A Short Gripping Bingeworthy Thriller

Night has come was a suspenseful and entertaining Korean drama that may leaves you with questions.

Story:
The story was not the most original thing in the world, but that doesn't really matter if you execute it well. Which is what Night has come initially did. Every moment was gripping even if it was predictable of who the mafia is. Honestly, my biggest issue over this drama was the ending. I understand the parent's anguish over their daughter's death, but it's honestly doesn't make sense of why Yoon -Seo and Jun-hee were punished. Like they didn't know. Like I saw a comment under this title saying that if Yoon-seo and Jun-hee get punished, the parents should too because how did they not know their daughter was suffering. Any excuse they came up with and be applied to Yoon-seo and Junhee as well. However, perhaps the parents are so filled with misery and anguish by the ir beloved daughter's death, that they cannot not see things clearly. I think adding how Se euns life at home with her parent's perspective would have been a better touch to see how their judgements are clouded.

There were also some unanswered questions about how the kids even got there lol. But, I'm just going to think some stories are better left unanswered, as answering them could drag out the story.

Acting:
In my opinion, for the actors who can be considered "unknown," they really did a good job. I really want to applaud the female lead. Her cries of emotion were so gripping and she really tuned into her character. Maybe because she's older now but her acting was so good I didn't even recognize she was from racket boys. It was also nice seeing the actress who played jung-won and comparing it to her stellar performance in penthouse as the famous Eun-byeol.

Music:

The music was fitting, nothing memorable.

Overall, I'd maybe re watch to see any missed clues, but this is a nice bingeable thriller.

Mafia, Rise Your Head

First of all, please go through the trigger warnings because they are not lying! This series contains a lot of violence and triggering self-harm activities...the minor warning probably so many curses going around (likely because they are high schoolers)

Told about the story of main character Yoonseo who went on school trip with his classmates to a retreat center only to find the time froze and they are forced to play a real-life-situation mafia game. To survive all of the classmates have to work together to solve the game and fight the host. However, it is not easy because they all have secrets behind their backs.

I love the series structure. Set in only 12 episodes and each one only have 30 minutes long duration really does it for me to binge. However, unfortunately it has made the ending seems rushed and as 'it is what it is.'

The strong point of this drama is how they make high schoolers as high schoolers, naive and also easy to drive which eventually amuses the host and we all get so GRRR COME ON at them. It is also later revealed that they do have more characters than the assigned outlook and have more personalities once we get through the episodes.

Yoonseo as the main character who reads a lot of mystery book is pictured as the smart one who is also very lucky and probably calmer than the others because she already has pictures about what was going on. Though it is later displayed that her personality reflects her skill, I wish it is shown more that she is not some kind of helpless girl. I am digging more backstories about her and Junhee that unfortunately is not shown in the drama. I like many characters like Nahee who even though seems meek but actually stands smart to her role as the police. Oh and don't get me started with Somi who is very ANNOYING and staying true to that until the end, haha. I think there are a lot of emotions and sentimental shown in the story and I get that we cannot get a lot of relationships shown because of the volume of the classmates.

However, upon the ending, my guess was a missed that it is Seeun a.k.a. Jungwon who programmed the game for revenge, it is her parents that makes this story I think goes to the offside story. I started to think the technicality at how such adults do that to kids and not to mentioned that they literally does crime back to them. Though I do understand the anger that no one has spoken up about the incident has truly angered them. The ending being them stucked again in loop with only Yoonseo remembered, I think it is a torture...though it seems like the perfect ending, I wish for different ending which somehow they all need to repent during the game, that the purpose is somehow to make them realized something they have done wrong rather than torturing them without the outcome they searched for. At this point, I think the parents just bullying the students back rather than finding the right closure.

Afterall, I rate this story 8 for its engaging delivery and makes me binged for a day! It is thrilling and cruel, I cannot watch it while eating snflksdfnksldf

Get Ready to Lose Sleep

So, I just finished binge-watching "Night Has Come" on Netflix, and oh boy, was it a wild ride! Seriously, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The plot twists? Insane. They kept throwing curveballs at me, and I couldn't get enough.

And don't even get me started on the ending! I won't spoil it, but let's just say I never saw it coming. It broke me in the best way possible.

Yeon Seo and Jun Hee? They nailed it. Yeon Seo brought this intensity to her character that just sucked me in and Jun Hee? What a sweetheart. Their chemistry was off the charts.

Plus, those kids in the show? They had me seriously impressed with their detective skills. I mean, I couldn't solve a mystery to save my life, but they were on another level.

After watching this, I don't think I'll ever be able to play Mafia without thinking about it. The whole thing was just so intricately designed, and even though it seemed a bit out there at first, everything made sense in the end.

And let's not forget about those school trip scenes. They've officially scarred me for life.

Bottom line: "Night Has Come" deserves all the awards. It's a must-watch for anyone who loves a good thriller. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Nothing new but enjoyable

Do I understand if someone rates this drama lower than me? Yes! Was it something new with amazing storylines and characters? No! Did I enjoy it anyway? YES

I was in a little kdrama slump... a bit bored by the kdramas I was watching recently and their genres. This came at the right time. It's short and I liked the airing schedule. The Idea of this drama is nothing new but still interesting and the potential to take the road of a psychological thriller mystery. But it did not. The characters are kinda stupid and some lack depth. The thing is... I still continued watching and was invested and had my own theories. Yes, you could call the ending bad. I was fine with it because I actually did not really care about how it ends. Honestly, this drama is perfect for switching your brain off and relax. I very much needed this, and this drama came at the right time.

Não crie expectativas

* Não vou entrar no tópico atuação pela maioria dos atores serem novos, então claramente a atuação deles não se compara com a atuação de um ator/atriz de elite.

A história é interessante no começo.

Good Enough

Korean Drama '' Night Has Come '' is a death game with a class of high school students as participants.

The drama starts off quite strongly, with the story being gripping and intriguing enough to spark the interest and to have the viewer look for who is behind everything and to figure out what is going on. The use of the mafia game was interesting as well. The bloodshed, though plenty, wasn't just there for show, moreover, but used nicely in the plot. Also, some characters were quite fascinating to follow.

However, the ending was what ruined this drama. First of all, it raised more questions than answers. Also, it was unsatisfying, leaving things unsolved, probably, but unlikely, hinting at a second season. Finally, nothing was explained about that final plot twist, as to how the masterminds behind the game managed to do as they did.

At least, the performances were strong by everyone in the cast.

So, overall, six out of ten.

It was amazing mess up ?

Even though there were so many things that didn't make sense at all and writters probably forgot what was the point of all this. I enjoyed it. It was a pretty quick ride with many questions along that will never answer and most likely don't have answers. All the absurdities aside there was actually something about this concept that i find fascinating. Our brain pick ups all the things that doesn't make sense here and still believes. We get no reason for the personal attachment to the main leads and we still cheer for them. I don't know if the production team made an amazing job or if they mess it up definitely not something in middle. The progression of this drama is fascinating. You go from the 3 bullies are the worst to actually the guy with victim syndrome is even worst to every kid out there is sinner to parents are the worst evil out there.

Not so bad

Maybe because I watched without much expectations, the drama turned out better than I thought. It has enough suspensions and the some actors portrayed their characters really well. Choi Ye Bin acting was a little disappointing in this drama, I felt like she was a little stiff. But in contrast, Lee Jae In acting really good. This is my first time watching her as a main lead, and I think she did really well with carrying her character. Especially love the scene of her confronting Jeongwon (Yebin).

Wolves disguised as Sheeps.

This story is pure fiction, thriller and horror. It turns out that during a school retreat, the students of a class find themselves alone and locked in the Mafia Game. There are the Citizens who must find the Mafias, and they are helped by the Police and Doctor, while the Mafias must kill all the citizens. Every day, the Citizens must vote for a person they believe to be one of the Mafias, and they must then hide during the night because they are immobilized in a sleep while the Mafias hunt to kill them. It's a cruel and bloody game of cat and mouse that gives rise to desperate and even psychopathic characters.

The series really took the storytelling from a fairly human and brutal angle. We end up with teenagers who kill each other and betray each other between friends, who do unspeakable acts to each other, and the worst is that we can sense desperation and that they hate the fact that they have to do this to survive.

The key word is not to stand out to draw suspicion, and until the last episode there were revelations about characters that we didn't suspect.

The only downside is the ending, although I was expecting a sort of simulation, and that it spoils the story a bit as unrealistic, it teases a second season that I hope will see the light of day. Otherwise, even with this kind of ending, the series is very much enjoyable for its thrilling and suspenseful moments.

Could give a better ending!

It was neither a horror/ action/ mystery, nor a sci-fi. It has no theory or story.
This drama was nothing but just a simple game. You may go for it if you want to watch something like blood shed only. There is nothing more. They're just playing mafia game till the very end, every day 1 or 2 students lose their lives and when someone is left alive to finally escape then BOOM! they all were just dreaming and playing mafia games several times in their dreams. The masterminds were their classmate's parents who wanted to take revenge of her suicide and that too by programming. They have created anything whatever came in their mind and named it as drama.

Night Has Come: A Must-Watch K-Drama Mystery

Night Has Come is a fantastic K-drama mystery that kept me hooked from start to finish. It blends elements reminiscent of Alice in Borderland, with hints of Maze Runner and a touch of Among Us but with a unique K-drama flair. The suspense builds perfectly across all 12 episodes, making it an ideal binge-watch on Viki. The shocking twist at the end was unexpected, and the acting was impressive—everyone delivered outstanding performances. Plus, the graphic violence was intense and well-executed, adding to the thrill. Overall, it's absolutely worth watching!
