Is love worth the risk?
Nevertheless (2021)Likes:
1. I'm probably one of the minority who liked this drama and the ending. Give these kids a break. They are in college so they are still immature. And not everyone wants to be in a relationship, the same way that not everyone wants to keep dating. To each his own. What's important is the couple has to communicate and be honest with each other with what they want. Had Jae Eon and Nabi done that in the first place, we wouldn't have a story. Maybe they break up within the year. Or maybe they'll last a few years.
2. Love is a gamble. Who ever you choose , you just need to face the consequences or get out. I was fine whoever Nabi chose to be with, whether it's Do Hyeok or Jae Eon. Just like what the professor said. And as long as you're not hurting anyone.
3. A person can be super sweet in public but abusive in private. A bad person can also change with the right person. Let's not make judgements based on rumors or what other people say. Interesting to me that Jae Eon is made to be a bad guy bit why do Bitna, Sol, jiwan encourage Nabi to go out with him? Either they know the real Jae Eon is nice or they are lousy friends.
3. We as viewers plus all of Nabi's friends are commenting too much on their relationship, just like how we do with our own friends. I realized we should all mind our own business coz we don't know what's happening between them.
4. Best character for me is Kyu Hyun.
5. I also liked the OST.
Dislikes
1. Too much references on butterfly.
2. The second half dragged and were repetitive. 10 episodes could have been shorten to 8.
3. Wished we had more scenes with Jae Eon's pov so we actually get to know what and how he really feels.
4. Wished there were more scenes about their artworks.
5. I didn't like Jiwan and Bitna. Felt bad that Sol and Kyuhyun got stuck with them. I thought they deserved someone better but like i said, it's none of our damn business đ
Rating: 8/10

Painful and Beautiful
This drama absolutely killed me from the moment it started. The cinematography mixed with the music and plot, really gets in your feels. I know there are many people who didn't enjoy this show or just thought of it as average but for me, it left a gaping hole in my heart. I think what this drama does so painfully well, is present love in a modern and emotional way. It's not about the rich-guy-poor-girl dinamic that so many dramas tend to follow, it's about two people who have had painful pasts and don't know how to love others and to be loved anymore. Yu Na-Bi seems so defeated by life all the time but the unique relationship she forms with Park Jae-Eon makes her feel and hope again. She doesn't want the 'good guy' because she's experience that the 'good guy' could just as easily end up as the bad guy. Jae-Eon is himself from the beginning and doesn't promise to only commit to her but then cheat on her. He may seem like the bad guy but at least she knows what to expect. They need each other equally to grow, even if it is in their own f***ed up way.Was this review helpful to you?
it's so boring!
honestly at this point, where I have watched like... millions of dramas but I've never seen such pathetic characters ever! I mean what the hell is wrong with Na-Bi?! Jae-Eon is clearly a walking, talking red flag but she can't see that? is love blind in such a pathetic amount??!! Just get a personality sweetheart! this is so annoying and painfully repetitive! at this point I wanna drop watching kdramas altogether! why can't they make more interesting dramas like Goblin or Memorist?! Also, even that dyed haired woman! she was a total b***h (pardon my language)!! both Bit-Na and Na-Bi were pathetic bitches. Song Kang's Sweet Home was way freaking better! Was this review helpful to you?

I donât like where itâs going
I feel like I should mention right off the bat that I do tend to have a bias against dramas based on webtoons, because they follow a very similar pattern that I donât actually enjoy watching, but the premise of this one intrigued me and there are only a couple episodes available so far so I thought why not?I donât mind the first episode, it caught my attention at the start and managed to maintain it throughout from what I can remember. I was also very impressed with the female leadâs character and how she managed the break up (although completely giving up on love because of it felt a tiny bit extreme but I can at least understand her feelings), especially with how confident she was able to break it off and remain with herself afterwards. The male lead also seemed interesting, even though it was so obvious from the start to me what his character was going to be and how he was going to act later on. I was really happy when she left him and hoped that she wasnât just going to let him do whatever he wants with her cause heâs charming, but unfortunately that seems to be exactly what happens in the second episode. I appreciate the different reaction of the main girl who knows she likes the main guy and even inadvertently shows it, instead of the typical female lead (not necessarily in kdramas) who hates them for no reason when they meet and the lead falls for them immediately because theyâre ânot like anyone else theyâve met beforeâ cause their act doesnât work on them. But itâs gotten to be so annoying how, because of her interest, sheâs letting him get away with everything, and it doesnât cause her to pull back from the situation at all - she says sheâs going to after recognising one of the many, many signs that theyâre not emotionally compatible and arenât looking for the same things in a relationship, but then proceeds to talk and stare at each other long enough that they make out (or try to most of the time) and I can tell itâs only going to get worse from here.
I just realised thereâs kind of a clue in the name âNevertheless,â in that every bad sign she sees is met with defiance and the want to be with him no matter the obvious regret and pain thatâs going to happen later. E.g âIâm not the only one. Nevertheless,â - title of Episode 2. So I guess if this was technically the inherent theme of the drama, I canât judge it that badly, itâs just not for me.

Realistic that it annoys me lmfao
Tissue Rate (aka how much I cried); I didnât really cry, I was more frustrated then emotional for this drama- I think this drama is really good at portraying how it feels to be in a relationship with someone who you deeply are connected with but it just doesnât work. I think the acting was perfect, it made me feel anxious, annoyed but also mesmerize by how well the chemistry between Song Kang and Han So Hee.
- I LOVE LOVE LOVE this drama for including a bit of the LGBT+ community with Sol and Jiwan! I love those two so much! I think it was wonderful how their feelings came together in understanding that they actually like each other more than friends!
- The music is SO SO SO good!! Like I love the OST more than the actual drama lmfao!!
- Recommend if you want a realistic feel of a drama!

I dont really watch ongoing dramas cause its not good for my EQ to wait a whole week before the next episode. And as much as I can, i stay away from spoilers and clips floating around the net just so I can appreciate the drama more in my own view. But with Nevertheless, I found myself browsing thru clips and reviews and I concluded its not going to be a happy ending judging from the toxicity of being with f*** boy. I started to watch it hours before the last episode was released so Id be able to avoid spoilers on the ending â and im glad i did. I never read the webtoon nor do I care about it. A webtoon is a webtoon, drama is a drama. I read that the webtoon is more dramatic, darker, and realistic. But come on, out of 10 dramas youâve watched, just how many are realistic? While finally watching Nevertheless, I could never see the bad on Jae Eon. His eyes are always full of warmth. His gaze towards Nabi was too different from his actions. When he met Nabi, I already felt he wants to change but continuously to avoid the fact that he does. If you read too much on other peopleâs ments, like the auntâs talking to Nabi or Gyu hyun talking to Jae Eon, you would somehow know how this drama would end up. Thats why I became really hopeful. I could understand totally understand Nabiâs thoughts as to why she wants to stay away from Jae Eon as much as possible. In this open minded world that we live in, its really hard to find a person you can trust, love fully and unconditionally. Youâd want to question their sincerity towards you - and obviously, Jae Eon showed zero sincerity at the start. But you know, Im really glad both of them tried to change. Nabi for going after what she really likes and Jae Eon letting go of his dark nature for Nabi. One thing I super loved about Jae Eon is he never forced himself to Nabi. He would always ask before doing anything and letting Nabi decide on their relationship. Like, how is that a f*ck boy? A f*ck boy would NEVER care about the girlâs feelings as long as he attains his goals. Im really satisfied with the ending. I couldnt get over the fact that the supposed f*ck boy would shed tears for the girl he thought he couldnt have. I repeated that scene too many times.
Some things I need explanation on - justification on SeolAâs character, i mean, she was just there to get Nabi jealous, and get Nabi to say, âJae Eon likes doing IT with your hair tied.â Lol. Who was she to Jae Eon then? I was really curious. Also as to why Jae Eon loves butterflies too much and hates dating. Id really like some light on those points but Im guessing the webtoon touched on it, which I have no intention of reading.
Some thoughts of mine, Song Kang is not fit to play a playboy or a fck boy. He looks too nice. His eyes are really too innocent for something like this. Im kind of falling for him now. Heâs gonna be my next oppa, but i think heâs going to the army soon. Also, i read about the webtoonâs ending prior to the dramaâs ending. And honestly, I canât stand the fact that Song Kang might not end up with the FL again â i was traumatized from Love Alarm. Song Kang deserves the FL. Lol.
Thats it for me, I loved it, and I dont give a damn to those people who hates this drama, and comparing it to the webtoon too much. Like wtf, cant you differentiate? They written by different writers for a reason.

After allâŚ.
At the beginning I wanted this drama to be just like the ordinary cliche boy meets girl thing but as it progress the storyline becomes toxic to the point that I wanted to drop it. But, I stuck to it thinking that this would be a new perspective a glimpse of reality that not all relationships are healthy. Considering that they were in their early 20âs and in college the core should have been more on infatuation and moving on, learning from experiences. But unfortunately it ended just like any other cliche about love and fate and a happy ending. After all it would have been something nice.

Realistic modern day love; frustrating
This was my first Korean drama in awhile since I stopped around 2018, so it was refreshing to have something to watch and it be a Korean drama. Since, I watch mostly Chinese, Thai and Japanese. Also, this drama is not for the weak hearted.Storyline/Plot: I really enjoyed the plot line since it was a realistic take on how love is in modern times. I really was happy that we finally have a drama like this since I usually see Japanese drama's convey social issues within their drama's. So, I wasn't expecting this drama to talk about something that happens in real life. I was hesitant to watch it since the synopsis didn't really stand out to me with how they described the drama. However, I was glad that I gave this drama a chance seeing I can relate to it. On the other hand, I hated how boring it got from episode 8 and onward. Which I had to drop the drama because it go boring and Nabi (FL), she just started to think so dumb. And it just became to hard to watch to the point I had to force myself to watch episode 8 which I stopped watching mid way. Furthermore, I don't like forcing myself to watch things and skipping either. Another thing is they started giving Nam Kyu Hyun (Kim Min Gwi) less screen time for something so dumb and petty (he cheated on his girlfriend and she exposed him for it). It left me uninterested with his and Bit Na's relationship since we couldn't see much of his face. Ji wan and Sol's relationship was annoying and not progressing as they both couldn't come to terms with whatever feeling's they had. All in all, all the couples including the secondary couples were boring and poorly written. The first half of the drama (episode 1-7) was good in my opinion and then it gets bad from there.
Acting /Casting: I liked both Song Kang and Han So Hee giving this is the first time I am watching a drama with the both of them. And the fact that they played both of their character's well. Also, I could say the same thing for the secondary actors and actresses as well.
Music: I don't talk about music much but I love the ost because it has such a chill vibe to it seeing that this is a youthful drama and it being taken place in college. It was really nice along with the aesthetics as well.
In conclusion: I won't be re watching this drama because it something I don't typically see myself revisiting due to it being so frustrating and its not exciting. Where as I could go back in time 5-10 years from now and be like "Oh! Look!, I remember when this drama came out, let's re watch!." for some happy memories and/or funny parts.

beautiful simply beautiful
This drama is a beautiful escape from reality.I got hooked in the first episode.
With any drama your going to have slow parts but to my surprise This drama didn't have any, maybe because it was only 10 episode i don't know.
I was amaze by the other love triangles, they were equally captivating, it was like that of a real life situation.
When the female lead got a new prospective love triangle I was so worried đ on the edge of my seat type worrie! đ
no sleep type worried! Because you know most of these writers love the sink our hearts! In a sad ending.
But as the story unfolds and the suspense comes to a close I was so plesantly surprise it had a happy ending.
I must say tho, this ending was not only happy but rather Eye opening, so much of us are lead by our minds instead of our heart's. Even tho the heart is where the fun is, isn't it.
loving purely from logic is what makes life boring, the passion, pain, desire, butterflies can only be found from love within the heart.
And in this ending the lead actress went with her heart. â¤ď¸
Beautiful drama, Its a must watch.

One of THEE Worst Kdramas I've Ever Seen
I stuck it out, hoping Nabi would grow up. She never did. I don't think she ever got over her ex, and Jae came along, at just the wrong time. Where to begin? There was no legit reason for Nabi to become so taken with Jae. He was fine, but not that fine. He was wishy washy, and loved to play games, and in this instance, it took Nabi way too long to figure it out. Not sure why they changed the Webtoon ending. I guess it's because the leads were attractive, and therefore had to end up together.I knew the very moment I should have stopped watching this garbage - when Nabi wiped another woman's lipstick off Jae's lips (he had just kissed another woman moments before) and kissed him. I couldn't believe what I was watching. The way she treated Yang Do was unforgiveable. I wanted him to stop liking her, and I'm glad he did finally give up. He was too good for Nabi.
She says at the end "I know he won't make me happy..." Girl what? I didn't want her to end up with either guy. She should have gone to Paris, and lived her best life.

Normal student life?
Well, emotionally, these look like normal students to me. I went to university many ions ago and life was pretty much sex, alcohol, lectures in that order. For a few with disordered behaviour it would take another ten years or so before they would be reliable enough to mate for life and have babies. Humans in their late teens are not grown sufficiently to produce the unselfish behaviour that is needed for romantic attachments whilst studying. For me, the webtoon and scriptwriters have judged this well. The cast are not toxic, they are simply acting.Don't forget that the Covid pandemic was raging at this time and all the cast and team should be applauded for getting through a difficult production. Well done.

realistic and destructive
FInally picking this up after dropped it months ago, and actually i have slightly different view after finish this dramaMonths ago, i thought that the ending is unrealistic, it feels forced happy ending
in fact, after i finished it, it feels like sad ending to me
FL getting back at square one after trying to be tough in 2 prior episodes
but for me, it what makes it realistic
FL already grew up in toxic environment, namely her aunt, she always feels she is never enough of a person and then she met the ML, our manipulative, self-centered, flirtatious guy we wish we never met. So, rather than saying FL doesn't has character development, i would say that she is stick to being herself.
The 19+rating is not just about their explicit content, the story itself is for mature audience, it tells about how destructive it can be if person misinterpret lust with love, and it might give the younger audience the wrong idea.
Lastly, i dont think i would rewatch it, but for someone who plan to watch it, keep in mind this story centered around two broken people, so you might not get ideal result at the end
