I was not fully satisfied with the story

After watching all the episodes, I believe the story could have been better developed. The romantic scenes lacked depth and could have been more engaging. Additionally, the excuses and coincidences needed more logical explanations to make the plot believable. Overall, the drama left me unsatisfied and often frustrated. Despite some good moments, it fell short of my expectations and missed opportunities to deliver a more compelling narrative. It had potential but didn't fully live up to it. It doesn't has any rewatch value.

Nothing Special

This drama is similar to "Behind Your Touch"—there's a miracle and a serial killer, but "Behind Your Touch" is better.

- Only 1 or 2 characters are suspicious compared to "BYT," which keeps us suspicious of everyone.
- There's no puzzle that makes us think, "I wonder if A, B, or C is the killer."
- I love Lim Sun's scenes more than Lee Mi Jin's.
- I don't know, but Lee Mi Jin's friend seems kind of useless compared to Bae OK Hee from "BYT."
- I don't like how they focused on the love line for almost 13 episodes instead of the killer. It's not like "BYT."
- Is Idol Police (Ko Won)'s character just like that? That's it?
- I don't know, but the killer's acting doesn't feel like that of a killer. I mean, I wasn't surprised by their appearance—nothing special.
- I don't know why Idol Police figured out about Lee Mi Jin faster than Gye Ji Ung did.
- Even the last episode felt just normal, nothing special.
- What I love about this drama is the comedy, especially when Lim Sun appears.
- I don't know, there's nothing special that made me think, "Wow! Fantastic! Amazing!" or anything like that.

A romantic story with an exciting dark note. The transition from young girl to "ajumma" is a pretty good new idea. The jealousy of the workaholic lawyer and the cute idol is funny. Her parents and her friend are also great characters.
I looked at it with interest.
In the end, I wondered why she happened to change her personality and what she did to get back to normal.
Looking back, I missed something, as if all the pieces of the puzzle didn't fall into place. The plot could have been better developed (capture of the culprit, cat, couple formed by the friend and the investigator, after 6 months lawyer in Seoul).
NB The topic of job hunting, I think is a real struggle. In this case the poor girl is very competent in everything and yet she doesn't find a job until she's in her fifties.

This review is going to contain heavy spoilers so if you haven't watched this drama yet and is planning on watching then don't read this review.

I came across this drama in my Netflix recommendations. I like the main ML because he can fight and the first Korean action drama that I watched was Rugal. I love that cast and wish all of them would do another action drama together.

Anyway, this drama is about a female who keeps taking civil service exams and keeps failing and it finally gets to her emotionally. Then a cat emerges and that's when everything starts.

In the beginning this drama hit home to me. It shows what one goes through when trying to do something they love but can't. One would want to quit because of that. Not getting too personal but I can relate to some of the scenarios in this drama and how some character felt.

Heck, there were a few scenes in this drama that nearly had me in tears. The two FL capitalized on their emotions very well! I liked the two main ML's as well.

What I didn't like-which I never like-is the romance factor. I knew it was going to turn into some type of sappy romance story and was going to heavily focus on that and derive from the main plot-which it did. The other thing I truly despise in a Korean romance drama is the fact that they make the female turn into a whiny spoiled two year old idiot! Just when I started to like the first FL's character she starts talking like a two year old who throws a temper tantrum because they can't get what they want and she does this in just about every episode!
The second thing that I don't like is the over the top unnecessary comedy. I actually love the second MML but hated that they made him the silly side kick. I liked when he was serious and gritted my teeth when he became the comedic idiot when the time didn't call for a comedic idiot.

I liked the best friend. I wish I could be besties with her, lol!

Now here's where I'm going to talk about the 'why Ms. Night and Day happened....That's it right there! Why did the MFL change into a older woman by day and go back to herself by night? What was the purpose of that cat? Throughout the beginning they were looking for the cat but then it was forgotten. Why?? What was the purpose?? Then by the 15th episode, if what happened to her was a curse the explanation just dissipated...like the reason never existed.

The second love syndrome needs to stop as well. I hate when two people vie for one person and that person always chooses the opposite.

I loved the parents but their reaction to their daughter changing was small. 16 episodes that was over and hour and they only had a five second reaction to their daughter's appearance??

Last but not least, it also irritates me when the bad person has been dealt with but then there's one last episode to watch. Honestly everything could've ended with episode 15 with the ML going back to Seoul and the MFL finally gets a actual job but they had to do the cliche thing where both just so happens to end up in the same place and continue that sappy romance that was suppose to be left behind.

It would've been a very excellent drama had the writers not have to throw romance in everything. Dramas can survive without the childish sappy romance you know!

Good Enough

Korean Drama '' Miss Night and Day '' is a fantasy romantic comedy with some mystery thrown in the mixture.

The drama starts off pretty strongly, and it handles the fantasy element well and smoothly, embedding it nicely in the main plot.

The use of the mystery case, along with the romance which was sprinkled in it and wasn't the main focus of the story, thankfully, all worked in the story's favor.

However, the final episodes were not that good. The drama got messy and the fantasy element was awkwardly resolved.

On the other hand, the performances were all enjoyable by everyone in the cast.

So, overall, seven out of ten.

Transformation at Sunrise: Is it absurd or brilliant??

After watching this drama, I’m left with mixed emotions. Let’s start with the positives, though. One thing I genuinely liked was the character development of Lee Mi-jin. Her journey from frustration and hopelessness after failing the civil service exam to navigating a bizarre transformation kept me hooked. The whole concept of her becoming an older woman due to a magical cat was fresh and gave the show a fun, whimsical feel. The blend of fantasy and thriller elements also worked well, especially when it intersected with Gye Ji-ung’s missing women investigation. Watching the two worlds collide was intriguing.

Another thing that stood out was the comedic relief provided by Lim Sun. She was hilarious, especially when Ji-ung and Ju Byeong-deok tried everything to make her quit, but she always turned things in her favour. Moments like those brought levity to the drama, which I appreciated.

However, I had quite a few dislikes, starting with the overly long and unnecessary scenes. For instance, Mi-jin could have saved herself so much trouble by revealing her secret to her parents and Ji-ung earlier. I mean, why keep sneaking out and hiding when a simple explanation could have resolved everything? That part felt dragged out just to add artificial tension.

Another aspect that bothered me was how the storyline around the killer was handled. Once the killer was identified, the drama lost its intensity. The conversations between Mi-jin and the killer were overly drawn-out, and it grated on my nerves how much time was wasted on pointless back-and-forths. It felt like filler, especially when you’re waiting for the action to move forward.

Also, I was annoyed by some character decisions. Like when Mi-jin runs off to confront the killer without calling the police—why?

Finally, the chemistry between Mi-jin and Ji-ung wasn’t as strong as I hoped. The moments they shared didn’t feel natural, and their relationship lacked depth. It’s disappointing because I had high expectations for them. On the other hand, Ko Won’s affection for Mi-jin felt more genuine, but he sort of disappeared in some episodes towards the end.

In summary, while the drama had its charming moments and an intriguing concept, some parts felt unnecessarily stretched, and the tension fizzled out towards the end. Nonetheless, it’s still a drama that kept me invested despite its flaws.

Female characters - Im Sun, Mi Jin, Im Cheong - steal the thunder!

Having completed Emergency Couple a few months ago, I was excited to learn about Choi Jin Hyuk's new project Miss Night and Day.

What I liked:
1) Pacing - I only started watching this show when it had already aired 6 episodes. So I binged all 6 episodes on a Sunday. Overall, I enjoyed the first 12 episodes of the series as it was refreshing, fast-paced.
2) Lee Jung Eun - It's wonderful to see her in a main role (loved her in Strangers from Hell, Fight for My Way)! Brilliantly cast. Despite the age discrimination against her, Im Sun is smart, capable and unintentionally funny.
3) Supporting characters - I really like Mi Jin's parents, Ko Won and Mr Ju. Jung Young Joo looked bold & beautiful in red lipstick. Delighted that Ko Won has some depth in the middle of the series.
4) Ageism - It's good to see a series that shows age discrimination especially now that most countries have ageing population. The scenes were hurtful but that's the reality of our society.
5) Songs - I love the theme song She's back by The Vane as it is more rock-ish. I also like BOYSNEXTDOOR's Lucky Charms - it's so Im Sun!

What I disliked:
1) Romance - I didn't like pairing of Mi Jin and Ji Ung because I didn't feel much spark between the characters. Because of the body swapping, I see Mi Jin and Im Sun as 2 separate characters. I'd rather see Mi Jin and Ko Won as a romantic pair.
2) Writing - Since I like Ko Won a lot, I was disappointed that he didn't get much screen time after the confession. I am also frustrated by the mystery part of this series because last quarter of series was saturated with many arcs - murder mystery (wah the red herring), romance, body swap dilemma.

Favourite scene:
When Ko Won covered Mi Jin as she transformed into Im Sun.

I really loved this K-drama.

I just finished episode 13, and I’m writing this review while watching the K-drama because I forget what I watched after I finish it anyway. This K-drama is sooo underrated. The acting was so good!! The male lead actor—I think I've seen him somewhere before—and his acting is so good to me, as well as the female lead!! I will definitely find their past K-dramas.

Let’s start with some things I liked. I liked that they included something about what idols go through, showing that even people with money can have a difficult life. The plot, I think, is something new (with the grandma and returning to herself), and while the murder aspect isn’t something new, this K-drama was hella funny to me!! I had so much laughter! Also, the friend of the female lead—I loved her character so much. It made me happy that she was the first to know about the female lead’s secret. There isn’t anything else that comes to mind to add at the moment.

Some things I didn’t like: Why are Netflix writers always trying to sneak in a love triangle even though it’s clear who the end game is?? There was no need! I wish they would have made the second male lead have a relationship with the female lead’s friend. I don’t know if I am right, but until now, isn’t he basically stalking the female lead? (Kinda.) Unnecessary again! The start of the K-drama was good, but halfway through, it had a downfall, and then as it goes to the end, it starts to become fine. I hate how the male lead and female lead can’t communicate. I am damn sure if they had a proper conversation, they could have gotten closer faster. I hate how writers always use the trope of the main characters getting drunk to communicate. Can’t they do it normally? Lastly, why is it that in these types of situations in K-dramas, the male lead always finds out on his own?? Can’t you just tell him? (Of course, it’s not that deep.)
My opinion on episode 13: I was not surprised by the plot twist, but I did not suspect her at all.

Ohhh, I love the female lead's friend!!!! She is so supportive, and the fact that she comforted the female lead and encouraged her to tell everything?! Makes me love her even more. But the only thing I don’t like is that they made her fall in love with the (I don’t know his name) male lead’s friend. Like, the main actor for the male lead seems older, but not in a bad way, but the male lead’s friend seems to be in his 50s?? Are we being for real?!

Finished. I like the ending. I am happy that every important character got their ending, and we saw it. The only disappointment for me is the male lead’s friend and the female lead’s friend. It just doesn’t go together. He seems to be in his 50s, and she seems to be in her 30s or even younger. I really loved this K-drama. It deserves more recognition.

Did I love it? Yes! Do I love it if I bench watch it ? No !

While watching weekly even simple mystery romance show became fun ? and i didn't care about the final episodes flaw because I had good time for whole time so I forgived.
If I bench watch my whole mode is set in beginning and ending which in this case both are super rookie ?. Since first episode is not explaining story or character it developed gradually and ending also did in a rushed way but in okay fashion.
Romance is little under utilisation because couple had a charm to me and second lead had no major role if you ask me.
Joke and mystery save the show. I really loved the show so excitly waited every weekend and the mystery was good ? instead of being there as source of fun they took it seriously.
I would recommend but don't watch it in one day because it will definitely lead into disappointing towards ending ?

story plot is great, chemistry is off

I love the story concept. it's unique and refreshing. both actresses playing it well I love their acting. I dont know why and how but I really cant feel the chemistry of the main love interests. it's so off. I think they dont have enough build up because the girl can only became her true self at night. or i dont know honestly, i just think it's so unfortunate that the love story doesnt interest me. but overall, the story plot other than the love story is interesting!
