How Many Times Can You Stab the Hero and Not Kill Him?
Light watching when you need something in-between serious titles. The ML's character got stabbed by the FL's character so many times it became tedious. Her quest for revenge became tedious. One minute she would realize the truth of the situation, and then in the next breath go right back to her revenge quest. Not too smart, that one. And then there was the 'twin' fake-face twist that was just unnecessary after a while.I like this ML and he was just playing the part he was given. I hope to see him in better and more worthy productions in the future.
It was very uncomfortable watching the torture scenes - stabbing and more stabbing. I think the writer and the director must have some kind of fetish.
Again, not to be taken too seriously - this one really is just for weekend watching of filling time.

Good drama
This drama is one of the best web drama so far in 2023. The quality and acting is just perfect and the ratio of flirting is just the right amount but I only have one problem. I get that the FL is out for revenge but there is no need to make the character very stupid. I understand when she stabbed the ML the first time in episode 12 or 13 I guess am not sure. But stabbing him again in episode 18 just shows that the writer doesn’t know what his doing. How can there be such a stupid misunderstanding twice in a row. That clearly shows that she doesn’t love him at all. Because if does, she will try to find evidence he actually killed her father first. Moreover the day her father died the ML was kinda with her. And why is she always easily manipulated and swayed by emotions. Even his dump brother manipulates her despite the fact that she knows he has been lying to her. Well that’s what the writer wants and it just shows how the writers creativity and imagination went down the hill eventually. But that’s how most Asian dramas are anyway. They start off well and then find ways to kill the show eventually.Was this review helpful to you?
Very perilous for the ML...
This love is indeed very perilous... but only for the ML. This guy gets stabbed and poisoned so many times that I gave up counting. The way this character is written is a collection of the worst clichés surrounding male leads in historical and xianxia dramas. He is indestructible, will do everything for the FL, except maybe talking to her honestly or confessing his love.The FL on the other hand is a mixed package. Sometimes she comes across as this gutsy lady who wants to avenge her family, sometimes she is the clever doctor and sometimes she is a meek as a flower and as dumb as a brick.
All the antagonists had at least some decent motivation which sadly isn't a given in C-drama.
The plot of this drama could have been interesting, but the writing was just so-so which on many occasions made the story seem repetitive and indecisive. The acting was pretty good though, which is the reason why I watched it to the end.
In terms of romance this drama offers more than most of the recent high profile dramas as it has quite a few kisses and scenes of intimacy. The chemistry between the couple is really good and at least on the romance side the writers spared us a lot of the usual cliches.
Overall, it is a pleasant short drama to watch as a filler or doing some chores.

This drama have potential
I give a quick reviewfirst half of the episodes its good and watchable
and second half the story became so draggy and annoying.
if you came here to watch plenty of romantic scene and force kisses this drama will not disappoint you.

The Female lead is Slow??
Am going to blame everything that went wrong in this drama on the writer,this would have been a very good drama if they had just made the FL a little smarter,like a tiny bit.I watched this drama after seeing "The Only Girl You Havent seen"
Both FLs are doctors of some sought and they are both revenge driven,its just that in "TOGYHS" the Fl got her strength and smartness from her drive (Revenge).
I understand,every FL cant be the same,you guys made Daisy li's character so shallow and gullible ?? like common !!
Wang zuyi and Daisy li did good,i think they would have done better if the writer had something better for them and its because of the leads the drama got the rating 7/10

Ridiculous Unrealistic Plot
The drama started strong, but at some point the plot descends into the absurd and ridicuous. The ML insists on acting aloof and non-caring until the FL's life is in danger, but it is the very fact that he doesn't tell her the truth that leads her into danger. And the most ridiculous part of this drama is how gullible the FL is. Anyone, a complete stranger that she meets for a day, can make up any story and she will believe it and commit murder base on what she hears with NO evidence to back it up. Who is that STUPID??? And how many times can she stab the ML and NOT already killed him?This drama is simply not watchable.

Great MINI. Solid Must Watch!
Enjoyed the varied layers within the storyline. This was very good for a miniseries. The ML and FL were dynamic in conveying all the twists and turns within the script. Their chemistry was magic. The OST and production stayed true in setting the tone without becoming cheesy or distracting. The villain aspect was tightly executed which made the overcoming aspect of the leads endearing. I have seen both leads in other miniseries. They both are strong and deserve lead opportunities in main broadcasts. Both are very talented and worth the watch. This is series has a cute storyline that doesn't go overboard with side couples, unnecessary incidents or conversations. Much appreciated. The cast and crew delivered. Dumbest female lead ever.....
Man i give up , too unbearable to watch. This drama is literally how many times can the female lead stab the male lead. Seriously this female lead has no brains whatsoever. She is so easily persuaded and manipulated. All she does is not trust the male lead and tries to kill him . Yet the male lead doesnt want to tell her anything and believes that by pushing her away thats the best. One is super physical the other no. communication. The storyline is all over the place. Nasty work of art with superfluous depictions of violence.
I would like to know the name of the unspeakable author, who is responsible for sadism, violence, torture, rape, psychological terror, especially at the end of the series. I would not have expected the Chinese Film Control to allow such filth.The various cruelties took up a lot of space, and the filmmakers wallowed in detailed depictions. The bad guys almost always had a free hand, but the plot was anyway only the vehicle of the disturbed filmmakers for their favorite themes: Forced sex (in front of the tortured lover) violence, humiliation, poorly motivated mostly by jealousy.
The revenge on the villains are short and very mild for the misery they have caused. Instead, the heroine even skins her own breast as revenge on the chief criminal!
The wretched work torments us for four and a half (4.5) hours! But the revenge sequence lasts only two (2) minutes, which is filled with superfluous talk about childhood mistakes. Finally the end comes with a quick sword stroke, mercifully for the criminal.
You sick writers, hey director: what's wrong with you? Shouldn't you better get psychiatric treatment before you spout such filth?

could have been better
The leads have good chemistry, but the plot was annoying.So many misunderstanding and lack of communication. I know it was to extend the drama, but it was exhausting.
Also, poor ML was stabbed and hurt so many times because of FL. I loved the ML, but FL was stupid and so easily manipulated.

I would have liked better a plot with FL knowing the truth and them working together sooner than her being manipulated many times by the SL and always turning her back on ML
