Best season so far
9 participants. 5 lads and 4 beauties. 1 house. Multiple personalities and background in Shanghai.First, I would say this season the casting director did their job. Not jus scandal free participants, but good attitude, successful, good-looking, hard working peeps and very tall males. The bar's been raised, makes me very worried for next season.
Without spoiling anything, the dynamics between guys and girls, among the guys and among the girls are nice. Nothing catty or rude. You honestly feel they bond and are comfortable towards the end of the show.
In terms of the panel, Angelababy return. She didnt do much last season but this season she seemed more open in sharing. Lee Seung Hyun was interesting, hes more direct and he doesnt hide what he feels, all on his facial expression. Guest panel Chen Li Nong was funny.
I like the girls of this season, different in personality and demeanor. Wan Yi and Qiu Yi are my favorites. Girls who can speak their mind, has good EQ, level-headed, considerate to others and overall comfortable on the eyes.
Fav guys would be Yang Yang, Zhong Lun and Geng Yuan. The former two are more shy and slow on conveying themselves. Geng Yuan has a direct, CEO style that works well with the girl hes interested in.
Last episode has me tearing. Theres some truly moving actions by the participants. Im a sucker for those who knows how they feel, are loyal and only have eyes for that special person. I too hope the ones who found each other thru this show, reap a bountiful and lasting relationship.
My only complaint is wishing for an extra 2 episodes, hoping the participants had more time together. Pls if you watch raw, every week theres an extra clip, cut scenese that didnt make the episode. Some are worth watching too.

Heart Signal 5 is filled with many sweet and heartwarming moments, and I loved every member of the house. They all seemed very genuine and friendly, they pursued love so bravely, and they reflected on themselves and grew from it. Without spoiling any couple(s), my favorites were probably Li Wan Qian, Zhang Gen Yuan, and Sun Xin. Surprisingly, there weren't as many dates as I thought there'd be, but that's also fine because my favorite parts were when people cooked together or went to the grocery store together. I loved the awkward moments because it felt so real! I laughed so much at the randomly-drawn car assignments for the overnight trip.
The panelists were a fun group with some great insights, and often expressed exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes the part where they guess the messages felt a little too prolonged. There is much blatant product placement (definitely made me want some Oreos) but I can overlook it since the show was otherwise so enjoyable!

Synopsis
This is the Chinese version of the Korean reality dating show of the same name. The show starts with six singles, three men and three women who enter the chosen house location one at a time the first day. They cohabit the “signal house” (which changes each season) with the women sharing one bedroom and the men sharing two bedrooms. The overall goal of the show is for the singles to go about their daily lives while freely flirting/sending signals with the other occupants of the house. There are few organized activities, the main focus is on them living together and getting to know each other more naturally. At the end of each day they send a signal (an anonymous text) to the opposite sex single of their choosing and the detectives must determine who will send a signal/text to whom.

Review
This is my favorite Heart Signal season so far out of both the Korean and Chinese version and my all time favorite couple from this one. The heartwarming romance between some of the singles is a joy to watch. It will confirm that love is alive and still one of the most beautiful human emotions. They all got along really well and there were tears among all when the show ended because they formed such a strong bond in such a short time. I highly recommend this show for anyone that likes romance and particularly reality dating shows. It is a must watch in that genre.

I skipped to this Season after watching all of the Korean seasons up to date and the Chinese versions up to Season 2. I could not find Season 3 or 4 in any easily accessible format. Some have suggested watching it where TenCent posts on You Tube and then having it auto translate but auto translate was turned off for me. It is hard to find anything about the Chinese version likely due to all the discussions would be on Chinese media platforms and not likely translated. What little I could find was that one of the singles had a criminal history so they had to edit their scenes out of the show. But that doesn’t explain why the other season is really hard to find. Maybe due to the pandemic? Maybe the CCP censored it for some reason? If anyone reading this knows why these two seasons are harder to find, pleas note in comments.
