Loved it even more than the novel!
This came out so well and I became obsessed with something new after so long. I haven't loved a series this much in a while and have been rewatching it many times! The production was amazing and the actors definitely had a lot of chemistry in my opinion. I hope they make more amazing works like this that we can enjoy!Was this review helpful to you?

Phenomenal storytelling despite few episodes!
This series was so amazing! The way everything played out was perfect and it didn’t feel rushed nor slowed! I think this is such a good series and if you liked the untamed or word of honor, I think you’ll really like this as well! Even tho this only has 12 eps and the untamed & woh have over 30 episodes, Meet you at the blossom really managed to showcase all relationships and stories perfectly!! The acting might’ve not been 100% all the times but most of the actors are new to this so I think they all did great jobs!! Also for you who watched the untamed & woh and got disappointed by the lack of actual romantic scenes bc of the Chinese censorship but this show is produced by Chinese and Thai people so we got some nice kisses and stuff ??Was this review helpful to you?
Weekly VS One day
If you watched this as it was dropped weekly and liked it I HIGHLY suggest watching it as a binge.Something possessed me to watch this specific series over again now that it is finished, and so far this is the only one I have rewatched from originally a weekly to a binge and I was so glad I did. It felt like it was dragging and going no where when i watched it weekly and I was honestly confused in alot of areas. I believe almost all of the translations were updated, once it had been fully released for a while, to more accurate translations then literal ones which cleared up ALOT of my confusion. It also no longer felt like it was dragging on but very chohesive and didnt leave gaps as one ended and the next one started, it would have been better aired all at once as a binge watch honsestly. I also appreciate how well they dubbed the Thai character as I only noticed the difference the second time around.

Surprisingly good and intense!
When I started watching MYITB, I thought I'd get into some fluffy BL-Story. But it turned out so much more intense!The story is quite dark, all the protagonists will go through harsh sufferings, especially the naive and kind Xiaobao.
On the "romantic" side we have the carefree Xiaobao who falls in love with a beautiful girl who is, in fact, the ruthless Huaien. Xiaobao still follows his heart, but Huaien is cruel and cold. Yet, he'll finally fall for Xiaobao and even become possessive and jealous. They'll get seperated by their hardships and Xiaobao will come to hate the man he loved so dearly...
What I liked:
I really liked the fact that this could have been a traditional man/woman romance, it just was BL, it was so natural. It wasn't overdone, the chemistry was real. I feared that the fluffy part would be too much but not at all. I hope we'll get to see more of these.
I did like the darkness of the story. I didn't expect it and cried when I saw both of the ML so helpless at times.
The story was easy to follow, the sidestories didn't prevail so that we could focus on the main story, which is of essence in such a short drama.
What I didn't like:
It was quite short. That's ok, but in general I prefer longer stories.
Li Les (Zongzheng Huaien) acting wasn't always on point. Fortunately, he did well in the most important scenes.
The fighting-scenes were a big disappointment. They were badly choreographed and filmed.
All over, it's a solid 8, even a 8+.
I might even rewatch it.

به دراپ نرسید ولی با زجر تمومش کردم
کنجکاویم برای شروع داستان تو دو مورد بود.یک اینکه بی‌ال تو ژانر ووشیا و کاستوم‌دراما بود.دو اینکه ساخت چین بود و برای اولین بار قرار بود یه بی‌ال واقعی از چین ببینیم نه صرفا برومنس‌های سانسور شده.
ولی خواهش میکنم برید همون برومنس‌ها رو ریواچ کنید و تو انتظار پخش برومنس‌های بن شده بمونید.
وقتتون رو پای این هدر ندید.
من فقط به لطف بالابردن سرعت پخش تونستم تمومش کنم.
اما بزارید دلایل خودمو بگم.
اول اینکه به نظرم حقش کمتر از ۵ستاره‌ست ولی به همون دو دلیل اول نقدم، ۵رو دادم بهش.
فیلمنامه به شدت پراکنده و شلخته و گنگه.
شما حتی اگه یه سیدرامابین حرفه‌ای هم باشید باز هم بااسامی که به صورت رندوم از دهن کاراکترها بیرون میاد، به مشکل برمیخورید و گیج میشید و در نهایت روند داستان از دستتون درمیره.
شخصیت‌پردازی‌ها هیچ منطقی نداره. نویسنده فقط به تقلید از سریال‌های موجود چندتا شخصیت خلق کرده و با کم‌ظرافت‌ترین حالت ممکن اونا رو گذاشته کنار هم.
هیچ روند رشد شخصیتی رو تو کاراکترا نمیبینیم. هواین یه ردفلگ متحرکه و در طول ۱۲قسمت حتی یه ثانیه درکش نخواهید کرد. میخوای عوض بشی؟ اوکی ولی باید به ما این روند رو نشون بدی تا باهات همزادپنداری کنیم...علاوه بر این اصلا چی‌شد که این عشق سوزان بین دو نقش اصلی شکل گرفت؟ با چندبار شب رو باهم‌گذروندن؟؟؟
تدوین در یک کلام فاجعه بود
پرش سکانس‌ها، فلش‌بک‌های بی‌جا و بی‌مورد، گم شدن یکسری کاراکترا و اضافه‌شدن بی‌مقدمه‌ی یکسری دیگه. استفاده‌ی غلط از موسیقی متن و و و
ببینید، واقعا واسه وقت گذروندن اوکیه که همچین چیزایی ببینیم. از جمله خودم که تا اخر هم دیدمش. خصوصا که واقعا کنجکاوی داره یه بی‌ال از چین.
ولی اگه کسی ازتون خواست بی‌ال بهش پیشنهاد بدید واسه پایین نیاوردن سطح سلیقه و منطقمون هم که شده محض رضای خدا اینو پیشنهاد ندید??
خلاصه که تنها پوینت مثبت سریال ویژوال هواین، شیائوبائو، سویین و دکتر بود
نبینید
و پیشنهادش ندید
و اگه دیدید به حق بهش نمره بدید تا در حق بقیه‌یبی‌ال‌های خوب نامردی نشه

a step in the right direction
so I just got done watching this for the second time which is why I’m making a review. it’s RARE for me to finished a series (August 2024) and rewatch it so soon again (October 2024) that just doesn’t happen for me.did this production have its problems? yes. was there some plot holes? yes. did some of the casting (the prince ) make me wanna pull my hair out? also yes. but despite all of that this story pulled me in. it was interesting in ways I was not used to and it had me rooting for the MCs. and come on, their dimples are adorable. yes both, becaeunthey both have them.
I think they have great chemistry and I’d love to see them in other things. I’m really excited to see what other boundaries this production company will push while making some of these Chinese adaptations without the censorship

Da lo que todo fan de danmei desea, una adaptación que si sea bl
Voy a opinar de esta obra por puntos como si a alfuientle fuera a interesar.1. A nivel de dirección de cámara y sonido la verdad podria mejorar porque hay planos que ae entiende la idea pero estan mal ejecutados, hay otros que se ven raros, como qué esperaban que se vea bien pero les fallo el ángulo, la música esta buena la verdad es muy danmei dirían, pero el problema esta en la edición y es que hay muchos problemas en cuanto a la posición de la pista de audio que aveces se nota que esta descordinado o la cancion no esta de paso, lo cual si daña un poco la experticia
2. Las actuaciones y el cast me convencieron, para mi esta bueno y les tome cariño a los protas, es más no estoy enojada con ellos lo cual es raro y hace que me guste lol
3. La historia no es la mas original pero al menos entretiene, AUNQUE falta pulir ese guión porque como me vas a decir 50 cosas como si uno ya conociera a toda esta gente y el lore, la mayoria no venimos leyendo el danmei que es re ????? como en el capítulo 2 te dicen todo como si supieras quien es quien, igual como que el decir todo de una y tan rápido hace que pierdas la emoción xd
3. Te quiero Huaien, deberia quejarme del claro elefante en la habitación pero no puedo, acabe entiendo a Huaien que puedo decir sisoy, asi y toda la dependencia ?
4. Xiaobao... las ganas de abrazarlo que tengo aunque seguro en el proceso pierdo la mano ?
5. Me caga Suyin, no se si vamos a ignorar aca el elefante en la habitación con él o qué porque parece todos lo aman
6. Me dieron los valores tradicionales familiares, monogamia, familia, casa, hija, la familia como Dios la creo ?️??️??

Lo mejor de dos mundos
Es la primera vez que veo un drama en colaboración entre China y Taiwán y aunque no sabía que esperar, termino siendo una gran combinación, con toda esa magia de la cultura china con sus dramas históricos, pero sin la cencura que es la que muchas veces no nos deja disfrutar completamente de las historias bl.La historia me gusto mucho, una buena mezcla de romance, drama, diversión y amistad; Xiao Bao es un protagonista adorable, super dulce, un niño mimado y un poco travieso y muy enamoradizo, me morí de amor con ese niño, al igual que con su familia y amigos, tenía un círculo cercano que lo amaba mucho, con un padres y hermana cariñosos, sus guardaespaldas leales y super divertidos que hacían un equipo fenomenal, así como Su Yin, otro amigo fiel que aunque era algo estricto, lo quería tanto que se arriesgaba completamente con tal de protegerlo. Lastimosamente el otro protagonista no contaba con el mismo apoyo, ya que su "padre" era un ser miserable que lo torturo toda la vida y lo convirtió en un asesino, solo contaba con el apoyo de sus leales guardaespaldas; hasta que conoció a Xiao Bao, desde ese momento conoció el verdadero amor y la vida de ambos cambio radicalmente.
Crearon un vinculo muy fuerte, lleno de altibajos; ambos sufrieron y con ayuda del otro y de las personas a su alrededor crecieron como personas y maduraron bastante. El final fue muy bonito, después de tanto sufrimiento, ya era hora que todos fueran felices.
No les doy 10 estrellas, porque aunque evidetemente los protagonistas tenían mucha química y se amaban profundamente; no soy muy fan de las relaciones posesivas ? y sé que aunque el pobre de Huai En es resultado del maltrato de su padrastro, no justifico que por sus celos obsesivos le causara tanto daño a Xia Bao y a personas inocentes; para mí un amor más real, puro y devoto era el de Su Yin, que aunque nunca confirmo que sintiera amor romántico por Xiao Bao, si demostro con hechos y acciones lo importante que era para él, siempre lo protegio y lo apoyo, buscando lo mejor para el inocente príncipe, incluso cuando no estuvo de acuerdo con su elección final, siguio deseando lo mejor para su vida... Su Yin es un hombre maravilloso y espero que tenga una vida increíble y que encuentre a alguien que lo ame y lo valore como lo merece (probablemente ya lo encontró, solo le falta darse cuenta y educarlo un montón ?)

Actuaciones y química de los actores de alto nivel
No tenía expectativas, simplemente quería apoyar el primer proyecto de adaptación Danmei sin censura, sin embargo me llevé una muy grata sorpresa. Las actuaciones son muy buenas y los protagonistas pueden transmitir todos los sentimientos de los personajes a la perfección. En las escenas más dramáticas me hizo llorar lo cual no es frecuente y la química entre los actores realmente te hacía sentir que están enamorados.Después leí la novela escrita en la que está basado y es muy fiel, los cambios que hicieron (como la edad del personaje de Huaien) me parecieron muy pertinentes. Puedo decir que el drama es mejor incluso que la novela.
Me enteré que son actores novatos, realmente no lo noté mientras veía; que espero que tengan muchos más proyectos.

I've missed drama like this one !!!
En tant que grande fan du BL Novel chinois et grande fan de The Untamed et Word Of Honor, je peux dire que c'est un plaisir de voir un nouveau bon BL- Costume Wuxia !Le meilleur point c'est que la romance n'est pas du tout censurée et très explicite depuis le début. On ne perd pas de temps à attendre la confession des protagonistes, on est plongés dans l'intrigue globale (secrets, conspiration entre Lords, meurtre etc...) et les rebondissements de leur relation tumultueuse.
Le jeu des acteurs n'est pas parfait, ils n'ont pas l'air sérieux mais j'adore la comédie qu'il y mettent, ils sont tous très drôles à regarder (surtout les deux serviteurs de Jin Xiaobao).
Je ne me suis toujours pas sentie émue d'une manière ou d'une autre, donc je m'attends maintenant à ce que ce drame touche mes sentiments plus profonds, mais j'ai bon espoir car il vient juste de commencer !

As a big fan of Chinese BL Novel and a huge fan of The Untamed and Word Of Honor, i can say that it's pleasure to see a new good BL- Costume Wuxia !
The best point is the romance not being censored at all and very explicit since the beginning. We don't lose time waiting for the protagonists to confess, we're just into the global plot ( secrets, conspiracy between Lords, murder etc... ) and the twists ad turn of their tumultuous relationship.
The acting is not perfect, they kinda sound unserious but i love their comedy, they're all very funny to watch ( especially the two Jin Xiaobao's servants ).
I still didn't felt actually moved somehow , so i now expect that drama to touch my deeper feelings but i'm hopeful because it just began !

romanticizzazione di comportamenti tossici
Al sesto episodio ho deciso di interrompere la visione. Purtroppo la romanticizzazione di comportamenti tossici che già aveva fatto qualche apparizione negli altri episodi, viene fuori definitivamente nell'episodio 6: stupro, amore possessivo e controllante, il tutto romanticizzato e non condannato.All'inizio del sesto episodio Huai En prima ha uno scoppio d'ira e ferisce con la spada diverse persone senza motivo, poi stupra Xiao Bao, e poco dopo c'è un cambio di scena in cui Huai En sorride teneramente a Xiao Bao e lo bacia sulla fronte, mentre Xiao Bao è addormentato e sorride anche lui nel sonno. Successivamente è Xiao Bao a scusarsi con Huai En e non il contrario. Xiao Bao dice ad Huai En che può picchiarlo quanto vuole se lo fa stare meglio, perchè lui (Xiao Bao) ha sbagliato e merita di essere picchiato. Non ho parole per esprimere quanto questa successione di eventi sia malsana e totalmente assurda.
L'ambientazione storica mi piace, mi piace anche la colonna sonora e la sigla iniziale, ma provo disagio nel vedere scene in cui violenza immotivata e stupro sono inseriti nella trama come se si trattasse di manifestazioni d'amore, mentre invece in realtà sono l'antitesi dell'amore.

Honestly, if they're going to make adaptations that trivialize and romanticize rape, I'd rather watch a censored Chinese adaptation. At least there's quality in the adaptation and no disturbing scenes. It's simply disgusting that this drama gets a high rating of 8 with a romanticized rape! Wake up!The rest is cheap... the costumes, the fights, the makeup...
They should have let China do it. I'd prefer a hinted romance over a nauseating one.
