Shizuka-chan to Papa (2022)

Both dramas present about deaf character and the use of sign language . Both dramas also have emotional touch in every episodes which will break our tears.

Shizuka-chan to Papa focuses more on relationship between a daughter and her father and a slight of romance for each of them, while Kimi no Te ga Sasayaite Iru has main leads as husband and wife from the time they fall in love each other until they have their own family.

Both dramas deal with some of the challenges of deafness, and both have a very healing and comforting feeling to them. They are stories about overcoming challenges, both physical and mental, and facing your life head on.

I know the story is completely different but watching Hitomi-Masahiko interactions reminds me a lot to Shizuka and Papa.

Both dramas address heavy but important topics in thoughtful, gentle, but truthful ways, and the storytelling in both is slower-paced with a dash of slice-of-life feel. They are stories that make you feel hopeful and full, even in the bittersweet moments.
