Enormous Legendary Fish (2020)

Both synopses revolve around young women who become involved with supernatural beings, specifically sea princes or gods, and are drawn into complex conspiracies and conflicts within their realms. Sacrifice, forbidden areas, and secrets play significant roles in both stories. Additionally, mistaken identities, love triangles, and the blurred lines between good and evil are common themes in both narratives.

Both are Chinese fantasy/historical movies in which one of the leads is a human and the other a magical fish.

A girl is sacrificed by her people to marry a sea god/king of a mystical country to appease him. He is cursed and his appearance is that of a monstrous beast fish. It's a very similar plot where he tries to show his affection for her while she just tries to run away.
