This show taught me not to listen to reviews!!
I usually don’t write a review to shows I watch, but this time I needed to. I’ve been putting this show off for a LONG time because of some of the reviews I’ve seen. But when I finally watched it I found out it was not bad at all!!So if you’re thinking of watching this, but are sceptical because of the reviews, go for it! Everyone has different tastes so don’t base what you watch off of reviews of other people. I really loved this show. I think it was sweet, cute yet also made me cry.
But if you don’t like the show then that’s also completely valid! Just saying not to be driven by what others think❤️❤️

Not great, but not bad either.
This is not really my kind of drama, i don't like it when they want to make it too funny. It always end up with actors acting too much and it looks fake when they do.The drama was ok, i still enjoyed watching it. The acting and visuals were good.
I like the dynamics between Mark and Ohm. You can see they are still young, they need to work on chemistry. Chemistry is not only eyes and kissing, but the whole body must scream cemistry, the way a couple moves, use their hands, vingers. This couple is not there yet.
That said, the last bed scene was close, i could feel more chemistry than in the whole series.
It was fun to watch for one time, but i won't watch it again.

Despite Being Pollyanna, It Worked!
This is a ridiculously shallow, rather empty, plot of a story. It had fluff and was soft and squishy just like a marshmallow – you can see it, feel it, but it has little substance to it. While parts of it were indeed funny, a lot of it was lame, and, yet in a few cases, it attained some very insightful moments. Despite all the irregularities, I loved its diegesis. In a weird, deranged way, while it was so Pollyanna, it never veered far from being relatable to everyday people leading everyday lives. The reasons why we do the things we do in life were so beautifully portrayed. Every road, from why we might choose a career to why we move to be with the people we love, is traversed. It all made sense in the most basic, loving manner. It dealt with the painful life-changing issues honestly, openly, and matter-of-factly. And it did not get too maudlin about any of it. More importantly, parts showed how by putting our most innermost pain in perspective so that we could see how we can move on from it. In that sense, this series does deserve kudos for showing contextual acceptance and peace. I wish it could have given more focus to its protagonists. It then would have been a great series. Was this review helpful to you?

Nice plot and story
From the begining the whole story was extremly funny and nice to watch, as well I was really happy by seeing Mark's fist Main role in a drama, it was really realxing to watch after a long day and the leads kind of entered my heart very easily, also during most of the scenes they mostly had natural happy looks on their faces.Even tho is a very normal drama with not much to it, I really loved watching this week after week, and was actually sad to finish this yesterday.
Personally GMMTV did a great job for the casting of this drama since I find that every single one of them did a good job and they all had a nice chemestry.
My only problem with the story was that going to the of it they just started to add some random happenings like jays accident (and just begin dead for a while, to meet his brother), we didn't need to be scared for him to be actually dead.
And even when the plot started to become boring it was still a very comedic show to watch.
Personally very nice drama but I don't see any particular value of rewatching it.

AVG STORYLINE BUT GOOD ACTORS !!
I’m really not happy with the reviews I've seen about this drama. I had high hopes going in, and honestly, I found it to be a great experience. Mark and Ohm gave strong performances that really pulled me into the story. But I’m disappointed with how some people are reacting. It feels like many are focusing on parts of the story instead of recognizing the hard work of the cast. For me, the story had its odd moments, but the funny and enjoyable scenes made it worthwhile. I even found myself laughing several times, which I always enjoy in a drama.
Even though Mark and Ohm were amazing, I think they still have more to give. I’m excited to see what they do in the future and how they grow as actors. They both have something special, and I believe there are even greater things ahead for them.
In the end, I believe the whole team did a great job, and it’s sad to see mixed reviews take away from their hard work. Well done, everyone! I really appreciate the effort that went into this production.

Funny, cheerful, well-acted… but it suffers from the great evil of Thai BL
Set in the present day and with Bangkok as its backdrop, Sant (a wonderful Ohm Thipakorn Thitathan, who returns to acting, no less, as the main character, for the first time in his acting career, after playing several supporting roles) is just the kind of boy who could benefit from a series like 'Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist', directed by Pepzi Banchorn Vorasataree ('KinnPorsche', 2022).Disillusioned when the young college student discovers that a cavity could affect his performance on a dessert ASMR channel (damn his passion for sweets), the young man struggling with his finances and family debt turns to the only avenue that can help him: the dental clinic, where Jay (Mark Pakin Kuna-anuwit), a narcissistic and attractive dental student, impresses him with his caring attitude. Despite this uncomfortable approach due to the burden of dental anxiety or the so-called Fear of the Dentist, Pepzi, Ohm and Mark manage to keep the series light, cheerful and fun, being sweet enough to be easily consumed.
Ohm is an engaging protagonist, able to effortlessly tap into Sant's humor and confusion over the doctor's kindness as well as his underlying concerns. It's equally thrilling to watch him crack meaningful jokes while filming his social media show, interact with his best friend Gug (Poon Mitpakdee), wander the streets of the Thai capital seeking care for his dental problem, and get swept away by his emotions as he's practically dragged along by the dental student who needs to find root canal treatment cases so he can graduate at the end of the semester.
Starting with the second episode, 'Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist' leaves behind its exaggerated tone, giving way to a series with greater depth, better-developed main characters, and a more profound plot.
CHARACTERS AND ACTORS
Anyone who watched 'Last Twilight' undoubtedly remembers August, the young, sexually ambiguous athlete with whom Day (Sea Tawinan Anukoolprasert) fell in love. Equally enduring in the memory is his character Men, the boy with a heart condition who must help his older brother, Min (Ohm Pawat Chittsawangdee), hide Q (Leng Thanaphon Usinsap) from those who want to kill him in 'Kidnap' (2024).
Taking a supporting role to the unforgettable level is a defining milestone for any actor, and Ohm achieved it both in these two series and with his role as Zo in 'A Boss and a Babe' and 'Our Skyy: A Boss and a Babe'.
Thanks to these performances, he permanently established himself in the imagination of BL fans as one of the iconic faces of this audiovisual genre.
Ohm is mesmerizing as Sant in a career-defining role. He captures the character's complex emotions, making every emotion seem genuine. Despite a tense and winding initial encounter with his co-star, Sant conveys warmth, sensitivity, and depth. At first, he matches Jay's joy and charisma with a natural arrogance, but as the minutes pass, he reveals fragility in his enigmatic glances and subtle expressions.
At 23, Ohm represents a very similar age to his character (whose dessert channel nods to the early satire on influencer culture). By the time filming begins, his own life will have changed drastically, not only because he has become recognized as a leading actor, but also because, along with his traveling companion, he has formed a new BL couple already known as #MarkOhm. "Knowing that my life is about to enter this new chapter of professional maturation was extraordinary", the actor declared on social media.
We will soon knock that more than fear of sitting in the dentist's chair, Sant has not been able to overcome the trauma he has carried since his childhood, when the very first time he went to a dental clinic his mother abandoned him while he was being treated by the dentist, bringing with this fact, in addition, the death of his father and having been raised by his grandparents in the absence of his parents.
Who, watching 'Only Friends', couldn't help but notice Nick, a young man in love trapped in a toxic relationship? Who doesn't remember the charismatic actor for the ease, charm, vulnerability, and heartbreak of a character masterfully played by Mark in this 2023 Thai television series also starring Kanaphan Puitrakul (First), Thanawat Rattanakitpaisan (Khaotung), Jiratchapong Srisang (Force), Kasidet Plookphol (Book), and Trai Nimtawat (Neo), and which explores the theme of friends-with-benefits relationships among young people?
Whether he's a loyal best friend or a troubled lover, the truth is that thanks to his relatable charisma, his ability to infuse authenticity into each of his characters, his emotional intensity, with which just a glance manages to convey subtle feelings of joy, longing, or pain... Mark has managed to win over viewers and establish himself as a versatile actor. For all this and more, Mark not only won the Best New Male Actor of the Year award at the 2024 BEST ARTIST AWARD, but was also able to comfortably settle into leading roles, earning critical acclaim and the affection of the public.
In 'Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist', the former junior badminton player and medal-winning international men's doubles tournament champion confirms why he has become one of the public's favorite actors since 2021, when he began his career in supporting roles in series on GMMTV, one of Thailand's most well-known production companies.
Mark is just as charismatic as Ohm in 'Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist', especially when he flashes that mischievous smile or approaches Sant with actions that confuse the boy trying to get him into the dental chair to examine his mouth. "Is this affectionate nature just part of his job, or is there some hidden agenda behind his behavior?", Sant wonders.
Mark and Ohm had previously worked together on 'Last Twilight', and although their characters didn't interact romantically on that occasion, it was said that their chemistry off-camera was undeniable. What better preamble than this for these two to be in front of the camera today as the protagonists of a series, and as a new ship that I would like to endure over time, starring in future dramas.
Both comfortable in their roles and in control of their characters, they deliver natural and engaging performances, and a vibrant, explosive chemistry that ignites their romance—essential for a good romantic comedy. The beautiful photography and soundtrack, featuring the songs "Magic Potion," performed by Mark and Ohm; "Brush Teeth 2 2 2" and "Mr. Romantic," sung by Mark; and "Make Me Smile," sung by Ohm, also enhance the atmosphere.
This hilarious gay drama features supporting characters you grow to love. In addition to the talented main cast, 'Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist' features a group of renowned actors who add even more depth to the story: Poon Mitpakdee plays Gug, a kind of understanding manager and stage manager for Sant's social media dessert show, always willing to help his friend and roommate in the university condominium; While View Benyapa Jeenprasom plays Yada, Jay's friend and coworker, whom Gug will fall in love with as soon as he meets her.
For his part, Jimmy Jitaraphol Potiwihok plays Captain. Although he appears later in the series, he quickly wins the audience's affection by playing a young entrepreneur who buys a cafe with the goal of making and selling sweets, including his own croissant recipe. A friend of Jay's since high school, he soon becomes the subject of tension with the dentist when he hires Saint, with whom he seems to fall in love.
Despite its clichés, 'Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist' seeks to fulfill its goal of captivating BL fans and leading others to learn about and delve into the genre, even if it doesn't have overly artistic ambitions.
CURIOSITIES
Screenwriters Pratchaya Thavornthummarut and Bee Pongsate Lucksameepong, known for writing the scripts for the BL series 'My School President', 'Last Twilight', 'Bad Buddy' and 'My Love Mix-Up! ', among others, have teamed up once again to bring us a story that, in a fun and cheerful tone, bordering on farce when it seeks to entertain the audience through highly exaggerated, extravagant, ridiculous, absurd and improbable situations, invites us to reflect on the complexity of relationships, young love, identity and the search for oneself through others and the environment that surrounds us.
The plot of 'Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist' is woven around the chance encounters, comic adventures and the birth of romance experienced by the dentist and his "smiling cute boy", two people with very different personalities, but always moved by play, jokes and humor, also offering a cheerful and romanticized look at Bangkok that mixes the old with the modern (tradition and modernity), where fate and chance play a crucial role in the lives of the characters, forcing them to confront their true aspirations and emotions.
As we saw in the first episode, the series' narrative unfolds a joyful and fun yet intricate journey of personal discoveries, encounters, and disagreements that resonate with the audience due to its authenticity and the convincing performances of its cast.
Apart from the concern one character's looming concern about taking care of his oral health and the other's concern about finding a patient in need of root canal treatment to graduate, 'Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist' sounds like any other coming-of-age story, the kind of series that legions of young queer people and BL lovers around the world might seek out as their own audiovisual balm on Friday nights, a la the Taiwanese series 'My Tooth Your Love', starring Andy Wu and Yu Jin.
WORST
If there's one thing I have to point out against it so far, it's that, like most Thai BL series, and those produced by GMMTV in particular, the series shies away from reflecting (and delving into) the reality of the Thai and, why not, global LGBT+ community, especially in terms of uncovering its horrors and misfortunes.
How I wish boys' love series from this Southeast Asian nation would finally contribute to the true representation of this human community. Usually, every time I watch one of these dramas, I ask myself: Why are they unable to reflect that most gay men of today's generations are still dealing with the effects of decades of shame? Is there a real and effective contribution from Thai cinema and television to making the struggles of the LGBT+ community visible? Have today's youth been raised in an egalitarian society? Do adolescents and young adults reflect the desired equality?
During adolescence and young adulthood, human beings constitute an exaggerated mirror of their surroundings. Those who grew up witnessing the lack of social analysis and critique of homophobia, internalized homophobia, and discrimination against homosexuals in movies and television have, consciously or unconsciously, incorporated into their daily lives actions that reveal anything but an understanding of the struggles of this human community.
Surely someone will respond that these plots are only meant to entertain, and that if I want to see realism, I should watch a news program on a television network anywhere in the world.
I, on the other hand, continue to believe that, in addition to delighting the viewer, Thai BL should also provide opportunities to reflect the challenges faced by homosexuals in this country, such as the multifaceted stigma and discrimination in the education system; social isolation and exclusion within families; the disproportionate prevalence of sexual violence and the reluctance to report it to the police; discrimination and marginalization in employment; and LGBT+ disparities in health and mental health, both at home and in communities—social problems that remain prevalent in this nation, despite the recent signing of a law legally recognizing same-sex marriage.
I will update the review later.

Disappointing...
I'm going to be straightforward bcs I'm upset. The script was boring, messy, LAZILY written. They didn't have any real conflicts, and what they had was so stupid. None of the characters was developed, it's upsetting.
It's also rushed: the directing and screenwriting are a horrible combination. In the end, it is kinda fun to watch, but only bcs the actors are AMAZING.
Mark and Ohm did such an amazing job, insane chemistry, cuteness, and they are SO funny. It's upsetting how even they are disappointed with the series and its engagement. GMM did my boys dirty.
Also, cheers to Poon, he's the funniest MF, hope that he and MarkOhm can collaborate in the future. IN A PROPER SERIES.

cutest show ever
This was honestly so freaking adorable. The whole cast was amazing, and Mark and Ohm are everything to me (with a surprise appearance from Khaotung!!). I laughed. I cried. I watched it in a day. I’m obsessed. This show is fun, silly, and heartwarming, and I don’t know how you couldn’t have a good time watching it. It may not be for everyone, but it made me happy, and I can’t wait to see more from Mark and Ohm.
Sure, there are things I could critique but I don’t even care because this show deserves more love!!

Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist — The Cast Is the Story, and That's Perfectly Fine
Sometimes a drama isn't memorable because of its plot. Sometimes it's memorable because every time the cast appears on screen, you simply can't stop smiling. That's exactly how I felt watching Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist. If I judged it purely by its story, it would probably be an average BL. It's cute, predictable, and doesn't really do anything we haven't already seen before. But the moment Mark, Ohm, Pond, and the rest of the cast start interacting, none of that matters anymore. They completely transform an ordinary script into one of the funniest and most lovable romantic comedies of the year. The story itself is actually very simple. We've seen countless BLs built around opposites attracting, awkward misunderstandings, and gradually falling in love. Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist doesn't try to reinvent the genre, and I don't think it ever intended to. The writing occasionally follows familiar romantic-comedy clichés, and there were several moments where I could easily predict what would happen next. Under normal circumstances, that would have lowered my overall enjoyment considerably.
Then the cast walks into the scene.
Mark Pakin is, once again, absolute comedy gold. I've always thought he had one of the best comic instincts at GMMTV, but here he gets to fully embrace that talent. His facial expressions alone can make a scene work before he even says a single word. What I particularly love about Mark is that he never feels like he's trying to be funny. The humour comes naturally from the character instead of feeling forced, which is much harder to achieve than people realize. At this point, I honestly think he's one of the industry's strongest romantic-comedy actors.
Ohm Thipakorn is just as enjoyable. He has an incredibly likeable screen presence that makes it easy to root for his character from the very beginning. He isn't trying to be the coolest guy in the room or the most dramatic actor. He's simply charming, genuine, and incredibly easy to watch. His chemistry with Mark feels effortless, and together they create the kind of playful relationship that keeps the series entertaining even when the story slows down.
And then there's Pond.
Seriously... how can someone be that adorable?
Every time he appeared, he made the series even more enjoyable. Whether it was his comic timing, his reactions, or simply the way he interacted with the rest of the cast, he brought so much energy that I often found myself looking forward to his scenes just as much as those of the main couple. That's actually one of the drama's greatest strengths: nobody feels like they're simply filling space. The entire ensemble contributes to the comedy, making the world feel lively instead of revolving around only two characters.
What surprised me most is that the comedy never overshadows the relationships. Instead, it strengthens them. You genuinely believe these characters enjoy spending time together because the actors themselves seem to be having fun. That natural atmosphere is incredibly difficult to fake, and it's probably why the series became so rewatchable for me. I may not remember every plot point, but I definitely remember laughing.
From a production standpoint, the series is polished without trying too hard. Director Lit Phadung Samajarn understands exactly what kind of drama he's making and never pretends it's something deeper than it is. The pacing remains light, the colourful cinematography perfectly suits the playful tone, and the dental clinic setting adds enough originality to distinguish it from the endless stream of school and office BLs. Even the soundtrack, while not particularly memorable, always supports the comedy without becoming distracting.
This is also a good reminder that not every successful BL needs to be emotionally devastating or psychologically complex. Sometimes all you need is a group of actors with fantastic chemistry who clearly enjoy working together. That's something Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist has in abundance, and it's ultimately what carries the entire series.
Final Thought
Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist isn't a drama I love because of its story. I love it because of its cast. Mark, Ohm, Pond, and the rest of the ensemble have so much natural chemistry and comedic energy that they elevate a fairly ordinary script into a genuinely entertaining romantic comedy. It's funny, charming, endlessly likeable, and exactly the kind of series I can happily rewatch whenever I need something that simply makes me smile. Sometimes that's more than enough.

Probably the worst BL I've seen
Disclaimer : I do not aim to bash anyone here. I'm just writting my opinion on this show. No offense to anyone. The show is really, really, really bad :
- The script is poor at best, written by an old and lonely ChatGPT at worst. I've never seen such a boring and unappealing story in a Thai BL. I still wonder about how such a terrible script got green-lighted at GMMTV.
- The production is terrible too : everything, every set felt fake. I know that budget is a burning topic for BL (especially at GMMTV) but, it really felt like there was no money for the prodcution.
- Now, the real issue here...Mark and Ohm...I truly believe they did not fit the roles. They've had a lot of experiences (as support roles) in other series and these series were set in a more "unusual" and "mature" settings (excpetion being My School President for Mark) than a traditional college students plot. Seeing the both of them in a setting such as this felt like a step backward.
And to conclude on a positive note : at least the show was colorful.

Way better than others say.
I'm technically rewatching this because I fell asleep last time at episode 2 due to dsfs LMAO. Anyways, because I fell asleep last time I did not remember a single shit about this Bl. But I kinda dropped this for weeks and decided to pick it up again. Which I wasn't super confident about since the reviews were realllyyy bad. And I have to say, this Bl is wayyy beter than many comments or reviews say. I heard people say many just hate on it because of MarkOhm and that makes me sad... They are so cute together. The plot Isn't exactly how it's described but that's okay! Of course you can dislike this by the way, opinions are opinions!Let's start at the first good points. I'm a BIG fan of the OST ยาวิเศษ (Magic Potion) it's soooo cute . I fucking luvvv it. The intro itself has cute letter animations, sadly doesn't show a lot about the series itself. It's just really fun and silly, just like the song! Everything about the production itself looks extremely simple but in my opinion that doesn't matter a lot. The story is cute enough and doesn't need to be extremely special. I'm gonna be very honest right here but I'm not the biggest fan of Jittirain. Some of her work is incredible but some are also bad. I either love or hate it. Pepzi has to my opinion made sooo much good stuff. I don't think there's a drama out there that she has directed that I didn't like. I also love how Klom is the composer!!
I fucking love how they went on cute datessss. Each time they went on one my heart melted. They had such a romantic friendship that it felt like they had been dating for years. I'm not even joking I was screaming at my screen. They had the type of slowborn where you kinda had to wait for the confession even though it was clear they both like each other. For people who don't like slow burn I do NOT suggest this series. It's really slow. I do kinda have the feeling this series is more focused on a younger audience? Not gonna lie but everything was too adorable and slow for it to be for older audience. Also the poster, song and style is kinda childish. This does not matter to me at all, but it's just something I noticed. I like how both Jay and Sant are huge green flags and they actually have communicationnn. Feels like this lacks in a lot of series, because I think communication is very important in a relationship.
Finally a series with a rare jobbb!! I feel like I've become tired of the engineering student/medical student trope or the one where on of the ML are rich ceos, doctor, Idols and mafia's. I like how one is a dentist (yes, technically medical but still rare) and the other a YouTuber who loves deserts. It helps set a cute trope and it just feels different.
Like I mentioned before the hate seems extremely forced. Maybe I just liked it too much so I don't get it but a lot of people are talking about the bad plot. And here's the thing, to my opinion the plot isn't like how it is described. It's described like Sant just has a lot of dental problems due to him liking deserts and that Jay has to fix everything. The emotional growth is one thing that it lacks and I agree with that. I also saw people being mad at it having almost 0 NC scene's.... WHAT. Sant and his mother's relationship could've been more complicated. But besides those things, I don't get the amount of hate it is receiving.
I really liked Kak!! I always like it when Poon plays a character because he's always funny but serious. He seems to want to actually help his friends but doesn't really know how to. It was quite funny to me how Kak didn't even figure his friend Sant dating Jay. His unrequited love for Yada was lowkey funny but also kinda sad. Bro really caught feelings for someone in a lesbian relationship. I'm not gonna lie Yada also treated him a little shitty. I love Yada but she should've made some shit clear to him as well. Move on brooo.
Do not listen to all the bad reviews! Form your own opinion by watching it. This is something I've seen multiple people talk about already. There's a lot of people who don't like it. But don't let others influence what you watch and don't miss out on this banger (in my opinion).

The series was OK
First let me start by saying that the series was ok, It had a lot of sweet moments of fluff and cuteness but sadly that was all it had. I am a big fan of Mark and love his acting but to me this was not the best part for him. He is a gifted actor and this series just was missing a lot. It had sweetness and funny moments but it lacked real storyline development. His chemistry was ok with Ohm but just did not feel it here to much. I wish the series was not so over the top with comedy moments and too much trying to be funny, felt cheesy a lot and started to lose interest. The storyline needed a lot of work this series just sadly did not work for me. I hope to see the pair of actors in something better than this. Was this review helpful to you?
