light and sweet
Disclaimer: Mark is my favorite Thai actor so my rating is a little inflated, but not by much! This show is refreshing, cute, and fun. I love watching Mark play Jway, a whipped man who takes advantage of every opportunity. He's committed to Sant and proves it in many ways. Jway is a good man with a strong heart and mind. Watching him chase after Sant was a treat. I think the plot has a solid foundation. There's humor and friendship sprinkled throughout the story. If I were Sant, I would be confused why a hot dentist with a heart of gold is trying to date me too. In all fairness, this series is not groundbreaking. To me, it's meant to be lighthearted and sweet, which it delivers! If you want to watch a simple story that will make you smile and swoon over a dentist, I recommend this one. A lighthearted bl
Personally i found the series very lighthearted, happy-to-go-lucky type of story and many positive scenes as opposed to more bl's who mostly focus on fights/breakups/problems. It was nice and relaxing, and for people like me who have a lot in their minds this series is good and makes you feel positive. The acting wasnt bad, although some of the storyline could have been a bit better- maybe not so many weird moments where the protagonist isnt mature.Was this review helpful to you?
if you are a MarkOhm fan too, you can watch this series once but I would not rewatch it.
I'm someone who has always loved Mark in every series, so when GMMTV finally announced that Mark is going to be a Main Lead in this series, I was obviously very excited about it. In the start I really liked it, I mean yes, at some points I did feel like Mark’s acting was a bit off but that was fine. I was starting to pull back from this series after like the 7th or 8th episode, the story was a bit stretched. While I'm currently struggling to make it past the 8th episode, I mean as a BL fan & as a MarkOhm fan I will watch this series because I love the chemistry between Mark & Ohm.So if you are a MarkOhm fan too, you can watch this series once but I would not rewatch it.

A Series with (Too Many) Good Ideas, But Far Too Late
It's tough to make a definitive judgment on this series. While it eventually brings some good ideas to the table, they arrive much too late to truly captivate. Episode 9 offers a slight glimmer of hope, but everything before it unfortunately feels pointless.The character development, despite obvious attempts, remains disappointingly superficial. Take Sant, for instance: his mommy issues from abandonment could have been a poignant arc, but it's bizarrely turned into a joke. You're left feeling utterly confused. Similarly, the relationship between Jay and his brother, full of potential, is only explored far too late in the series. It's frustrating to witness such wasted opportunity.
And let's talk about the product placement... it's so blatant and unsubtle that it becomes annoying after a while.
I also would have liked more depth in the relationship between Yada and Baipor. It's high time GMMTV took GL (Girls' Love) seriously and invested more in nuanced storytelling.
Thankfully, the character of Gugg is a breath of fresh air, and I really enjoyed their presence.
In short, if you're looking for a series to turn off your brain or just have on as background noise, this one will do. Otherwise, it feels like GMMTV is playing with its audience once again.

I was hoping for a BL about a dentist/patient with a phobia, but ლಠ益ಠ)ლ
PLOT: Sant, a student and streamer who tests desserts, ends up with a terrible toothache. He gets treatment at the dental school from a student, Jay, who takes care of him (even outside of school). The two end up becoming a couple, despite Captain, a love rival. Kak, Sant's best friend, has a crush on Yada (Jay's friend, bisexual, who's in a relationship with her girlfriend). But Yada gets dumped by her...+++Mark and Ohm are both excellent actors with great chemistry.
+++ The cast is good: Jimmy, Poon, and the others.
BUT:
### Slow direction, with ridiculous twists, a wacky, even absurd tone. This wants to be a comedy, but it failed.
### Empty and poorly written story.
### Unbearable series even in FF.
=> Please, stop wasting the actors'talent and resources on scripts like these!!

Kak, meilleur ami de Sant, a 1 crush sur Yada (amie bi de Jay, en couple avec 1 fille). Mais Yada est quittée par sa copine ...
+++Mark & Ohm sont tous 2 d'excellents acteurs, avec 1 belle alchimie.
+++ Le cast est bon : Jimmy, Poon, et les autres.
MAIS :
### Réalis° lente, avec des twists ridicules, un ton farfelu voire absurde.
### Story vide et mal écrite.
### Insupportable même en FF.
=> SVP, cessez de gâcher le talent des acteurs, des ressources, dans des scripts pareils !!

A fun way to pass time
The story isn’t too complicated, but it also has some substance. The actors did a great job and had pretty good chemistry. Some parts read like a PSA on having good dental hygiene, which I thought was cute and worked well for the plot.Overall, if you don’t think too much about it, you’ll have fun.

Why do people hate this so much??
As soon as MarkOhm were announced as a pairing, I was immediately so excited for this. And they didn't disappoint!! I watched this series while it was ongoing, and found myself excited for the next episode to air every week.This series is sickeningly sweet, and cringey in all the good ways. It had me rolling on the floor laughing every episode. I do get why some people may not like this though, it may not be everyone's cup of tea.
Mark and Ohm's chemistry is wonderful, and they work so well together. They're comedic gold together, and they're both so charming but silly. I think they were the perfect casting for this.
This show wasn't very serious, apart from Sant's trauma side plot, but it still worked very well. The plot is simple but great. I also found myself loving all the side couples!
The sudden introduction of Jimmy was an amazing surprise, and Sea's cameo in the end was so cute!! This is the type of series you just sit down for, turn your brain off, and enjoy.
The music was also amazing. The OST had me jamming everytime, and the music in the series itself was also great. The sound effects were also perfect.
Finally, the finale was very sweet. It had a great ending, and I'm so excited to see more of MarkOhm and the others.

cute but pretty slow
I did like this but in a way it took so long for me to finish, I would literally sigh everytime I had to watch it, BUT; when i finally did watch it I felt so much happiness. I did take off some points because I felt like it was too much of joking around, which is funny and all but when it’s all just joking it kind of gets old, like yes, they switch it at like episode 8/9/10 and we found out jay’s brother passed away and Jay tried to take his brothers place (in a good way) but still during that it was all just joking around after that. other than that though I did really like Jay and Sant’s relationship, and even though I would probably not rewatch, I will 100% still think about them.Was this review helpful to you?
MarkOhm deserved a better project
I was going into this open minded. I watched this only because Mark and Ohm was in it. unfortunately the show did not have even a decent script, direction was off to me and really cringy in some parts. I actually didn’t watch the last few episodes for a while, almost dropped it but since there were only a few ep left I finished. I really like MarkOhm together and they have really good chemistry. With a better plot and better script, I think that they could really shine. This project for them was not it. please give them a better project. Love you MarkOhm <3Was this review helpful to you?

I hope they give MarkOhm a better show next time. I feel bad to know they are somehow taking the blame for the show's view...

Too Many Ads and a Bad Script, but a Couple with Chemistry
Sweet Tooth Good Dentist has a lot of problems. The script is weak, the characters are uninteresting, and the constant product placement is incredibly annoying. The ads are inserted in such an obvious and forced way that they completely disrupt the flow of the story.It's surprising (and disappointing) that this story comes from such a well-known nóvel writer — the same one behind 2gether. I expected much more. The plot goes nowhere: it's a repetitive cycle of going to the dentist, coming back from the dentist, over and over again, without any real development. There's a small conflict involving Jimmy’s character that shows some potential, but it quickly gets lost in the overall dullness.
The supporting characters don't add much; they're generic and forgettable. However, the main couple is the highlight of the series. They have great chemistry and deliver solid performances, even with such a limited script. You can tell they gave it their all, and they definitely deserve another series — with a better story.
In the end, Sweet Tooth Good Dentist is slow, repetitive, and poorly written. The cast's effort wasn’t enough to save a series that fails at the most basic task: telling a good story.

I feel like this series had so much potential, but it just kept missing the mark (no pun intended).I don’t know why, but for some reason, Mark and Ohm just do not vibe for me. It makes no sense - both are good actors, they get along great, but I felt like that chemistry we normally see in onscreen couples wasn’t there. Mark can literally have chemistry with a brick wall, so I have no idea what happened here. I don’t know if it was them, the writing, the story itself…it just didn’t feel right at all. (I will admit that Ohm’s crying needs a lot more practice. Yikes.)
The writing was rather bland, too, I’m sad to say. It was really predictable, and I felt like I was pushing myself to keep watching?
At one point, I almost dropped the series because of the plot line around Sant’s mother. I’m sorry, but I get so pissed off with the whole “forgive your parent” line. The woman:
- agreed to leave her son behind for a new life
- abandoned him in a dentist, which caused a lifelong fear of dentists and abandonment for him. Let’s not forget that the dentist was most likely a stranger, which makes it worse.
- Left her elderly parents to care for her son.
Now, I don’t care if she was always planning on coming back for him - she left him without a word, in a dentist in what was most likely an unsafe neighbourhood for a small boy to be alone. The fact the show had everyone trying to make Sant forgive her just angered me so much. Yeah, she got screwed and ended up in a poorly paying job; boo-fucking-hoo. Oh, you watch his Lives all the time - and? You made the decision to abandon your family for a better life for yourself. (I got really tilted about this, to the point where I had to take a break halfway through the episode because I was so angry at the writers.) Also, the grandma using her health condition as a way to coerce Sant into forgiving his mother…naw. The absolute rage I felt.
I feel bad for the cast, especially since Mark addressed the lukewarm reception this series had. It sucks because he is such a fantastic actor, but this show was just so lacking. If I’m honest, I think I only kept up with it out of loyalty to Mark (and Khaotung XD must watch everything he’s in, even if it’s only a cameo).
The last episode was confusing. The time skipping, then Sang saying his grandparents wanted him to stay - they didn’t, he just overheard them saying they couldn’t do it anymore. And then his mother showing up and being all loving and wanting to take responsibility and help out; that REALLY pissed me off. (I legit spent half an hour ranting to my own mother about this character 🤣 I hate this writing so much.)
Overall, this show did have potential but it fell flat on its face. When I found out MarkOhm have been made an official pairing I was actually really gutted because I feel like Mark deserves a lot more. No offence to Ohm, he’s a young actor and still newish, and I’m hoping this series is a fluke and just bad writing, but this pairing did not hit at all. I’m hoping their next venture together will be much more enjoyable.
(I wanted to put half a star for rewatch value, but MDL won’t let me 🤨)
