Alchemy Of Souls 2
This drama is so far actually SO GOOD fr! They all have amazing visuals and awesome acting that are able to captivate the minds of the kdrama watchers and newbies. I love that Naksu is back to her original body. I also feel bad that she's been trapped in that room for a long time. That must actually really suck tbh.. no people, no socializing, no friends, no natural air and beauty... it is indeed unfortunate.. But it's fine! I'm sure it'll get better soon enough. I just cant wait for her to get her memories back and beat everyone's asses! I'm looking forward to it. I want Jang-Uk to experience and see how powerful is. They would be such a powerful couple omg!! AND IMAGINE THEIR CHILD- AHHH I CANT WAITTT. Jang-Uk, I feel bad for him because he lost his precious lover tragically.. it is also indeed unfortunate. I hope he soon finds out the truth about Naksu and they become all lovey-dover again. As for the second lead, I LOVE YOU AND ALL BUT I REALLLLY WANT YOU TO END UP WITH SO YI! She just really loves and deserves him. But I get a feeling she will die for him (kdrama sences tingling) BUT I REALLY HOPE NOT! To the bad guys... they can kts's tbh. But the actors who acted it out were all very good! I'd definitely recommend this drama! Was this review helpful to you?
AOS Most Honest Review
The storyline from AOS Season 1 and Season 2 are very good. The storytelling, Character story building, the plot twist, the effects, all aspects are perfect in this drama. the actor and actress are playing their role very good. it's match perfectly for them. especially go yoon jung are so beautifull, his act and expression are so cute. but it's kind of sad that season 2 of this shows only has 10 episodes. don't know that this shows will have a third season. this shows is worth to be the best shows of 2022.Was this review helpful to you?
Perfectly played out
I don't think people really understand this drama because all I'm seeing is complains. Don't watch a drama and start complaining if you aren't going to understand the story that it was telling. I didn't like pt1 but as I began watching pt2 it became obvious to me what the story was all about. I think Right from the start it was obvious to us but we choosed not to see it. First of all, the main theme has always been the seven stars, the king born with the 7 stars, the ice stone and Jonyoen. I will try to break it down if I can.JBY was never existed, she died when she was in the womb, for that reason JS was reborn through her with the help of the ice stone since the ice stone belonged to her which was why she was able to sense and retrieve it from the lake, it was also why she wanted to destroy it because she knew the effect it will have on humans with greed. She came back to stop the future she saw in her vision.
The seven stars are JU, the person he was when his energy was closed and after it was opened which made him also the king as he was a product of the ice stone as well being that the ice stone is a powerful object. The other stars are all Jang UK friends, PDG, SY, the crown prince, Jin Bo Yoen and her sister JCY. The last star is CY aka Naksu. CY (Naksu) was destined to meet JU being that both fathers were best friends and their children would have met and fall in love with each other which master Lee also to be in conclusion of.
JU was a king because of the alchemy of souls in which he was born, JBY was reborn as a star to help him stop the calamity while Naksu (calling her Naksu because it's easy) was born as a star to be his shadow.
Jonyoen played a theme part in the sense that it's the most powerful place, so powerful that an object like the ice stone and the fire bird could be store there, which was why Jin Mu was obsessed in obtaining it or gaining access to it. Jonyoen collapsing would have been a disaster which we almost saw happened.
People wondering what what happened to mudeok soul or JBY soul since Naksu took over. In Pt1 while naksu was trying to shift soul into another woman but got to enter mudeok body is because JBY made it so, both were stars and both had a role to play in the king (JU) coming into his power. In pt1 Naksu got to live as mudeok/JBY and in pt2 JBY got to live in naksu body. Been that the first priestess JS was never met to be born but she had to be born to see the future come to pass and stop it that was why she was able to leave at the end and gave way to the light and shadow which was Naksu to live because she never really got to live.
I summarised it well in my head than I did writing it out, but all in all I really understand the drama and loved it. I guess the problem is the confusion of it all, in my own opinion it shouldn't have been divided, while watching it I refused to think of it as pt1 and pt2 and just sat it as 3YearsLater in my head which made me understand it better and got the bigger picture. I honestly loved the 3 years later more than the first part.

Best of K-Dramas of the year 2022
This drama is definitely along the lines of Goblin (2016), Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), Crash Landing On You (2019), The Untamed (2019) and The Love Between the Fairy and the Devil (2022).It's just one of those EPIC adventures with three-dimensional characters, plot twists, comic reliefs, stunning fantastical cinematography, soundtracks, devastating emotional stories & heartbreaks.
Must watch!!! The ending is:

I have just completed the second episode of ""Alchemy of souls light and shadows"" . Also know as part 2 . Lee Jae Wook and Go yoon Jung are in the main role . I love the chemistry between them . They are literally killing it. You should watch and i sure you , you will love this show . I don't know why there are only 10 episodes . Btw i am waiting for another episodes eagerly . I recommend you to watch from first part . If you watch from part 2 you can't understand anything . You can watch it on Netflix with subscription. Was this review helpful to you?

StoryMy favorite and least favorite part of this drama was the story. I loved its moral—how evil people continue to harm others without sacrificing nearly as much as the good people, who endure so much to protect what’s right. It felt unfair at times, but even so, the good people persevered and ultimately found happiness. Justice prevailed, and that made it all worthwhile.
Romance
The main characters’ chemistry was amazing! It wasn’t just about their banter but also how they consciously chose to love each other through countless challenges. The story beautifully emphasized that what truly matters is what’s on the inside, not outward appearances, and that love is ultimately a choice.
Loyalty
I also appreciated how clearly the lines between good and evil were drawn. Watching this gave me a sense of security because I knew the good characters wouldn’t betray one another. The last time I felt this way was while watching Demon Slayer XD. The good characters in Alchemy of Souls were genuinely likable, and I loved the relationships among them.
Especially the Crown Prince—he had so many opportunities to get jealous or join the evil side, but he stayed true to his beliefs and overcame his struggles. By doing so, he was able to build meaningful friendships and surround himself with good people. He truly deserves a happy ending (even beyond what we saw in the drama)!
What Could Have Been Better
Now, onto what I didn’t like—or rather, what I think diminished the drama’s potential—the lack of episodes! The plot could have been developed more thoroughly, allowing us to follow the story at a better pace. Instead, it felt rushed.
Why? I wanted more of Uk and Naksu—UKSU <3. I also wanted to see Uk mourn for Mudeok and uncover Buyeon as Naksu. However, the rushed pacing made it difficult for many viewers to accept Buyeon’s character. It felt like such a missed opportunity.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I loved the drama! Even though it could have been better, I truly appreciated the story’s intention and message. Every actor gave their all, and it was evident in the way they brought their characters to life.

one of my fav kdramas ?
I loved this show so much that I can’t even let go of it, I had a whole mental attachment to it. The plot was really great and the episodes were executed consistently. The main leads and the second lead couples all had amazing chemistry with each other. I loved how both the female and male lead were very strong and that they made eachother stronger. They would do anything for each other. It was also not rushed and really showed us everything they went through. The plot twists and plot line were all great it even makes me cry how good it was. I love this show with my whole entire heart and I’ll miss it smWas this review helpful to you?

Disregard the naysayers
Kdrama fans are their own breed of drama and prejudice and many of the reviews panning this second part show how true this is. I loved the first part, but I think the second part was better than the first. It wrapped up the story, matured with a storyline with the characters, and was a fun watch. Genuinely felt both parts 1 and 2 are eminently rewatchable, and both parts are included in my all-time favorite kdramas. Was this review helpful to you?
The performances are stellar, with a strong cast bringing emotional depth to their roles. The cinematography and world-building are visually stunning, immersing viewers in a magical realm full of breathtaking landscapes and atmospheric tension. The blend of heart-pounding action, romance, and supernatural elements keeps audiences hooked with every twist and turn.
Alchemy of Souls is a must-watch for fans of fantasy dramas, offering both visual splendor and deeply human storytelling.

Thoughts about the switch...
All the things that made part 1 worthwhile are still there and I have not much to add to that front. If you've seen part 1, watch part 2 :).About the female lead actor switch. The switch was nicely integrated in the story (albeit somewhat convoluted, but not annoyingly so). The only thing which stuck out for me was the lack in personality continuity. Mu-Deak was extremely sassy, hands-on and she struggled quite a bit with choosing for herself or for others. While this rendition of Naksu was more of a passive moral compass type of person, especially in the second half of the season. I liked the interpretation well enough (although I did enjoy the first rendition more), it was just hard to believe they were supposed to be the same person.
