Nice one

The characters and the whole story had me hooked. They were great, except for the ending. It left me feeling a bit let down.

But hey, besides that, I enjoyed everything else about it. The actors were fantastic! They really brought their characters to life. You could feel what they were going through. That's what made it so good. It's like they were made for those roles.

I guess that's why I felt a bit bummed about the ending. I got so attached to the characters and their journey, and then the ending just didn't match up to everything else. But you know what? If they showed Jaewoon's emotions more, if they let us in on his side of the story, It would've been amazing, It's not like the story was bad—it was actually pretty good. It's just that little bit missing about Jaewoon that would've made it outstanding.

So yeah, I'd say it was a good watch overall.

Yoon Ho should have said it; he had many chances and had nothing to lose.

Since the beginning, I knew the story would end with these three characters – two boys and one girl. In this melancholic drama, the trio is destined to experience a love triangle with an unsuccessful outcome, a narrative that transcends both straight and gay storytelling. In summary, this drama offers nothing new; it has been written many times before.

However, the acting and production values play a significant role in making this drama engaging. Hong Seung Hee, known for her performance in "Move to Heaven" (Netflix), delivers another commendable performance here. Yoon Na, portraying the heartbroken girl, makes logical, rational, and unselfish decisions throughout, standing firm until the very end.

Yoon Ho is introduced as a scared and confused boy, but he is not as dangerous as initially portrayed. The writer develops his character as unselfish, innocent, and soft, adhering to a common archetype in this genre. There is hope that the writer would push Yoon Ho's character into unexplored territory. Given Yoon Ho's awareness of his impending death, a suggestion is made that he should confess his love to Jae Woon instead of adopting a more traditional approach. Yoon Ho, in his position of hierarchical power within the trio, has nothing to lose.

From the outset, little is expected from Jae Won, who appears to be set up as a loyal and handsome character. The narrative leans on Yoon Na to carry the emotional weight of the love story. Yet, the writer mercifully confirms the canon by subtly hinting at Jae Won's reciprocated feelings for Yoon Ho.

The moral of the story is clear: regardless of the circumstances, if you find yourself falling for a friend you've known for almost forever, express your feelings. In this case, the characters have been friends since childhood, and their familiarity with each other should make the fear of rejection the only potential negative outcome.

A moving film, made with the utmost reverent modesty, about friendship, longing, love and suffering, and set in Korean history in such a way that we have to understand why the ending is this way and not another. My soul is crying. Those Korean hats from the Joseon Dynasty are a wonderful addition to the style of that time ...

The movie has a good ending

Yoon Ho almost confessed but was too afraid to say how he really feels to Jae woon. They are both men, he is sick and he doesn't want his best friend to leave once he knew how he felt. How sad can this be?
Jae wons pov was to short but certain, he also likes yoon ho but he also did not confess! He did not confess but he acknowledged yoon hos feelings!
It must be hard living in that era and loving a person with the same gender.
I am glad that they have seol as their friend, specially to yoon ho, she is inlove with him and she knows yoon ho like jae won but she didnt betray yoon ho. She is a very good friend.

Oh boy!

From the first scene you can guess correctly where this will go. I started watching it not knowing anything about it and after realizing that at the center is the relationship between two male friends I wanted this to be a show about just friendship, but it turned out to be LGTBQ+ story/propaganda with nice visuals but bad script and acting wasn't convincing. Everyone looked suspicious about the person questioning his identity but no one dared to say anything and the drama never became explicit about it's theme. The Epilogue was a surprise. It worked well from the story perspective but for me it further promoted the - I will say it again - propaganda.

For example there is a performer who they present as a man with female face but he obviously is a woman. So gay story was okay for the most part but wanting to present a man as a beautiful woman, oh boy, that turned me off. It took me four days to finish this drama and i finished it because it is a part of a Drama Special Series that i enjoy a lot and want to complete, and after watching all 225 episodes of the all 14 seasons this is the first one that I felt uncomfortable with.

Amazing queer movie

I love this. This tore my soul to pieces and I may not recover in a couple days, but this movie made me sob like I haven’t in years, even 20th century girl couldn’t top this. At least they were able to realize their feelings for eachother and be in a relationship. These babies couldn’t even say their feelings to eachother because of the era. I was borderline wanting to throw up, that’s how much this made me gasp for air. I’m quite baffled that this isn’t popular, even here because it deserves it. Definitely a top 6 “BL”
