My School President (2022)

These two might be set in the same universe since we saw some of the my school president cast play as pat and prans juniors in bad buddy along with p'aof being involved in the production of both of the series and they have similar vibes

Music series about two boys. One boy plays in music band and another is rich and has strict parents. Poor boy has a secret crush on the rich because he had helped him in the past and he fell in love. Also poor boy's mother own a restaurant where rich guy likes to go.

These 2 BLs are very different in tone, but do share a few key similarities:
Both of these stories take place in the upper grades of high school and have a significant subplot that critiques the education system as not benefiting all of its students.

The leads also have a rather similar dynamic of a flirtatious enemies-to-lovers-esque dynamic between a shy top student and a shameless classmate determined to make his mark. Both couples excel at chemistry that comes from their gazes to each other.

-there a kind of 'forbidden love' vibe in both bcoz in my school president, one ml is the son of the headteacher, but the other ml and his band are disliked by the headteacher, and in only boo, one ml wants to be an idol, but then he wouldn't be able to date if he did

Both BLs heavily focus on music and have iconic soundtracks. They also both take place in school settings and at least one character in each shows' main couple have secret motives that kickstart the romance (no spoilers :) ).

Both of these incredibly fluffy BL dramas center around one of the leads being a closet simp for the slightly crazy (and slightly dumb) energetic lead. They also feature hilarious imagination sequences, a super supportive best friend that steals the spotlight, and a high school setting.

If you liked Heart and Liming then here's a series fully dedicated to them. The genre is different but trust me GeminiFourth nail it in MSP too. And in the both the series their storyline plus they themselves are cute.

These two Thai BL series have a completely different setting but a very similar vibe (they are cute, funny and heart-warming), all the leads are very attractive and the plot of both series kinda revolves around a secret crush. One of the main characters in each of them is very caring and the other one is cute.

The same screenwriters worked on both shows and it's pretty obvious. Both shows have simple premises that are cleverly written.

Some similarities:
- a group of young people make music together
- several Thai songs produced specifically for the series, including both solo and group vocals
- several singing and dance performances
- training for a music competition
- heartwarming friendships and first love
- a main character has lost his father
- parents of a main character own a cafe/restaurant
- uncovering and solving family problems

Some differences:
- MSP is set in high school
- ATS is set in the Max Academy where young artists are trained
- MSP has BL main and side couples
- ATS has a hetero main couple, a tiny BL side couple and strong bromance between the two MLs (believe me, you'll ship Sky and Chalam, it's hot)
- ATS shows a lot more family problems of the main and side characters than MSP

In both, one lead has a crush on the other but they have a rivalry relationship that makes it hard to act on it. Similar dynamics.

If you like MSP and want another lighthearted and high school set bl, this is a really good option. Lots of humor, a dramatic but adorable main character Aoki, great friendships, and good character development.

If you like KH, then give MSP a try! Light humor, high school set, good friendships, and super cute!!

I don't really know how to explain this one. The two main characters remind me a lot of GeminiFourth's characters in MSP (TinnGun), both physically and in terms of their personalities. I would also compare them to HeartLiming from Moonlight Chicken, who are played by the same actors and have a similar vibe.

Both dramas have one main lead secretly in love with the other. Because of his secret love, he starts doing something he wouldnt really want to do under normal circumstances to help the other lead (MSP - ml becomes school president; HA - ml becomes oth ml dating advisor).

Both dramas are mostly fluffy school/university feel good dramas with handsome leads.

Differences: MSP is actually good and has a solid story while HA doesn't have any sane scriptwriter in the crew.
