The growth. The realizations. The love. The sacrifices. The friendship. The brotherhood. The love for the sport. This series tackled so much and was able to give justice to everything.From the love of the sport billiards. To the family and brotherhood/sisterhood built from the sport as well. The story perfectly woved all these together.
And can I just gush at the level of whipped the male main character is from the get go? The weekend 14hr commute just to spend a couple of moments with her- and this is just a couple of weeks after they’ve met. His love for food and his reasoning for it and why he sees that as a perfect way to bond. It’s just so heartwarming!
I also want to give props to the honest and reliable bond that both main characters have with each other. It isn’t flashy. BUT it is the kind that feels home. Their relationship feels like the warm cup you need during winter. The blanket you need at night. It honestly just feels like the perfect company you need on any season in your life- it feels like that because it’s exactly the way they also portrayed it!
The romance was alrady top notched. Definitely 100/100! Adding the brotherhood, the supportive and loving family, this just made this series a billion times better.
The brotherhood itself needs its own paragraph because his friends never gave up on him. Even when they are on opposing teams or cities represented they both still made a truce to make sure that their long time friend was/is okay. They made sure he goes back to where he truly belongs. I mean that kind of bond and love is just insanely heartwarming! His bestfriend even went and lived to a different country just to be with him- that kind of loyalty is on a different level! This series is just so beautiful! It makes me want to tear up nonstop!
Honestly, to anyone who’ll ever read this. Watch it. It’s such a healing show.
PS. The music is also so freaking fantastic I need it as my ringing tone!

Boring and Repetive
The scenery was beautiful but this story could have been compressed as there were too many aimless scenes of ML pursuing FL and she escaping into the bathroom. While the ML does conquers his past, I found his over obsession in pleasing the FL off putting because all the FL ever did was simper. She may have inspired him to return to his craft/passion but I found little reciprocity in any grand gestures by FL. Worse 5 years later she is still the same princess while he continues to surprise her with romantic gestures. Rinse wash repeat. I also found their love scenes very awkward and mechanical. There was not one passionate kiss in 30 episodes without her turning her head and burying it into his shoulder. It is hard to believe they had sex along with a pregnancy scare. LOLL Slow burn, this did not even ignite.Finally, if it is to be a 30 episode series then the other secondary ML and FL could have been explored. Instead we are left with no resolution or understanding of their path forward if any.

The Best Series I've Watched in Years
Wow, just wow. I'm so emotional 😢 right now. This was an excellent series. The actors, the script, the locations, everything was beautiful. Episodes 24 and 30 literally had me crying 😢. Great show. I'm new to these dramas, but this one is on my top 5 so far.💙💙 The Lead actors did their thing. This was an emotional Rollercoaster. I can't tell you, in my 66 years of life, that this isn't in my 66 years of life, have i seen such excellent and believable acting. Kudos to you and all my Chinese brothers and sisters. A Captivating Romance Drama!
I recently stumbled upon a drama that completely captured my heart and soul. From the moment I hit play, I was hooked and couldn't stop watching until the very end. This drama was an emotional rollercoaster filled with love, heartbreak, and everything in between. It left me with a bittersweet feeling that made me want to rewatch it over and over again.The writers, producers, and entire cast of this drama deserve a standing ovation for their incredible work. They brought to life a beautiful romance story that had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Their attention to detail and dedication to their craft was evident in every scene.
One of the things that stood out to me the most was the stunning cinematography. The snowy winter setting in Helsinki, Finland, was breathtaking and added an extra layer of magic to the love story. As the drama transitioned to Suzhou, China, the beautiful scenery continued to amaze me. It's no wonder that this drama has 9.5/10.0 rating, which I believed should've been a "10" but it is being hailed as one of China's best romance dramas for 2024.
But what truly made this drama shine was the chemistry between the two lead actors, Lei Wu and Zhao Jin Mai. They were perfectly matched and their on-screen chemistry was undeniable. I found myself rooting for their characters' love story and completely invested in their relationship.
In fact, I was so captivated by their chemistry that I found myself wishing for more collaborations between them in the future. They truly brought their characters to life and made me believe in their love.
But it wasn't just the two leads that stole the show. The entire cast was simply amazing. Each actor portrayed their character with such depth and emotion that it felt like I was watching real people going through real struggles. And that's exactly what this drama was about - the struggles of love and life.
As much as this drama was a beautiful love story, it also delved into the story of Billiards, with deeper themes such as defeat, rejection, sickness, death, and grieving. It showed the raw and vulnerable side of love and the sacrifices that come with it. It made me cry, laugh, and even feel upset at times, but that was the beauty of it. It was a rollercoaster of emotions that left a lasting impact on me.
Moreover, this drama also highlighted the importance of team spirit and togetherness. The characters faced numerous challenges, but they were able to overcome them with the support of each other. It was heartwarming to see how they came together and stood by each other's side through thick and thin.
I must admit, I was disappointed when I realized that this drama was only 30 episodes long. I could have easily watched 45 episodes and still not get enough of it. That's how much I loved it. I wanted more of these characters and their journey together.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a drama that will make you feel all kinds of emotions and leave a lasting impression on you, then this is a must-watch for 2024. The beautiful romance story combined with stellar performances by the cast makes it a must-see for any drama lover. So take a bow, writers, producers, and actors - you have truly created something special with this drama. I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us in the future.

Until I met you, amidst a snowstorm of love
Honestly I dislike long dramas, but this one, was too lovely, too fluffy, too precious to not finish. Every moment, every little thing shown was close to my heart and I felt it, every single time. I've seen people complain about Jinmai being shy around Leo even after dating for 2 yrs, but see, a person in love will know it better, if you love someone in a proper way, they'll make you feel flustered with a heart fluttering in your chest every day, they'll never cease to make you fall in love with them everyday. Skinship is not the only form of love and it's high time these new drama viewers accept that. For me, Yin Guo had the most realistic and relatable reactions to Yiyang's portrayal of love. Blushing and getting flustered everytime their hand touches, or shying away from PDA. That's what people in love for the first time do. Now, coming to Jiang Yang and Meng Xiaodong. My lord, they portrayed healthy sportsmanship like nobody else. Always feeling inferior to Yiyang's talent and vigour, Xiaodong never EVER let it come in between their friendship and brotherhood, and even after being nemesis with Jiang Yang, he didn't turn away when it was the matter of bringing Yiyang back to the field. They're by far the best examples of brotherhood in dramas. Then, Yin Guo's mom, Wu Qian, at first I thought that she'll be a bitchy mom like the rest but naah! She's the sort out and cool mom type. Really elevated my expectations. Every single character was chef's kiss, beautifully curated. 100% recommended.Was this review helpful to you?
Fantastic C drama
I absolutely loved this show. The two leads are terrific and their chemistry is so good I wondered if the actors would fall in love with each other!It's quite slow paced, which I like, and the production value is about as high as I'm ever seen in a C drama. It's really well done.
The only slight negative is the acting and dubbing of some of the Finnish characters, but all the Chinese cast are great.
Overall this is just a really sweet story of love and redemption. Highly recommended

Perfect love story and very affectionate and romantic
I love, love and so love this ml & fl pairing. They already need another romantic drama together. Kudos to the director , producers & writers & cast. Everyone played a significant role but the lead’s chemistry was breathtaking , the music and scenery was captivating…. I already as of February 15 2025 have rewatched this drama over 4 times… I love the lead’s individual previous dramas. They are attractive and strong actors but pairing them together was genius. ML portrayal of Lin was so natural and real as well as FL portrayal of Yin Guo is so beautifully done. This drama is so good that you don’t want it to end . Lin falls in love at first site with Yin Guo and strategies ways to see her while at the same time helping her and her cousin in a foreign country. He is 27 actually meeting her around his birthday . He he so captivated by her and fines that they have 9 ball and snookers in common though he hasn’t played professionally in years nor does he immediately let her know about his pass. FL helps him heal from the past and fall in love fast. Their love is a fated love that others observe and is in awe of their deep feelings for each other even when they start a long distance relationship. Lin make plans to join the professional snooker competition again so he can match Yin Guo and be worthy of her and also redeem himself from pass mistakes that includes her mom. Lin is a rare talent and so is Yin Guo is is younger than him and beautiful with a shy and innocent personality but strong willed. Lin and Yin gain support from others to help them win over Yin mother’s approval over time. I feel good and smile every time I watch this drama. It is definitely a feel good , swoon worthy romance drama. Beautiful affectionate hugs & kisses with real relationships issues. The pursuers are dealt with up front instead of dragging a wasting valuable lead couple screen time. the best cdrama that i watched so far
the story, visual, cinematography, chemistry, ost, acting, etc. all of them was so perfect 💯💯💯 so far, this is the first cdrama that i watched many times. there aren't many good modern cdramas like this, i mean they often talk like kids but not with AASOL.You must watch this cdrama.
Even though the story is not heavy, i mean .. there is very little conflict, for some reason this drama is very addictive and makes me want to watch it over and over again.
the concept of the drama is modern and classic. that's why the storyline in the drama is slow.
This drama is the definition of the word 'everything is beautiful'. From its romantic story, to its beautiful scenery (even every scene is so beautiful that I can make it my wallpaper haha), even many romantic scenes in the drama are not common, I mean they (aasol team) are very good at making those sweet scenes. the words in the script are also very good OMG!! i love the scene + lines when linyiyang confesses his feelings to yinguo. it was very tense and quiet. and I love the line after they see the stars. This drama truly defines the meaning of the words 'every scene is beautiful'.

WHY THE HELL THERE ARE ONLY 30 EPISODES?
Don't know where to start, Guys this drama is probably the best ever c-drama to be released in the year 2024!Don't ever miss this drama or you gonna regret it!Also this drama is not meant for the ones whom expects more engaging and crisp story or some revenge plot or two guys chasing after the girl or the vice versa or some business plot!
Eventhough it also involves sports plot, but it does not completely revolve around it!Infact it only acts a bridge for the lead pair!
Then, what can u expect from this drama?
1)FIRST AND FOREMOST IS UNDOUBTEDLY.........."HAPPY ENDING"!
2)NO ANNOYING SECOND LEADS CHASING AFTER THE MAIN LEAD COUPLES!
3)NOT JUST THE LEAD COUPLES BUT EVERY CHARACTER IN THIS DRAMA ARE GREEN FLAGS!SAY FOR e.g FL'S brother
4)CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE LEAD COUPLES IS MIND BOGGLING
5)OFCOURSE CINEMATOGRAPHY AND OST ARE OFF THE CHARTS!
6)AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS "NO UNNECESSARY BREAKUP"
7)INFACT IN THE COMPLETE SERIES, THERE IS ONLY ONE MISUNDERSTANDING SCENE!BUT THE BEST PART IS IT IS RESOLVED MORE QUICKLY
Does that means it has no negatives?
1)Eventhough it is a sports related drama, after completing it only thing that strikes to me it is more of a romance genre!Director should have given much more importance to the sports plot!
2)Director should have given much more screenspace for the second lead couple!It doesn't mean the main lead couples are boring, however second lead couples story is yet to be finished!Probably Director may have other plans for the second lead pair!
3)PROBABLY THIS IS THE ONLY MAJOR NEGATIVE THAT MANY OF THE FELLOW REVIEWERS ALSO GONNA AGREE:

OMG THIS DRAMA WAS SO GOOD. I LOVED IT SO MUCH THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE ML AND FL WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD. IVE REWATCHED THIS SO MANY TIMES. I LOVE IT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO WATCH IT.They did a great job selecting the cast. Everyone made an impact and it made this drama stand out much more. I can’t put into words how much I love this drama.
