Narcissistic protagonist

I watched the whole drama just to confirm how bad the story is. In order to create a fresh narrative they portrayed a stereotypical narcissist who is cruel and toxic in every relationship she enters, and in the end, she becomes an even worse person. It's basically a twisted retelling of female empowerment, which fails miserably as a romance and it is offensive as a feminist plot. I would never classify this story as 'polyamory' because that would mean that there is honesty and acceptance from all parties involved. What FM did was lie at the beginning, take advantage of the emotional dependence of the ML when they find out about each other, and toss them aside when the hype of the relationship passed. Traditionally we see the same situation with the man in the manipulative role but it doesn't make it acceptable by reversing the genders (that's why I think it offends feminism to say that this is some kind of "girl power"). There is no ending that would validate this plot but the authors certainly went above and beyond to create the worst possible one. And if you relate to the story on any level, I strongly suggest that you seek psychiatric help.

Different kinda story!

So at first, seeing that this is a short drama with lots of product placements in the first few episodes, I actually thought that the story was going to be a standard romcom stuff to appeal to a larger audience, but by God, was I so wrong! And I am happy I was wrong because tbh this is a unique one of a kind show that I watched and I was satisfied with the ending.

So now coming to the story, it is basically about a hardworking sweet girl who falls in love easily, but the catch here is that she usually falls in love with more than 1 person at a time! I know it did seem like she is 2 timing with both the guys during first few eps but then they show that she is actually genuinely in love with both of them! Some people do fall in love like that I guess!
Anyway so she goes and tells the same to both of them thinking they will break up but she is in for a surprise when both of them agree to be with her! And so it goes until things get hard for everyone... You gotta watch it to know the rest of the story! Lol

Then there's also a sweet guy best friend who loves her for who she is... In fact everyone is a good person here, all the guys and even the girl when we get to know her properly after few eps are all nice. Somehow everyone tries to understand that she's a different person whose idea of love is unconventional and different from the general population and she is simply who she is.

I liked that they didn't try to change her into a conventional heroine in the end. Till the end she was unconventional but a slightly more matured person in terms of her relationships, as in the beginning she valued only her own opinions more and in the end she was more considerate of others too.

I have seen many comedy movies with ml two or even 3 timing with girlfriends and even multiple wives without telling the ladies involved about each other, so I actually thought this was the female version of it but it turned out to be a more matured approach in the end rather than a mere comedy.

So give it a try for its novel approach!

So Disappointed

Wow, this is easily the worst drama I have ever watched, from start to finish, every time there was a choice, the main female lead made the wrong one. I was especially disappointed by the best friend, and wished he could have had a little more pride. What makes him think that ultimately he will be different than the previous two boyfriends? I am just glad this drama ended before we had to watch his heart break, I don't think I would have handled that well. Of course, I didn't handle this ending very well either, the impulse to throw pillows across the room and scream was strong, very very strong.

Please, find something else to watch. This entire show was just a PPL covered in bad decisions and heartache.

Controversial

To be honest, I enjoyed the show except for the very end. Perhaps if they had ended it differently, I would rate it higher. But it would also be no different from other shows and be easy to forget. I can see the writer's dilemma.

Nonetheless, I've rated it as a work of fiction. I enjoyed the acting and the story telling. I do understand that such lifestyles work for some people. Just like polygyny, polyandry exists. Men bragging about threesomes gets brushed away as normal/exciting. But women having several partners or partners simultaneousy is viewed as immoral or shameful. Such is the reality of most patriarchal societies that are especially worse in the continent of Asia.

If those involved are in consenting relationships, should we be offended is what it ultimately comes down to. It is possible to have your own set of beliefs without imposing it on others. In order words, live and let live.

its a relationship that gave us a lot of lessons that we need to know as of now...

a two-timing relationship that gave her exes bad timing.

let me explain how this web drama deserve a 9 out of 10 (other than a rating lower than 8). polyamory was very new to me. as her personality really shows about how she really loves to date men at the same time. well even if this drama talks about having a two-timing relationship, the drama makes sense of how Yang- Ji-soo really wants to get loved the way her character is. it seems that her romantic life seems to be more darker because of how bad she is (from the title itself.)

Yoon Tae Oh and Moon Ji Oh, no matter they did not gave another chance at the very end to have good endings, at that point in the last episode, that's where I got a little sad for them. I was just waiting for Yang Ji-hoo of who she choose, until the last 3 episodes seems to gave clues about how Ji-Soo ends up with, which is Kwak Hyeon Hoo (aka her 10 year best friend since high school).

The synopsis of this drama really concentrates of how Ji-soo enjoys two-timing which her character shows from the whole series. I like the plot since it was really far different from other web drama series I've watched so far. The cast were also very attractive, especially the fml, Byeon Seo Yoon since I've known her from her supporting role from police university, including Yoo Jung Hoo, who captured my heart as well from his handsomeness haha.

Overall, this web drama I think would be in a best way possible when your mindset would concentrate about how Ji-soo would encounter relationships that includes two-timing. I got interested to watch this web series because of the plot which is again, very interesting.

Just...Terrible

I decided to watch this drama for Omega X Hyuk. After all he's been through with this group I felt it was right to honor what he worked hard on. I felt he he did a great job acting and his character was on par. However, this story is wack. Not only was it highly predictable but i wanted to punch the chick in the ovaries. After the one girl confessed what she did and why she ran away you'd think that would click in her head, well it did, she confessed....Yet they were okay with it. Alright no big deal there, if they all agree and know the circumstances who am I to judge? what I don't get is that i predicted the best friend being snuck in there since the beginning and she eventually dumped everyone for just him and You think great this is a happy ending but the hell was that at the end of episode 12? Like if you're that happy and you love someone and you realized what you were doing why would you go back to doing that and this dude who was so against it and you felt bad for doing it, suddenly okay with you continuing to be a "bad girlfriend". For me this was just not it.

bad story and awful ending

so basically the whole point of the story is her being a cheater and her partners just NEED to accept it...... wtf? I don't get it how she even had that many people liking her at work, she could be nice to people she had no romantic interest but her whole love story just proves she's a bad person, and she doesn't regret it!? In the end, I thought she would finally be a decent human being but she still had another whole boyfriend at the same time, wtf
this story was so bad, but it's what they say: once a cheater, always a cheater.

She’s living the dream

Wonderful drama. It’s funny people weren’t against a man dating/marrying multiple women (Islam). Nor where they complaining about “sister wives.” Almost all poly relationship are two women and a man. But now that we have a show with multiple men and one women it’s a problem. It’s not. She’s living a womens dream. Say what you want but if I got a chance to go out with V from BTS and JK at the same time, I’d have two Bfs ? I mean people are such hypocrites. This show was pretty cool it ended on a good note. They all came out happy. In the end that’s all that matters happiness and truth. Now if I can convince V and JK that they need me.. ? it’s a joke.

yall this gotta be one of the most fucked up kdramas i watched fr?????? basically the girl is two timing a guy and another one for the most of the series and they’re trying to justify her actions by saying “thats just how she is” like ?wdym by that??? another character was later introduced and he is her friend of 10 years and they started hinting at the fact that he likes her and has liked her for the past 10 years despite knowing her two timing tendencies and i fr thought he would change her in the end and it’ll be all cute in the end where they get together and she stops two timing…YALL……in the end they DO get together but because he accepts her for who she is THE SERIES END WITH HER DATING HIM AND ANOTHER GUY AT THE SAME TIME AND THEY EXCHANGE HER FROM TIME TO TIME….?!?!?!?LIKE WHAT?!?????? so she basically doesn’t change at all in the end and her argument is that she NEEDS to have two partners at the same time cus otherwise it just doesnt work out for her like bro…?? i literally laughed at the ending…it was very entertaining tho, but goddamn…the moral of the story is very bad idk how to feel abt it deadass

A Polyamorous Review

As is common within polyamorous themed works, this one starts off with a cheating girlfriend. She is very inconsiderate to her partners, as is to be expected, and full of love. Like its predecessor, Jealousy Incarnate, she ends up in a trial period of dating her two boyfriends with the hopes that she'll choose one at the end.

However, as time goes on, she starts to consider what both of her partners wants and realizes that she can't give them that. To be true to herself, she needs to be able to honestly pursue the people she is attracted to. Finally, she becomes more considerate and breaks up with both of he boyfriends letting them know she can't be the monogamous woman they want her to be. And instead, she ends up with her childhood friend who understands that she is like this.

I have to say, this felt very honest towards the end. Most of the polyamorous people I know married their childhood friends while dating other people (and still do). If there was ever a stereotype that felt true, this would be the one. I think because of this, I have to lean towards a positive rating for it. But I do feel kind of weird how her childhood friend seems to have helplessly and almost unwillingly gotten into this relationship. Especially when he was the one who told her early on that she should just be true to herself.

In terms of acting, I really was not expecting much, however I was pleasantly surprised by some of the actors. There were a few characters who I felt didn't really match the emotions in a way that I related to, but who still had an interpretation of the lines that I think was good and probably better to understand for a wider audience. I'm not saying "the acting was amazing!" but I am saying I thought some of it was pretty good (one break up scene in particular took me by surprise).

Can't remember the soundtrack so it couldn't have been that good, but also wasn't bad.

As someone who is constantly looking for polyamorous stories, this was enjoyable. Are you like me and in some dire need for polyamorous shows? I have a list so check out my profile! (And also PLEASE tell me if you know any that I haven't watched yet)

Come on. Really?

Where do I begin?

This feeds into every stereotype you hear about polyamorous people: They're greedy, selfish, wishy-washy, manipulative, and just "bad" people. The FL, Ji Soo, is the perfect embodiment of these stereotypes. Ji Soo knows she leads people on, lies to them, and cares more about herself than others. She readily admits it to her best friend, Hyeon Woo, out loud multiple times. I think it's worse to be fully aware of your bad behavior and do nothing about it than to be completely ignorant of how your actions affect others.

The story itself also pushes back against validating polyamory at nearly every turn. That will become clear later in this review.

Little polyamory lesson coming from someone who practices monogamy but knows a decent amount about it: Polyamory is when you engage in multiple romantic and/or sexual relationships with the consent of all partners involved.

This woman labels her loving multiple people as wrong, which it's not. She doesn't need to feel guilty about not being able to choose between two guys or date "normally." What she DOES need to feel guilty about is sneaking around behind their backs. It is not correct polyamory if you are not informing them. They think you are exclusive and you are lying by omission.

When Tae Oh and Ji Ho finally know what's going on and are able to give informed consent, we get a brief glimpse of what could have been. When she is with one partner unexpectedly she informs the other out of consideration, she attempts to give both men time out of her day, and she equally expresses love and physical affection.

But then, it's ruined again. She kisses Hyeon Woo—without his consent, I might add—without asking her partners beforehand, talking to them about what she's going through, or taking their feelings into consideration. And the cherry on top of this is that she never tells Tae Oh or Ji Ho what she did.

The end sees her breaking up with both of them because she feels they shouldn't continue when they each want to exclusively be with her, and she ends up dating Hyeon Woo while seeing other guys casually.

This left me frustrated for so many reasons. For one, there isn't much, if anything, to indicate she loves Hyeon Woo. When she goes to bang on Hyeon Woo's door and ends up kissing him, she's only thinking about how much she misses her best friend and wants him back in her life so they can do the activities they enjoy together. She's not thinking about how she feels differently about him now; she just kisses him out of the blue and says she was doing it to see if she liked him. Then he tells her that he wants to date her and that if she wants that she will need to break up with her boyfriends. He says he's not okay with her seeing other people while she's with him. He is very clear about this. This leads to my second reason, how in the hell do they expect me to believe he magically came around?! How? He is very firm about it just being them and then comes around out of nowhere. Out of nowhere! My third reason: what the people who made the show wanted to say. I think them going for her dating Hyeon Woo while casually seeing other guys was to give less endorsement of polyamory. They couldn't show her seriously dating two men and equally loving them. They went for the option that is closer to a "normal" relationship. Also, so they could continue to call her a "bad girl" for what she's doing. Basically saying, "She's messing around. Isn't that so bad of her?" And my fourth reason, Tae Oh and Ji Ho were starting to like each other (not romantically) and seemed pretty content staying dating Ji Soo together. It would have made sense for them to tell Ji Soo they want to stay as they are, not just go along with the breakup.

Okay, for my own peace of mind, I'm going to rewrite the end of this drama. Fanfiction/directing incoming:

Ji Soo goes to the restaurant to drink soju, feeling upset about the absence of her best friend (she doesn't kiss him). Her ex still shows up and says everything he did before, she is moved by her boyfriends' verbal defense of their relationship, and the fight still happens. But on the walk back to her place she takes both their hands and tells them, "I know we haven't finished the project yet and we said that's when I'd make my decision. But . . . I love you both. Equally. I can't choose between you, Tae Oh and Ji Ho. Please understand. I want to keep dating you. Can we stay together? Just like this?" Tae Oh and Ji Ho look at each other and then at Ji Soo. They give slight smiles, and she pulls them in for a hug. The guys look awkwardly at each other but then also embrace. The next day the video still gets released, and things look grim for all of them. She feels guilty, but Tae Oh and Ji Ho both comfort her individually, reminding her that they decided to fight. Getting courage from them, she stands up to the boss and puts her job on the line so they can stay on the project. While Ji Soo is shown giving a presentation, Ji Ho smiles to himself, noticing how lovingly Tae Oh looks at her. The project is completed successfully, and Ji Soo still hands in her resignation.

Flash forward to three months later, and we see Tae Oh dropping her off at her new job. He gives her a kiss on the cheek as she opens the car door. She sits at her desk and begins to work. The camera focuses in on her right, where there is a framed picture of her, Tae Oh, and Ji Ho at the park laughing together. Later she has lunch with Ji Ho at the cafe where they met. While waiting for their dessert, he holds her hand across the table. Finally, they are shown having dinner all together at her place. Tae Oh and Ji Ho bicker over the dishes they made, and Ji Soo laughs at them. Cut to credits. The end.

I feel better now.

Unconventional, but very cute

I wasn't sure about this drama at first. I wanted to watch it to support Hyuk, even though I'm not a big fan of office dramas or cheating. Surprisingly, this drama stole my heart.

I want to talk about the cheating first, because it does happen, but I think it somehow works with the storyline. Dare I say, it was kind of creative?

I haven't watched a drama like this before, so that's a big positive. It managed to achieve a good balance of showing the relationships between the characters and also the workplace, it made me care about the characters and it had really good cliffhangers.

What I like the most is that after every episode, I didn't just forget about this until the next one, I kept thinking about the characters and what would happen next. I couldn't predict anything until maybe episode 9/10, and even then I only predicted one thing.

I also like that the episodes are short and there's only 12 of them so my time passed by fast and when I rewatch it some day in the future I could probably watch all the episodes in one day.

I'm not sure how I feel about the ending. I'm half satisfied and half wish it ended a bit different. It makes sense, based on what we saw till that point.

But yeah, I'm pleasantly surprised that this worked for me and that it gave me such strong feels.
