SSofFV is a far more compelling wuxia where the fighting make sense in the story and the choreography of the fights is so creative it is like dancing. ZZA seems to overly 'trigger' a fight every other minute (like Blood River) but starts to run out of steam in regards to storyline complexity at episode 12.

Similar historical context to the Song dynasty. Watching SIP makes you understand ZZA better, why he is such a righteous character and prioritizing legal order.

This drama doesn't directly connect to the others, but the plot structure is pretty much the same. Here's what I mean:
| It starts with the main lead getting poisoned – and on top of that, he's a skilled swordsman with a solid reputation in the Jiang Hu World.
| The story focuses on solving weird cases, like a mystery?of?the?week format, but with martial arts.
| The characters travel around the martial arts world – lots of wandering, visiting different places, and getting into trouble along the way.
| They gather a group of companions, slowly building a team of friends who fight together.
| Searching for herbal medicine to cure the main lead's poison, which keeps hanging over the whole plot.
| The romance is almost non?existent – the drama barely touches on love. It's almost entirely focused on the friendship between the three main characters.
| Honestly, the three leads in each drama have nearly identical personalities too – like, you've seen one, you've seen the others.

Smart, capable leads rather than naïve protagonists. In Blossom, Dou Zhao relies on strategy and foresight; in Zhan Zhao Adventures, the leads survive through intelligence, investigation, and martial skill. partnership dynamics.
The main characters start as allies facing danger together and gradually build deep trust. is a light romance-only drama; both mix court politics, mysteries, and action sequences. people. The protagonists are driven by exposing wrongdoing and helping others.
secondary in Zhan Zhao Adventures. the same mix of intelligent characters, political intrigue, and strong lead chemistry, but with more martial-arts adventure.

Both shows have the character Zhan Zhao. In Justic Bao, he worked for the man as his bodyguard/enforcer. While Zhan Zhao Adventure is his spin-off.
