounds, the subtle signs of connection between them and the way she gradually opened up and they became a "family", it was all just so beautiful! TT_TT
these kinds of plots happened often. "cold" tortured guy who's after money and the precious lost baby and that can be a cheap plot move, but the vulnerability of them was so loud and clear here
Jae Shik had nothing in his life and Eun Hye had no one, though the money seemed to spark Jae Shik's motivation, from the moment he saw her it was like he saw himself, lost and alone that he couldn't leave her
the journey starts simple, he wants to pretend she's his daughter but the plot moves right away when he finds out she has nothing he can take so he again looks for another option which leads to a different tone of journey when they go to the country side to search for her mother's aunt, and that kinda turns into a cute little camping trip where they meet new people on the way
the movie did end with alot of questions unanswered, I mean he did kinda "kidnap" her, just because she had no one to report her didn't change it.
though they did show that scene with the dad that implied he really didn't want her and was "selling" her away to Jae Shik, I'm even surprised he could walk into the orphanage and give her away when he had no legal right on her.
in the end, with the subtle hints of romance with Yeon Joo and the youtube vid, I like to think their bond touched people and they help them out and they might even start a movement to get her illness more noticed. that scene where the center's principle was so detached on the subject of "she can take classes for deaf and blind courses" and he was like but she can't see or hear! and that lady didn't even try to come up with a solution (or ask when his relationship with her was xD)
this is the most wholesome movie I watched in a long time though❣ I went in with no expectations, I mean movies with kids are usually heartwarming and this was so emotinal TT_TT
all in all, I cried, I smiled and I CRIED at that ending scene ;( I wanted more
that little baby looks so much like Kim Hae Sook xD
my favorite parts were, the rain scene! how sweet was that!, when he grabbed her hand! when she smiled knowing his back home but then pouted when he didn't show her that he's home uwu and her crying scene was 100000%

?BLOOD DOESN'T MAKE FAMILY. LOVE DOES?
You’re So Precious To Me is a heartfelt story about a special connection between a child with deaf - blindness impairment and an adult in desperate need of money. Sometimes it's not always about blood, but a pure heart which makes some relationships lasts forever.
This movie reminded me of Helen Keller. Here this child, was also both deaf and blind, but unlike Helen Keller, her only family , her mother passed away and she didn't even knew what happened to her mother. And the man whose agency her mother worked came to his dead employee's house to collect some money, but found this child.
Then starts the journey of 2 strangers. How they became attached to each other. How they became each other's comforts, and at the end how they became each other's family.?
Jeong Seo Yeon, who played a seven-year-old Eun Hye, is impressive. Many of you know her from the famous 2020 kdrama (Flower of evil). She moved Jae Sik’s heart and deeply affected the audience with her outstanding acting talent. One will be amazed how wonderfully she acted that deaf - blind role at her age
This movie also shows the challenges faced by disabled people and how less opportunities are for them.
If you want to go for a heart warming, emotional sad kdrama. Go for it?

can't sleep? watch this
this was disappointing...i came here to have my heart shattered but i almost fell asleep instead
the idea is interesting and the story of eun hae and jae shik could've been brought to life if the writer was sure where they were going with for this movie. for over an hour long, i was told nothing much about the characters and the progression of the story was random. certain scenes felt unnecessary and did not make any difference to the story.
the only redeeming factor was eun hae. those interactions she had with jae shik were heartwarming and i couldn't help but be glued to the screen during those moments. the child that played eun hae will surely have a bright future as she knows how to deliever a powerful performance.
other than a few "awww"s, there wasn't really much to this movie that kept me engaged.

Such a beautiful heart moving movie
This movie was beautiful, it reminded me how God can send such blessings in your life and He will keep reminding you of your true worth. because just like a child, so honest and encouraging, he thought he was worthless but she said otherwise just like God, God looks at your heart, that why He tells us to be like children in His Word, the bible because they are so honest and look more on how you feel rather than how this world works, our Worth is God, not this judging world so anyone who needs to know I Love you, God Loves you so much he gave His only begotten son so you would not perish but have eternal life john 3:16I really recommend this movie its really good and I cried, I really believe you will too ^^

My high rating is for the child actress
I seldom watch movies, but I decided to watch this one because I read that it was a tearjerker. I geared myself up to be touched and to cry, but things are like that, the more you expect, the more something will not happen, in the end I cried only at the last scene, which if you read other reviews, was a climatic one indeed.Positives:
1. My high rating of 9/10 is for the child actress, Jung Seo Yeon, who acted really well, like really, really well in this movie. She was convincing as a visually handicapped given her relatively young age of 7. And the last scene had a close-up shot of her wailing, tears running down her cheeks, etc., crying so pitifully that my heart really cried with her. The male lead, Jin Goo, also did well. I had nothing to criticize about his acting in particular.
2. This movie brought attention to people who were both blind and deaf, double handicap and how to communicate with them.
3. I liked the way the director shot some of the scenes, especially that related to the little girl, some were shot from her angle, something different.
Negatives:
1. Maybe it was a movie, so everything was fast, the development of the relationship between the little girl and the male lead was too fast for me to feel much throughout the movie, except the last scene.
2. I did not quite understand what the male lead’s job was in the movie basically, but those scenes were not important because they did not contribute much to the story of him and the little girl. Again, if they were not important, they became fillers which could have been better replaced by more scenes of him and the little girl’s interactions.
All in all, I would recommend if you are looking for a tearjerker, it was touching, but somehow, I would have liked to see more interactions of the male lead and the little girl, a somewhat more gradual development of their relationship.

Very interesting story that will make you cry
I came upon this quite randomly and while seeing the main topic of this movie I decided to watch. The main plot is about a young kid who is both blind and deaf and an adult agent who takes care of her after her mother's death.
The first thing which I was interested in was how blind and deaf people even live? How they communicate? How they perceive the world around them? And it was really interesting to see lot of my questions being answered.
The kid actor Jung Seo Yeon playing the small Eun Hye was so good. Her performance was really top. You could easily believe she is blind and deaf. Also the main male character was played very well by Jin Goo. Their chemistry was something extra, almost like they were father and daughter.
I think the movie is really heartwarming and it will surely make you cry and sometimes it's just too cute, especially when Eun Hye is smiling. The only negative thing I can see is that the story was quite quick and it didn't tell us how some things continued or were solved in the end.
Watch if you are interested in how blind and deaf people can live their daily lives and if you want something to warm your heart to the core.

Beautiful story with amazing performance of the child actress
"You're So Precious To Me", also known as "My Lovely Angel", is a movie that tells a beautiful story of a relationship between a failed business owner and a blind and deaf 7-year-old girl. The girl is the daughter of one of his female staff who had died in an accident (most of his staff are mainly female anyway, I guess it's due to the nature of the business, which was not explored in depth). When he came to the staff's apartment to try to recover the deceased staff's debt, he encountered the girl.To the apartment's landlord, he pretended to be the girl's dad so he could act as her guardian and recover the deposit for the apartment. He moved in and while initially he was indifferent towards the girl, eventually he had to take care of her and that's where the bonding started. When he found out that the bank would confiscate the apartment (including the deposit), he took the girl to a countryside town to find an aunt who was in debt with the girl's deceased mom to see if he could recover the money.
They met a nice family of watermelon farmers (despite having to steal one of their watermelons at first and getting caught by the CCTV, lol). He couldn't find the "aunt" since she might be just a scammer. His creditor managed to find him and demand him to pay off all the debts. He tried to return the girl to her biological father but the father didn't want to take her. Deciding that it would be better for the girl to live under the social services' care instead of staying with her, he brought the girl to an orphanage, although in the end, he changed his mind.
The acting performance of the actor Jin Goo and especially the child actress Jung Seo Yeon is amazing. Without even talking, the child actress can portray a blind and deaf girl perfectly using her body gestures and especially her facial expressions. It's amazing considering that the child actress was only 6-7 years old during filming. With such a brilliant acting performance and her cute and adorable face, we can't help but cry when she cries, and smile when she smiles or laughs.
There are some minor plot holes in the story, but they are not too significant and are paid off by the stellar performance of the actor and the child actress. The build-up of their chemistry and bonding from just an indifferent guy who wants to recover money to a paternal father-daughter affection is heartwarming. The ending scene where the girl cried when he was gone (albeit for just a while) and when he came back to comfort her, and eventually told her (using the finger gestures language on her palm) that she's her dad now, made me cry.
I agree that the ending is indeed a bit too open, while it seems that he changed his mind and decided to take her, we do not know how he would be able to raise the girl eventually, considering that he doesn't have any money and has a lot of debts. Not too sure if it's being done to pave the way for a sequel.
Overall, a very touching and heartwarming movie. Highly recommended!

Very Precious ... Indeed!
WARNING... HAVE TISSUES READY!!!I honestly didn't think this was going to be one of those movies that will tear you up inside.
This Little Actress Jung Seo Yeon was Incredibly Outstanding and honestly deserves the Best Actress Award for the character that she fully embraced. I have to admit this little girl stole the show... she pulled me in and I couldn't or wouldn't let go.
The pairing of the leading actor and this little girl radiated warmth in everything Precious when trying to understand the unknown and grow with the unfamiliar. This Actor (Jin Goo) pulled it off completely.
I rarely ... RARELY watch movies.. and when I do, I mostly likely won't rate them.
HOWEVER... this deserves a 10 Star all around.
Beautiful, Outstanding, Heartwarming, Heartbreaking & an Incredible Script.

A beautiful, heart-warming, found-family movie
Wow. It was an amazing movie that really hits deep. It had a found-family element and a beautiful relationship between parents and children that is hard to find in other dramas/movies.Even though the father is a money hungry swindler, it is really cool seeing the dynamic shift in him. Without giving too many spoilers, he learns what it’s like to have a family. The bittersweet aspects of the movie coincided with the beautiful cinematography. For anyone who wants a heart-warming film to watch, this is the one.
I 100% recommend it!

Limitations Can Be Overcome!
14/01/2023This is a story about a 30 something year old male with heavy debts that unexpectedly and quite unintentionally takes on the responsibility of a blind and deaf 7 yr old girl when her mother, an employee of his, dies suddenly in a freak accident.
He is only there really to get back the money that the deceased owes him through her apartment deposit so has to pose as the child's father temporarily.
However, what starts as an inconvenience eventually leads to a deeper relationship between the two when he actually starts to pay attention to her with patience, time and effort that leads her to thrive under his care, experience new things and quickly become emotionally attached to him. Her mother only took care of her basic needs really, but left her mostly alone in the apartment like a neglected little animal.
In part, this story addresses the lack of care and facilities in place for those born like this child because when he went to check out this institute for the deaf and blind she could only be placed under one category which I think was for those that are deaf. So, sign language was the only option opened to her, but when he challenged the educator on it it made no difference.
He more or less asked: " How can she learn sign language if she can't see?'.
Quite quickly he works out a way to teach her how to communicate with him so for the first time in her life she is able to learn what objects are by spelling letters out on her or his hand and she is no longer limited by her impairments.
As viewers we see her transform from a neglected unkempt child to one that is happy, taken care of and carefree.
It does get a bit messy because of him having debts and having to face the reality of taking care of her at the same time as being chased by his creditors no end - so it isn't a completely happy story.
What I will say is that it is a brilliant heartfelt story and one that will likely make you shed a tear or two.
The child actor in this is believable and acted her part to a tee. Faultless really. I have actually gone back to watch it again and replay certain memorable parts because it is that good.
If you are in the mood for a good crying session then don't hesitate to watch this one!
Ps Don't forget to have a box of tissues handy.

Was this review helpful to you?
