mmm explotation with a side of stalking
Listen - I wanted to give this one a try. I struggled a lot with the premise, in another genre of fiction accepting the 'deal' would be the start of your own personal nightmare, not your own personal weatherman. I can see why people might enjoy this, it's got "subtle" (or maybe not so subtle) undertones of BDSM, but I think that even the most adept practitioners of this would say that consent is a big part, and this relationship is purely based on this guy exploiting an uneven power dynamic. It doesn't really get better, in the later episodes the guy puts a tracking device on his phone (but it's just because he loves him so much, REALLY). There's a lot of boring plot about the miscommunication that the relationship is built on (one party thinks that it's just a transactional relationship while the other party seems to be struggling to put into words how he's feeling - not surprising since he couldn't just ask the guy out, he had to come up with an elaborate scheme to have utter control over him). There's a lot of weird, controlling behavior on his part. In some of these BLs I'm willing to let it go, but this poor guy can't even see his friends without his stalker boyfriend showing up and dragging his ass home. I don't know, it's fine, I guess. I realize a lot of these things are a tenet of the genre, but it's getting kind of tiresome. It's not one of those that's really gonna make you feel ~refreshed~ after watching. It's probably just going to remind you of your college ex-boyfriend. In another universe, it's just 'Killing Stalking' with fluff. Was this review helpful to you?

I really didn't like this
Okay. I've seen people justify the relationship portrayed in this series by linking it to BDSM practices and dom/sub roleplay. Right off the bat, I'm going to say I know very little about BDSM. But, as I understand it, it has very clear rules and sets firm boundaries in order to guarantee that both parties involved feel in control of their body and their autonomy. It uses safe words, and always respects consent. This was not present in this series. There was no consent. Segasaki was grabbing Yoh and throwing him on the bed whenever he felt like it, without asking him if he even wanted to do that at that moment. He even ties Yoh up at one point, without consulting it first.
I'm confused about how they wanted me to feel about this couple. Should I ship them (I don't)? Should I be concerned for Yoh's safety (I was)? Should I find Segasaki's attitude attractive (I don't)?
Honestly, this was just incredibly hard to watch.
Yoh had no development at all. He's a very meek character, very soft-spoken, lets others walk all over him, and is easily influenced (or rather manipulated). He doesn't question Segasaki's possessiveness of him. He doesn't fight back when he's forbidden from seeing any other person that isn't Segasaki, be it a man or a woman, a friend or an acquaintance. He cooks for Segasaki (whatever food the latter asks for), and sleeps with him when the other feels like it. He doesn't even KNOW Segasaki likes him until the last episode or so - when Segasaki tells him directly (and Yoh thinks 'I thought I was worthless'). I'm just- this is so bad? Someone please save this man??
Yoh also never emotes. He has no emotions other than surprise, submission and slight joy (let's mention that the happiest I've seen him was when he was hanging out with his friend's husband). There's nothing else.
Segasaki is just despicable. Maybe it was intended, maybe it wasn't, but I just can't stand him. I've already said that, but he's so possessive and controlling and kind of uses Yoh like he's his personal toy. He's all over him when he's jealous of the 'editor' (which doesn't even exist), then ditches him and ignores him after a misunderstanding (and doesn't let Yoh explain anything). He tells Yoh his life is 'his', warns him not to 'run away' while on top of him and tying him up, and ends up blaming the misunderstandings they've had on Yoh (apparently he does things on purpose to confuse Segasaki and make him jealous. ...Okay).
So. I guess I didn't like this series. I actually kind of hated it. If its intention was to portray a toxic relationship, I don't think it was made clear enough. And if it was meant to represent BDSM, I think (again, not an expert) it was done poorly.

absolute great acting
This is just too good and hits right to heartThe storyline is one of the best I have ever seen and the performance by the the actors is at it's peak
You can't just get enough of this and would crave for more
One of the best things about it is how it portrays miscommunication and misunderstanding which happened , it was a delight to watch it . It feels natural and realistic , the emotions AHHHHHHHHH I just love it so much
I'm looking forward to the next episode and I can't wait to see where the story goes

It's AMAZING
This Drama is UNDERATED.When i watched the first two episodes, I wanted to drop it, but im happy i didn't!
The acting is just AMAZING and the chemistry i fricking INTENSE!
The romantic scenes were amazing and the actors looked like an real couple! Someone could say that mizuki was kinda toxic, but I liked his role a really much and i think he and his serious face were really suitable!
The story was interesting and i wasnt bored even once!
I was actualy really scared that there will be too much nsfw or drama (i hate love triangles), but it was more likely relaxing and all u could se were male leads!
I personaly REALLY liked it, I think i will rewatch it soon!! :)

Fired the Weatherman
It's been a minute since I've seen a drama so completely lackluster and pointless. My expectations weren't high, frankly I wasn't sure what to expect, but I certainly thought it was going to be better than it was. I truly don't understand the relatively high rating this drama has. The relationship is toxic, which is fine, not every relationship is sunshine and daisies and it can be interesting when those kinds of toxic relationships are explored. But there is no exploration here, no sense of why these people are together, and no character development to bring clarity. It's just eight episodes of nothingness that left me wondering what the heck I'd just watched.Plots are apparently boring as there is barely one present. I kept waiting for something to happen, for some kind of progress, but nothing ever happened. It's basically two men going around in circles and nothing ever gets accomplished. It was incredibly frustrating to watch and I kept wondering, how on earth are they going to give this a satisfying ending? The answer quite simply is that they didn't. The pacing is mediocre, just good enough to keep me watching to the end. That's the best I can say for it.
The characters are frustrating and weak. They're supposed to be in love, but neither one is good at expressing that love or even admitting to it. They can't even communicate to any real degree. Their conversations are by and large short and stilted. There are several instances of miscommunication because they are both incapable of opening their mouths. Segasaki is a meteorologist who's charming on tv, but at home is less than agreeable. He treats Yoh as more of a servant than someone he cares about and that never really goes away. Rather than developing positively as the series progresses, he grows ever more possessive of Yoh to the point that he literally ties him up to prevent him from leaving. Yoh, for his part, is a very passive person who fails to speak up for himself or really do anything for himself period. He takes Segasaki's treatment and while he contemplates leaving him, never actually does anything to facilitate that idea. He's just such an ineffectual character. The ending is very similar to the beginning, except they're supposedly happy. Yoh has apparently come to the conclusion that he likes Segasaki's abuse and Segasaki is ever so slightly more attentive, though still very possessive. They both just lack any kind of real depth of character and there's nothing present to make me care about either of them. It's a huge disconnect between them and the audience. And despite the fact that their initial history with how they met and connected is shown, the in between of that time period and the present is left a mystery. The character development is basically nil which is disappointing because there could have been a lot more to it.
Both actors are fairly generically cute and that was the biggest thing they had going for them since their acting skills left something to be desired. Even if characters lack in vocal communication, a lot can be conveyed in other ways. Unfortunately that didn't happen here. Their overall performance was as lackluster as the story. Funnily enough, their chemistry during the intimate scenes was actually quite good. It's just a pity that didn't translate to the more mundane scenes.
The production value was good as is to be expected with a Japanese production. The opening and ending credits were very aesthetically pleasing with music that meshed well.
Ultimately I found this drama to be disappointing and incredibly mediocre. It's aesthetics are about all it has going for it and that's simply not enough. With a stronger story and characters, it could have been compelling and unique but unfortunately, it is neither of those. If you want a drama that leaves you feeling unsatisfied, this is the one for you.

I am confused
I have this urge to say something because I only read positive reviews but there are things that just don´t sit right with me. First of all I acknowledge that the series is adapted from the manga "Taikan Yohou". So I can´t say anything about the manga itself but only about the episodes I watched so far. In my point of view it is not just about little miscommunication and misunderstanding. I mean what is with the stalking in episode 6 for example? I can´t explain it well but it is just a feeling. A lot of things just feel so wrong to me.Yeah they are hot. And yeah it seems to be consensual and they actually have feelings for eachother. But I have a weird feeling while watching this series. Can anybody relate?

This series is a 10
I like plots like this, realistic ones. When I watch Yoh I understand when sometimes he can’t speak up and say the things he wants to say. I relate much to Yoh so I love him. I just have to say how hot they are! They look so handsome and cute at the same time. I saw the behind the scenes and they’re so cute together! Mizuki getting jealous is the cutest! I love this series and I hope you will too. It’s a shame it’ll only get a few episodes and we’re nearing the end but I pray for season 2!! I don’t know why the rating is messed up but this series is a 10 for me <3Was this review helpful to you?

the title literally says
omg! i realized the title of this drama is very clever! the weatherman really waits for the right weather to engage into his lover. i love his consideration of one simple comment by his lover although i always don't like to see a misunderstanding turns into a big deal but this misunderstanding is literally soooo cute! always love a good character development of the character from the beginning towards the end. both on their live and their love. this is red flag turns green flag that can be enjoyed in light hearted mindsetWas this review helpful to you?

Classic Toxic Yaoi
It’s definitely very reminiscent of like early 2000s toxic yaoi lol.Pros
-The leads have insanely good chemistry
-Solid acting
-Utilizes one of my favorite filming techniques of just letting more intimate or emotional scenes breathe. No music, no sound effects, just a quiet and raw moment. *chefs kiss*
Cons
-The ML is domineering, manipulative and controlling.
-Textbook example of an abusive relationship. The ML is extremely controlling over the MCs life. He doesn’t want him having friends and consistently tries to isolate him from the outside world. When he’s not being controlling, he’s being physically aggressive by constantly being rough with MC (grabbing his face, manhandling him, literally pushing him around). Like yikes
-Seriously, he is like every red flag
-And then they pull the “oh well MC secretly kinda likes it”. Bro, I will throw up right here and right now.
-My least favorite trope is also used constantly: Complete lack of communication. Just SPEAK to each other, it would literally solve like 50% of your problems (the other 50% is MLs terrible personality…)
Do I regret watching it? No lol it was fairly entertaining. If you have a partner like ML should you run for the hills? Yes. Luckily this is fiction

What a toxic relationship
Weatherman? Good idea.Weatherman x mangaka? Damn interesting.
Surprisingly toxic 5 stars weatherman love life? Sht up I will definitely watch it.
BUT LITTLE DID I KNOW
Strange...weird...the fk is this?
Story is weird but I strangely wanna know what's next, what kind of crazy action they'd do in the next episode. The misunderstanding is the most annoying thing in this drama, it is happening in every damn episode, and there's always new misunderstanding everyday like is this a story about how love could happen even without a proper communication? Like hell that'd happened __-
Next, the toxicity is mind blowing oh my goodness gracious. The relationship is too toxic, leads are walking redflags. Obsession, overly controlling behaviour, to sexual harrassment, all that you can find in this so called masterpiece✨️ What a great idea, yeah?🥹 If you can't stand overly toxic romance then STAY AWAY FROM THIS DRAMA! I'm warning ya.
Acting...not that good but I can feel what they want to deliver. The acting might looks boring and makes you sleepy but that's how it supposed to be so prepare your coffee☕️
Music not my taste and forgettable. What I remember is the cricket sound effect and the typical piano instrumental for morning days in dorama.
Do I want to rewatch this? Yes but not all episodes, just the hot steamy- KIDDING!! Maybe only the "nagi" ep or any ep with their university days bcs the leads younger self were too shining shimmering splendid.
Do I recommend this? Well this is an enjoyable one time watch so what do you waiting for? Just watch it.

Toxic Yet Enjoyable Cautionary Tale...
This is pretty much what you get when you take one mr timid, and one mr popular and put them in the same spot make them fall in love or lust or what not... In a drama where the assumptions do all the talking. Basically having these two live toghter as a spouses/Slave-Master/Kiddnapper-Kidnapee without actually communicating with each other at all, ever...Letting nes imagination run wild and so on...All surrounded by rain, sunshine, and beautiful umbrellas... Umbrellas that should be red to represent the flags our male lead has but are kind of transparent holographic instead.
That said this was a very entertaining watch, with some fun lines more a record in misunderstanding steamy (pretty much everything) and while I do believe this should be seen as a cautionary tale rather then a romance I did manage to find some good in every single character and even kind of fall in love with mr. timids best friend.

One of the best BL's I've seen
The chemistry of the two ML's grabbed me by the throat right from episode one, and it didn't let go right up to the end.The acting was fantastic!!
The NC scenes were on fire!!
The music was the perfect complement to the show.
Story:
An unsuccessful manga artist accepts a deal from his old college senior who is now a successful TV meteorologist: he'll move in with the meteorologist and be supported by him while trying to build up a manga writing career, and in exchange, he'll do whatever the meteorologist wants. His "duties" include housework, laundry, and cooking. They also "sleep" together.
The meteorologist is very brusque and somewhat autocratic, sending the manga artist text messages instructing him which meals to cook for dinner, and talking very little.
The manga artist goes along with it all. In the beginning, the sexual component of their relationship shocked him. With time, he grew to not only like it but to anticipate it. Eventually, he realizes two things: 1- the meteorologist is finicky and annoying. And 2- he's fallen for him-bad. All of which means that the poor manga artist is royally screwed.
And that's how the show opens.
Make no mistake, this is not dubious consent nor r*pe. I strongly disagree with commenters who've called it so. Or those who've called the meteorologist toxic. The manga artist is able to say "no" and any time and doesn't. Although surprised and taken aback at first, he does choose to go along with what's happening and comes to the realization that he likes it, and has from the start. He liked the meteorologist in college but didn't understand his feelings. The meteorologist liked the manga artist in college but never shared his feelings.
The crux of this show is the manga artist suffering through "unrequited love" and being very closed-off emotionally towards the meteorologist, despite always following his wishes and orders.
And the meteorologist being completely gaga over the manga artist but never clearly saying it; only showing it in ways that completely go above the poor manga artist's head. AKA two clueless idiots in love LOL.
They have a ton (and I mean A TON) of misunderstandings.
But they are both so cute and loveable. And the comedy is top tier. So you're left laughing, crying, and rooting for them all at the same time, without the frustrated feeling usually invoked when heavier dramas follow similar plotlines.
This show is very lighthearted. The comedic moments are plentiful and pulled off very, very well.
My one complaint is the ending. The actual final moments of the show. We get to see the happily ever after. But (spoiler!!!) they don't actually say it clearly. The words they say heavily imply how they feel and they say it to each other. And their actions show that they are both finally open and honest with each other. But still! I like my endings wrapped up and tied neatly with a bow. This show didn't give me that. But this show was one giant tease right from episode one, so who am I to complain that they stayed true to character right up to the end? LOL
Anyway, I loved loved loved this show. And highly recommend it. <3
