Jane Austin Ambiance, pdone right
This is a piece of art! The rewatch value of this show surpasses everything. By the time the last episode aired, I had rewatched it twice. The first watch was not that impressive as I was watching it with my regular lens , forwarding every slow boring scene. When I gave the show a second chance, I learned the beauty of it. It is a masterpiece and can only be enjoyed if you are ready to hear all the dialogues and see the character development of not just our awesome leads but so many of the side characters. The writing has a flawless rhythm to it. Small plot lines like where Wichai asked Anong to collect compliments given from ppl's hearts and then they can marry, even with all the admiration Wichai had for Anong, giving Anong full decision power to accept him or reject him, the natural progression of relationships e.g Anong with Wichai's sister and niece, Wichai with Anong's brothers, Wichai's servant and his back story... etc etc makes this show a classic to be cherished forever. All plots are connected and add to the depth of story. Not only the characters are well written but the cast is beautifully depicted, yes I have always been in love with Yaya and Tor but Anong's eldest and youngest brother, Wichai's sister, niece, brother & his wife were all amazing actors.
I must admit, Wichai's mom is one character who was too pathetic and her scenes had to be skipped. She was the only one that fit the normal evil Lakorn character profile.
Display of some physical romance is what I crave for. I must admit I don't do well where there are fish kisses or none. This one had a beautiful mix of physical intimacy. Natural kisses that made you believe as if the leads are truly meant for each other but never going over board where u get grossed out with explicit scenes.
I live in States, wish they had a meet and greet with cast and crew. I would love to give them endless comments. Yaya and Tor looked so handsome in every take. Their costumes added to the beauty of the scenes. The lush greenery and perfect sets made this show a gem to be cherished.

Waste of potential
I’ll keep this short as I’m sure many users have said the same thing, but this was a show with a HUGE setup and such low delivery. The plot thinned, characters acted irrationally and never developed, and the only person with any ethical value (jipyeong I love you) was used as an emotional punching bag until the very end. The writer set out to subvert traditional k drama tropes for only shock value, not realizing that those tropes are revered because they allow for character growth, which was completely absent in this show. Love, in this show, is based on appearances and passion alone, rather than empathy, understanding and mutual support. In sum, it’s trash. Was this review helpful to you?
Misrepresentation at its best
Wow- you never see any people of color and when u do in Korean tv, the character couldn’t be lower. The screen time was dedicated to all the characters that no one was interested in. Apart from this, there was no romance. I am not sure what this show was. Someone forgot to write a story. There were so many subpar themes and dialogues. JCW and the female lead were utterly cute and handsome. They didn’t deserve this at all. I hope another production house can bring the main leads together again and do justice to their beauty and talent. Was this review helpful to you?
Originality takes the crown
The production, story and the cast were amazing. Push/chut is looking so handsome through the entire course of the show. The girl who played Nira, did a remarkable job. Her hurt and pain was evident. Though I really wish somehow this was a happy ending for Nira and chut but of course the story wouldn’t be that incredible with a fantasy world happy ending. If you are thinking about watching this, don’t delay it. It is not like any other show. This keeps you captivated and let’s you feel every mix of emotion. Was this review helpful to you?

If you love optimistic plots or sheer sincerity, this one is for you
I am at a loss of words. The writer did a phenomenal job to write all the dialogues with perfection. I am used to Chinese,Thai or Korean shows. Many a times the words are fillers and have nothing to do with the story line. Here every spoken word or gesture meant something. There were lots of extra characters but apart from the mom and the side FL, I didn’t dislike anyone. The main theme, metamorphosis of the ML instead of the FL was so refreshing. It was quite realistic to see the insecurities of the male lead and his longing. For the FL, I absolutely adored her positivity and optimism. In many ways she was as dejected as the ML but her belief in humanity gave her the contagious germs of contentment and trust. Everyone around her felt the same after meeting her.The other amazing theme was no matter the time lapse, the leads were very faithful without realizing what they meant to each other. It’s hard to find dramas with this much sincerity.
For the side couple, I loved how the purity of the girl fought the demons of the SML. Again, it was a pleasure to watch an older man with a younger girl. Normally all age gap themes are Noona shows.
The 20 episodes felt like watching a peaceful stream. 14 and onwards were a stream that went through steep meandering. The focus changed from main theme to all the side characters. It seemed like a season 2 of the first part but the 2nd season was well executed. To me it felt even shorter as a lot of the time was dedicated to the FL’s mom and her so called protégé daughter. I have no sympathy for characters like these who make other people’s lives miserable year after year till eons. One fine day they become angels and the reel life shows them as characters who should be forgiven and even loved more than every other character of the show. The mom reminded me of the Korean tv moms who ditch their kids and come back at adulthood after brutally damaging the childhood of their kid. The kid had been longing for them and now will even feel bad for the MIA mom that it must’ve been a hard choice for her to leave. Good for them but I don’t like selfish characters(just my opinion) so yup anything after episode 14 still connects with the main theme but is a distant off shoot. Oh the trio of cute bad guys… what was that? So so so cute. Looked like a very faithful Humpty Dumpty. Btw His two minions wore these coolest white pants with cheetah face, bro I want that pant- ha ha.
The backdrop was beautiful. The small mountainous beach town looked pretty in every scene. The scallion(green onion) picking, seaweed farming and the ring making scenes were unique and a treat to watch.
All in all I enjoyed the well written closure to every character. The Leads were excellent actors who did justice with their written characters. Their chemistry was amazing and romantic scenes were well performed. Overall this was a heart warming wholesome treat.

If face value can sell a show, this is the winner.
I have seen a fair share of Thai tv shows. Slap kiss, revenge themes and even rape cases. In all of these brutal shows, the repentance is so sincere that eventually it warms up your heart. The earnest repentance gives way to forgiveness. But wow, I am amazed how characterless the main lead is shown here. Deception, rape, kidnap, keeping the girl captive and false accusation of cheating. The male lead kept on doing one onslaught after another. He had two women in one evening, one on his lap and later took the other girl to his room. All in the name of making his wife jealous. The first time ML made love to FL was because he thought she was cheating. He said sorry without any strings attached, in the last 5 minutes of the show that too after finding out about all the evil ladies conspiracies. Yuck to all their time together. Lastly even though ML & FL had many scenes together, strangely there was no chemistry. You never feel the goosebumps or skipping a heart beat. Sad, this was a waste of beautiful cast and resources. Was this review helpful to you?
