Epiphany

Flora and Luke’s biggest problem has always been their inability to communicate. Previously, Flora was the one who insisted that their relationship remain strictly professional at work—no special treatment, no one knowing about them. Yet when Luke actually treated her professionally and even punished her like any other employee, she was hurt because, deep down, she still hoped to be treated as someone special. And then episode 13 flips everything, an amazing turn of events! When Alex, her direct boss who is leaving for a better opportunity, starts trying to poach Flora, Luke suddenly realizes how much the thought of losing her affects him. But instead of speaking to her as her boyfriend, he reacts from his position —and says some truly hurtful, condescending things. With a father who has spent his life making him feel small, Luke has always hated that kind of behavior. Yet in his fear of losing Flora, he unknowingly became that same person.Be careful who you hate, because sometimes, in the moments when you are wounded and afraid, you can become the very person you swore you would never be.And I LOVE that Luke has finally had that moment of self-realization. He finally sees the damage he has done and recognizes the very behavior he has spent his life hating. Now, if Flora walks away for a while… 😂 I wouldn’t even be mad.Let Luke sit there and suffer a little. Let him experience the feelings of regret and guilt. Fear of losing the person he loves, —and maybe finally understand what Flora has been feeling all along.Payback time, Luke! Ha ha! 😜And honestly, it would make his redemption so much more meaningful. He needs to feel the consequences of his own actions before he can truly change.

Wrong words can ruin everything

Luan Nian must thank the Heavens for sending him a friend like Tan Mian. He is the only one who can make him see reason and point out all his flaws and wrongdoings without restraint. 🙏However, I get why Nian said what he said, but the way he did it was so, so wrong. If they hadn't been romantically involved, the conversation would have been completely different, so in my opinion, it really was more about him being afraid of her leaving him rather than Lime. 😔But even if he was concerned about her future and whether she made a mistake or not — regardless of whether he's her boyfriend or her boss — he shouldn't have belittled and insulted her. That's not the way to make someone listen to you. In fact, the result was quite the opposite: her storming off with an emotional decision to leave with Alex and even blocking Nian's number. 😒Well, now he will really have to work hard to win her back. At least he realised he had turned into a version of his father — the person he hated the most — and I can only hope things will get better from now on. And what did it take? A huge argument, a blocked phone number, and a lot of tears and heartache. But like they say — whatever doesn't kill us makes us stronger. 😮‍💨🫣And now I'll have to worry if that phone call from Sun Yu might have been about Yuanzhu. 😟P.S. "Stay cheerful and genuine forever".... my heart. 🥹
