It gives me The K2 vibes wherein the bodyguard fells inlove with the woman she is protecting. It has different twist but it has the same concept that the bodyguard fell inlove with her boss. Hope that as the episodes progress we will witness more romance on them. Rain is freaking hot in this series that gives more flavor in the series it also has amazing cast and I have to commend its cinematography it was beautifully shot. More action scenes to see.

The plot to kill the FL orchestrated by MIL and the son is similar to TLE. Same goes for the bodyguard situation.

The same actress is playing the female lead, in both FL has a cheating husband, in both FL is fighting for herself and in both she loves another man who is trying to keep her safe. And both ML are full of passion so it's hard to take your eyes off of the screen.

*SPOILER ALERT*

If you've seen these two dramas, you'll understand why I say they're basically the same thing. They have these things in common.
1. The FL is in a sham marriage that was orchestrated for the benefit of the chaebol family they married into. Of course, they didn't know that at the beginning.
2. The FL and an employee of the company fall in love with the employee looking out for the FL.
3. The FL loses her child.
4. FL's husband has a woman who he already had a son with before he got married. He kept secretly meeting with the woman too. The woman pretends to be friends with FL.
5. One of the sons of the family is the son of a secretary who their mum had an affair with.
6. The FL's mother-in-law thinks her closest employee is working for her goal but he's secretly working for himself.

If you watched one of these shows and liked it, you will probably like the other. Both follow chaebol families and all the scheming it takes to grab power. Both follow a female lead who are out for revenge and have a romance with someone who protects them even if in Red Swan it's a bodyguard and in Graceful Family it's a lawyer/personal assistant. The villain in both shows is someone who is in power and wants to stay there even if it's though cheating the people they were pretending to be loyal to.

Having said that I would say Graceful Family is the better of these two since there are more episodes so the plot is able to be spread out better making big moments feel organic instead of coming out of nowhere to advance the story. I also prefer the straightforward plotting the female lead in Graceful Family does compared to the one in Red Swan who seems more like she stumbles into lucky occurences.

ML has a hidden revenge agenda against people responsible for the death of someone he cherishes. In order to get that revenge, he has to join an organisation with its own problems.

Some good action scenes again, for both dramas - hopefully Red Swan doesn't have an open ending.

There are good fighting scenes, lots of SFX and a very interesting soundtrack for both dramas. In terms of plot, they might not have all that much similar, but in terms of cool effects and explosive scenes... they might. IRIS might be more action-oriented, Red Swan seems to have some side-plots too.

Both are short (10 eps) D+ dramas where the ML is a bodyguard with a past. The FL is a public person of some importance. There might be some cold-hearted romantic development with the lead characters pretending nothing is happening while it is happening.

Hopefully, Red Swan does get a definitive ending.

MMH tried to main 3 things- Revenge, Romance and Extramarital Affairs.

t had a great cause for revenge and a good setup with the time travel..unfortunately carried out by a protagonist who did not look like someone who was on a mission after being cheated on, betrayed and eventually murdered but given a 2nd chance in life to correct things. There was very little conviction in her act. The retaliations and conflicts with the main antagonist felt so flat and almost childish throughout. It was challenging to fully empathize with her character or become emotionally invested in her route to victory because of her attitude. Ultimately ended feeling unsatisfied with her victory. PMY suffered almost every possible misfortune yet had lesser burning desire than BoA who came late into the picture with super overboard reactions for what seemed like relatively smaller reasons. Sums it up really.
