Both of these dramas revolve around Illicit affairs and love triangles in work enviorenment, thus they have similar vibes. VIP has plot twists while The Interest of Love is more about a woman who self-sabotages and heals through her mistakes.

Both portrays forbidden love and in general have similar vibes. It reminded me a lot of my my mister especially how social status is represented.

negotiating relationship + love in the "real world", Moon Ga-young at the centre, clashing desires, late capitalism + neoliberalism, the gap between you and me

Note that the director watched Moon Ga-young in a one-act play/drama before casting her and it was almost definitely Dancing the waltz alone.

They are both slow burn romance dramas. Both dramas keep you on edge waiting to see what is going to happen next. The characters are relatable and intelligent. They are both modern stories and don’t follow a typical formula.

They are both character driver rather than plot driven. The characters in both dramas are tortured, conflicted, flawed, and complicated. Also, both dramas have a slow pace with beautiful cinematography and beautiful music although I would say A Piece of Your Mind has a far superior cinematography.

Both shows are about a complicated love story that includes betrayal. Both dramas depend on dialogues and indirect portrayals of love, such as stares and offering help, to progress the story.

Both shows are about a love square, where the leads date someone else even though they are in love with each other. If you love melodramatic trainwrecks, these are the shows for you!

Complicated female lead with real struggles, introverted life, finding peace in loneliness, office job, self doubt that might hurt others so keeping your distance from others who are willing to get along with you, misunderstanding due to your actions and lack of communication.

Both dramas are workplace romance genre. Main focus of the story is the love line, but also explores the daily lives and coworkers relationship.
FL are kinda similar, both of them had to start working early in life and are trying to improve for a higher positions in their current job.

Both have:

- ML and FL in a relationship with other people
- FL feels neglected in her relationship with SML
- ML is with a dominant woman (SFL)
- Melo type dramas with timing being an issue
- Partner won't let them go despite knowing the feelings aren't there anymore (or never were)
