School of Violence
Uh. These high schoolers sure are violent. I never read the comic book, and I was intrigued and invested in the story for the first half of the season. But when everything switched, the show felt off-balance. There were no more good guys left — just pure madness.Maybe the production overexaggerated, but every time they fight, it feels like the students literally want to kill each other. And then, miraculously, everyone recovers quickly with only a bruise or two.
And Si-eun, our main hero... He seems intelligent in the first episodes, but his reasoning becomes more and more sinister as the story develops. Some may argue that he didn’t do anything wrong, but I’d say he did many wrong things. Unfortunately, by the end, I stopped caring about him. In fact, I lost interest in watching Season 2.

Weak Hero Class 1 proves that strength comes in many forms — sometimes, the sharpest mind is the strongest weapon.
It’s a dark, emotional ride that lingers long after the final episode. 💥

binge-worthy.
went into this after seeing edit after edit on insta. it was SO GOOD. i was hooked from the first episode.the story is kinda predictable but overall i really enjoyed it. majority of the time i kept saying “these are highschoolers” bc like what are they doing in korean highschool LMAO. crazy but great.
the acting was AMAZING. they did so well with getting the audience to feel their emotions. i sobbed more than i thought i would. i also developed a crush on geom seongje.. amazing casting for the villains overall tbh.
the music i don’t really remember icl. i do think im gonna rewatch this soon tho. this might just be in my top 3 dramas!

Not for the faint of heart
😱😱😱 When I tell you I nearly got a heart attack every time our ML went berserk, it was done so cleverly that it was ultra believable. My heart was pumping so hard and I was panicking so hard in my native tongue. My eyes started to well up when Soo Ho went down. He so didn't deserve what he got, he was only trying to be helpful and looking out for his friends.
After Beom Seok almost killed a person I was glad that he got beaten up by the assemblyman even though I was sad about it before s*** hit the fan. Also, are those beatings even a solution, he got used to it anyways, which begs the questions are beatings even an effective way of getting a revenge against him.
In the end I have a confession to make, I didn't watch all of the episodes completely, I skipped through our guys getting the raw end of the deal it was just way too intense for me, hence the title of this review. For the people who don't get too invested in the characters you should have no problem watching this all the way through but I just couldn't handle the emotional wreckage.
This was only 8x45min episodes it would be so much harder to bear if it were the full Korean format.

people can go anytime in your life but u still have to keep going
these series needs to be watched carefully, u can't watch it like white noise or some random thing playing. u gotta set and watch this in peace.thought don't watch it if your in a sad mood coz u don't know what to expect. best to watch if u have all the time in the world just to spend watching and definitely have to eat ramen or some Japanese food. I think it's better to watch alone then with friends, coz if it's a group of friends it would be distractingdistracting. I definitely would watch this again

e agr eu viciei no doramakkk

A gut-wrenching youth drama! The "Weak Hero" trope done right!
An excellent drama carried by brilliant actors with such a good and realistic acting. The story is portraying the strong friendship between young people confronted with the violence of the world around them...whether at school or in their entourage. The episodes are short (about 40 minutes) and fast-paced; and yet at the heart of the action are more contemplative moments, full of sincerity with a sensitive OST giving an almost "old-school" feel. The brutal scenes are filmed skilfully and seamlessly, the strong images leave an impression of discomfort, the story is simply gut-wrenching: be prepared for a turmoil of emotions!
The trope of the hero who gets his ass kicked, the narrative of the weak who confronts the bullies, and who gets up to face adversity are here highlighted in a masterful and credible way. The spectator can only tense up in the face of certain situations and fears (often rightly) for the safety of the protagonists. The uncertainty regarding the survival of these characters to whom the viewer has become attached is one of the greatest strength of this show.
I would recommend this to people who like to read GTO or The breaker, love well-built youth drama and that are not triggered by topics such as bullying, domestic abuse and scenes of exacerbated violence.

INTENSE AND DAMN GOOD
I generally watch k-dramas because they have a way of easing the viewer into topics, even though the topics dealt with in the shows might be intense and serious. This one does nothing of that sort, and it just continues to hit you in the face (in a very good way). And it's kudos to the actors, the director, and the writer for that. This has been an intense watch right from episode 1. The topics dealt with in this series are intense (bullying, drug abuse, parental abuse etc), but that does not mean that the show gets boring. It is the writer's credit for keeping the audience glued to the story despite having a pretty dark and gloomy setup, right from the get go. We have the protagonist, Yeom Si-eun, who is the topper of his class, but a loner; there's Ahn Soo-ho, who's always asleep in class, but the chirpiest (of the 3); and there's the newcomer Oh In-beom, who changed schools because he was bullied in his old school. The three become fast friends, and the rest of the drama is the story of their friendship. The first few episodes kinda ease you into watching the drama for the characters. The acting of all the characters are just top notch, each one packs a punch in their own ways. Anything more might appear as a spoiler, so this is all there is to it.All that I can say about this drama is, the drama blurb is quite misleading. The story takes its own turns and gut punches you in its own ways. Was it a satisfying watch? Nope. Was it a quality watch? Fuck yes, absolutely. I am extremely glad that the director did not succumb to the demands of the formulaic high school drama, and stayed true to the characters till the very end. Kudos for having the courage to do that.
Overall, a 10/10.

Okay, maybe season 2 might top it off?
I recently watched weak hero class 1 and I have to say, it had so much potential. The acting and emotions portrayed in this drama were exceptional, and every character was well-developed and easy to love. The show had a great concept, and it was executed brilliantly. However, I was left disappointed with the ending. Despite this, I'm hoping for a season 2 as I can't wait to see what happens next. The show's ability to capture the raw emotions of each character is truly remarkable..The drama was a rollercoaster of emotions, with moments of laughter and tears. Overall, this show is a promising drama that leaves you wanting more. If you're looking for a drama that will make you laugh, cry, and feel all the emotions in between, this drama might be for you.Questa recensione ti è stata utile?
So Glad I Finally Watched This!!
i usually don’t watch anything that’s really popular, but I took a chance with this drama. as someone who strongly believes that bullies deserve Hell, this was right up my alley. I was so invested from the first episode, it’s such a great show!! personally, I don’t think the three main leads should’ve ever been friends because of all the dissonance in their friendship, but somehow they did their best to make it work. my heart goes out to Si-eun, because of all the chaos that happens in his life. beautiful drama…rewatching:
bullies are disgusting, pathetic degenerates that deserve a fate worse then death.
Not for nothing, but in the beginning, Ahn
Su-Ho got on my fucking nerve.
