MY FAV 2022 KDRAMA

So, the list of my favorite kdramas is longer now. I know it is 2023 now and I just finished watched all the episodes.

I just love all the aspects in this drama. Actors, story, production, OSTs, and others. I just love how all the actors have a great chemistry. I love how the story flow and even though the female lead changed, it doesn't make the story weird. I still can continue watching and enjoy all the episodes. I love how Go younjung can adapt acting as naksu after played by Jung somin.

All of the actors are gorgeous and act really well. I don't know what to say again.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE DRAMA. Of course, it is rewatchable.

p.s. I fell in love with jaewook harder now and of course, my beauty queen, go younjung ?

What a Beautiful, Crazy and Wonderful Ride

Regardless of its flaws this will still go down as one of my favourite kdrama of all time.

The chemistry between the leads really made up for the frustration we all felt about the story during the ending and whilst I do wish some of the plot had moved on quicker and made sense.

There were times I did wish I could see the old Naksu but I feel like this is a view if what Cho Yeong’s personality without all the child hood heartbreak. Not to mention Ukie went from cute in PT 1 to sexy Jang Uk in PT 2. Not to mention those kisses.

Pt1 had the best story but Pt 2 had the best chemistry I’ve seen on screen in a very long time and atleast a “happy” ending.

The BTS and Instagram posts all the edits and this comment interaction made the whole journey worth it. We were all going crazy for 6 weeks and let’s not even pretend we all screamed on New Years Eve and New Years Day.

I hope it keeps the extra 0.1% because just on the above it deserves it!

you’ll keep rewatching it over and over again

Alchemy Of Souls is one of the few kdramas that mostly lead to perfection. The first season is just sensational, story and fantasy wise. It'll intrigue you, move you, make you laugh and cry. It'll tickle all your emotions.
And the second season is quintessentially perfection and we absolutely needed it. The two main leads and their chemistry and emotions are the main focus of the story and you’ll fall in love with them over and over again. I cried so much but at the same time I had such a good time watching it.
It has become my fav kdrama of all time, taking the first spot from "Goblin" after 5 years.
I truly recommend it: you'll fall in love with every character and you'll embrace all their flaws and imperfections and shadows and lights.
Watch it!!

AMAZING

Three years have passed after the tragic events at the end of season 1 when the tale picks up. Mu-deok (who is being controlled by Naksu) has vanished after being rescued from certain death by unidentified forces. Jang-uk is back and even more fierce than before. He is almost unstoppable and a soul-shifter hunter. He reminds me a lot of Neo from The Matrix Reloaded, and it's amazing how closely their characters' stories intersect. When Jang-uk comes across Bu-yeon, the long-forgotten princess of Jinyowon that’s been imprisoned by her mother, what ensues is an unlikely romance wrapped around a larger plot for saving the Kingdom. Only, it turns out Bu-yeon is actually Naksu and Mu-deok in disguise, although she doesn’t remember any of it.

Confused but really good

When I saw that there would be a second season I was extremely excited because I thought that naksu would have his memories, I really wanted this to happen, but it was a shattering of expectations in front of me
It was so awakening to see the way naksu was "cute" and without powers, and when she finally comes back to her memories, she doesn't even take the sword, or fight, that was one of the things I had to hold myself back from dropping this kdrama
If naksu had her memories and jang uk didn't recognize her, and still naksu went after him and took his sword, or if she fought at least once during every episode, it would be a much better reencounter
The story is super slow, there were 10 episodes but it felt like I watched 30, it was very tame from one plot to the next, there were almost 4 episodes of naksu having her memories "back" but nothing happened, jang uk kept treating her badly , and she kept having memory, it was literally like that until episode 8.
And when jang uk fell in love with naksu with no memories and totally forgetting about dumbok, it was the worst part of this kdrama, I finished this show with no expectations that jang uk found out that buyeon was naksu, but it had a happy ending, so no it was that bad

Perfect+1

First of all idk why most reviews hating on this season and the new female lead.
But anyway i think it's a really good second season to end it and everything was as the first one the acting and the story i even think this season was a bit better in term of the visual effects and also the main character was giving a more Spotlight as we see his character progression, so for me i loved and enjoyed every bit of it.

Prolly one of the best dramas with best casting ever!

I enjoyed the first season. No don’ doubt about that. But I lived the second. It’s been almost a month since the last episode aired and I still can’t seem to move on. AOS part 2 posts still appear on my social media explore pages and I keep going back to Netflix to re-watch certain parts of the episode.

What really captivated the fan base? I think it’s the casting of the series. While I loved Jun Somin’s acting skills, I loved the energy and the vibe Go Young Jung brought to the set. She is such a heaven made pairing with Lee Jae Wook. They have the best chemistry. So did with other actors. Like the crown Prince, Park Gangu, Jin Cho Young, Yul. And even between lord Park and manservant Kim ?. They were all great and gave their 100%.

I’m just sad that it ended in just 10 episodes. Would have been great if there were around another two episodes as I felt like the part two episodes were too rushed. The story like got a bit complicated towards the latter part but it kept us on the edge and gave us a lot to think about! I will definitely recommend this to everyone as I’ve already got alot of my friends to watch it ?.

I hope to see Jae Wook and Young Jung be casted together again. I’m not the type to think this, but they have crazy chemistry! Love you guys, everyone from AOS cast! ??

Captivating fantasy romance beautifully directed ! Worth all the hype !

The second (and final) season of the latest fantasy series brought to Dramaland by the Hong sisters was worth the watch. The writers managed a successful landing for this highly anticipated show as this sequel reaps all the seeds that were planted in its parent series.

Storytelling wise, I found the change of the main actress pretty audacious and leading to some uncharted territories of pinning and angst regarding the romance between the 2 main leads. It was properly captivating to see the lovers interact with each other. The cast did a good job (especially some of the secondary characters which provided some great added-value to the story) and I will be curious to see their next projects.

The drama was also beautifully directed. The production value was amazing with a real artistry in terms of the way scenes were filmed and the choice of colours overall. The pastels of the costumes gave me all the feels and were really eye-catching. I also found the Visual FX satisfactory and some songs of the OSTs are still stuck in my heads because it was so good.

Pacing might have been slightly too slow in the middle and motivation/plan of the arch nemesis might have been better thought through but it was a very enjoyable and thrilling ride that made me go through a lot of emotions. The ending had me glued to my seat, anticipating for the worst and praying for the best.

I would recommend this (and the overall saga as a whole with its season 1) to people looking for a fantasy show with strong production value and in search of an epic romance.

Alchemy Of Souls 2

This drama is so far actually SO GOOD fr! They all have amazing visuals and awesome acting that are able to captivate the minds of the kdrama watchers and newbies. I love that Naksu is back to her original body. I also feel bad that she's been trapped in that room for a long time. That must actually really suck tbh.. no people, no socializing, no friends, no natural air and beauty... it is indeed unfortunate.. But it's fine! I'm sure it'll get better soon enough. I just cant wait for her to get her memories back and beat everyone's asses! I'm looking forward to it. I want Jang-Uk to experience and see how powerful is. They would be such a powerful couple omg!! AND IMAGINE THEIR CHILD- AHHH I CANT WAITTT. Jang-Uk, I feel bad for him because he lost his precious lover tragically.. it is also indeed unfortunate. I hope he soon finds out the truth about Naksu and they become all lovey-dover again. As for the second lead, I LOVE YOU AND ALL BUT I REALLLLY WANT YOU TO END UP WITH SO YI! She just really loves and deserves him. But I get a feeling she will die for him (kdrama sences tingling) BUT I REALLY HOPE NOT! To the bad guys... they can kts's tbh. But the actors who acted it out were all very good! I'd definitely recommend this drama!

AOS Most Honest Review

The storyline from AOS Season 1 and Season 2 are very good. The storytelling, Character story building, the plot twist, the effects, all aspects are perfect in this drama. the actor and actress are playing their role very good. it's match perfectly for them. especially go yoon jung are so beautifull, his act and expression are so cute. but it's kind of sad that season 2 of this shows only has 10 episodes. don't know that this shows will have a third season. this shows is worth to be the best shows of 2022.

Perfectly played out

I don't think people really understand this drama because all I'm seeing is complains. Don't watch a drama and start complaining if you aren't going to understand the story that it was telling. I didn't like pt1 but as I began watching pt2 it became obvious to me what the story was all about. I think Right from the start it was obvious to us but we choosed not to see it. First of all, the main theme has always been the seven stars, the king born with the 7 stars, the ice stone and Jonyoen. I will try to break it down if I can.
JBY was never existed, she died when she was in the womb, for that reason JS was reborn through her with the help of the ice stone since the ice stone belonged to her which was why she was able to sense and retrieve it from the lake, it was also why she wanted to destroy it because she knew the effect it will have on humans with greed. She came back to stop the future she saw in her vision.
The seven stars are JU, the person he was when his energy was closed and after it was opened which made him also the king as he was a product of the ice stone as well being that the ice stone is a powerful object. The other stars are all Jang UK friends, PDG, SY, the crown prince, Jin Bo Yoen and her sister JCY. The last star is CY aka Naksu. CY (Naksu) was destined to meet JU being that both fathers were best friends and their children would have met and fall in love with each other which master Lee also to be in conclusion of.
JU was a king because of the alchemy of souls in which he was born, JBY was reborn as a star to help him stop the calamity while Naksu (calling her Naksu because it's easy) was born as a star to be his shadow.
Jonyoen played a theme part in the sense that it's the most powerful place, so powerful that an object like the ice stone and the fire bird could be store there, which was why Jin Mu was obsessed in obtaining it or gaining access to it. Jonyoen collapsing would have been a disaster which we almost saw happened.
People wondering what what happened to mudeok soul or JBY soul since Naksu took over. In Pt1 while naksu was trying to shift soul into another woman but got to enter mudeok body is because JBY made it so, both were stars and both had a role to play in the king (JU) coming into his power. In pt1 Naksu got to live as mudeok/JBY and in pt2 JBY got to live in naksu body. Been that the first priestess JS was never met to be born but she had to be born to see the future come to pass and stop it that was why she was able to leave at the end and gave way to the light and shadow which was Naksu to live because she never really got to live.
I summarised it well in my head than I did writing it out, but all in all I really understand the drama and loved it. I guess the problem is the confusion of it all, in my own opinion it shouldn't have been divided, while watching it I refused to think of it as pt1 and pt2 and just sat it as 3YearsLater in my head which made me understand it better and got the bigger picture. I honestly loved the 3 years later more than the first part.
