Absolutely Fun Packed
Fake marriages are no new trope in KDramaland, but somehow the crew has succeeded in making the plot refreshing. The marriage here is justified with real socio-economic challenges faced by South Korea, and a business firm that attempts to eradicate such crisis through exclusive employee incentives. What one must remember is how they shouldn't seek logic or relatability in this drama as it is clearly over dramatised for the comedy aspect. Regardless of that, it does succeed in keeping the audience engaged, and had multiple scenes where I burst out laughing. This is my favourite airing drama at the moment. It is an easy watch, as it is straightforward, fast-paced, and doesn't make one overanalyze things. The second lead couple also has a fresh storyline, it doesn't feel forced in without a purpose. It is only the third friend's story that hasn't really offered anything substantial [or proved it's potential] to the plot yet, hopefully this will be resolved in future episodes.
Eagerly waiting for upcoming episodes.

WHATCH IT!!!
This drama is really very unique and I am not talking about the plot. We have seen many shows with similar plot (especially Japanese ones who are obsessed with this idea). But it is the way they interwoven the comedic aspects and the real life problems so subtly and effortlessly without imposing anything on viewers is really commendable. It has been a while since I enjoyed any Kdrama without yawning or feeling irritated with their stupid storylines. This show is definitely a breath of fresh air. The characters feel so real and relatable. Plus the comedy is not too much or too stupid. It balances out everything with the serious and emotional scenes that will bring tears in your eyes to all the banter of the main leads. Even the sub plot and the the rest of the cast is so enjoyable and fun to watch that you would either smile ear to ear or laugh your as* off through out the episode. I was little worried about the chemistry of the main lead but man... it is sizzling hot.Was this review helpful to you?

I have finally decided to drop this drama...
Many may be confused why I waited every week for the episodes and then just gave up on episode 10, so I want to clearly want to explain my thought on this narrative. This story felt like a slice of life comedy since no matter what dramatic situation the character was in there was a bit of a comical twist as well as a deep topic with a dark turn.
Example:
One of the fl sister is in a polyamorous relationship, the fl found out and thought one of the sister's partners was cheating and beat him up with rage (filmed in a comical way from the exaggerated attacks comical) then finds out she is pregnant.
Another of her sister wrote spicy novels and a the CEO finds out his mum read it so spammed it with hate from shock. While serving his community service from the hate comments their romance arc started but then it touched on the sisters trauma with the harshness of the comments leading to her abusive dad.
In conclusion the side plot bought in dark situations from everyday life but added some comical element to not make the side story not too dark.
Or some stories are just comical e.g the fl planning a wedding just to get her cheating ex boyfriend's wedding money back
But all of these drastically contrasted the main plot e.g. the potential chaebol that became an orphan who is now looking for revenge is just deeply contrasts all the other topics written in the show and makes it seem so dramatic because it really stuck out for me. Which was not funny, just serious and very stereotypical. I think this just really put me off because they primarily shifted the focus to that plot which annoyed me.
In summary this is MY OPINION about this drama, I honestly found the main plot , the whole chaebol thingy just so boring because it is a very saturated market and has been around since for ever so I got bored and decided to drop it...

not my cup of tea.
started watching this because i saw so many reviews saying its a great romcom but i was disappointed, maybe this drama isnt for me after all.found myself skipping scenes or fast forwarding more often than i wanted to because i was just so bored while watching. 6 episodes in and i still couldn't bring myself to like the leads or any other character enough for me to continue till the end. it fell flat for me, enough to finally be done with it and drop it.

Good Drama, Disappointing Final Episode
Wtf was that last episode? It looks like the writers only had 11 episodes done, and the last one wasn’t planned. Why ruin their relationship for just 50 minutes? Why kill THE MOTHER? Even with all the drama, the main couple was only interesting in the beginning episodes, while the second main couple stayed interesting and enjoyable throughout the drama. All the plot around the FL's mother took too long, only for them to kill her off at the end! -0.5 for the last episode and -0.5 for the lack of variety in the main couple’s storyline. The good points were the humor, with all the running gags, and the small details that added so much to the drama. Overall, it's a good drama but with a pointless last episode... (For a 12-episode drama, that's a shame.)

This series lived up to the true romantic comedy, I loved it
I loved this series from start to finish, both the main couple and the secondary couple gave a great performance, I laughed a lot and was also moved by this series, I just thought they should have focused more on the main couple, the ending wasn't bad But I was hoping to see them getting married for real! This series became one of my favorites of 2024, along with Queen of Tears and Lovely Runner! observation here, what bothered me was the broadcaster, I noticed that they pinned videos from the love next door series at the top of social media, but they didn't pin the final chapters of no gain no love, and for me love next door is really bad ?Was this review helpful to you?
A ROMCOM DELIGHT, but 12 episodes are just too short!
It’s been so long since I’ve found myself giggling and squealing over a K-drama, but ‘No Gain No Love’ brought back all those emotions. While the story itself was pretty mid and followed familiar rom-com tropes, the drama still exceeded my expectations. And even though certain plot points didn’t always make sense, it remained entertaining throughout. One of the standout elements of this drama is how much I rooted for both the main and secondary couples. Both pairings were incredibly charming, and their chemistry was off the charts. Visually and personality-wise, they matched perfectly.
Shin Min Ah was, as always, a delight. She truly doesn’t age! Her character in this drama was irresistibly adorable, and her acting felt effortless. As a woman, even I fell for her! Her expressions, energy, and overall presence added so much warmth to the show. Honestly, she carried a large part of the charm.
I was a bit skeptical about Kim Young Dae initially, as I haven’t been his biggest fan in the past. While there were moments when his acting felt a bit stiff, he still won me over. His chemistry with Shin Min Ah was undeniably sweet, and together, they really made my heart flutter. For me, this drama showcased a new side to him that I didn’t mind at all.
Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun brought some much-needed comedy to the series. They were pure entertainment, and Han Ji Hyun was absolutely adorable. I totally understand why Bok Gyu Hyeon (Lee Sang Yi’s character) fell for her—I would too! Their dynamic was so fun to watch, and I can’t wait for their spin-off! It would be a lot of fun!
While the show delivered on the romance and comedy fronts, it wasn’t without its flaws. The story started out strong but became disappointing midway through as the trajectory seemed to shift. A major example is how Ahn Woo Jae—who was a key figure in the first few episodes— just disappeared midway through the story. It felt like the storyline was dropped entirely.
With only 12 episodes, the drama simply didn’t have enough time to unpack all the storylines it introduced. The ending felt rushed and unfinished, and I wish they had given the plot more room to breathe. An extended episode count could have helped smooth out these issues and provided a more satisfying conclusion.
In the end, ‘No Gain No Love’ is an enjoyable watch that delivers on its rom-com promise. Despite its imperfections, the charming cast, delightful chemistry between both couples, and genuine moments of comedy kept me invested.

Best RomCom so far!
Love this series! If you're looking for a K-drama that's very light yet very warm, this is it! All the actors are excellent at portraying their characters. Kim Young-dae was so charming here; I fell in love with him right then and there. And Shin Min Ah, as expected, is always phenomenal at her acting. I laughed so much, and their story is realistic and relatable. The only thing I could complain about is the finale. I wished they'd prolonged or added more scenes between Ji Uk and Hae Young. I would love to see more scenes of them being affectionate after reconciling, perhaps re-marrying again and building their family.
Other than that, I'm mostly satisfied. Oh, and didn't I say already that it's the best rom-com ever? You'll never regret watching it, I swear!

Entertaining but Forgettable....
This was an entertaining watch, one of those dramas I watched today but will most probably forget tomorrow or the day after... as I had to take a break in my binge (a few days) and it took me a while to remember what the plot was once I started watching the last two episodes. While I do not like the female lead. By not like I mean I generally try to avoid her dramas, this was one of her better works, still not very likeable but indeed bearable.
Pretty much every single one of the side characters stories out shine the leads, by chemistry, story line, acting... You name it the other characters carry this show and are what makes it an entertaining watch worthy of that next episode button.
Male lead was fun in the beginning giving me my beloved cliches bit grew dull towards the end all in all an ok way to pass time...

This series left me wanting more, I will watch it again! to satisfy my longing!
THE chemistry of the first couple, Shin Min Ah as Son Hae Young and Kim Young Dae as Kim Ji Uk is magnificent, the The way these two look at each other is simply fascinating! Most of all, I loved how the first couple's love blossomed. The same goes for the second couple as well. I just wish the last chapters had a lot more scenes of the main couple, I simply loved their romance! I loved this drama. I don't really have any complaints about this one, just praise, so I'll give it 10/10. Not excluding the beautiful OST of this drama. I loved them. This series left me wanting more, I will watch it again! to satisfy my longing!
