I'm rating this episode separately so I don't have to lower my final ratingof this show because that would be a waste. 22 good episodes shouldn't have to pay for one crap one. Even if it's the penultimate episode and therefore a very important one for the final impact of the story. I'm being uncharacteristically nice! So this episode was a massive letdown. After tolerating his nasty as$ for 20+ episodes, I was looking forward to the show taking a step back and reassembling Luke's character after he reflects on his toxic behavior and works to become a better man who deserves Flora's love. Instead, not only did he learn nothing and continues in his arrogant self-pity rants, but he continues to love bomb her when he wants her to forgive him. We see no growth, just the show falling apart as it rom-com tropes its way out of the dead end they wrote themselves into...it's a disgrace. Sure, we get an apology that sounds sincere but everything else he shows with his actions in this episode tells us that nothing has changed. This is all lip service. And therein lies the issue: this show was making serious points about power imbalance and the inherent abuse of that in a relationship but ultimately they were too chicken to land that message with a mature conclusion and that's such a waste. They almost did something significant but ultimately, no they didn't.

Fighting for furry Luke visitation rights 🤣😂

Luke is determined to make his presence known and not leaving til he gets to visit his fur baby Luke🤣😂 Little by little they are clearing the air. He spoke candidly about what really happened with the socialist position. She told him she hated getting paid off like the hand bags. 😝🙄She also made her parents off limits when he visited their tavern to wait for her. He chose to freeze outside of the car so she could rest because he knew she would resent him sharing the space with her.🥰 When all else fails he pulls out the furry Luke card and furry Luke has no objections. 🤣😂 He wants the meatballs made faster. 🤣😂 Flora is at a loss when her parents show up uninvited and Luke is at the stove cooking. Her dad thinks he drank Luke under the table and her parents escort him back to his hotel. A much more sober Luke comes back claiming the hotels are filled. I did chuckle when she asked if he planned to buy their tavern and he asked her if they’d sell. 🤣Du Fong gets interrogated at work about her dating practices. He now knows no matter what she tells him she’s a workaholic with barely time to sleep much less date. He finally told her that while she was incompetent when she got to the company that by the time she left she was his best trained employee.🥰 He offered to cook for her and he circled around a bit to give her a sincere apology. They are admitting where they made mistakes even if just in thought. These are the beginning steps that should have been taken years ago. She is giving him the too little too late vibe and he’s going with I can keep trying til she has a ring on. 🤣😂I am waiting to see what business his friend brings her way and how much networking via clients gets them in the same location. Furry Luke is his way in, but she’s more for them sharing a doghouse than her home.🤣😂
