Almost…

This drama was pretty good initially, and due to the choppy way the episodes wete presented, there was very little fulfillment in the story line.

It was refreshing to see EY in a role where she was able to showcase her acting abilities instead of being cast as too cutesy and a bit brainless female. She is much better than thise tropes and needs more roles like this. I thought this was s great role for her.

The stories within each episode felt like you were in a time warp for most of them. You saw the beginning, the middle and sometimes the end without any development on how the ending came about.

One small thing for me was the
excessive amount of times the FL’s face ended an episode for several seconds. EU is a beautiful girl, but it was just odd how many and how long the fade to the next episode took.

The kids were great. Getting them away from believing that they were worthless and incapable of big things was the focus of the drama, as it was the same with the adults - which was more their own self talk limiting them. Some had trauma, some abuse, some were patental issues. it just proved the point that despite wealth or social status, everyone has problems everyone faces difficulties and hardships. And, rather than accepting that judgement, you also have a choice to prove them wrong as long as you find the right motivation and support. And, as someone can be those things for you, you, in turn, can be those things for

I just wish that the production company would have spent more time fling the story gaps, giving the ML more screen time (I think he is an excellent actor) and strengthening the story line.

Overall I gave it a 7.5 because despite the oddities I mentioned, I did enjoy the drama.

the story, the way actors portray their roles.

This Drama is so good that is very simple but it has a big impact to our daily lives,it shows how you handle problems, overcome all the struggle. This drama is a romance but no torrid kissings or bed scenes that also protects children's innocents ,no slappings or any violent action that I almost watch in Chinese drama which most of the time I watch vicious and evil woman.Over all review finally I watch a worth watching beautiful Cdrama series that heals, encourage and thought as how to fight fair and square to life, regardless what and where life brings us.

The Romance Was Cute, But the Boys Had My Heart

I went into this expecting a romance, but honestly, that is not what made me love this series. The romance is there, and I actually really liked the main couple and their story, but this is ultimately the boys story.
What I loved most was watching this group of boys slowly find their confidence, become friends, and learn to believe in themselves again. When the story begins, they have basically accepted that they are going to lose every match and that playing football isn't even fun anymore. Watching that slowly change was honestly so heartwarming.
I loved seeing how they found comfort and support in their coach, how the team slowly became a real family, and how they started to think about their futures and believe that they could actually achieve something. There is so much heart in this story, and I think that is what will stay with me.
I can understand why some people found the series a little slow or boring, because it is a fairly calm drama (for the most part). But if you go into it expecting a romance-heavy drama, you might be disappointed. If you go in wanting to watch a group of teenage boys grow together, find their confidence, and figure out where they want to go in life, I think this series is really worth watching!
I will personally rewatch it!

it’s ok to face a setback in life

At first, I thought this modern Chinese drama was just about a teacher helping build a football team and leading them to victory. But it’s so much more than that.

This drama reminds us not to give up, while also showing that it’s okay to experience setbacks in life. It’s okay to be a “slacker” sometimes if slowing down helps you live a healthier, happier life instead of constantly burdening yourself.

Throughout the story, we witness the pain, trauma, and personal struggles of each student, and many of their experiences are reflected in Lin Wanxing. As she helps each student confront their problems and heal, she gradually heals herself as well. Watching her journey of growth is one of the most rewarding parts of the drama.

The series beautifully balances suspense, romance, friendship, and comedy, with each element complementing the others without overshadowing the story’s emotional core.

I highly recommend this drama to anyone looking for something fresh, heartfelt, and meaningful. It’s much more than a sports drama—it’s a story about healing, resilience, and finding your way through life’s challenges.
While many dramas go beyond reality and constantly push the idea that “winning” in life means chasing glory, status, fame, or wealth, this drama takes a different approach.

It reminds us that living an ordinary, peaceful life is also a victory. You don’t have to be the best, the richest, or the most successful to have a meaningful life. Sometimes, simply finding happiness, healing from your past, and living authentically is more than enough.

That’s what makes this drama so refreshing. It celebrates growth, resilience, and the quiet victories that often go unnoticed.

My comfort show of 2026

The mystery pushed me watch, but the found family and the bonds between the cast made me stay. I can't express how wonderful it was to see the team rebuild their trust and love for soccer again. To see FXS really fight for the team at the beginning, to all the boys finding their spark again, it will forever be a heart warming experience for me to watch. Even LWX who was trying to coast along after trying to escape her past couldn't help but fall in love with the energy and the gravitation to the team.

I generally do not watch sports genres, but this drama dropped quite literally during the best time with the world cup. We were able to see the boys, LXW, and WF rebuild the team from bottom to top, I couldn't help but find myself feeling happiness for every win and sadness for every loss. Truly a found family.

I loved the slow burn. I love how communicative, honest, mature, and understanding LWX and WF are with each other. They never let one wonder too long and was very straight to the point. When one didn't want to talk about something, the other didn't push. They waited for the other to come to them. Very refreshing to see a mature couple in dramas.

Xinxin did great in this drama. It's nice to see her step into more mature roles and show that she's a versatile actress. Her outfits, 100/10. Facecard, 10000/10. I love seeing her improve her craft with every project.

Cheng Jing Ke.. 2 words, husband. material. The way he acts with his eyes! You can see the admiration, the love, the sadness flow from his eyes, I was mesmerized. A pairing I never knew I needed, tbh. They look so expensive next to each other and I love it. I ate up every sec of it (drama, interviews, live streams).

To all the boys, great job. Working in the summer heat, playing a hard game, and acting to their fullest. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for them.

A must watch. It had me laughing and crying. Makes me sad that it's done. My forever baobeis!

This cdrama would make you hooked

I'm really enjoying this drama. The balance between comedy, angst, character growth, mystery, and all the puzzles is just right, making it so easy to stay invested in every episode.

I also love the bond between Lin Wanxing, Wangfa, and their students. The story doesn't just focus on the romance or the mystery surrounding the main leads' past. It also gives plenty of attention to the students' personal struggles and backstories, which makes the story feel much richer.

That's exactly why I've been so hooked. The drama keeps me emotionally invested in every character, not just the main couple. And that just make me love all of them ❤️

Best surprise since Love Between The Lines...

Updated after finished all. Unique well thought out story including mature healthy romance, though kept PG, didn’t leave viewers thirsty. I simultaneously watched Love For You which I could barely finish due to story and FL character/actress and was left “T” for all the hype. Don’t like every performance but admire FL’s work ethic esp. as dubs many/most dramas. I had watched ML before and look forward to his upcoming modern dramas ( with Alyssa and Elvira when finally unlocked on YOUKU ).

Suka banget!!!

Overall, suka banget sama drama Ester Yu yg ini, after Speed n Love. Ini beneran berkesan sih, bagi aku. Romance-nya warm, gak menggebu-gebu.

Keknya dia so far ini, lawan mainnya selalu tipe gue banget haha. Bahkan drama mendatangnya pun sama aktor Hengdian fav gue, si Neo Hou.

OST Favorit gue:

completamente apaixonada

Porém, valeu a pena no final, a história é legal, engraçada, envolvente e cativante.
