I think Zhitao knew that this would mean she would eventually meet Nian, and that was her way of leaving the door ajar...🥺His heartbreak scenes, especially the one with the Northern Lights, were beautifully painful to watch. It affected me far more than anything that happened in the previous episode. But it was needed. He had to realise what he had lost and what she and their relationship actually meant to him. 💔😢His words, "I don't deserve to be loved", threw me back to the episode where he wrote on the typewriter, "You don't have to be perfect to be worthy of love", showing perfectly how it had always been for him. A heavily flawed man who wanted to be loved, yet didn't know how to love in return. 😔

Another 10 on 10 episode

After heart-breaking episodes 20 and 21, Episode 22 was a breath of fresh air. But Honestly, I still think, this dram deserved the original planned 32 episodes, as the second half still feels too rushed. Just 2 more episodes remaining. The music and cinematography is top notch. The acting was great, the Norway Aurora scene brought tears in my eyes, what a performance.Also the timing when the OST hits in a particular scene matters too, because it is misses the timing, it won't enhance the scene, but over here it enhances the experience tenfold, especially the reveal that Luke indeed travelled to Harbin to see her and followed her, but never met. Loved the music during that scene.

Epiphanies all ‘round

I had to give a smirk at the shocked look on Luke’s face when he saw the row of designer bags by Lumi’s desk. She was quite happy to show him the one she bought for half price. 😝😁 He never understood what those bags told Flora about him and she never bothered to enlighten him. Tracy plays the what could I do card about Flora’s resignation and reminds him since she wasn’t a specialist he didn’t need to be informed. I also like that Flora got a dig in with that reminder to Tracy.😝 She shows Luke the police video where YuanZhu died. He put it together when she said Sun. Tracy is such a mixed bag of ew for me. I’m really still coming to grips that after all her kind words and seeming support…she sold out for 250 million. It was tacky to hide and not tell Flora in advance and give her some warning. She let Luke take all the blame and I will always hold that cowardice against her. Lumi said that Flora would call someday but did let him know Flora had a new number. His dad is still as kindhearted as ever mocking him about the breakup. 😝Flora’s parents are happy to see her but they knew her aspirations when she left and staying home wasn’t it. They made sure his injury wasn’t the reason and now want to know what happened in Beijing. Luke has already put feelers out to find her and all clues point to Harbin. They both play each other’s words in their heads as they go their own ways. It is old habit but for once Luke registers his words more than hers. He gave her an ultimatum and she said fine never will and was even willing to give up furry Luke. For the first time ever he realized how little she valued the luxuriousness of his lifestyle and he had never been the one left before so this is new turf. Expensive baubles won’t make the least impression as evidenced by the discarded designer bag collection. I don’t think he believed a woman capable of that.😝🤣🙄He has never had a woman take his words so literally and walk away without looking back. The fake call in Norway as he watches the Aurora Borealis. He finally says soft words with true feeling from the heart instead of his pride. He tearfully tells his buddies she threw out everything related to him. But did she? He thinks those bags sum up their relationship. That’s why she slapped him with them to let him know they had no value. At least his intelligent friend told him to get his ass on a plane and look for her. But he needs to do some more changing so it’s not time yet. But wow….a true apology from his cold heart finally thawing. And topped off with the real I love you’s he never said because he always thought love and sex were synonymous. He hasn’t begun to shed the tears and feel the sadness he dished out to her in infinite measure. But that he even recognizes a taste of it, means there is hope for him. Flora is making strides by getting her own place and starting a new company, QingTao event planning. She capitalizes on her six years with Lime and uses that experience as a selling point. 👏🏻They both sit in Harbin tourist spot sadly reminiscing who was gone from their life. I am not sure if they were there at same time or if director juxtaposed them to create the poignant scene. She misses him but is determined to make her own way and this time for all the right reasons. I like that instead of expensive knickknacks, he kept and valued every ticket stub of places he’d visited with her. He is finally learning what’s really important and why. Flora gives Sun Yu an update and already they are planning how to do business together. It’s funny that the pics on her shelf are her real childhood photos.🤣 She also has a prized book shelf where she has every book YuanZhu ever gave her.🌹I also like Luke added a friend for his fish. I think he is literally testing the waters to see if connection can be made with his poor lonely fish that had never had company except the one feeding him. If the fish get along, maybe he has hope. 🫣Lumi and Sun Yu are invited to Harbin. 😁I think Yuan Zhu is giving her a nudge because the Tibetan wedding pic drops out of the book she picked up from his shelf. The fact she did not shred it and toss it suggests hope, but she also put it back where it was so outa sight outa mind. 🙈I like Flora’s encouragement to FuDong-“I’m not scared that you don’t know, I’m only scared you won’t learn.”🤣She is an excellent boss and it looked like she had 6 hires three men and three women. She is surprised her mom has noticed she hasn’t recovered from Luke, but at least gets dating put on hold. Lumi gets an event planned with a beer distributor and brings Flora’s business to his attention. Flora is completely stunned when she sees him from the elevator but walks on by disregarding his greeting because as requested of her grown up self….if she leaves don’t come back. She is following his ultimatum to the letter. I smile as her townie ex escorts her out from the event. Luke is getting back what he has unrepentantly dished out for years. He can think what he likes because it is not her concern. 👏🏻Lumi takes the opportunity to encourage him to learn more languages and how to love. 🤣😂She is the bestest friend ever. 🥰😁 It was satisfying watching Flora host her own event and do it well. I’m sure she also liked putting Luke on the spot to speak as she was at award dinner.😝
