Seo Joon is just too good to be true - i don't…

Seo Joon is just too good to be true - i don't know any person that would keep getting insulted, verbally abused n he still not only coming back for more, but tries to help out the person treating him like dirt - this toxic, so freaking bad idk how this a romance. this aint love, not the healthy kind, that we should be rooting for. ********************************************************Ji Woo is beyond despicable, for how he is treating Seo Joon, he aint justified in his hate / anger. what he want from Seo Joon(?) that he stay at home n worship the ground he walks on?!? the fact Seo Joon even offered to change for him, made me see red - like r u freakin serious >﹏< WHY oh WHY would u even suggest that?!? don't u have any pride left?!? n until the end, he there getting an emotional beat-down, this isn't sacrificing for love, sorry ( ˘︹˘ ) this just an emotional masochist - like an addict that can't quit his drug of choice, even though he knows it is destroying him - Seo Joon needs rehab `(*>﹏<*)′ ***************************************************************************************************************************************************seriously lost for words at this "Untold Story" not romance, more horror ¯\(°_o)/¯(ノω<。)ノ

I prefer this realistic way of storytelling…

I prefer this realistic way of storytelling over some over-romanticized love stories that are pushy and all over the place. However, this sequel was really an agonizing one. Especially seeing Seo Jun's great efforts and sacrifice just to save their relationship. As well as Han Ji Woo hating himself for his own behavior. There's too many things left unexplained and I'm all ears and eyes for them. That rare glimpse of Kang Seo Jun's smile when they manage to pursue Jiwoo's approval to guest on a show. Give this man his medal for being the most loving person right now.

Is it doomed?

It’s starting to feel like he really do not want him anymore. Seems like the only thing consistent with Ji Woo. But why did he kiss him? Viewers are getting mixed signal. With his consistency in not liking him adding his statement he was never happy with him, it’s heartbreaking. Then the ex gf now also trying to win him back and J Woo seems to treat her way better. I’m fearing the worst finale but still hoping it doesn’t go that way.

I’m not sure what to make of this episode…

This episode showcases HJW and KSJ arguing, of which the conclusion led to: HJW opening up about how he (admits) that he was the problem; the main reason why he left was because of him. KSJ accurately describes his self-centred nature, and is extremely frank about it during the confrontation.
<>
I particularly enjoyed the acting in this episode—everything felt real & genuine, not forced. At the end of the quarrel, they both acknowledge they “do not understand” each other; which may be true to some extent, but the plot flow is not adequate for me to make anything of this statement, hence I shall not comment much on it.
<>
Moving forward, HJW proclaims he was “lonely” in the relationship, probably having not gotten enough attention due to KSJ’s busy actor schedule. However, the drama also explains that KSJ deeply sacrificed for HJW (going to him on his birthday instead of attending a birthday party, even driving back 1h30mins just for a 2h rest for HJW before he has to go for his next shoot again), which illustrate the idea of how KSJ has this deep and pure puppy love for HJW. Notwithstanding, this does not flow with the “lonely” argument that HJW mentions of, and it is rather confusing to me. Does he want more attention and love from KSJ…? Even when he is not explicitly reciprocating (his love)? It’s hard to pinpoint HJW as he is a complex character, hard for me as a viewer to make of; and it is the drama’s duty to make characterisation clear for the viewers. Hence, I definitely had to take down some points for this.
<>
Moreover, I did not thoroughly fancy the portion where the director and writers try to make sense of HJW’s behaviour and painting it off as a “bad childhood experience/trauma”. To me, it is no excuse to justify one’s behaviour—as I do see people with trauma from their parents still behaving appropriately in society, some even going to the extent of lending a helping hand when in need. Not that HJW does not lend a helping hand, but his sucky attitude towards KSJ is largely unacceptable and at times, infuriating as a viewer. The focus of the episode has entirely shifted, which makes me saddened as I am now seeking ways to justify this drama’s scoring. What seemed to be a 9/10 drama is now beginning to look quite like a 7-8/10.
<>
Though, I particularly liked the scriptwriting of this episode too (other than acting). Mr Kim, KSJ’s manager/boss/honestlywhateverroleheplays, is rather wise, giving KSJ truth and only the truth—that his effort appears to be futile, and that he should leave this relationship especially if it is such a toxic one as depicted in the drama itself. To add on, I could see some chemistry in this episode though. For instance, the restaurant’s name is further emphasised that HJW is “waiting for KSJ” (supposedly, and this is how I interpret it since KSJ thinks about it for awhile before he is interrupted). Hopefully this naming of his restaurant will be explained in the next few episodes, or the effort in placing emphasis on the naming would all come to naught.Last of all, HJW also proceeds to start giving KSJ some advice such as “don’t be too friendly to the villagers… no harm in being careful” which all tell me that he struggles with trying to push for ways to express his love, and does it through little instructions like these. I do find it a bit too late, unfortunately.
<>
Last of all, the ending to this episode was so abrupt. The ex girlfriend and HJW were talking, and the conclusion KSJ makes is that “he has been through tougher pain” ( than his current one with HJW). What on earth are the writers thinking? The conclusion should have been: Perhaps it is time to sympathise with HJW for he had such a painful relationship with trauma that he brought on to the relationship with KSJ, NOT the fact that he has been through tougher pain so that his own toxic love is disregarded for. The writers should all the more realise that KSJ needs to act as a mediator; to tell HJW what and how he should behave before he spirals out of control with his nonchalant behaviour. Also, the whole talk made me feel pissed off for KSJ, but I didn’t deduct points for my personal feelings.
<>
Overall, this episode was not my cup of tea. It only produced even more questions, but with no answers for them. It is hoped that the drama stops narrating and inducing suspense by getting on to the actual issue of the drama: their love, and why/why not they fit one another. Overall, it gets a 7/10 for me. It falls below the average as there were many scenes that did not have explicit, clear links to the plot digression.

ji woo. HIM.

ji woo hun.. this a you problem.. he's so in denial and indecisive towards his own self.. i mean i get it he got traumas from his parents passing away but deal and own up with clear explanation of everything, it's quite frustrating to see him struggling communicating his feelings to seo joon but it's not when it comes to sung yoon? n also the fucking KISS r we just gonna forget that it happened.. so sick n twisted n zany.

Wanna get real? Sure, here it is

This is exhausting episode. I cannot stand for Ji Woo's reasoning. Even though he might have a history of his baggage transforming him as it is now, it still cannot justify his behavior towards Seo Joon. Their fight is not a type of healthy fight. Ji Woo is clearly not ready for a relationship with his passive-aggressiveness. He threw his year with Seo Joon so easy, whining about his side of the story. I am not expecting them to be together by the end of this story. For whatever reason, I am not a fan of this type of behavior and reasoning for hurting a significant one when as adults, you can just sit and talk together face to face about the issues. If they cannot communicate when there is no barrier (such as no phone or whatever), I doubt they have true love. So rather than push it, Seo Joon should just leave Ji Woo. If Ji Woo cannot resolve his problem and give effort like Seo Joon's done to work on their relationship, then, no need to be together. Since this series seems to get real, so beat it, get real. No real-life scenario in a gay couple will survive in type of setting. Seo Joon can get another man easily, while Ji Woo gets married to a woman and has a fake life.

No couple would survive this

After what happened and after what was said it does not make sense if they happen to be together. No real-life couple would survive in this type of atmosphere. I can sadly say that they lost me in this episode. Whatever they do after this will be just to make up for this. They showed us just one side of their story (KSJ) with all that flashbacks but honestly I don’t really care to see HJW side because what he said (and did’t) in this episode is not possible to be understood regardless of what happened in the past. A person who loves does not do this. I can understand that I don’t know much about K-culture and the culture of self pride and social classes in Korea but Love is love wherever the place and I can not for the life of me comprehend if they try to justify this line of story. If I was KSJ I can say that as painfully as it could be I would not compromise my worth as a person for whomever hurt me like HJW for whatever the reason.
