This series is damn good , every episode gives me goosebumps , every episode contains new twists , and literally ends in such a way that it makes me crazy waiting for the upcoming episode , literally each one of the episode makes me think in a different way , along with the leads solving the problem I also get so into solving the case , finding logic and guessing what can happen... This drama is really interesting , I wanted to watch something with genres like horror along with mystery and most importantly romance..... Who is the reason behind this murders , where is the cop who is said to be dead??? I am so excited but the episode got delayed..... It is exactly I wanted to watch from a long time , it has mystery , horror but doesn't lack romance at all , I am really loving this one 13th episode is going to be more interesting , I just want to know what's gonna happen soon . As the I expected the things ended up very peacefully , things with king , p'singha's sister ... Thup was really dedicated and loving boyfriend throughout the whole series , he was understanding, naughty and supportive and narakkk mak .. :)
Ost was too good, I got to learn about a lot of things about thai traditions and rituals , this serie itself is so damn different and interesting fr , I got to see something new it made my every Friday interesting , I never got bored ..

When it comes to OST totally fire , still hooked on Poohpavel's Pray
The ending episodes were off , I did kind of lost my interest , and I probably knew that it'll be a happy ending .

But believe me it's worth watching , the chemistry is good , best for those who enjoy thriller/mystery stories and don't mind a darker atmosphere in their romance .

Till episode 10 it was quite fine, but then the script plummet...

The positive first: The special effect makeup was on point :) Even the acting was on point, even when we know that Pooh will never be a top actor because he does need a lot of speech training, but his facial expressions where also on point. When I watch a horror/mystical/crime series I expect the characters to act appropiate and we did not get that all the time. It makes no sense whatsoever when King enters the "Fridge" alone - no police officer would do that - also that Thup left the car, when his mom said he should not - there are more of such loopholes. As usual with a change2561 production the culminating finale is rushed and does not make much sense. The fighting in the end was also so off for me. So as usual the scriptwriters could not complete a very good story appropriately.

To contrast this type of show with poetic love scenes felt off and it seems they did cut the NC scenes, because the editing is quite rough in that places. I would have prefered when the main couple had lust and desire first and love after the solving of the case which would also have more impact. The side couple was done better, because there was love from Darin all the time, but Sey not recognizing it. King which was not liked by most disappeared and the father-son conflict was unresolved. Was there corruption at work because dad would like to bury the case? We will never know, because the scriptwriters made the choice to give us drama but not resolve it.

I personally don't like stupid acting characters and I don't like drama when it's not resolved. So while I had rated this show very high till episode 10, the end "ruined" it for me. It's not catastrophically bad, but it could have been so much better. And so this series is far from a 9.5 or 10 I see here in so many reviews. I will always be critical when I see bullshit and I really hate it when they do it. Maybe some of you are fangirling or fanboying over the couples, but I do not care about the couples or the actors, only the story and the performance count (and of course production quality - but I can't say anything negative about that). For me it's a disappointment that a very good show got ruined for no benefit at all.

Good, but…

The positive point is that the show is marketed as a horror series, and that’s exactly what we get: real, fairly gory scenes, ghosts, etc. The plot holds up, and the actors are convincing.

However, the series has two flaws. The first is the romance, which is far too excessive and completely off-tone. We have a love story between a cop and the main witness in a series of murders, so you’d expect passion. Instead, we get long, formulaic, syrupy dialogues about love. It feels out of place.

The second flaw is the ending (i.e., the last two episodes), which is clearly rushed and full of inconsistencies. It’s strange that the writers weren’t able to maintain the same level of quality all the way through.

In the end, it’s a series worth watching, but it’s far from unforgettable.

Hung on the Tree: How Goddess Bless You From Death Exposes Sacrificial Logic

Watching Goddess Bless You From Death as someone who loves horror BL, I didn’t end up with that fun “ooh, spooky lore” buzz at all. Especially once the finale hints that there might be multiple goddesses tangled up in this ritual, even the title starts to feel slippery. “Goddess Bless You From Death” sounds singular and almost comforting, but underneath it suggests this whole messy crowd of divine figures that can be invoked, misquoted, or even invented to excuse whatever people already want to do. Instead of cozy supernatural worldbuilding, it felt like the show was holding up a mirror and making me really look at what happens when belief becomes a cover for hurting people you’ve already decided are disposable.

What really got under my skin is how Bom and Aisun aren’t doing anything conceptually new. They’re just taking a very old, very human logic, sacrifice a few so the chosen one lives longer, and turning the volume all the way up so we can’t pretend it’s anything but monstrous. The show lays it out plainly: the ritual is about life extension. Seven people die so one person can keep breathing. On the surface that sounds like pure fantasy, but it maps onto so many real situations where harm is justified “for someone’s good,” a family member, a leader, an idea of order. The math is always the same. Some lives count more. The people doing the math never put themselves in the lesser category.

The bodies are what really drive it home. Those stitched eyes and mouths, in both the old murders and the current cases, are not subtle. These victims are literally not allowed to see or speak, in life or after death. The shaman spells it out: the stitching pins the ghosts down so they can’t go looking for justice or come back to curse the people who killed them. So the ritual does two things at once. It kills people, and it tries to erase the moral fallout of killing them. It’s murder with a built-in gag order.

As I kept watching, I started to notice who actually gets chosen for sacrifice. It’s never the rich or the powerful. It’s always people who are vulnerable, inconvenient, or easy to write off, people whose deaths can be reframed as destiny or necessity. Bom and Aisun’s almost complete set of seven includes people like Darin and King, and then finally Thup, who is already marked as “other” because he can see ghosts. The show is making a quiet but brutal point: sacrificial systems are designed to land on the people whose complaints won’t be heard and whose suffering can be explained away.

Thup hurts the most in that context. His ability to see and talk to the dead gets described as a curse all the way through, this misfortune he just has to live with. But the ritual takes that ability, which really is a gift, the power to witness and carry the stories of the dead, and twists it into a reason he can be used up and thrown away. Instead of being valued as someone who connects worlds and advocates for the forgotten, he gets treated like another consumable resource. That flip makes the whole thing feel less like one bad guy’s evil plan and more like a pattern. Societies have always taken what’s strange or liminal about certain people and turned it into an excuse for violence.

One thing I really liked is that the show never says “belief in spirits is the problem.” From the very beginning, with the novel excerpts and the shaman’s explanations, it’s clear that honoring gods, ghosts, ancestors, local spirits is just part of daily life in this world. Incense at crossroads, ribbons on trees, little shrines in overgrown corners, all of that is shown as normal and even comforting. The horror doesn’t come from belief itself. It starts in that moment when someone decides their personal desperation matters more than everyone else’s right to exist.

Bom talks like a priest and carries himself with this careful piety, but the details of the ritual scream control, not devotion. The exact rules, seven bodies, specific preparations, stitching the dead shut, feel less like worship and more like a technology, a system for manipulating power, keeping some people “pure,” and locking dangerous others out of sight. By the time the finale suggests there might be multiple goddesses in the background, it doesn’t feel like “ah, new lore” so much as “of course there are many names you can grab when you want divine cover.” There isn’t one clear divine voice here. There’s a tangle of symbols that humans can bend to justify what they were already planning to do.

Coming at all this as a BL watcher, I really love that the show argues about faith and ethics through relationships, not sermons. The shaman tells Thup he’s going to see things he doesn’t want to see and hear things he doesn’t want to hear until this tragedy is resolved, which basically frames his whole life as an unwanted prophetic calling. But the thing that actually pushes back against Bom and Aisun’s fake religious framework isn’t a better ritual or a rival priest. It’s Singha simply refusing to accept that extending one life could ever be worth what’s being done to those bodies.

That’s where it feels like the show is poking at a certain BL comfort fantasy. In a lot of stories “love conquers all,” and we don’t look too closely at the systems underneath. Here, love doesn’t override ethics. It intensifies them. The more Thup and Singha care about each other and about the victims whose stories Thup carries, the more impossible and wrong the ritual feels. Their relationship doesn’t make the sacrifice beautiful or tragic in a romantic way. It exposes it as something that cannot be cleaned up, even if keeping quiet would be safer.

So watching the ritual play out left me in that strange space between fascination and disgust, and I’m still sitting with it. The worldbuilding is rich. The imagery is striking. But the show never really lets you relax into it. Under all the candles, the chanting, the arranged bodies, there’s a very simple question: are some people’s lives worth killing for, and who gets to decide that? With the finale’s hint of multiple goddesses in the background and a title that sounds singular on the surface, it almost feels like the series is side-eyeing how easy it is to package violence in a pretty religious phrase. In the end, it answers its own question not with big speeches but with where it puts its focus: whose pain it centers, whose voices it lets be heard, whose deaths it refuses to forget. That act of remembering and witnessing, of saying “this is not acceptable,” is what ends up feeling sacred in this story.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Wanted to love this one, but sadly it was just Okay for me.

Where do I begin? This drama had all the ingredients to be a 10/10 – a cool concept, interesting themes, and a nice cast. I was honestly really excited.
But… I just didn’t like it as much as I expected. I can’t even point to one specific thing that didn’t work – the first few episodes seemed really interesting, but I just couldn’t get into the story. I kept hoping it would grab me at some point, but I kept wavering between “this interests me” and “this is complete boredom.”
I don’t know.
I love ghost stories. I love crime stories. I love crime stories with ghosts… sighs I can’t win all the time.
Although I gave this series 6.5 stars, I would still recommend it because it had potential and an interesting enough plot. This is a story about Singha, a rational police inspector, and Thup, a painter endowed with extraordinary supernatural senses. As they investigate a series of murders tied to occult practices, they fall in love and kiss. They’re cute, and I wanted more of them together. The supporting characters primarily consist of members of the investigation team who assist Singha and Thup in unraveling the ritualistic murders and facing people, ghosts, demons, and killers. I actually enjoyed all the characters – they were flawed, they made mistakes, they doubted, and they fell in love. Yes – another half star.
Overall, I obviously did like it.
The music? I liked it. It was moving, chilling, tender, and I’ll give it another half star.
So… overall, it’s imperfect, but enjoyable if you’re in the mood for something with ghosts, criminal investigations, and romance.

When Love Meets Forensics A Crime BL Masterpiece

I am completely speechless. Since The Sign in 2023, there hasn’t been a proper police BL series, and finally we have one that brings everything I love together, police, crime, and forensic investigation. Goddess Bless You from Death is an absolute masterpiece. Even better, both Pavel and Pooh return and deliver such incredible performances that I couldn’t look away for a second.

This series is everything I have ever wanted in a BL. The crime scenes are chilling, the ghosts are terrifying, and every moment keeps me on edge. The pacing is sharp, the music builds tension perfectly, and the visuals are dark and cinematic. It captures the essence of mystery and horror while still giving space for emotion and connection.

Pavel shines as Officer Singha, the tough but rational cop, while Pooh as Thup brings depth and vulnerability through his ability to see ghosts. Their chemistry feels magnetic, growing stronger with each encounter, and I cannot wait to see their relationship evolve.

This is easily one of my favorite BLs of the year. It is thrilling, emotional, and beautifully made.

I'm still waiting for some answers though..

They finally did it. Finally made a series that is good and good to watch. Until now, it's been a mixed bag of mostly disappointments, but they finally got some things right and to this point, I surprise myself by saying that. Thirteen episodes, and I'm still surprised that it was solid until the end, no mid-season mishaps or last minute letdowns. For the most part.

Goddess Bless you from Death was, from the beginning, very promising. Especially for someone who has not specifically enjoyed many Change2561 productions. I watched the first couple of episodes and thought, "yeah, I see this going somewhere". And it actually did? (It did!)

Let's start by talking about the story. This one is confusing AF. They did themselves no favor by not releasing an episode for a couple of weeks, because the sheer amount of details in the plot were lost on me as I watched it weekly and I had to have many notes and discussions to get a conclusive idea of the plot. This happened for thirteen episodes.
Which is my roundabout style of saying, this was a really good plot, executed in a very confusing way.

Yes, it's easy to guess half of the narrative before the crime solvers of the case can wrap their brains around it, but the ability to see clues that the characters can't is integral for a mystery. How else can we yell at the screen about them not noticing the tiniest of details?
At the same time, the other half comes not as a complete shock, but as the payoff for good storytelling. I've come to the conclusion that there is no mystery without a few loose ends, and that's okay. What's important is that the story moves forward logically, and well. It did.

Now coming to the characters. They are likeable. Not all of the time. Some of them, almost not at all, but the thing with thrillers are, you know immediately who you want to root for in some stories. This is one such, and it can mean that character depth or complexities are a zero, but thankfully we get character growth, and a lot of people who are likeable from the get go.

Finally, combining three or more genres, it's very easy to lose track of one or more of them in favour of giving just one genre preference. Which could have easily happened here, but the balance was always there. They could've completely leaned into the thriller/mystery genre by making this about the serial killings, I in fact thought they should at one point! I'm happy to admit I was wrong. They also had enough material to make this a full horror series, but they chose to stick with the combination of genres, and it worked so well!

But of course, if the records are to be believed, this could have so easily become just a romance, but thank you writers, thank you for writing it like you did. Because in real life, under no circumstances, must you date a person you are investigating, but here? You can't help but root for Singha and Thup. For me, it was because it felt realistic. The relationship did not seemed forced, nor did it feel overwhelming. Certainly, there were moments where I wanted to yell at them both for being lovestruck idiots investigating a high profile case, yet, the romantic in me just shushed those thoughts.

Pavel and Pooh actually did a lot to help with making their characters that appealing. All the actors actually did a good job, they got the job done and well.

But the critic in me, unfortunately was also very critical of this series. I didn't want to be, but when something is good, you expect it to be perfect, which it unfortunately wasn't. Mostly the story. Tons and tons of plot holes appeared as they were setting up the story and I kept thinking they'll resolve it with during some big moment - but that moment never came? Keep in mind that I understood a lot of the story thanks to talking about it with others also watching, if not, I would never have connected those dots.
And even more dissapointing was the fact that we never get an explanation to half the things I wanted answers to. There should have been after all that build up.

I would absolutely recommend this one if you're looking for a series with mystery, horror and romance. It is quite scary though, so if you don't do well with horror, proceed with caution. But it is a good addition to the group that already combines the three genres, so go for it!

How To Stay Undead?

I'll make this short. It was very entertaining from beginning to end. Though I've seen many ghost/ ritual stories, this was a cut above the rest in the same vein. Specifically the occult without reincarnations. The actors delivered for the most part. Pavel was good in his role. Graphics, make up and special effects set the scenes which made it credible. This is the best I've seen of Michael and TopTen as a cp. Finally in sync and comfortable interacting with each other.

My criticisms lie in the structure of the story itself. Thup moving from victim to resident spiritual advisor to boyfriend to procedural advisor. How many hats? His methodical way of thinking seemed to outshine those who have been officers for years. Singha's questionable protection practices. Singha losing it at the end and going all crazy instead of trying to free them. While it is said mentally ill people do possess superior strength when in psychosis, but like he outsmarted and overpowered every one until the end. Victor / Bom did a spectacular job.

I'm not a fan of Pooh and his acting abilities. It's on the short end but here it was passible. His nasal monotone does not help. The script was well chosen to suit Pavel's. I will also suggest that Pavel next to Otto gives a more believable dynamic that Pavel with Pooh. It's underwhelming, with Pavel carrying the weight.

Overall, very intriguing and entertaining.

Storyline had potential, wasted on bad script and acting

This is my first review so please forgive any mistakes. I have been watching BL for about 8 years now and I was so sad to see this series wasted. It had so much potential.

The Good:
The beginning was good for the most part. It opened on the seven bodies tree murder, which was done very well. The realism of the bodies and the scariness and the horror were all there. The ghost makeup and acting was so good too. I had to close my eyes a few times throughout this show because it was that good. I liked the lore behind the killings (for the beginning at least), but at some point, it felt like they kept dragging it out.

The actor of Bom, the crazy killer son, did a wonderful job. His psychoticness, craziness, and his urge to kill were all acted out with great skill. HIs plot twist was one of the good surprises in this show. I never saw this twist coming and I was very surprised by how well he acted.

Now onto the Bad:
I’m sorry (not really), but Pooh cannot act, and for the life of me I can’t see their chemistry they used to have in Pitbabe 1. Whenever I see him on the screen and tries to act, it just cringes me out. He always has like this submissive soft voice thing going on and it just doesn’t hit right. He always plays a timid character who tries to act strong but really isn’t. This role felt similar to Charlie from Pitbabe, the damsel in distress, who can’t do anything without a protector. His acting comes off emotionless and flat. I do wish that Pavel had a better partner who can act alongside him (please don’t hate me). Pavel did get better after Pitbabe, but Pooh for some reason just got worse. I hate his character and how he portrayed him, but I do understand that part of it was the script.

If you watched this show or want to watch this show because of the police aspect, DO NOT, the police work in this show is horrendous. First off, when cops find someone, actually the only person at the crimes scene covered in blood, you should arrest them, not fall in love with them. I don’t like how the two main leads started their relationship, it was so unprofessional that I struggled to watch their romance. I wish this show focused more on the horror, police work, and the murders, but whenever something important happens: they catch the killer, find important info, they always have to kiss, hug, or be intimate in the wrong times, which leads to more problems. Also where are the handcuffs in this show???? Dozens of cops, no handcuffs for criminals in sight??? They don’t ask the basic questions, nor do they clarify what the characters are actually doing. Like when they first discovered the bodies, it was obvious it was a ritualistic killing so why didn’t they ask: What is the ritual? Why are seven bodies needed? Why are the eyes and mouth sown shut? How are the victims related? In what order were they killed? Why did that matter? Where were the bodies kept if they were each killed one day apart for a week? Like all of these questions would have gotten them to the killer if they just actually did the work. Like I get that they wanted some of these to be surprise factors later in the story, but they were such obvious questions anyone would be asking at first, not just dismissing everything.

I do not like how they introduced Pooh and Pavel’s character’s. I wished they made Pooh’s character become some sort of ghost hunter or something, then you could have them meet at the scene, both strong independent characters who both want the same thing, to catch the killer and solve the case, but each does it differently. Pooh’s character through his knowledge of folklore and the supernatural and Pavel’s character through police work, but nope, they did this weird unprofessional cop/witness/suspect thing.

The whole rivalry between King and Sing was stupid. Horribled explained and showed how unprofessionally both characters were. Foced more on hating each other and taking the other one down instead of solving the case. Like the second they got this case, they fought each other and King and his father just focused on planting evidence to close the case, with like zero investigation or time put into the case. Like WTF??? seriously, like I get the corrupt police aspect they tried to do, but it was entirely missed. It would have made more sense if the killer was King’s father who was trying to save himself and King from the curse and that is the reason why King’s father needed to plant evidence and close the case fast, but nope, they dropped the ball on that one too.

This series had the potential to be one of the best, but sadly, Change failed. The weak non-existent police work, Pooh’s ‘acting’, the unnecessary rivalry, and the bad execution of the story and ending. All the horror and extremely good makeup lost.

dark supernatural series

Overall: if you do not enjoy scary movies, then I would recommend steering clear of this. I appreciated that the plot was different from most fluffy romance BL series. 13 episodes about 55 minutes each. Content Warnings: there are a ton of them including past and current murders, blood and repeated gruesome images

Note: I was going to try to do timings to focus on romance and take out the content warnings but it was impossible. Where they frequently meet at the police station you can see gruesome images on the wall behind them. Romance of the main pair kicks into high gear in episode 6.

What I Liked

Room For Improvement
- there were several nonsense actions/because the writer said so things, episode 12 was a ton of ridiculousness that pulled me out of the story
- did not like how characters didn't believe their romantic partners, the romance sometimes fell flat compared to the horror
- unless I missed it, I'm not clear on why the 2nd CP broke up so I couldn't root for their relationship since it seemed kind of doomed because I didn't know that they fixed whatever sank it the first time

Worth watching for PoohPavel alone?

First of all, I’m a fan of PoohPavel ever since I saw them in Pit Babe. As Thup and Singha, they definitely have chemistry. We get several cute moments and a sweet ending, and there is character development—especially Singha, who starts out very rational and gradually becomes more open-minded toward spiritual matters because of Thup. Over the course of the drama, their relationship develops into a mature and trusting one.

However, I wasn’t always satisfied with the plot. Especially in the middle part of the series, the crime aspect became so dominant that the romance felt almost negligible. I understand that this is a mystery series, but firstly, the balance between romance and investigation shifts unevenly throughout the show, and secondly, some of the police work felt unrealistic. For example, characters often go alone or only in pairs to investigate dangerous or suspicious places, which was sometimes frustrating to watch. I also agree with others that the ending felt rushed and not as captivating as I had hoped—for instance the final fight.

I don’t have much to say about the side couple. They did add something new to the series, and I wasn’t dissatisfied whenever they appeared, but I also didn’t actively look forward to their scenes. Overall, they felt like a pairing with cute and teasing moments, but nothing particularly memorable to me.

The character development of King—especially his relationship with his father—was mostly well done. However, towards the end it remains unclear how King and his father actually resolved their conflict, since their conversation happens off-screen and we only get a brief approving nod from his father. This was a bit frustrating, as it was one of the major subplots.

Regarding the ghosts, chanting, rituals, and overall atmosphere: this is definitely a well done horror series, but I agree with the 13+ age rating on MDL. It’s not overly scary, but rather tense. Additionally, I really liked the gripping OST.

Overall, the drama was enjoyable despite its flaws, but it wasn’t consistently captivating. Whether I would rewatch it, I’m not quite sure—maybe if I ever run out of unwatched mystery series that interest me. During its airing, I also started and finished another ghost-related story called "Khemjira", so I naturally had something similar to compare it to. In summary, my feelings about this series are mixed, making it hard to clearly recommend or not recommend it.

Nevertheless, I’m definitely looking forward to "The Grim Lover", the next series starring PoohPavel.
